Staff is friendly but I'm giving this place 2 stars because of its cleanliness. I went in with my mom and sister to get a mani pedi, they did not have plastic liners for the pedi station like other salons do so I asked if they used them and the lady said they dont because the chairs are 2 weeks old. I didn't like the idea having my pedi done with out the liners but we went along with it. What really grossed me out was that right after we were done they did not spray down not clean in any sort the pedi station and they put 2 girls with their mom where we were. Also, my mom got a mani but the lady forgot to do the massage and when she told the lady that she forgot to do the massage she said she did do it and she would show us the video of the store. After watching it you could see she did not do it they lady didnt offer to do it nor apologize for not completing her job. Hope this review may help someone. read more

I will say Lisa, the nail technician is very good. However, don't ever try to book your appt. online. The time slot may be open, you can book the appointment, providing your email address and phone number, AND even get a confirmation. BUT, once you get there you come to find out they are booked solid and can't take you, This isn't the first time this has happened to me. They send you away and do not really seem to care. If they have your email address and phone number they COULD have and SHOULD have contacted me. A waste of my time in driving there and back. I will be going elsewhere from now on and will tell everyone I know who goes there. read more

I went to this nail salon for the first time based on its reviews. I loved it. Everyone is very nice, place is clean and they do an awesome job. I got a gel fill-in and a pedicure. I just moved to the area and tried two other places prior to Love Nails. I believe I have found my go to nail salon. read more

Jen did my nails. Amazing customer service. Constantly reassured me of what she was doing and made sure I was happy with everything.

Love this place and the ladies there! They all do such wonderful work. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

Just had a great pedicure here! I just moved to the area and wanted a small place I could go for a quick pedi. I tried another place that was disappointing so needed a new local spot. My nails look great, and the massage was actually good, not a few pats here and there. I'll be back! read more

This place is amazing!!!! They have amazing customer servest, and they do awesome nails!!

Went here for the first time to get a gel mani for a vacation. Was greeted very cheerfully by the owner (?) and as the place was not busy at all I was seen immediately. They had club music playing, rather on the loud side, which could have been annoying but was actually kind of endearing. They all seemed to be having a fine time doing nails, bopping along to beat. I had a French manicure done with a third stripe of color, which they told me was "on the house," which was nice, but I was charged $40 and not the $35 that is listed on their website. Maybe they changed prices and didn't update the site? The salon itself is clean, tidy, comfortable, probably a little on the small side, but as I said, there was only one other person in there when I came in, so it was fine. The staff are really personable and friendly, more so than I have experienced at most places. Living near Randall Rd, there are plenty of nail salons in close range to choose from and Love Nails is a bit out of the way for me, but I think I'd come back based on my first experience. read more

Always very happy with the way my nails turn out. Jen is my favorite so I always make my appointment with her. The environment is always fun and upbeat. read more

Pedi at Love Nails Salon Wednesday at 5 pm. I made an appointment but you just wait your turn. I had the 'honey pedi', it's fine. 5 mani stations, 5 pedi stations. No room between pedi stations. Yes, they gave me a tiny water bottle, so? There wasn't a lot of talking so that was good. My tech couldn't understand English, pedi worker next to me had to interpret. Also, 10 workers, 2 licenses hung on the wall. In all, typical cheap pedi place. Not going back. read more

I'm new to the Carpentersville area, so I was looking for a nail salon with good reviews, near my house. Love nails had only a few reviews, but most of them were good, so I figured I'd give them a try. I called in the morning, and set up an appt for later that afternoon. When you first walk in, the atmosphere is nice. It looks well maintained, and sanitary. I started off with a pedicure. The girl doing it was good. She wasn't rough, and didn't rush through it. I spent a little extra money on the deluxe pedicure, and it was nice. She even put a cute design on my big toe. As I was sitting there, another lady offered myself and the other customers a bottle of water, which I thought was nice. Afterwards, I then moved on to my acrylic fill in. I started off with a gentleman, who didn't seem to know what he was doing. I told him i would like to file down my nails. So he brought out a nail clipper, and started to clip my acrylic nails! He clipped my pinky nail, so close to the skin, cut me, and made me bleed! He put this liquid medicine on, and all it did was burn like hell, and cause my finger to swell up, and throb. He then proceeded to use the drill on my nails, and he kept it in one spot too long. Every nail he did burned badly. I started to feel that my experience with him wasn't going to be a good one. So one of the girls Kate, noticed I looked unhappy, and she asked me if I would like someone else. I absolutely agreed. I wasn't comfortable with the gentleman, so Jen who is the owner started working on my nails. She was wonderful. Very friendly, always laughing, and. A great person to talk too. She also apologized several times for the problems I had with the other gentleman. The conversation was good, and my nails turned out nice. I'll go back as long as Jen is the only one who does my nails from now on. read more

My mom brought me here for a pedicure while I was visiting from out of town. We were greeted warmly by Jen at the door. The atmosphere at Love Nails was so fun!! It was different from so many nail salons where workers speak to each other exclusively in their own language. Here there was lots of laughing and joking with regular clients. "What happens at Love, stays at Love". Also my feet got the Love they needed! My pedicure is perfect! read more

