I have been a client of Lovely Lash for a little less than a year now and they have been consistently amazing. I recently cheated with a different lash salons since I was desperate after COVID and as soon as I left the other salons, I knew I had made a huge mistake. First off setting an appointment up was very hard. It took me 2 weeks to finally get an appointment. I didn't have a hard time trying to find it. It's metered parking so make sure you bring quarters. I went here with the groupon I purchased. I choose out what kind of length and curl I wanted (I had no idea what I was looking at from the choices they all looked the same) I picked the sexy J curl with the 12 length. This office small was extremely hot l. No fans no AC. I was uncomfortably hot and sweating during this 1 hour and 30 minutes. I was so hot that I even got a headache laying there. After I laid sweating and uncomfortable for this beauty procedure my lashes basically look the exact same as if I put a little mascara on. In my opinion it's not worth the groupon or maybe I should have been educated more on which lash to choose and to maybe wear shorts and a tank top. I was browsing on Groupon for some local eyelash extensions and this places popped up. I called the morning of and they were able to squeeze me in (on a Saturday!) because someone else cancelled. They are located on the second floor of the building but they have signs which direct you. This was my second time getting eyelash extensions and boy this time around what a difference! It's a small studio but I didn't feel cramped. The beds are comfortable. Before you go in they show you the different lashes and prices and help you to pick out the shape that you like. They offer faux mink, silk, and real mink lashes (those are the most expensive). They also show you what the length may look like before they start which was really nice because the last time I had them done they didn't and they were way too long! They have new member specials which are the same price as Groupon. They also have a loyalty card where if you have 5 visits you get 20% off. I was done in about an hour, no issues with my eyes burning or feeling heavy! When I'm in town I'd definitely come back to visit. read more

Just wanted lash extensions to look sexy for my man. Not only is my eye still bright red but after seeing a doctor I was told that the actual eyeball was scratched & highly irritated and that I wouldn't be allowed to wear contacts for 2 weeks. Nothing says sexy like a swollen red eye and glasses. I saw this place on groupon & after seeing mostly good reviews and looking in to it I decided to give it a try. The website said all Technicians were lash certified and had at least five years of prior experience. LOOOOOL. That must be a joke.The girl that did my lashes was nice enough. However The tape that she put under my eyes was not placed correctly. I asked if we could reposition it multiple times as I felt it was in my actual eyeball. The whole entire hour and a half my eyes were hurting. I thought it might be normal but now know LASH EXTENSIONS SHOULD BE PAINLESS! When she was done i was told to open my eyes, but couldnt due to the fact that she had actually glued one of my eyes closed. When we finally fixed that and got them open, I was ready to run the hell out of there. As the cherry on top the lady at the front desk really blew my mind by suggesting that I tip the woman who did my lashes $23 "as an appropriate amount". I'm assuming they moved to "lovely lash" located in great neck under new ownership?I called and left a voicemail and received a text stating they were booked for the week. So let's start with the pros: -Staff really takes their time to places the lashes perfectly (1.5 hours) -They customize the lashes to what you want -the lashes themselves are VERY natural looking -The lashes lasted over a month or me and personally I think they look great even after a few have fallen out Cons: -The parking sucks (no parking lot, street/ meter parking) -The staff seems to hate Groupon customers they always have an attitude once they hear the word Groupon (if you don't like it why offer the service in the first place???) -the customer service is way below average, some of the employee are extremely rude and have attitudes. -appointments are difficult to schedule so try to book a a couple weeks in advance So here's a negative experience I had: I bought a Groupon and didn't see the fine print saying that it was for new customers only (my mistake of course) I called and tried to make the appointment and mentioned that I had been there previously...the guy rudely said I wasn't a new customer and the Groupon is for new customers only (okay I can accept that that's fine) then I asked is there anything I can do assuming that he would help me come to a solution whether it was a refund or something, he literally said "I don't know you can just give it to someone else" instead of saying maybe you can contact Groupon or we can put the money toward another service or something, anything!!! I worked numerous years in retail, I've taken sales courses and I partly own my family business and THE NUMBER ONE rule is that the customers comes first and building a good relationship with customer/clients will ensure repeat business. I'm 95% sure that if the service they offered wasn't so good and the lashes didn't last so long this place would and should go out of business. To make a long story short, I contacted Groupon and they allowed me to trade in the Groupon for Groupon bucks which I decided to use a new lash extension place, Lumix, I haven't tried it as yet but hopefully it will be my new lash place & hopefully the staff has a better attitude towards paying customers!!! read more

