Summerland Spa

Adahlia (@the_circle_coach) has created something truly special at Summerland Spa in Salida. I've…read morehad the privilege of experiencing her breathwork, meditation, and especially her sound bath sessions, and each one has brought me a deep sense of peace, clarity, and renewal. She has a genuine gift for making everyone feel seen, supported, and cared for, creating a safe and nurturing space where you can simply be yourself. Her small group sessions feel personal and welcoming, and it's clear that she pours her heart into helping others heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. Whether you're exploring metaphysical practices, looking to strengthen your mindset, or just need a place to slow down and recharge, Adahlia has a beautiful way of meeting you where you are. She has become our go-to for moments of self-care and personal growth, and I can't recommend her enough. If you're considering attending one of her sessions, do yourself the favor, you'll leave feeling lighter, more centered, and grateful you went.

My mother in law and I cannot stop raving about it! The massage was so relaxing and I had a knot in my back that the massage therapist was able to focus on and help me with. Hannah was great with the facial. She always asks what I am working on and if my face is dry or oily so she can get the right products. I always feel so refreshed and my skin feels amazing after my facial with Hannah. The charcuterie was amazing! We enjoyed it so much! I can't wait to book my next spa day or facial!!!!

This will be my second and last time coming to this location…read more My first experience here was getting a couples pedicure, where I was accidentally charged an additional $100 to my card at checkout. Since it was a busy weekend, I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt and didn't think much of it. I returned to the salon to get the overcharge refunded, and the gentleman at the register provided me with a $20 store credit as compensation for the inconvenience of having to drive back to the location. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I decided to return today for another pedicure so I could use the store credit I was given at this exact location about a month ago. However, I was told that they no longer accept those cards and that I would need to go to the Floyd location to use it. I explained the situation to the same gentleman who originally gave me the store credit. He told me that they no longer use those cards and proceeded to charge me $51 for my pedicure. I explained that if I had known beforehand that I wouldn't be able to use the credit at this location, I would have simply gone to the other location to begin with. His response was essentially just a nod, and I ultimately paid to avoid any further conflict, especially since it was clear the outcome wasn't going to change. At this point, it's not about the $20 credit--it's about the principle and the lack of communication and consideration for the customer. After being inconvenienced once because of an overcharge, I returned expecting to be able to use the compensation I was given, only to find out at checkout that I couldn't. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. I will also be letting my family and friends who recommended this salon know about my experience and will be recommending that they visit one of the other locations instead.

Then I received a phone call from my sister-in-law, whose son was getting married that day, and I realized I was running about 30 minutes late. Mena was so kind and accommodating and still got me in! She was incredibly professional, and the staff was so welcoming and understanding. Honestly, if that had been my regular salon, I'm not sure they would have been nearly as flexible. Thank you, Mena, for your kindness, understanding, and professionalism. I truly appreciate you helping me out on such an important and busy day! -Antonia Gerber

I never insulted you in Spanish -- that you don't understand my beautiful Chilean Spanish is one thing, but claiming I insulted you is another. On September 10, just four days after my haircut, I went back to your salon because I didn't like how it looked. You were completely freaking out, asking your receptionist who I was and why I was there instead of simply asking me. Only after I introduced myself ("Filomena, it's Carla from Chile") did your attitude change. Because my English is limited and your Spanish isn't good either, I made sure to write down and translate exactly what I wanted to say so I could explain it politely: "Hi Mena, I called you but you didn't answer. Since I left work early, I came because I had the time. It's not a big deal, I just don't like my haircut because it's flat and I want layers." At first, even though you only wanted to give me a lesson on how to style my hair, I said yes, I wanted your help. But when you started giving opinions about my face shape and telling me you had already done "many" layers, as if to say I didn't need more, that's when I decided to tell you no -- because it's not up to you to decide whether I like my own hair or not. I paid you over $500. And honestly, if after 30+ years in this business you still haven't figured out how to treat your clients with respect, maybe you should ask for a refund on that "experience" -- because clearly three decades haven't been enough for you to learn. Finally, I would like to know if your salon has cameras with microphones to corroborate that everything I'm saying is true. Carla