Love this place! The ladies were so friendly and the service was amazing. My nails turned out great! Definitely my new nail place. Thank you ladies! read more

My daughter and I have been coming here for two years now and would never go anywhere else! We just love Jen, and even if one of us is not getting our nails done, or one is done before the other, we stay and talk. Everyone is so friendly...the place is clean, with music going. Jen does my nails perfect every time. I get compliments on them so often that I carry some of her business cards with me. Yes, sometimes they are busy, and even with an appointment I have waited as long as 45 minutes. That can happen anywhere at any business and for me personally it doesn't bother me. I read a magazine or chit chat because I'm on my way home from work and in no hurry. I can understand if you're pressed for time, but since it happens rarely, just ask for another appointment, or wait. But, what I do like, is that they aren't rushing the person in the chair just because you're next. Everyone is treated the same, and must love their nails or tell Jen and she'll make sure you do! They give you a bottle of water, and they have a "punch card"...after (either 8 or 10) punches your bill is 15% off. I will get a mani and a pedi on that day. It's not just the great job on my nails that I "love", it's the people too. read more

I waited almost 40min for a fill and my mom to get a mani. we were finally seated they took my mom first and she ended up being done in 10min! then my mom had to wait another 30 for me! they didnt day sorry for the wait they just hurry to get done. half of them i can guarantee arnt even licensed because only two licenses show on the wall and some of them cant do acrylics?? i got my fill and it was the worst, she didnt even cover my full nail just where it was out grown. then didnt file them at all, they are all bumpy. paint job looked like a kindergartner did it! and left air bubbles in the nails.. this is the second time i went and everytime i was not happy. staff is not professional and is screaming things across the salon, her husband comes in and shes talking "dirty" and screaming hey big boy ;) across the salon! not at all professional. do horrible jobs. not worth the money read more

Kept waiting for the salon to open, and was well worth the wait! Kate and Jen are awesome techs, very personable, friendly and just a pleasure to be around. They do excellent work and take the time with you. I take my mom, who is 86 for a manicure, and they treat her just like they would their moms. Me, I enjoyed the pedi deluxe, and manicure. We go now every two weeks, as mom lives across the street in a supportive living facility and is very handy to get to. Thanks Kate and Jen for coming into our area. read more

I've been dying to try this place from all the great reviews. I made an appointment online but my friend had made an appointment for an earlier time. I call to see if I can come in at the earlier time and they said it was no problem. I walk in and am immediately welcomed by the friendly staff by name! The space is smaller and is no 5 star hotel but you don't even care because it's well laid out, has simple but homey decor, very clean, and didn't have that annoying nail salon smell. I sit down right away and chose a color from their great selection. I tell my tech I'm getting acrylics. I bite my nails so they're really short and unhealthy. As he was smoothing my nails out he was constantly checking to see if they didn't hurt. I also appreciated that they didn't openly speak in their native language because I'm very insecure about my nails and always think they're just talking about me. He put a lot of time and detail into my nails. He also made sure that I was ok and gave me everything that I asked for with no problem. I even changed my polish color 3 times and he seemed happy to do it. I loved that he took the acrylics all the way to my cuticle so that I couldn't see any of my natural nail and he blended it so amazingly. I also loved that after my nails dried he checked to see if they were ok and they even give you a quick hand massage. My friend and I even got free details on our nails since it was our first time. I think it's a little more expensive than other places but WELL worth the money. Many of the clients were regulars and knew each other by name which lets me know people love to come back. The owner checked our nails out when we were done and everyone said bye when we left. I've been to many salons in the area and have never ever been more happy with my results. I've also never felt more welcomed and had a great time with the amazing staff. I love this place and am definitely a customer. read more

I love this place. So friendly, warm and professional. I have the gel nails, and when I go for "fills" they take their time and do a wonderful job. We sit and chit chat...it's like a "going out with the girls" night. The business is clean, they do a wonderful job...never have I left there disappointed. Even my daughter, who can no longer have gel nails, or polish because of her food service job, still comes with me sometime just to see and talk with the "girls". If you're looking for a nice neighborhood nail salon with good prices and a fantastic job this is it! I agree with reviewer Maranatha, it's like walking into your friends house and just laughing and smiling and really enjoying yourself! You're definitely NOT a "number" here! :) read more

Love my nails!!!! Lisa is the BEST!!! So glad I found this place! Terrific neighborhood feel. Got a Mani-Pedi and was treated like a queen!!! Highly recommend - space is small - but clean and friendly! read more

Truly the BEST place to get your nails done. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and fun all at the same time. I've been to quite a few nail salons over the years, and I will say that I've never walked into a place where all of the staff knows each client's name as they walk in- The clients ask how so-and-so's vacation was, they share stories, etc.. It's really like a family there. But, no worries, if you just want to relax and not socialize, they respect that, too. As far as their work is concerned, ALL of the techs do a very professional job (I've always been beyond pleased) and the prices are competitive. They also provide a 'punch' card, so at each visit you get credit for your purchase- Once that punch card is filled you get a discount the next time you come in.. All being said, I won't go anywhere else!! read more