One of my favorite lash places! Staff is super friendly and accommodating, it's always a really relaxing experience. They really take their time and make sure that you're getting the lash style that you want. Lashes are always full and nice and the extensions last me about 3.5-4 weeks before I need a fill, I almost always reschedule my 2 week appointment because I never need it. The lash techs are great as well, I've had a few different women do mine each time and my lashes have always turned out to be exactly what I wanted. read more

Just got back from getting my lashes done and had such a great experience! Prior to today I have only gotten my lashes done in Korea because I know what I'm getting myself into and it's also ridiculously cheap so why not pamper yourself! I originally booked an appointment for this past Saturday but had to cancel and reschedule because I had sudden plans arise I couldn't get out of and the girl who answered the phone was super accommodating and nice. I rescheduled for today and having it been a while since I got my lashes done I was a little nervous. I probably asked way too many questions but my technician was really great. She explained everything and helped suggest a style and length that would look natural but a little more than just a swipe of mascara. I asked a lot of questions because I don't have the eye crease and lashes look totally different so I wanted to make sure the end result would be good. I ended up choosing the C curl 11mm silk lashes in the gorgeous shape and I absolutely love them! I've gotten so many compliments already and it literally has been an hour since I left the salon. I will definitely be going back! Oh, it only took an hour to get my lashes done which is much better than the hour half to two hours I would have to block out when I went to places in Korea. Ehhh...from the moment I booked my appointment I knew I'd get them done that one time and never again. I called to schedule and from start, the girl that answered seemed to have an attitude when I mentioned the Groupon. I don't get it. If they don't like Groupon customers then why offer it? She told me they only had 2 openings available for the following week, so I chose one. Let's keep in mind that there was no one there when I arrived. I thought they'd be super busy. They asked me if I had already purchased the Groupon because obviously they would much rather have me pay them directly. I said yes and she seemed annoyed. I brought a pair of lashes that I normally use to show the technician what style I wanted. She immediately started suggesting the cat eye and I said no I wanted a whispy look. She said she couldn't do it exactly like the lashes that I normally use because she can't mix the lengths. My guess is because I had the Groupon they didn't want to go out of their way. And of course she tries to get me to change from mink to silk lashes so that I can pay more. It wasn't my first time getting individuals so I was fine with mink. I lay on the bed and she begins doing her thing. I received a phone call and already had the headphones in my ears. I answered my call which didn't require me to open my eyes or anything like that, yet she tells me I can't be on the phone because it might disturb other customers. WHAT CUSTOMERS? I WAS THE ONLY ONE THERE! I just hung up my call and waited til it was over. I opened my eyes and look around. I was still the only one there. Whatever! I proceed to the front and they hand me an envelope with suggested tip amounts. Obviously they are INSANE is they think I would tip her 20 something dollars. First off she couldn't even do the style I wanted and my results were pretty basic. 2nd of all, I paid I think $50 for the Groupon, so they OBVIOUSLY don't know how to do math of what 18% is. I actually gave her a descent tip because I do like tipping, but it truly wasn't even deserved. And let me not forget to add in that 3 lashes came off on my way home and the glue has become visible which has never happened to me before. read more

