The employees were great and very knowledgeable on their products. They were patient and answered every question I had. Everything was organized and clean and I liked that they allowed me to open some toys up to look at them. These are the only reasons for a higher rating. I did not like this one lady who I assumed was the manager. Snarky. And got frustrated when I changed my mind about possibly purchasing a product BEFORE I even paid for it. This is because they have to write the product down on a receipt paper and she clearly grew impatient when she had to start over. (It was only 2 products). Not my problem. I asked to see a pair a handcuffs out of the box, an employee said "no problem", but the manager butted in, took the box, and said to her, "here, I'll do this and you make the phone call." She didn't open the box. That's when she started writing down the product on the receipt. Um. Did you just want me out of there already? Furthermore, I would say these items are pretty pricey. Hi usually I have a good experience but today as soon as greeted I had the customer service rep right behind me as I had already stated I was okay. It was dead in the store and i'm very much still visible without having to be hovered by as soon as I walk in. Made it an unstoppable experience. Merch- good variety of items. Maybe is the weekend crew, what a disappointment of a store that should be fun. Customer service- The worst- could not shop in peace. I was greeted but after that the shopping experience was comfortable. This guy - who looked that he needed some s*x ed himself- kept interrupting my experience as if I had just come out of a convent and had no idea about the purpose of s*x toys etc. Very annoying experience. Whenever I would walk to a display to look at it this guy would just follow me and start making suggestions and man explaining as if. I said thank you I'm just looking several times, he would not take the hint. Could it look at anything without him hovering. HATED HATED the experience at this location. I recently visited this store & it was not a pleasurable experience. Clearly, the staff are working on commission, & you can smell the desperation when you walk thru the door. I was looking for a particular item & the sales person started showing stuff that was well over $100. I told her I didn't want to spend that much, she didn't listen, & kept bringing me expensive items. I felt like it was more about her commission, than helping me find what I wanted. Secondly, the staff were trying to test the batteries on 2 items I was interested in. Alter about 6 tries, they finally found batteries that worked. I made my purchase & bought batteries on my way home. However, it did not work later that night. Furthermore, when I called the store, they told me all sales were final. Ridiculous!!!! Nice selection of products, poor customer service that ruined an experience. My girlfriend and I were browsing through the shop and seeing the selection of merchandise without wanting to broadcast to the shop what we wanted, which I feel is perfectly valid in a sex shop, till one of the employees with dyed blue hair and glasses asked us if we needed help and added that we looked lost with an attitude. Extremely disappointed in this location. Came here looking to throw something together for Halloween. Some of the staff, CHRISTOPHER, who is the manager, and the woman with the blue hair were extremely rude and not helpful at all. Would not recommend this location to anyone. I left empty handed because of how uncomfortable I felt. When asking to try on another item I was told I couldn't (which was fine) the unfortunate part was right after I saw and heard both the manager and employee complaining about how I wanted to try on more clothes. The item in question was already opened and clearly tried on previously and two different employees asked if I needed to try it on and both occasions Christopher yelled from across the store "I SAID NO". My husband and I have been wanting to visit Lovers lane for quite some time now. We heard on the radio they were going to have a huge 2 day sale, everything 50% off. We visited the Norridge location today and were very satisfied with the products and customer service from Gaby. As I looked through their lingerie selection, Gaby assisted me with a fitting room. She laid out all of the try-ins! It was my first time shopping at lovers lane so I was taken back at how modest all the employees were. She helped my husband in selecting couple toys and was very informative on how to use them and the warranties. We definitely will be returning. read more

As far as toys go they offer a lot of 'nilla type toys with some nicey nice BDSM things (like nylon or fuzzy cuffs). I would like them more if they expanded a little more into the BDSM side of things but that is the only downside to the whole Lover's Lane chain. What I really like about this place? The have a large selection of plus size naughty wear and adult costumes. I have never had a hard time finding something sexy that fits my BBW frame. The staff is also friendly without being too friendly. They are also non creepy, they don't ask you every three minutes what your looking for and when you do ask for help they take you to just what you need. They actually carded me walking in which was shocking, I guess you have to be 18 or older to come into the store (but I didn't think I looked THAT young for the love of God!) I came in looking specifically for a corset which I found for fifty dollars. It was really pretty and lasted me years of use. If you're looking for that kind of clothing this is the spot to do it. If you want sexy underwear I'd recommend Victoria's Secret first...BUT they do have some cute stuff here. I just wouldn't ever buy it because I find the store to be slightly overpriced. They have a fitting room and sell a variety of costumes and insane shoes (which if you check zappos you can get for cheaper, yes, even the Pleaser brand!) but trying those shoes on first in the store isn't ever a bad idea! It was an ok experience. I went in to buy something small personal and I didn't want to spend much. As soon as I walked in the worker greeted me. That was all fine she began to help me but I didn't really want the help and said ok thank you quite a few times. She kept pushing expensive things on me. It was annoying, then eventually she actually lied to me about the price of something to get me to buy it. I brought a few things so I didn't think about it until I was at my house and looked at my receipt. I'm never going here again. I enjoy browsing on my own and people that don't push products my way. When I was very clear about my budget. She just followed me around the store constantly. Can I get some space. I was very annoyed.... might I add my vibrator is reeeeaaaalllyy loud. Ugh read more

I like the variety here, and the prices are reasonable for the most part. The store is clean and well organized, and has a decent parking area. However, yesterday I was not impressed with my experience. I went in looking for a bachlorette gift. The salesgirl that seemed "assigned to me" asked me multiple times if I was "doing ok?" She gave a demo on a popular bachlorette gift item ($70, on sale) and We Vibe ($99) which seems quite costly for a novelty bachlorette gift!! When I was checking out she asked again if I wanted the We Vibe...obviously not. The other complaint was that the AC was broken and it was very warm in the store and they didn't seem to be very accommodating, i.e. fans. Finally, there was a group of about 6 people being trained, and they went around the store pretending to shop and answer questions, etc. It made me, being a REAL customer, feel very awkward - like I was intruding or something. Couldn't this training be done before or after hours?? Seems more appropriate. I probably would have spent more if it weren't for all of these factors! read more

They had a good selection of shoes here and some cute, cheap, wear-one-time-and-throw-away costumes, and I purchased more than one of both types of items. This didn't seem like the cleanest store to me, good for shoes/costumes but I would never ever buy real underwear here. They did have some very nice "new & limited edition" massage oils and stuff which the kind of annoying saleslady forced me to try, but I guess it worked cause I ended up buying! In the end not bad for random trashy purchases, but this is not a high end store and I wouldn't expect anything here to last you forever. 2 stars for the shoe selection and 1 for the japanese massage oils that smelled beautiful. read more

I never write bad reviews but the cashier was rude, I signed up for their program for offers and notifications on their sales/promotions & she tells me the "spelling of my last name is odd" She does mention that the thigh stockings I purchased were non-refundable, yeah whatever.
