Tent rental at no charge due to unpredictable weather this weekend.
    Liza M.

To finish off 2025 with my last review before 2026 comes. This was the best decision both my husband and I made to choose this place as our wedding venue, which we were able to take a tour in January. Seeing how private with both views of mountains and ocean. We were totally convinced that Loulu Palms Estate was perfect to host the biggest day of our lives. The guests enjoyed the property and program we had planned. I'm grateful to Nickie and her staff to making this day special. Initally we were going to have the reception dinner on the lanai with awning decorated with lights to represent rustic night theme. But once Nickie and her team were aware of the rain storm that coming on the wedding weekend, she offered us to rent their covered tent 44x63 clear top tent with twinkle lighting with no additional cost as we paid to rent the lanai space. We agreed to the option as we weren't sure if weather will put a damper to our big day. But surprisely, it was sunny when I got to venue to get makeup/hair done, throughout the ceremony to the reception dinner till the end, very little sprinkle of rain occurred. I'm glad the tent set up worked out for us. The set up with the floral arrangement, which was modern boho theme I picked while working with Modern Elopement was gorgeous on pillars overlooking to beach, ocean. We even repurpose those arrangements on reception table with ti leaf as table runners with candles lights lit up. It was simple table set up, which did justice flowing with modern boho florals. The lawn space was huge to host larger weddings, but for our wedding group it was perfect size. It was little wet in some areas and ground little unstable but I managed to carry myself in my wedding dress. The bridal suite to get ready and dress was asthestic pleasing to the eye as seen in local wedding videography. I swear the AC blasting cool air made the room very cold that some part of me tried to avoid where it was blowing at. It was nice they had coat racks to hang both me and my matron of honor dresses. There was restroom in house for us to use away from outdoor restrooms wiht bidet and toiletries to use. Overall, my experience here at Loulu Palms was nothing but highly satisfying and very thankful we were able to have our micro wedding here given the date we requested. With the people I talked to about this venue, lot of people consider having a wedding here. Another thing is that venue is not one of those over-hype and overused wedding venues in Oahu. It is a private venue offering both ocean, mountain views, they have a vendor list, assist with planning wedding, and offers free parking too compared to those Waikiki hotels and downtown Cafe Julia. Thank you Loulu Palm Estate again and will recommend to those couples looking for venues!!!

    Toyota Tacoma Photo Booth!

Take us back! One year later, and we are still caught up in the moment we celebrated our wedding at Loulu Palm Estates. Nestled on O'ahu's North Shore, Loulu Palm offered us complete privacy--and yet didn't compromise on the sweeping views of Hawaii's vibrant sunsets and emerald mountain ridges. It was the perfect setting! While rentals must be booked directly through the venue, we found their wide-ranging inventory--chairs, tents, decor--both convenient and hassle-free. And also, completely customizable! With the help of Jordan from Love Letter Weddings, we integrated a Toyota Tacoma photobooth and cabana awnings over the ceremony seating--both concepts the venue team embraced wholeheartedly. We can't recommend working with Nickie and Loulu Palm enough!

We had our wedding here in May this year and we are so happy with how everything turned out! We booked the venue before getting to see it in person and we weren't disappointed. Nickie and Ashley make a great team and guided us through the process. Ashley was our DOC and she's amazing! I told her what my vision was and she helped bring it to life. I dropped off a box of decorations the day before and she did not text me one question on how I wanted everything placed. Walking into the venue the next day, everything was setup exactly how I envisioned even though I didn't leave any directions. On the wedding day, she made sure we stayed on schedule, guided us throughout the events, and even packed dinner and cake for us to enjoy the next day :) We used most of their recommended vendors from their website and are happy with all the choices we've made. Many of our guests kept talking about how friendly everyone was! We can't wait to return and check out the Loulu Palm plant that we planted during our ceremony :)

Beautiful venue, awesome crew - we simply cannot ask for a better place to have our dream wedding because everything is just perfect

We were guests of a wedding here. The venue was gorgeous! A private beach, serene, and so much greenery. The weather was perfectly sunny and they had parasols during the wedding ceremony to block the sun if desired. The reception was held on the covered outdoor patio which was spacious.