I didn't like the way the lady at the front desk treated me. I arrived early and she told me to wait outside in the hallway. The she came back with hand sanitizer which she had me use and told me to use a mask she gave me though I already had one on. I she made me feel as if I was contaminated. I indicated that I was completely vaccinated but that didn't matter. In addition, I had a Groupon in my phone and she wanted to see identification. I have used Groupons in the past and have never been asked to showID. I have been to other lash establishments in the area like Bling and SOHO. I have never been treated this way. I'm used to exemplary customer service. The only google thing I can say is that the technician was great! I'm grateful I have so many options. I got the synthetic mink eyelashes, in 13 with the natural curl. They were long and beautiful-very natural looking. Next time I will go a little more dramatic. This is by far the worst eyelash extensions I've ever received. It hurts me that I paid to be tortured for over an hour. I only came here because I'm leaving for a last minute trip and my normal eyelash place was booked solid for the week. Based on yelp reviews, this place was highly recommended so I figured I'd give them a try and they had availability. (now I realize why they have no clients- insert eye roll here) The room was freezing as if a window was opened and today was a 30 degree day. I was not offered a blanket and didn't even know they had blankets until a WHITE woman walked in and was offered one the second she sat down. I was repeatedly pinched, scraped and coughed on by the girl attending to me. My lashes aren't evenly done, the right eye is much fuller than the left and it's very noticeable. I'm so pissed off. It was the worst hour and a half ever. Then when it was time to pay, they demanded a $20-$22 tip! What a joke, I will never be back here or recommend them to anyone. I've been to lovely lash two times. I couldn't believe HOW LONG these lashes stayed on. I am always super careful when I have my lashes done, and I do things like wear goggles in the shower and usually don't even get them done in the summer because I swim so much it seems like a waste. But these lashes stayed on for a solid eight weeks. It was amazing. I didn't even shed a single lash until maybe the third week it seemed. Everyone's nice there, but they do get booked up and have a tight schedule, so don't expect last-minute appointments or understanding if you cancel. read more

First of all I had a play phone tag for like four days to even get the appointment because it goes to an answering machine like who has time for that. From the moment I walked in this place was horrible. They don't even greet you when you come in. I don't know to speak English or watt but they just look at you. I went to the table and the lady puts a DOT of hand sanitizer on her hands, how is that sanitary they should be scrubbing their hands with soap they're touching your eyes with no gloves. The lady did the exact opposite of what I asked for After sitting there for an hour. My eyelashes literally looked better before. They are not even on both eyes. They wouldn't even show me what it looked like until I was at the door! I wish I could just take them out they look terrible. They were so rude they don't ask if you're OK or if you need something to drink. For the past 2 years, Lovely Lash has been my go to lash salon on Long Island. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, I've been really hesitant to get my lashes done because the process is really up close and personal. When I called the salon to learn more about their COVID-19 safety protocols, I was so thrilled to hear all the precautions they are doing to protect clients!! They give out super high quality n-95 masks to clients to wear during their session, check your temperature, all of the technicians are wearing PPE, and they promote social distancing. Not only did I feel safe and comfortable, but the quality of my lash set was A+++. They last longer than the sets I've received at other salons. So happy to be reunited with Lovely Lash during the pandemic, I highly recommend them! read more

So i found this place through a groupon . I looked at other reviews and decided to give it a try. The place was very clean and the staff very nice and accommodating. I had never gotten eyelash extensions before so i was a little scared . They reassured me there was nothing to be scared of just relax and close your eyes!The job took about an hour and half. You lay on a massage table as you get it done. I actually fell asleep! Thats how relaxing it is! The lashes came out BEAUTIFUL! So real and long-lasting! My makeup looks great with them. Went to this place about a month ago because Groupon had a great deal for "mink" eyelashes (apparently the options for eyelashes are silk, mink and "real mink"). Again, because of the good deal, I gave this place a try. The Groupon was for 100+ pieces per eye for $52 (at the time). Upon arrival, I was greeted and taken care in a timely manner. The end result came out very nice and I complimented the technician (Hari). I paid her the $52 + tip and left. Within a day, almost half of my eyelashes came out! I've gotten my eyelashes done before and they have never fallen out so quickly. So, three days later, I went back to fix my eyelashes. I had to pay an extra $20 to add 30 more pieces (really?!). Again, I paid and left. Within days AGAIN they fell out. I told by the manager (I'm assuming) that eyelashes "just fall out" in her words. I left dissatisfied. I will stick to my usual place and spend money there where my eyelashes don't fall out immediately. read more

