This shows the thin shim we inserted so we could open the door. We disassembled the door frame, put in the shim, and then the door opened.

Ordered an 18" hollow core door for a small closet. Not a size that is normally stocked (anywhere) so it was a special order. I worked with Ryan. He took the order, and the door arrived about a week later. All good so far. However, the "good" stopped there. When we tried to install the door, we found that they had left no space between the door and the frame in the top left corner. If you look at any installed door, it should have a 1/8-1/4" gap between door and frame so that it can open. With this door, no gap. The door was cut just a bit too wide. We couldn't open it. We contacted Ryan and he acted offended that we had this issue. He immediately blamed it on us and asked really condescending questions (perhaps because I'm middle aged female, though I worked for years as a carpenter and my contractor is an excellent carpenter and experienced door installer). He actually asked me (several times) if we had removed the shipment screws that secure the door to the frame for shipment. Wow! That is a truly condescending question. He said we were installing it wrong. He was sure there was nothing wrong with the door and was very defensive. We sent him pictures of the door showing the issue. (See photo) The door was completely level and plumb, and there was no gap. One of his sales guys even came by, looked at the door and saw the same problem. Since we didn't want to rebuild the whole door, we asked him for a slightly larger header piece (just 1/8-1/4" longer) so we could disassemble the frame and reassemble with a slightly longer header, and he grudgingly agreed. My contractor drove through rush hour traffic to their location to get the new header. Guess what, it was exactly the same length as the previous one. Exactly. Not a millimeter longer. He provide us with a stock header. Why did he waste 2.5 hours of my contractors time to come pick up a standard header? It feels vindictive and unprofessional on Ryan's part. He said that he would provide us with the item that would resolve the issue, but he didn't. And he was rude about it even though it was his error. We finally created a small shim to move out the side frame piece a bit, and the door worked fine. (see picture). This place might be OK for standard, premade doors, but don't use them for a custom door, and don't expect Ryan to treat you like you have a brain in your head if there are any issues.

I'm a dog sitter. We watched an Australian shepherd mix that has extreme separation anxiety issues. I left her locked in our bedroom alone because I had to take my two dogs to the vet. She attacked our bedroom door so severely, it could not be repaired, with 1/4" gouges at the door's base. Because it was stained and not painted, the time-honored Bondo repair was not an option. Time for a new door. Lou's doors educated me about external vs internal doors and that the framing was different. Unfortunately this was an external door, so unless I wanted to reframe it, I had to purchase an external door. After picking out a new door, I left them the old one including hinges to provide a copy with the hinges transferred over. What a copy! The hinges weren't off by even 1 millimeter. It slid into the receiving hinges like it had been there for 20 years. It's a solid, good looking door made from naked wood, which I will now paint. I've used them before to get a new front door for a rental property. One of the hinges was off due to an understandable error - the guy measured my old door and for the bottom hinge even said out loud the measurement was 8 & 7/16", but then probably wrote 8 & 7/8". Not a perfect experience, but I was able to rehang that bottom hinge in 10 minutes. They have quality products and when they get it right, they nail it.

Great selection Very nice staff Timely Extremely satisfied My favorite Great selection Plenty of parking

Great experience working with Ryan and Kelly upgrading all the interior doors in my home including a new front door with sidelights. Super helpful with selecting the door styles and hardware. Doors and all the hardware were delivered ready for my contractor to install. One of the door handle sets was incorrect but Kelly resolved and had a replacement delivered immediately. Love the result.

I worked with Pat, whom was very quick with providing an estimate with the door style I wanted. Once I signed and paid the deposit the door was done in 8 weeks, they delivered the door. The door was primed and prehung. I would definitely order from them again. I even dropped off my door handle since the measurements on the box didn't match the center holes. Pat held on to the door handle and delivered it with the door and it was perfect! My door was a custom size as well, 4x8.

Cool doors

It takes for ever to get a response from them. If you call they hang up the phone on you. They don't respect their customers

We were recommended by another company to come here and I can see why. Homer was really patient with me and spent a lot of time with my husband and I in trying to find the right flooring. On top of that, Homer answered my concerns and questions via email too. He is just wonderful! My only advice is to not ever get Mohawk tecwood, natural linen oak. It's my fault. I tried to research and I picked it. Homer tried to steer us to better quality to hold up for everyday use, but I was dead set on this. I should have listened. I will be back and listen to Homer next time. Just love this place!

He was courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to help. He made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Unfortunately, our experience with Shawn on the windows and doors side was the complete opposite. He often came across as condescending, seemed distracted and in a rush, and follow-up was poor. Customer service and communication were disappointing, and we were left wondering why someone with that attitude is in a customer-facing role. Based on my experience, I would happily recommend Homer for flooring, but I cannot say the same for the windows and doors department.

This is a big store and you can check out their products online as well…read more Our contractor recommended this place as he has an account there with deep discount that can be passed onto the customers. They have a variety of tile selections and most of them were imported from Italy or Spain which with better quality there's less yield loss, hence you can buy less. Some of the special priced items have longer lead times, so make sure you double check with them. We didn't enjoy the process as much as with other shops because of 3 reasons. First of all, our sales contact was quite unavailable on the weekends or even Friday afternoons, so we had a hard time scheduling with her. But if you just walk in and ask for help from the front desk, they will assign someone to help. The second issue we found was the inconsistency of product introductions. We were worried about slippery tiles in the shower, our sales contact suggested us to focus on the tiles that have a special coating. The second sales person we talked to said the special coating was only for outdoor use, using the gauge lines between tiles is good enough to prevent slipping. Thirdly, after we got the quote, we couldn't place the order into the system with our contractor's discount; only that appointed sales person could do. Luckily we could get the rest of the process done via email and she sent out a link for me to make payment. If you have a Rakuten cash back app and pay online, I think you get the cash back as well.

They're not the floor guys we originally requested.. as we thought Hesam was scheduled but it's not until the other guys showed up. Honestly the job was not done as expected. When they're about to finish n vacuum, we went upstairs n spotted nails on planks edges, squeaking noises in some areas, gaps btw planks..n sadly caulking was awfully thick n sloppily done w dirty marks around which obviously shown poor workmanship n different from the rest of our 7 yrs. old wood floors ..so we asked the main guy to put filters btw planks n fixed some opened space w caulking...n we cleaned the old carpet strings still hanging underneath the baseboard after they left.. it's unbelievable:( Looks like they need to remove the baseboard n redo the caulking.. It's late n dark so will wait the next day for more cleanups. As for now, it probably be too late to fixed some of the flooring issues. As we back to the store on Monday returning the extra floor molding, my husband told Hesam we're disappointed the guys he scheduled; he said will get the issues fixed soon n make us happy..hope he'll follow up as said..At this point, we're still upset n wait, sending him pics, n hopefully Leo's crew will show up to make the problem turning out better.. will update as soon as issues fixed..