I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Loulu Palms along with Nickie and Ashley. We had our wedding here 9/19/24 and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. From the very beginning (I booked them in September of 2023) they were extremely prompt with responses and any questions I had they were so helpful with answering. Nickie was wonderful throughout the entire process. The venue/ grounds speak for itself because come on you can see how incredibly gorgeous it already is but yet somehow they found a way to make it even more stunning and made my wedding vision come to life. They have everything you need to rent and could want, and if they don't they can easily direct you to where you can. They made everything from rehearsal, to set up, to day of so incredibly easy and smooth. I 10/10 recommend them and would get married here all over again if I could. Now onto Ashely. I COULD NOT AND WOULD NOT HAVE made it through my wedding week/ day without her. From our first conversation on the phone while I was deciding which day of coordinator to go, we clicked immediately. Whenever I reached out with a mini crisis or question through out the entire process she was so quick to respond and was so incredibly helpful no matter what it was about. I was able to be fully present and enjoy every single second of our wedding because I knew she was there handling everything. She understood my vision and executed it PERFECTLY. You can tell some people are made to be in this industry and she with her beautiful soul is absolutely one of them. She's such a gem of a human. I promise you, you will NOT regret going with Nickie, Ashely, and the entire Ohana at Loulu Palm. We cannot wait to go back and visit.

We had the perfect wedding at Loulu Palm Estate December 21, 2024! This was a destination wedding for us, and I wish we could go back and relive this day forever. The venue is beautiful, and Nickie was great with communication and so helpful with discussing the venue and equipment rentals, which had everything we needed for the best esthetics! To our amazing coordinator Ashley, we just would like to thank her for all her hard work and making our day so smooth. She also was there for me throughout the whole wedding planning and we bonded for sure, and she would reassure me that everything was going to work out and of course it did. We love her bubbly/fun personality, positive vibe, hard work and dedication on making our wedding perfect. So we are blessed to have met these amazing people and a special spot in Hawaii that we now have so many incredible memories at. We still have our guest raving about our wedding, and telling us it was the best wedding they have been too! I would highly recommend this wedding venue and team to anyone looking to have a beautiful and fun wedding experience.

We got married at Loulu Palm on September 14th 2024 and it was everything we dreamed of...and then some! From the first moment we stepped foot on Loulu we knew it was the one for us. But that was just the beginning- because shortly after meeting Nickie, we then met with Ashley (the best wedding coordinator on planet earth). Again, after just a couple minutes of chatting with her, we knew she was such a perfect fit for us and felt like we had already known her for years. So it wasn't even a question for us- but if it is for you- my advice would be to just do it. Without Ashley, our special day would not have even come close to how perfect everything was. Not to mention all the weeks and months leading up to it- I love how she always kept it real with us throughout the entire process (with timelines, vendor recommendations, design, layout, cost, etc), but with the most warmth and grace one could possibly have. Ashley is now our dear friend and we cannot wait to come back to visit one of our favorite places. 10/5 stars on both Ashley and Nickie and Loulu Palms!!!!

Loulu Palm Estate is such a romantic and stunning venue. It's a gorgeous, secluded location with everything you need to plan your wedding. As photographers it makes navigating the wedding day so convenient because everything is happening in one place. You get a gorgeous sandy beach, a beautiful lawn area for your ceremony and reception, and the venue includes a bridal suite which makes it so convenient for couples and vendors. We absolutely love shooting here!

Such a beautiful venue! Due to our wedding being a destination, we were able to see the venue for the first time until the rehearsal and WOW, it was spectacular. Nickie was our contact thought the whole process and she was very responsive via email. She was able to answer all our questions and make all the last minute changes for us with ease. This venue exceeded all of our expectations and we could not be happier with our choice of venue. We highly recommend Loulu Palm for a gorgeous wedding ceremony and reception.