She then, gave me attitude the whole time as if it was my fault. While making an appointment the week before I asked if Emily could do my lashes as I have done it with her before. She said Emily was on vacation. I come to get my lashes done - after my service I get up to see that Emily is there, not on vacation, and still taking clients. I am actually pretty disappointed with my experience. I went to lovely lash one week ago to get a set done for vacation. I have gotten my lashes done before at pink lash in Manhattan and was expecting a similar great job at lovely lash. Ever since I have gotten my extensions, my eyes have felt irritated with more discharge than usual and the lashes are constantly in different directions. It has only been one week and so many lashes have fallen out. I have not even put on mascara. I did not experience this with lashes from other salons. I had no prior irritation, wore mascara and they lasted for almost 3 weeks (even when I went swimming). These do not compare and I feel as if it was not worth the money. If you can go to Manhattan to pink lash it is definitely worth it. read more

By far the best lash place that I've been to on Long Island. Professional, clean, attentive to your needs, and peaceful zen vibes. I purchased the $49 groupon deal for new customers and my results were super silky and well done. You cannot feel the glue that that they use unlike a lot of other lash salons. Not feeling the super glue that they used was important to me because I am sensitive and lovely lash techs are very good with the application. I was cold and even received a blanket to cover me for the duration of the application. It does get pricey after this deal but it is definitely worth it for long lasting results. read more

I have been looking for a new Lash spot and found Lovely Lash. They have a promotion going on $49 for $110. My tech Emily sat with me to go over prices and what styles would work best for me, which was nice because other places that I have been to rushed through that process. She walked me into the lash room and it wasnt what I expected. It was way nicer!! So much natural light, very clean and there were partitions separating each table for privacy. They also have a bin under the table for all your personal belongings and the main door was shut so you can't hear anything going on in the reception area. Emily did not rush through the process, she took her time, explained everything she was doing and did a really great job. She gave me exactly what I wanted.. mink lashes with a natural look.. I purchased a Groupon for this establishment and was very disappointed. The place is clean and the staff is polite so that is why I gave them two stars. But they advertised 100 lashes per eye, yet the lashes are so spaced out and look very fake, looks like they only appl8 50 per eye! I mentioned it to the technician who did nothing about it. I also mentioned it to the owner owner whose only solution was for me to pay extra for more lashes which I didn't mind but she wanted me to come back tomorrow. She straight out told me it's because I have big eyes, which they should have noticed and perhaps mention before they started. Even though I have never heard this from any place I have been to. When I told her I was traveling in the morning, it was 1:15pm she suggested I come back at 6pm, even though I told her I came after work and had not slept and did not live close to their estastablishment. I've literally been coming to Lovely Lash consistently for the 2.5 years! I've tried other lash places but you seriously can not beat the price and outcome you get at Lovely Lash. I don't even bother going to other places anymore because why would I? I get compliments on my lashes all the time and although I get mine really long (14mm) no one ever suspects I'm wearing falsies because the application of these extensions are just done so well and in a way where even if you get a long length like i do, it doesn't overwhelm your eyes even when you don't wear makeup. This place could have gotten 4 stars but I took one away because of the comfort factor. First of all, the owner needs to reconsider the benches you lay on. Those benches are extremely hard. Very uncomfortable! Either they need to buy a extra mat or some type of thick cover to lay on. You're on the bench for at least a hour so why not place something soft to lay on. My back is killing me since I left from that place earlier today. Ouch! Another reason for the 3 stars is the music they play over the speaker. Idk if it's a tape or what but damn! It plays the same 5 songs repeatedly. I totally get that they want you to relax so they play easy listening music. Ok so why not play lite fm. But please get rid of that damn tape you play with the 5 corny songs on it! And why not turn down the lights and use a special lamp directly on the person you're working on. I'm sorry but the place I use to go to had a much better environment. It was so comfortable, I would fall asleep within a few minutes. But the price was more so they lost my business. As for the job itself, my lashes do last for most of the 2 week timeframe and the people that work there are nice and take their time.
