He mixed the paint, then brought me straight to the customer service counter so he could check me out and send me on my way. I wish there were more people in the world like him. Thanks Jesse! This store claims to be a large supporter of Veterans. Well today showed me how they feel about proud veterans. My husband has been retired for a few months and because of the status of the economy my husband elected to look for a job. He found a posting on the internet for Lowe's. He applied and submitted his information. He was pleased to receive an email the next morning for an in person I tervuew at 1pm on July 3rd. He was harassed continually until July 3rd reminding him of the date and time, reminding him of the location. These emails were coming multiple times per day. This morning on July 3rd he was sent another email reminding him about the time and the place of the interview. He arrived at 12 noon and was sent another email, reminding him again about the interview. He was on site, prepared. A few minutes later he received an email that stated "We are canceling the interview. Please apply again." No other explanation. He was then lied to that "He" had decided to cancel. No indication about who "He" was. I told him to go in and demand to speak to the manager. The manager gave him a 6 minute interview and dismissed him, promising he would hear something on July 7th. This experience was full of LIES, humiliating embarrassing and absolutely showing that LOWES is NOT A SUPPORTER OF VETERANS. AVOID LOWES. read more

I have a pro account which means my debit card is on file along with email so I get all receipts sent and kept in my account. Purchased a new Samsung washer and paid for the extended warranty. It developed a small crack that expanded into the entire top section crumbling. Had a choice of contacting 2 repair shops in Houston through the warranty program and they recommended total replacement as the top section was unavailable. Warranty Dept. denied the claim. I love our local Lowe's and still shop there. I just can't see myself buying anymore big ticket items there anymore. We buy water heaters, refrigerators, washers and dryers, basically everything in our house has come from Lowe's and now this happened. Ordered a Gas Dryer which did not come with the Propane conversion kit. Had to be ordered separate. Was given the wrong conversion kit part number. Further the installation was delayed by 2 weeks from the day of the order. Found out during the installation that the Propane conversion kit was wrong. Verification with the store resulted the same wrong part number. Installation team had to research proper number. The part had to be reordered from Amazon. Part arrived 10 days after ordering it. Tried to reschedule installation service and was told by Lowes that it will take another 2 1/2 weeks before installation personnel can complete the service. Had these issues been known in advance, Lowes would have not been considered for purchasing the dryer. In addition, The customer support is totally broken down by endless false customer service connections. I would have given minus 5 Stars for this performance were it available. We have had the absolute worst experience on our appliance purchase from Lowe's in Bastrop, TX. We purchased a washer and dryer during Labor Day weekend and were told it would be a month wait and delivered on October 2-3. We agreed and completed the purchase and began our wait. About a week before the scheduled delivery we called the location just to confirm everything was on track and they confirmed. The next day I received a call from the location stating that there had been a delay and it might be a few extra days wait but they would call and confirm with me, I said okay. Sunday of last week I received an abrupt and extremely rude call from the manager, Roxanne. She began the conversation by asking "If I still even wanted the units I purchased?"....I let her know of course I did, I have paid in full and been waiting for a month for them. She said she just needed to check because no delivery date was added - I asked how this could happen and she did not give any details and want to speak further, she simply said if would be delivered on the next day Monday at noon. Shortly after this call, I received ANOTHER call from the location but someone who said he was the manager of shipment and that my Samsung washer and dryer had been discontinued and couldn't be delivered. He said he could shrink wrap the displays and deliver them but that was all he could do. I was stunned. I tried to get clarity on the situation, letting him know the background but he did not want to speak further and asked if I needed time to think. I said yes I need to think, I haven't seen the displays ever and I paid for new ones and waited a month. I let him know we would be in on Monday and to hold off on doing anything. When my husband got to the location he was told that they sold the displays and refunded our card. No call to us or mention to us. No apologies for the month wait and constant confusion. We were once again both stunned. He asked questions and tried to gain clarity on what had just happened and once again the manager, Roxanne, was the most unhelpful and rude person we have ever worked with. She basically said that they were aware for weeks that they wouldn't be able to fill our order but hadnt gotten around to calling us. She ended it with basically saying we are out of luck and the card is refunded and we do not have any Just so outrageous and nobody seems to care at the location at all. read more

