My friend and I went here last night for a comedy show. The bar has a chill vibe with cool decor. It's nestled in a hip area of East Austin. I liked that some of the cocktails were named with love themes like "Lovebird" and "Head Over Heels." I ordered the "Texas Peach" mocktail and it was so refreshing! The bartender here was so great. She was super nice and helpful! For parking, I'm not sure if there is a lot but I was easily able to find street parking in the neighborhood. I'll be back here soon! read more

I've been to Lovebirds for a fun Bravo trivia night (shoutout to all the fellow Bravoholics) and while the venue is small with a tiny indoor space and outside patio. Lovebirds has a sweet, cozy vibe fit for its namesake. They have the tastiest Espresso Martinis I've ever had made with my absolute favorite ingredient: whipped egg whites. Unfortunately, since the signature drinks come with plenty of ingredients, the drinks can take a minute. There's only one bar and the bartenders struggle to keep up with demand. Came across this place when waiting for our order to be complete at Arlo's. It had an interesting decor/ambiance which sort of made it look like a small, casual divebar. Decided to get a blood orange margarita and a sour cherry beer. Both were great. Their mixed drinks are very good, and we could see why so many people were stopping by here. Employees were helpful in suggesting drinks and service was great. A good, casual place to hangout and drinks pair well with Arlo's nextdoor. I highly recommend this place! read more

Would I recommend this spot to everyone? No. Would I recommend this spot to anyone feeling like their best she-self? Absolutely! Super cute spot that really screams, "girls run the world". A perfect spot for a ladies happy hour, or even a sophisticated bachelorette. The vibe is groovy and creative, as are the drink selections. Oh, and there's also a free photo booth carved in a wall. Reminds me of Harry Potter's closet room, but all glammed up by a diva version of Xzibit on "Pimp My Ride". Service was great, drinks made to order. I swear I intended to try two different drinks, but I enjoyed the Ball and Chain so much, I got it again. I'd describe it as a whiskey sour, with a head of foam for creaminess. I will disclose, however, the drink (for $14) was quite small and the second bartender made it sweeter than the first...the first was made wonderfully by Saz. Seems like some consistency is needed. Happy Hour is long, 3-7 PM which will save you $2 off most (almost all) choices. If you're looking for a bar happy hour, this may be out of the way as it is far down East Caesar Chavez, but if you're looking for some cute cocktails with your she-friends, check it out! read more

This is my first time at Love Birds. Great atmosphere! Really awesome aesthetic they created inside. Giving this place a 4 out of 5 because the drinks were just not giving what they should have. I found them really underwhelming. I ordered a Ball and Chain and my partner ordered a Mai Tai. Both were a little lackluster. However, service is quick, and the bartenders are friendly! I love the vibe they've created, and there's tons of space to sit outside, as well. No parking on site, but it's easy to find (free) street parking nearby. There's also a delicious poke food truck parked on site, which is a must! read more

Check out Lovebirds! I Really loved the energy of patrons, and thoughtful decor of LoveBirds! I had no problem finding parking around the corner in a neighborhood (no intense parking signs around.) The interior decorator definitely did their thing and knows how to make a space inviting + beautiful. I loved all the small touches, the atmosphere and how everything came together in the theme of a moody romantic vibe. This would be a cute place to check out around the love month of February! LISTEN! My favorite thing here was the music! Wow, the playlist going was amazing--great R&B vibes (music may vary if there's a different bartender) the bartender whipped up a really fun cocktail (+10) and I also ordered the passion fruit margarita and it was great ($12) There's also a poke place right next door, but I'm sure you could bring in a snack or dinner and no one would mind. read more

Came here for a first date and it's a pretty cute place. I happened to pick the broken stool and the bartender was attentive enough to come over and let me know there are better stools. This place is adorable. I love the cute couches and the hip cushions. The bartender was nice and personable so I thought it was gonna be a 5 star experience right off the bat. I ordered a lovebird cocktail with Dos Hombres mezcal instead of rum. It did not taste like it had any mezcal and instead of any hint of smokiness it pretty much just tasted like soap. I took off the gold paper straw and that helped with the odd taste a tiny bit. We ended up going to a different bar, but next time I'll try something different to see if I have a better experience. read more

