Fresh, icy cold shrimp dusted with a spicy, salty addictive seasoning , add a tub of cocktail sauce and a tub of fresh, fresh grated horseradish to die for.....just an incredible memory on a rain soaked afternoon. The owner of this place is Very RUDE !! They advertise specials then refuse to honor them....Steer clear of this overpriced tourist trap!! Fantastic atmosphere, great biker bar and everyone is really friendly. Food is great too. Personally I could live in the car park and have the bar as the lobby but my wife would have something to say about that! If you want to go to a friendly biker bar, enjoy great decor (it's like a museum), great food and drinks then this is the bar for you. Great security and it's located right beside the beach as well. I'm a local hair stylist & cosmetologist in the area. My female clients 18-40 have opted to head downtown Melbourne instead which is sad. Most female clients are saying that the atmosphere for them as pretty women is rough. Sad, but I hear the lighting is like a spotlight and they feel like they're being followed around by the same locals all night long :(. I agree that the ambiance DT is much more sexy and relaxed with room to move about and actually talk to people. Maybe they'll work on that lighting and atmosphere so our local girls are not heading over the bridge. We support local business and love to keep Beachside thriving! This place ROCKS! They have music every single night...and have national acts on a regular basis. The atmosphere is great...nice folks behind the bar and in the crowd. So sad that this type of place is allowed to remain open in a nice beachside community. Brawls almost every night. Police in the parking lot on standby on Fri and Sat. No less than 7 large bouncers. Bullet proof glass in fron of the band. So sad - It actual is a decent place before the sun goes down - after that STAY AWAY! My husband and I went to watch a good band we'd seen at some of the beach festivals. We are middle class - PTA type of folks. When a "regular" patron thought we we're invading his "space" by standing too close, he called the bouncer who asked us to leave. It was astonishing - we were told - since he was a regular he could stay. With thier reputation for riots , I am sure they were trying to avoid a "situation". Hand out upstairs and watch the people downstairs, socialize and or have a drink out on the balcony and enjoy the ocean breeze. Went to Lou's tonight for dinner and a drink, arrived at 7:40 and sat at upstairs inside bar. Four , I counted them, four of the staff whee behind the bar which was not busy at all. I was there for about ten minutes looking at my phone and the menu. Not once did any of the staff stopped and asked if I wanted anything to drink. Inexcusable, absolutely not many customers at all. I felt invisible to the staff. Finally left and went down the street where I was seated, had a drink, and ordered within five minutes. Only one waitress working the floor. read more

My review is based on the Wednesday night karaoke DJ; the worst we have ever encountered. How can the bar manager not know this guy is crap? As I asked about his song list he boasted "I haven't bought a new song in over 20 years. Don't need to; everyone here is over 60 years old". Really? So what is your excuse for not having ONE John Lennon or Cat Stevens song? That isn't even the annoying part of this slacker. He turns everyone's microphone and sound DOWN when they sing YET turns himself up nice and LOUD when he sings (and he sings VERY often, even though the wait to sing is about an hour each round; loads of singers yet he constantly sings and not just that, he insists on singing back up for people and doing duets too). This guy brags about how he has been a karaoke DJ for "over 30 years" yet sucks so bad; I just can't. The ladies in the bathroom were bitching up a storm about him, telling me "he is an asshole but they won't hire anyone else". We all asked him nicely to "turn up our sound please" and he just bitched "everyone can hear you just fine". We could not hear ourselves so surely the over 60 hard of hearing crowd couldn't hear us at all. What a twisted f*ck this guy is. Miserable in his tiny world so he makes others suffer? This bar deserves a better karaoke DJ. This control freak runs the Wednesday 5:30pm slot and really pisses on your parade. What a waste of time. We drove 50 miles to sing here as people told me how great it was. They must be talking about the other nights as Wednesdays must be avoided at all costs. The people and staff, apart from this asshole, were very cool. The other singers, the regulars, were all whispering to us they too, can't stand this guy. We left and went to another karaoke place at a bowling alley and that place rocked. Amazing sound, digital, which means they have countless songs, not the ancient CD set up that Lou's Blues