Additionally but as importantly, their sales personnel and store managers are clearly highly trained and extremely helpful in assisting customers in choosing the best furniture to completely satisfy the customer's needs...and wants. Our most recent purchase, as were our earlier ones, has resulted in our total satisfaction. Our salesperson, Karen Ust-Grothmann, was wonderfully friendly and fully proficient in explaining all the features of various pieces we were considering, and was most helpful in sorting through the available choices of upholstery. Unfortunately, my experience did not match that reputation. The projects themselves had issues, but the bigger problem was the communication, lack of follow-through, and lack of accountability when those issues came up. To be clear, I understand that mistakes happen. Materials can be delayed. Defects can occur. Schedules can change. That is part of any home improvement project. What matters is how a company communicates, takes ownership, and helps the customer through those issues. That is where The Floor Store fell short in my experience. My carpet project started with a material shortage that left part of the installation unfinished while more carpet had to be ordered. That shortage also appears to have contributed to seams being placed in areas where they may have been avoidable if enough material had been ordered correctly from the beginning. The countertop project then brought a separate set of problems when a defect was identified and a replacement became necessary. Again, issues happen. But throughout both projects, I repeatedly had to chase down updates, ask for status information, and coordinate details that I believe should have been proactively handled by the company. The most frustrating part was the breakdown in communication between scheduling, installers, contractors, and management. Follow-ups that were promised did not happen. Schedules changed without proper notice. At several points, I felt like I was doing the work of the project coordinator just to keep things moving. What concerns me most is what happened after the projects were completed. At management's request, I took the time to provide a detailed written summary of my experience and concerns. I sent that on July 25. Weeks went by with no acknowledgment or response. I followed up again on August 11 and still received no meaningful communication. I also attempted to escalate the issue again before posting this review. That lack of response reinforced the exact concerns I had already raised about communication, follow-through, and accountability. I spent more than $20,000 with this company and expected a much higher level of customer service and project management. While the final products may be acceptable, the process to get there was unnecessarily frustrating and disappointing. At this point, I am posting this review because all private attempts to resolve or even discuss the matter have gone unanswered. I was not looking for excuses or an argument. I was looking for acknowledgment, accountability, and an honest conversation about what went wrong. Ignoring a customer after more than $20,000 in business is not acceptable. If ownership or senior management genuinely cares about their customers, their reviews, and the reputation of this business, I would encourage them to contact me immediately. I would still prefer to resolve this directly and fairly, but that requires someone from The Floor Store to actually respond. Future customers should know that when things go wrong, communication and follow-through matter. In my case, that is where The Floor Store failed. I hope management chooses to take this seriously, because this experience has completely changed the way I view a company I originally trusted.

It helped me decide to upgrade to Invisible open/close (no stick in center) and have the bottom half operate independently of top half - you cannot tell when they are Closed, so seamless. I contacted the shade company, Norman Shades, and after several attempts to reach Kevin, they sent out their fixer. One of the shutter panels on my patio door needed a small adjustment as it had dropped about an inch, and I simply wanted them leveled. Meanwhile, Kevin finally responded to my call, came to take a look, and made some notes about the issue. We scheduled a time for him to return and adjust the panel. Unfortunately, he called to reschedule and then never showed up. To this day, I haven't heard from him. I won't be giving any referrals to this company or Norman Shades.

Keep in mind, the quote I was waiting for, was for carpet that I have purchased from them previously. The sample they provided me to take home was disgusting and dirty, it's impossible to say the carpet was "new" to their inventory when their sample looked to be over 10 years old. Stephanie was very rude. She didn't seem to want to help me at all when I was asking questions. The older gentleman Mesa Sales sent to my house to do measurements was amazing! I wish I could say that about the people who were working inside the store.
