I'd talked to my previous stylist about my concerns but she told me it had to be cut that way because of how the hair falls. What I particularly liked about Wendy: I asked her what she thought before telling her my concerns and she immediately identified the issue that I was concerned about and brought up how she could lighten it up and redirect that weight. Additionally, she cuts it dry so she can get a feel for how your hair moves and wants to lay. I also had her foil my hair in the initial visit. She was able to capture the tone of my natural color so the foil sort of blends with my grey almost eliminating that line of demarcation you get as a foil grows out. This means I should be able to go longer between foils or do more partial foils as long as I don't go too light. I've been back once after 2.5 months just for a cut because I didn't need another foil. I was kind of hoping to save money over my previous place and this was about the same or a little more. But it was worth it as I really appreciate Wendy's approach and even more importantly, results! I've been back once for a cut and already booked my next foil.

She is now across the way near the State Farm building, really close to Chick Fil A, and right by the Covington Dental Care. Her studio is on the upper level so what's nice is you have the option of stairs or elevator. There are several offices inside that are beauty related as well. It's clean, quiet, and quaint. It shows I've checked in 6 times. I've actually been to Amanda's more. I just forget to check in. Her prices are up to par with everyone in the industry, and as always gives me great service. Since I get both my under arms and Brazilian she offers me a gown, as well as the table warmer. Really nice to have on cold Seattle days. The last year my doctor told me to stop getting Brazilians due to my hormones, and aging. I tried it for a year. Amanda would just trim my hair, and not sugar. I was thankful for the cleanup because I was miserable being hairy. After a year I decided enough is enough so today I had Amanda take it all off. It was so relaxing laying on the warm table as she sugared the hair off. Yes it hurts, but only for a split second. After she finished she moisturizes your skin. It's truly an experience to have.

This included a charming warm foot soak at the beginning, the multi-step facial, and a gentle arm and neck massage. Sherry uses Eminence Organics products which all smelled delicious and natural without being too herb-y, and soothed my skin well. I felt like all the gunk was cleared out and I left refreshed and glowy. The Door Organics is a newer business, but Sherry has been working in the spa industry for 20 years. She was very lovely and welcoming, and walked me through each step as a newbie. She made sure to listen to any adjustments that needed to be made, but I was very comfortable the whole time. I came…read morein with a specific cut in mind, one that I've had multiple times and was my current cut that needed reshaping and trimming. I provided photos of myself to my stylist before hand stating where I wanted my length to end in its curl form at shoulder length; which was the exact picture I provided. What should have been a trim of 2-3 inches became 7 inches! I now have a pixie cut in the back and longish layers on the sides. Enough to put in a "ponytail". I don't have my ringlets anymore. There isn't enough hair to fully form! I am so disappointed and embarrassed by this cut, especially during the holidays. I've been wearing a baseball cap every day and avoiding pictures like the plague. The salon and everyone there is nice, but this isn't the place for us curly girls. Look elsewhere.
