We got great vibes from him then and knew we would want them to do the job when we had the funds. Very chill, not at all pushy. We called him back up a few months ago and he came back out to double check measurements and while understandably prices had rose somewhat, we felt he did everything he could to try and stay as close as possible to the original quote total. Seth and his crew came out and did the job over 2 days. They were on time, pleasant, clean, and did great work. Seth pointed out a flaw in a couple of the window panes and said he was submitting a claim to get replacement parts so they would be perfect (and honestly, we would have never even noticed the issue). Excellent attention to detail, couldn't recommend them more!

I've been in the market for new windows to replace the windows my house was built with (very thin…read morelate 80s single panes) and got three different quotes before I contacted Tracer Window. When Chris from Tracer came over I knew immediately he wasn't a typical sales guy telling me what I wanted to hear. I can smell b/s from a mile away and it does nothing but drive me to find someone else. Chris was objective and honest and gave me a good list of pros and cons and enough information to decided not to install a $10,000 three pane sliding glass door that I thought I was set on. That alone sold me that I could trust Tracer to do the job. The quote came out very fair and Chris gave me the confidence that they would be installed professionally and meticulously. I just had the windows installed and completed this week and couldn't be happier with the job. The team of window installers blew us away with their customer service and professionalism. They respected our property by taking great care to protect anything that might have got damaged during install, they ensured all their work space was spotless upon leaving and they didn't try to rush through the job to get it done it one day. On top of that they adjusted my patio door to swing more freely without me asking them and did it free of charge. Their work was meticulous, every joint and corner of the window trim inside and out was perfectly sealed and trimmed and they cleaned the windows leaving them spotless. Through the finish walkthrough they pointed out a very discrete scratch on a window pane that I wouldn't have ever seen and they insisted to take care of it through the Milgard warranty. Just another huge plus. To say the least I'm very thankful I hired Tracer Window and Door to take care of this big project. I would recommend them to anyone looking to replace their windows. I believe Tracer is a team of honest, hard working people that want to exceed 100% customer satisfaction.

Our windows were installed this week and we LOVE them! We had 2 other companies give us estimates…read more 1 was the BIG window co that would have cost us almost double the cost. The 2nd one had some questionable processes. From the moment I called Guy (owner) I knew I found the right place. Guy was able to come over, within an hour, to show me his windows and give us costing. Guy has been in business a long time so he is very knowledgeable. Guy also also made me feel like my million questions were all important. When buying windows there can be lots of companies involved in the prices: Salesperson, installation measurements, installers and most import warrant. I love the fact that the Company that does the measurements (Alside) is also the company that makes the windows installs the windows and carries the warranty. Myself being a Retired Project Mgr from Amex I know how the pointing the finger at the wither guy when an issue surfaces all too well. Guy gave us an estimate when the windows would be made and he was spot on. Pretty impressive in this new world we live in where any excuse is made for delays. Vince (Alside Rep) was on time for our measurement appt. He was very helpful with additional questions I had. Vince also gave me a timeline for when our windows would be ready and he was spot on. Vince was even part of the installation team. That gave me even more confidence. Vince, James & Tony were a great team: on time, professional, fun and did any amazing job installing our windows and cleaning up. Thank you everyone. Not only do our new windows look amazing we no longer have to wear sunscreen when going into our kitchen . While our previous windows were dbl pane they basically only kept birds out of our home . I can now open my window treatment without getting a blast of heat in my face. Additionally no more of those horrible sunshades that made me feel like a vampire in my own home cause it was so dark .

I'm writing to share my very disappointing experience with GK Windows & Doors and Alside Windows…read more I purchased 37 windows and one sliding door from GK Windows & Doors on January 31, 2024, for over $37,000. My salesperson was Guy Bartlett, and the project manager at Alside, Don Dodson, was responsible for assigning the installer. Unfortunately, the installation was done so poorly that nearly all the caulking has separated, and I now have water leaking inside multiple windows. The workmanship is clearly substandard, and it's extremely frustrating given the amount I invested in this project. When I reached out for warranty assistance, both GK Windows & Doors and Alside refused to take responsibility. Alside claimed that the issues were "not warranty-related," even though the problems stem from the installation arranged through their own project manager. I've been left without any accountability or resolution, despite having paid for what I was promised would be a high-quality, professionally installed product. This experience has been deeply disappointing -- poor installation, lack of follow-up, and zero ownership from both companies. I expected far better from established names like GK Windows & Doors and Alside. If you're considering working with them, please be aware of the lack of warranty support and customer service once they have your payment. I still hope both companies will step up, take ownership of their work, and make this right. -- Rupa C (Homeowner / Customer of GK Windows & Doors & Alside)

Initially we were thrilled with our flooring. A little overpriced and I find manufactured discounts…read moreinsulting as a consumer, but that aside we landed a good crew (they have no installers, they hire out) and the floors looked amazing! Fast forward 2 years and we discovered damage to one floorboard - the top layer was splintering and lifting. We bought their warranty, in this case, Bankers Warranty Group/Centricity/Centricity Services of St. Petersburg, FL. So when I found the damage I called the number on the brochure and filed a claim. I was told two weeks later via a voicemail that my claim was denied. They said they do not cover water damage. I was very clear that this area is the most traversed and stood upon area of our home as it is in front of the sink. From this they concocted water damage. I tried to contact them but all correspondence is "no reply" and no one would return my calls. Eventually I was able to file another claim online. NO response at all! After another week or so I called Empire Today. They were very nice. They're always very nice. They even filed a third claim supposedly, which Centricity rubberstamped "denied" again. I worked in the insurance industry for a while..this is a shady practice, designed to encourage claimants to get frustrated and just go away. So I said to the CSR, "well if the damage is not due to an accident, or water damage, it must be a defect so I expect Empire to repair it." It has been so long now that a second plank is beginning to splinter. She put me on hold to speak with her GM. When she came back she said she had great news - her GM was willing to wave the cost of supplies but I would have to pay labor costs of $150. Surely they know I have planks here!!! ONE FIFTY to repair a defective product they installed just two years ago?!! I guess customer satisfaction is not really part of their mission statement afterall. The flooring is okay but dulls easily and no one at Empire seems to know how to care for it. I asked repeatedly during and after installation to both the installers and the office. Eventually I found answers on the internet. The joints where the baseboards meet are sloppy and some are beginning to separate. We bought from a franchise and paid MUCH more than had we gone with a local, smaller installer because we thought we would have peace of mind. HAHAHA! Empire Today is a fraud. Product is mediocre. Product is way overpriced! But most importantly, once it is installed, they DO NOT SUPPORT OR ASSIST THEIR CUSTOMERS. Support small business in your area. Hire a local contractor or handyman!
