I really do not know if I should be writing this for the Brenham store, however I was on their web page when I made the orders. I think it came from corporate. I order 100 ft. 10/3 Gray Solid CU UF-B W/G Wire. Paid $260.93 with Paypal. 2 days later I get a email that HomeDepot went back to Paypal and increased the total to $264.60 Now I know that is only $3.67, However the add on was done after the transaction was closed. Now I am wondering if I need to spend the time and check my in store purchase to my bank statement to be sure they are not changing the total after I leave. (or stop shopping there and go to the blue store) I think they are hoping that most will not do so because a few dollars here is not worth ones time to check one Credit card against the charges When I called their 800 # it took me 4 times (put on hold 3 times for over 15 min) to get it taken care of...Like they want to make it not worth your time to fight it read more

Go to this store and get swarmed by wasps. I hope no one dies. But it will likely result in a massive lawsuit. Obviously, the management doesn't care about their store. And the regional management must not hold their management teams accountable for having a safe shopping experience. I hate buying anything online, but it looks like that is my only option, if my options near me can't even keep their garden center safe. So I have to brag on this store employee , Nicole at the Brenham store. I was shopping for a washer & dryer set online one evening when I realized I would save more $$$ if I had a Home Depot credit card. So since I didn't feel comfortable filling out online & the sale price was only good couple more days I decided to go in next day early before work to apply for the card & then I'd just order online that evening after work. I got there shortly after they opened & went to customer service where I was greeted by Nicole & another sweet lady ( I didn't get her name) . I explained my situation to Nicole & she gladly helped me saying she understood. She went on to say that she could get the card process done along with my purchase taken care of also , all same savings as online. Now I have to say the courteous, professional, sincere , thorough help I received is by far not common these days. I'm a business owner myself & know how IMPORTANT this stuff is to a business! She explained ALL things that I purchased , all new parts that were needed , the extended warranty & EVERYTHING involved. Answered all questions & even ones I wouldn't have even thought to ask. Employees such as these should be recognized because they absolutely make a difference! Especially when customers are purchasing large ticket items like this! read more

buyer beware! if you ever purchase major appliances at home depot, use your discover or visa or another card. because you c-a-n-n-o-t dispute a major appliance on your home depot card (you can't dispute a bad purchase!) (back story) we purchased a washer and dryer at the brenham home depot and were given the runaround and "go talk to the manufacture" home depot will not replace the appliances nor give me a refund! buyer beware! we were moving to a new town and made our purchases at home depot brenham back story we are moving that week and the washer arrived (new out of the box) with the back side crushed the rude driver demands that i "accept the order" and i refused. i spoke to home depot dispatch and in only 2.5 more weeks they promised me a new washer. i kept the dryer and accepted the dryer *** my mistake *** the dryer is also defective the washer finally arrives and then we get that installed, its time to hook up the dryer, i find that the dryer is defective has a bad heating eliment- home depot tells me that we cant return it or get a refund its "older that 48 hours and there is nothing they can do" i am not able to dispute the charge but am sent to ge to work on arrangements to get the new appliance fixed! the whole company home depot is on the decline with people shifting the blame on others and not doing their jobs remember do not make major appliances purchases on your home depot card you will get the "run around" to have to wait for the manufacturer to do something finally, the store manager arron gave me a small "instore rebate" as i called the customer services and told them that i was on my way to put 6 loads of wet laundry on the counter at home depot and tell the other customers what happened - (see photos attached - this is the "service" you will get after the sale of a new broken appliance!) #1- home depot scheduled me for service in illinois (i live in texas) #2 - the confirmation for service date is not in the system #3 there are no more appointments for service available until the past middle of march #4 100% no one cares at home depot and does not do their job again, beware and do not purchase appliances from home depot! we are moving! and i have 6 loads of wet laundry and stupid lazy excuses from the store home depot! too bad that home depot is such a disgrace- the employees/delivery are rude and i got n-o satisfaction on the purchase of 2 new appliances! only "excuses! simply put : i am outraged and think that they are really falling apart! low standards, no customer services, just excuses, and nothing gets done! i will never never never shop there for large appliances again! buyer beware! read more

I like Home Depot's products and have had success with several online orders. With that said, 1 star is more generous than the so-called customer service team at this location deserves. After 28 minutes, we left the store without our chosen product because the employees who were supposed to be assisting us just disappeared - guess they had to finish eating their breakfast. I believe in shopping locally, in brick and mortar facilities, whenever possible but when I receive "service" like today, it's no surprise why corporations are downsizing. This is a small town which means limited buying options, Home Depot will be MY ABSOLUTE LAST choice - so if you are going to need help with a product, try another store. read more

When you're in an area where you're not familiar with and the yelp reviews are low, you go to the big box/chains to hope for consistency. Well let it be known this Home Depot sucks! All I needed was some keys made for my one of my rental properties. First off the place is not close so two drives to Home Depot is unacceptable. Lucky for me when I got to the car I looked at my duplicate keys and realized they were completely the wrong base key. I walked back inside and had to wait again for the keys to be made. Awful customer service from the lumber department. I came in to get 10 boards cut and Billy in the lumber department was extremely rude, muttering under his breath the entire time about how he doesn't have time to make cuts. He angrily told me five separate times that it was 25 cents per cut which I repeatedly acknowledged and confirmed was acceptable. He also refused to assist me in getting the boards off of the shelves, saying "you bring em here and we'll cut em". In the end I was so put off by the blatant hostility that I left and purchased my lumber elsewhere in town. read more