Ordered a shed online, this store fulfilled the order by sending me the wrong one. I have had to call customer service 6 times and the store 6 times. Customer service is ABSOLUTELY useless. They just tell you the store will call you within 24 hours. This store's customer service asked me to bring it in. I live in Kyle Texas, almost an hour away and I PAID for it to be delivered because I have no way of transporting it. They finally arranged for it to be picked up - a date I wasn't able to choose. After being met with resistance, I finally got a PARTIAL refund. It wasn't even the amount of the shed + tax, it was less. They KEPT the delivery fee of $65. Why am I not refunded for a shipping error? Michelle in delivery tried very hard to help me, as did John in appliances. The managers have been useless. At one point I was on hold for 30 minutes waiting for a manager that never answered. Finally I get a call today from someone called Mike that didn't leave a last name or give me a direct number. I called, being asked which Mike. Well, I don't know which, I am assuming a manager. I was TRANSFERRED 5 times, each time being asked who I was holding for. All I want is my $65 delivery fee back. This really should be a zero stars review BUT you have to put at least one star for the world to be forewarned about this place AND it's subcontractors. It has been over a year since this process began. All we wanted was a vent hood purchased and installed. Sounds simple... correct? Not simple by any means. DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES THAT HAVE TO BE PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED FROM THIS LOWES LOCATION!! I decided today after dealing with Lowes for over a year for the purchase and (botched) installation of a vent hood that I will just use this Yelp platform to chronicle the happenings in trying to get our vent hood installed correctly. Apparently, Lowes uses 3rd part installers to install appliances, etc. according to the first installer, Lowes pays them a flat rate, in this case ~$70 to install all appliances across the board. This is in addition to whatever the installers have on their own company schedule. After a lot of shenanigans for about 8 months we were finally able to actually purchase a vent hood. A small part of that wait was that the appliances were on back order due to the pandemic. The sad part is that THROUGH THIS ENTIRE PROCESS LOWES DID A VERY SAD JOB OF KEEPING ME INFORMED IN WHAT WAS GOING ON. So I have had to follow up every week. I am on the phone right now on hold with the installations department for Lowes because I had to follow up after 3 weeks of now communication. Our installation was a two man job. One line installer showed up last year to install the vent hood. He was struggling so I offered to help him and he declined. After he left I realized that something was missing because I could see into my attic! I called and opened a service ticket since the work was under warranty and they were supposed to call and schedule someone to come out. That never happened and when I called to follow up they told me the ticket was closed and I needed to call an installation company and pay out of pocket to get it repaired. Later that evening I received a call from a young lady telling me that they would send someone to look at it to assess what was needed to repair the problem. Someone came out and looked at it and told us it was a two man job and they would get back with Lowes on what needed to be done. I have been following up ever since.We have contacted and talked to Lowes corporate, the store manager, area manager and anyone else who will listen with no resolution. Twice we had someone wait on a tech all day after Lowes set up a service call (without arranging it with us) and no one showed up!! As of 5/28/2022, I am sitting in hold waiting for a customer service person named Shirley. She finally came back on the line and said that CRST HOME SOLUTIONS is the new installer needs to get the documents back to Lowes to let them know what needs to be done and the supplies needed. Horrible experience! They told me they wanted to help with a donation for an auction benefit. I turned in the letter they required, called and left messages for a month, came by the store to connect with them but no response. Tried getting the store manager, but was told there wasn't a manager onsite everytime I called or came by. Everyday they tell me to call the next day...if you didn't want to help why did you say you did in the first place! So frustrating! We've had a deep freezer delivered and now today a washer and dryer. We paid to have it delivered and set up. They use contractors and none of them speak English so you can't communicate with them. On top of that they refused to hook up our washer and dryer and the only other option we have is to do it ourselves or wait until next week to have someone come and finish what was suppose to be done, we've been without a washer and dryer for a month. This is ridiculous and frustrating that we paid for it to all be done and only part of it was. There are too many other places to purchase expensive appliances from. I will not be giving lowes another dime and I highly recommend going elsewhere if you are waiting your stuff delivered and set up. Also, we got a text that they were 30 minutes away and didn't get here until over an hour after they said they would be here. Use someone else. Wish we did read more

We ordered over $1000 worth of material online to pick up, after waiting over an hour in the pick up lane, I went inside to pick up the materials I paid for, online. Aside from the fact there was over 26 sheets of OSB I had to hand load it without any assistance from the many employees standing around. After loading it up, in which I have already spoken to 3 different people in customer service, and paid for online, an employee ran out and accused us of stealing, the order in which we paid for online. She was incredibly rude and even when she spoke to the representative we already spoke to, she refused to apologize or make it right. We were treated like a criminal. Purchased Washer and Dryer in December 2020. Replaced Washer within 30 days. Washer broke again December 19, 2021. Lowes Warranty scheduled repair for January 3, 2022. Called January 14th to see when the repair would be scheduled. Said I had to give them two additional weeks to locate parts. I had to call to get the two weeks started. The repairman, before he left our house, called GE, his boss, and Lowes Warranty to let them know the two parts he needed. So now the repair is scheduled for February 2nd. I will never buy anything over $50 again at Lowes. DO NOT buy the warranty from Lowes. I am currently on hold trying to find out how long this can drag out if they don't have the parts by the end of the month. read more