I could not have found a better place to have our wedding at. The venue was beautiful since we arrived. Greenery started since the gate with flowers everywhere and the sound of the wave! I'm not going to lie I burst out in tears when we walked throw the back doors and I saw the whole thing in person for the first time!! From booking to planning to the actual day everything was smooth and stress free. We were on a tight budget and Ashley made it possible to still have a wedding in paradise and not burn a whole in our pockets. She made it so easy and fun. When we got there the day off even though we were running a bit late she made me fell calm and relaxed she kept telling me not to worry and that she had everything covert and she sure did!! We had a whole room to get ready the room was a good size and it was just me getting ready in it. It did have AC which was PERFECT! One thing I would recommend it use the whole day! We had it from 11 am to 11 pm but didn't start until 4 pm so I would say have an early ceremony so you don't have to rush anything and just enjoy the time! We had the following Vendors: Bartender: Recommend by Ashley Issac (He was the BEST and every one loved him) DJ: David Asing (I was a little upset with him because he messed up our first dance but we just went with it. I'm sure there was just some miscommunication he was pretty basic but it was good for the cheap price, we also got the fire dancers and drum players with him which were GREAT but they were 2 hours late and even though we paid for 15 min I'm positive they weren't even there for 10 min, but over all the guys were great and our guest LOVED the surprise. Catering: Keneke's Bluesky catering(also in the recommendation from Ashley) (I have not express how AMAZING THE FOOD WAS!!!! And not to mention within our budget!! I had made so many changes and Carmela was the one who helped me every step of the way!! They even let us take the left overs home and the staff was great!! Seriously everyone kept telling us how this was the only wedding they had every gone to that had GREAT food!! We had the following; Keneke's "Sit Down Serve" Wedding Special 1 Meat Choice: Hibachi White Meat Chicken 4 Pupu Choices: 1. Shoyu Poke 2. Mango Chicken Skewers 3. BBQ Pork Skewers 4. Shrimp Cocktail 1 Salad Choice: American Iceberg (can we get Ranch with this) 1 Bread/Roll Choice: Traditional Butter Rolls 2 Starch Choices: 1.Garlic Red Potatoes 2. Yakisoba Wedding Day of Coordinator: Ashley Fennell (AMAZING) Wedding Officiant: Kalona Ortiz, she was great and I was able to create the whole ceremony from drafts she gave me. Also for a good price Cake: A Cake Life, the cake was a little more expensive than what I was hopping for especially since it was a small 2 tier cake. BUT it was so worth it and they got it SPOT ON to what the picture I had send them and the flavor was ALL there besides me only getting ONE bite for the picture it was amazing and everyone kept saying so. We had the (1) 2 tier cake small serves 20-30 Round 6" vanilla chocolate marble cake with chocolate cream and fresh raspberry filling Round 8" yellow butter cake with fresh strawberry cream filling. Shades of teal smooth-ish/ stucco-ish buttercream icing We kept it super simple and didn't do much decorating as the location itself was enough! Don't worry so much about the materialism or decorations just focus on the love in the air and having your loved ones there to celebrate your love!!

We attended my family friend's destination wedding here and the estate is so very beautiful! The ceremony was held on the grassy field right next to the beach! Such a beautiful view and we were greeted by a beautiful mosaic hearts shaped like a tree to sign our names, followed by a beautiful sign asking us to enjoy their unplugged ceremony without our cameras and cell phones while we also enjoy some snacks and iced tea, lemonade and water! We headed towards the outdoor seating and could see the beach from our seats and it was a beautiful day to have a wedding! After the ceremony, appetizers were served as well as photos being taken of different groups who attended the wedding. Dinner was catered by Memoirs on the porch of the house! The food was delicious, buffet style and there was dancing as well as a photo booth and open bar available. It was a dream wedding!