Ok so my husband and I went here when they first opened to get a heater since ours went out in the middle of the night. When he was walking around defrosting a really friendly employee approached him about one of the products he was looking at showing him it was on sale. Around that same time I heard another sales associate talking about this sketchy looking customer. I didn't think she meant me and my husband. As we went to check out she stopped him and called her manager everything checked out she was just being rude. I have been trying for 3 days now - 12 phone calls - 4 hours of my time - to get answers on how to get a refund on a door. All I do is get sent person to person. Half the time, I don't even get asked to hold - just abruptly get sent back to their horrible music HOLD. Worst customer service ever. At this point, I am going to contact my bank and turn them in for fraud. I have been waiting in door for 2 months. It was not built correctly and I do not have possession of the door. They do! This Home Depot has the friendliest, most helpful employees I have ever encountered. The minute I walked into the store someone asked if they could help me find something, and then personally walked me over to the correct location. In Houston I'm lucky to a) find an employee at all or b) if I can find someone, get anything more than "aisle 14" followed by an eye roll. I would give this store 5 stars just for that. But wait, there's more. We were on our way back from the Round Top antique fair with furniture items in the back of the pick-up packed by the seller...very poorly. So we hadn't made it too far before it became obvious we were not going to make it back to Houston with the current configuration. When the guys saw what we were trying to do, they immediately offered their help rearranging the furniture in the truck bed. Seriously, above and beyond the call of duty. And when I tried to tip them, they declined citing store policy. We would not have made it back safely without their help so all I can say is THANK YOU! read more

I am extremely disappointed in this Home Depot's install services. Essentially, Home Depot install services don't exist in Brenham, despite what the store claims. When I lived in Georgia, I always used Home Depot install whenever I could because, while you may find someone to do it cheaper, you wouldn't find someone better. They were professional, started and finished on schedule, and the results were professional. Home Depot there was very careful about what subcontractors they used, and they honored their warranties. If you had any problems arise, Home Depot came out and addressed the problem quickly and without argument. Very few times did I ever have reason for a callback. In Brenham, it's the opposite. It appears the subcontractors have the upper hand. When I decided to have a new water heater installed, the installer called and said, "We don't service your area." What? I'm only 13 miles from the store. When I wanted a water softner, it took forever to get someone out, and that took multiple calls and complaints. When someone finally came, he didn't even represent himself as being from Home Depot, although he claimed he was the installer for that store. The price for a simple softener was quoted at $8,000 and it was a proprietary unit that Home Depot did not sell nor warrant. It's apparent that independent installers sign up for to be installers for Home Depot but don't follow the company's guidelines. They use their own company names, install products not sold by Home Depot, set their own schedules and warranties. If they don't want to service your area, they don't. I tried working with the manager on this issue, but with no results. You might as well pick someone at random out of the phone book. The problem is you can't go to another store because that store can't service this area since Brenham Home Depot is supposed to be doing it. read more

When purchasing any appliance from this location... don't bother purchasing the extended protection plan. This establishment does a poor job honoring it. I have had a broken washing machine since the middle of November.... it is now well into February. We keep getting sent the wrong replacement parts, or damaged ones. We have now received a broken drum for the third time and have to wait for them to send another one... AGAIN! The protection plan department is awful!!!! When I called to inquire if there might be another way of acquiring the parts needed to repair our washing machine, I was informed that there was nothing else that could be done. They were "sorry" and that hopefully the next one sent would be in tact. Guess what???! It wasn't. I will never purchase another appliance from here ever again. My complaint is not necessarily aimed at the Brenham store (though I have been abused by this store in the past) but HD corporate. On June 16, 2020 I placed a order for curbside pickup. The item ordered was in stock per the Brenham HD website. I was almost immediately informed by email that the item would be backordered and would not be available until July 10th. I was not happy but at least I could avoid the charge to my credit card temporarily, or so I thought. Home Depot shipped the item by Estes Express where it is awaiting a full trailer load before leaving for Brenham. Home Depot viewed that as being shipped to me and charged my credit card. HD corporate "customer service" was completely disinterested in my contention that my credit card should not have been charged until the item was made available for my pick up at the Brenham TX store. I asked to speak to a manager who was likewise disinterested in my complaint. My understanding of ICC rules is that the cosignee can be charged upon shipment however in this case the cosignee should be Home Depot Brenham not me. Long story short, I am being required to pay for material which cannot be delivered until July. It's back to Lowes for this guy and if there is any indication of damage in transit to my order I will reject it. read more

When we got it home it was broken & tried to return it to the Brenham location with the receipt & on the Home Depot card. This Store is a clean and a nice store. During the week it's not all that busy. I gave it one star because even though there's only a handful of people in there during the week especially in the morning, the older white men workers in particular the guys over in the wood area will see you coming and turn their back to you so you won't ask them for help. They will walk right by you or see you walking by, and sometimes just look at you like a damn fool. If the store manager is reading this, I hope you will evaluate your workers more closely and their peoples skills. As old as they are, they should know the job requirements. If a person don't like their job, I firmly believe they should go find another one instead of treating the paying customers like trash. This is the best Home Depot I've been to. I lived in Houston until 3 years ago and shopped at Home Depot quite often. If I had ever been to the Brenham Home Depot before we moved out to the country, I might have driven the 50 miles to shop in Brenham. I have never gone into this store and not been able to find someone who is eager to help me. (Unlike in Houston, where they run the other way if you look like you need help) Often I have been asked by 4 people in one visit if I need help finding something. The employees at this store are great! If they can't help you they will find someone who will. At Christmas time they were handing out fresh baked cookies and even had Live Christmas music. I never saw anything like that in Houston. The Brenham Home Depot is the best Home Depot I have ever been to. The big city stores should send their managers out here to learn how a store should be run. read more