We came into Lovebirds to meet up with some friends for a couple of cocktails on a Friday evening. I really loved the look and aesthetic of the spot when you first walk in. The velvet chairs, pretty neon signs, and even the glassware is a vibe no doubt. I just wish I was dressed up in my best to be able to take some pretty classy-looking pictures while I was sipping on the tasty cocktails we opted for. Everyone talked up the Lovebird cocktail that comes in a glass bird so my partner ended up getting one to sip on. I opted for the well and canned beer special they had on a small menu on the bar. I even saw some zero proof (non-alcoholic) cocktails as well as some tasty aqua frescas (fruity water) too! The night we came in there was a DJ bumping everything from 90's-current tunes which made it that more enjoyable to hang out on the patio and dance in my seat. Dancing is encouraged but I was too shy to leave the patio and join in on the ladies letting loose by the DJ. There was plenty of parking in and around the spot especially in the surrounding neighborhood. There doesn't seem to be a dedicated area for parking if you are coming here so be sure to check out what the parking situation is across the street (it might be paid parking). We didn't get to try the food while we were here but it is poke and there are menus all over the tables and patio if you are interested. They will come deliver straight to your seat if you do end up ordering something so no reason to have to move unless you're up next to get the next round. read more

Absolutely adored this bar! I returned 2 times in my 4 day visit to Austin(technically 3 because my friend forgot her phone). Let's talk about the beyond cute interior here. So girly so cute. I want to live down the street. I got a new style Mai Tai and was promised no weird juice in it. Absolutely loved it. I'm a huge mai tai girl and plan on returning to fill my punch card out!! Pro tip send a friend as tribute to the line across the street for La Bbq(for the meat sweats) while you enjoy a drink or two. There sacrifice for the vibes is worth it(I was not said friend they are the mvp). Also they have fun mocktails that you can order to go in the cutest cup. This place is so cute. It is just as People have been posting about it. It's fun, chic, vintage looking cute. The bartenders were super nice and very attentive right away. This place is also dog friendly, which was so fun. I had the lovebird drink, which was good if you like Mezcal and rum. They also gave us a taste of a Red Bull watermelon slushy kind of drink and it was delicious. This used to be Counter Culture. My vegan go to anytime I would visit Austin. I didn't know how to feel about being in a space I used to love, as a new business but it was good vibes. I loved the aesthetic of Lovebirds and the drinks were so good! It did get extremely loud inside once it got packed but we were gone by then. The crowd is a younger crowd but anyone can go and enjoy a cocktail. The Photo Booth could've been better. It's just a small pink closet sized room with a huge screen that takes bad photos of you. They could I've just done the old school Photo Booth where u get the print outs of the photos. It's still going to get some used to this space not being Counter Culture. I've been to Lovebirds twice. The place is absolutely adorable. The drink prices are reasonable for cocktails. There is a real lack of seating though. Most of the seating is outside, but the inside is where you want to be because of the ambiance. read more

I suppose it might be frowned upon to bring small children into a bar--but eh. I did it anyway and Lovebirds was a lovely place for some HH with my sister and her two daughters, 5 & 3. Now before you judge, know that I don't know you and dgaf, but also the bartenders were so nice. They did not once inform us that we needed to leave, which we would've if it was against policy. Instead, they made cute mocktails for the girls! The drinks are fun and don't stray too far from traditional cocktails. Whatever the frozen cocktail they have, you should order it. This place doesn't serve food but I highly recommend the poke truck next door, which you can bring inside or dine outside in the cute patio! It's for sure a repeat place when I'm in Austin visiting. read more

I have been so excited to visit this new bar in Austin, and the bar certainly did not disappoint! The bar is so beautiful, and has such amazing decor. I invited one of my best friends to join me here, and we both felt like this was such a cute spot to grab drinks again! All of the drinks were amazing, and the bartenders were wonderful with helping or providing advice on what they feel you'd like best. They even made my head over heels drink a little sweeter when I mentioned I adore sweeter drinks. I definitely recommend coming here for your next happy hour with the girls! Was having a great time. We both had 2 shots and two different drinks. The drinks were not the problem. The staff was horrible. The gentleman was great but the women that came in later was not welcoming at all. We were finishing our last drink when a waitress walked up to and said with an attitude we are closed for a private party so you have to leave and then she turned and walked away rudely. We spoke with the manager about it and she said she was rude because sometimes people don't like to leave which had nothing to do with us. Would never return. Snatched my card, was extremely rude to myself and all 4 of my friends and despite the drinks actually being pretty decent, ruined the experience because of her nasty attitude. To make it worse, the owners was just standing around watching her (and giving his friends free shots) as people went behind the curtain.