Beautiful view epic place and tons of memory

I can not say enough how beautiful my wedding was not only is this place an all in one but you get aloha from people who truly care. I can't believe how easy my destination wedding of 90 guests was on a budget, they not only accommodated everything I wanted but this place made it easy to be a beautiful experience . I can not repeat myself enough when I say BOOK ASHLEY FENNELL as your day of coordinator she Is THE BEST person ! makes everything easy, knows what the hell she is doing and does it easily she made my day the best and did it with ease and made me want to take her with me ! She is family now and I hope anyone else experiences what I did , this place is beautiful, easy& earth loving and the people who come with will literally make your life !

The more we worked with her, the more we began to feel at ease that everything would turn out perfectly. She guided us tremendously and answered all of our questions in a timely and communicative manner. We truly felt blessed to have her. And of course, the day of the wedding went so smoothly thanks to the entire Sunset Ranch staff. All of their coordinators were on top of their responsibilities, and everything ran seamlessly. Our family and friends had a wonderful time, and as a cherry on top, the venue was so beautifully decorated--it's something my wife and I will never forget. Thank you, Sunset Ranch!

The hall is really big, so it fit all of our family and friends comfortably without feeling packed or stressful. Everything felt welcoming as soon as we walked in, and it gave us the space we needed to come together for something that meant a lot to all of us. It just made the whole day feel a little easier to handle. Setting everything up was actually way smoother than I expected, especially since we had family and friends handling everything while we were still at my dad's funeral service. By the time we arrived, so much was already done, and the space made it easy for everyone to jump in and help without things getting crowded or confusing. The layout worked really well for decorations, food, and seating, and nothing felt rushed or disorganized. It helped take a lot of pressure off us during a really emotional day. During the reception, everything just flowed naturally and felt really comfortable. We had music, food, and performances, and the space handled all of it without any issues. People were able to move around, talk, and just be together while still honoring my dad in a meaningful way. It didn't feel chaotic at all, which made a big difference. On top of all that, the value for what you get is honestly really solid. For the size of the space and how much it can handle, it felt worth it and not overpriced compared to other places. Being able to host a large, meaningful event without feeling limited or stressed made it even more worth it for us. Overall, I'm really thankful we chose this venue and would definitely recommend it to anyone planning something important.

Dole Plantation - Chocolate dipped Dole Whip

    Dole Plantation

Be a pineapple: Stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside…read more Visiting Dole Plantation was honestly a strange mix of fun, beauty, history, and a little bit of emotional whiplash. Which, to be fair, is probably the most historically accurate way to experience a place with the word "plantation" in the name. On one hand, it's genuinely beautiful. The grounds are lush, the air smells incredible, and the pineapple everything is incredibly delicious. The Dole Whip absolutely lived up to the hype, and the gardens, train ride, and giant maze had this cheerful old Hawai'i roadside attraction energy that felt charming instead of overly polished. It was wholesome. I even saw a few adorable cats being fed by the workers. There is also this underlying awareness the entire time where your brain quietly goes, "...wait." Why? Because plantations are not cute historically. The word itself carries a lot of weight tied to colonization, labor exploitation, and the reshaping of Hawai'i for corporate agriculture and tourism. So walking through a place that's simultaneously serving pineapple soft serve while existing within that history creates a peculiar emotional duality that's hard to ignore. Honestly, I appreciated that feeling. Not because the history is good, because it absolutely isn't, but because places should make us think a little. Hawai'i is stunning but it's also layered and complicated and visiting somewhere like this becomes more meaningful when you acknowledge both the beauty and the discomfort instead of pretending one cancels out the other. The experience ended up feeling less like, "Yay pineapples!" and more like a reminder that travel is best when you let yourself enjoy the present while still respecting the history underneath it. Note: I totally destroyed a Dole Whip because personal growth, historical awareness, and pineapple soft serve with fresh pineapple can intertwine, okay?