Had a wonderful experience at this location yesterday. We had to have some repair work done and the contractor had cut a piece of sheetrock out about the size of a pack of cigarettes. The room had the original paint from when the house was built in 2004 and I didn't have any extra paint left. I took the piece of sheetrock to the Lowe's here in Bastrop and went to the paint department and a very nice young man named Timothy assisted me. He asked what he could do for me and I explained my situation and handed him the piece of sheetrock and asked if he could match it. He said it should be no problem and took the piece of sheetrock and proceeded to put it in a machine to match the color. He said it would be a few minutes so I went and did some other shopping and returned to find my paint and sheetrock waiting for me. He greeted me with a smile and told me if I had any problems to come back to see him about it. I could't wait to check the match so when I got home I did a test mark on the wall..Matched perfectly. I was very happy to find such a helpful, conscientious associate working in the paint department who was both friendly and knew how to match my paint. read more

Worst Lowe's I've ever been to! I went to get a paint match for my beige walls. It took them 30 minutes to find someone who new how to do the job. Then after they mixed the paint, I went home with a jar of pink paint! I had to go back up to the store and kindly ask them to redo the mix. The manager blamed it on an "easy mistake". I went home again to touch up my walls and the new paint mixture was grey! I will not be returning to this store. read more

We had a structure burn down in the Labor Day fires and were having a problem with looters (just when you think there's nothing left to take..). We needed "No Trespassing" signs for our property. Walking into the store, it seemed very well organized and clean (even for a big-box hardware store). We asked one of the employees where we could find these signs and he knew the exact location, escorting us to the place. Now, he could've just left us at that point, but he actually stayed with us and helped us pick out signs most relevant to our needs. He also gave us some good information about places to tack them. So now we have some shiny signs all around our property telling people to stay away. Now, whether or not they'll listen, that's a different story. But I do appreciate the service we got at this store. We will probably come back when we need any equipment when we're in the area. read more

Prior to visiting home improvement stores I itemize my needs via individual printed copies of each item to detail the item location,price and inventory of my store choice. Today I chose Lowes Home Improvement store 2840 located in Bastrop,Tx. I was enticed away from my usual Home Depot by two specific products which Home Depot doesn't carry. It would appear even though Lowes Home Center store #2840 in Bastrop,Texas,(even though listing 26 5 pound bags of Amdro Fire Strike in stock less than two hours prior to opening for the day),didn't either. When I inquired,the young gal stated that the product is usually here,but she and others couldn't locate the inventory either. Come to find out,the store hadn't stocked that item in years,yet inventory stated they did,I am guessing this store doesn't have to do end of year inventory as long as they keep the people on their payroll that have a great memory. So, I had to settle for the same product I would have normally purchased at the Home Depot less than a mile away, and for a dollar more per 5 pound bag. The other item was a Dewalt 7 inch wool buffing pad and backing pad,inventory reads 2 in stock . Funny,this sku had the same sku as a polishing bonnet.(,the guy that remembered the other item,wasn't there to tell them the sku was wrong). Even more so,the bonnet looked nothing like the photo in the printout I showed them but they were adamant I was wrong. Being retired from the Aviation and Aerospace industry it quickly became apparent where I made my mistake,I didn't go to Home Depot. I should have known from my previous visit to this Lowes Home Center in Bastrop,Texas after my new truck was vandalized in a handicap space in their lot which their manager couldn't be bothered to even look at the video recording,shopping at this store is bad news all around. I think the service u get here is dependent on your skin color. I recently purchased a cabinet from here and was treated incredibly rude by the woman in said Dept. I needed some help retrieving a cabinet from the top shelf. Prior to assisting me she was w another customer with whom she treated w the utmost respect. One look at me and she was annoyed. She made us wait longer then needed. When my husband tried to explain which cabinet we wanted she immediately told him he needed to get back then proceeded to grab the one she wanted to get. She had to use some sort of lift to get the cabinet. She complained the whole time and literally cursed my cabinet. She said "of course! It has to be the one w a DAMN drawer!" I presume those are heavier. Other employees were watching her. One tried to tell her to be careful and she snapped at him too. The whole experience was very uncomfortable. I hope they get rid of her. Cuz not all employees are like that. The Hispanic female that was also there was much nicer. Can't wait for yelp to come out w their racist alert buttons. read more