has. Stopped in on a whim (I've driven by it a few times and it looked colorful enough for me). Quite a dive bar once you get inside. Mannequins on every side, zombie heads hanging from the ceiling, Clinton in a corner, bras and panties hanging from the chandelier, and barber chairs for you to sit on and take it all in. But don't let the randomness of the place scare you. The staff are awesome and the crowd is nothing but a good old fashioned time. They don't have much of a selection when it comes to beer and they're limited in their options for karaoke music, but still it is entertaining to see a 85 year old woman sing Frank Sinatra in a place like this. I recommend it because you don't see a place like this often and it is a great place to go out and people watch (if that's your thing). So I suggest stopping in if you ever get the chance, you'll walk away with an interesting story - I know I did.....and it had nothing to do with the 85-year-old-Frank-Sinatra-singing woman. read more

We had a large group of us head here for dinner. It has a ton of random decorations, pirate girls, chadelier with bras and undies hanging off of it, wax figures, and other random decor. It makes it quite interesting! Downstairs had kareoke & towards the end of our visit, a band looked like it was setting up, this was saturday night. We sat upstairs. We had a large rowdy group as we were a bridal party for a wedding the night before. The bartenders and waiters were great! They were quick, polite, friendly, and most of all patient. We were with some native North Dakotan's and they like olives in their beers! The bartender had no problem bringing us extra olives! I only drank beer there, but another person in our group got the giant margarita. I tried it, it was delicious! We also ordered food. Food was eh. We got some wings to start, I had one wing which was decent, then the next wing, it was warm on the outside and stone cold on the inside. Yuck. My boyfriend also hit a wing like that and we stopped eating them. It was like they were precooked, frozen, and then insufficiently heated up. The waiter was kind enough to take them off our cheque. Then I got the grouper fingers, which were good. I tried a chicken tender & that was good. The shrimp & avocado wrap was not very good at all. I'd say if you choose to eat here, stick with simple fried options. Great place to drink though. Prices are decent. The menus are on records, which is a nice touch. They are a little difficult to read as it's quite dark in there & the colour of the font isn't contrasting enough. Bring your glasses lol Overall, we had a good time and we'd go back for drinks. Musical fun every night of the week here at this beachside pub. A fun, resorty type place, where the staff is friendly and upbeat, and the food is solid good pub style food. I loved the fresh grouper and caesar salad in a spinach wrap! Salty, tangy, caesar-y, with a little cup of slaw on the side. Karaoke and live bands...a fun place, and for all ages. Great place and excellent service! My wife and I were staying next door at the hotel and decided to try it out. We had a great time, the food was good, and the service was excellent! My GF & I went 4/10/16 on a sunday afternoon they were having a blues band playing which was excellent. We ordered some oysters(great,fresh), shrimp(large & fresh)but they put a lot of salt on it,next time will ask of no salt. I also ordered wings,conch fritters and a grouper sandwich and they were all good. The atmosphere at this place is excellent and the staff very attentive,friendly and very helpful. They have an upstairs which is a great view of the ocean, also a bar too. The downstairs is a large bar and a nice dance floor. We love this place and will be coming next week on a saturday night ready to dance to Kattyshack(80's)music. We write another review on how it went. Did i mention that the beach is right behind this place to go for a stroll? PS: We spent about 4 1/2 hours there and the beer and wine was priced right and so was the food, plus they have many good bands playing there as well! they know how to find good talent! I've been here a few times. Hubby and I go in for the last set to enjoy the music. We own beach side just a few doors down and put up with a lot from this place . My thought is try to get along and enjoy it. Last night we found one of their patrons in our driveway passed out. Anyway, I do like the bands and love to dance. Tonight we were treated horribly and asked to move from our ok spot next to the speaker. The smokers had left the building for quite sometime. How were we to know!!!! A very rude staff let us know the table was occupied. The man with the long white hair in a ponytail began to swear at my husband. REALLY!! So uncalled for. We were in no way being rude to anyone!!! Thanks neighbor ! My advice is to go to a classier place. read more
