Vanessa has this amazing ability to really listen, understand what you're dreaming of, and then somehow elevate it into something even more beautiful. She tuned into our vision so quickly, and what she delivered was beyond anything we could have imagined. The level of detail, care, and artistry she brought to our day was unreal. Working with La Flor was truly one of my favorite experiences during our wedding planning. It's been a year since our wedding and I forgot to write this review until now. We used La Flor as our florist and Vanessa was such a great person to work with. I had so many flower suggestions and she made my vision come to life, and she had such great ideas that it was fun to talk flowers with her. She did what I wanted, but went above and beyond and the arrangements turned out so well. She is such an artist. Her staff day of also did such a great job, and they had to deal with our event rental company dropping the ball and setting up late (and badly), but they made it work out so well and we were so grateful for them. Everyone raved about the job they did with the flowers, and my local relatives all wanted arrangements to bring home since they were so stunning. Vanessa and her team were PHENOMENAL! From the get-go Vanessa was a stellar communicator and and she was so helpful in giving me ideas/helping me to envision the layout for my wedding ceremony/reception! I'm not someone who knows that much about flowers so it was incredibly helpful having her talk me through ideas/do a walk through of the space with us! I basically told her our color scheme and Vanessa just ran with it! Our wedding was on 12/29/19 at Waimea Valley and seriously Vanessa and her team knocked it out of the park! Everything was just STUNNING! From our arch, to the hakus and bouquets, to the table arrangements, hanging greenery chandelier and special hair pieces for me/our moms- it was all utterly gorgeous and so thoughtfully done! Vanessa and her team did it all - including just cheering us on and making us feel so special! As someone who doesn't care that much about flowers, the florals were one of my favorite parts of our wedding because of the AMAZING job that Vanessa did! Love Note from the BRIDE: Nick and I planned a destination wedding for 115 of our closest friends and family. While I was hoping for sunshine, planning for a possible light sprinkle... what I, our guests, and our vendors did not plan or expect.. was for-- was a MONSOON on our wedding day! I don't mean to say it just rained... I mean, it literally POURED. There were even flash flood warnings! Every single guest and vendor was drenched from head to toe. They say rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck, and ours started this day with our vendors. Vanessa and the entire La Flor team, I don't even know where to start, except by saying THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! You worked in the rain to set up our beautiful altar, and YOU MADE ALL OF MY FLOWER DREAMS COME TRUE!! From the moment I met Vanessa, we instantly clicked, and I knew she was going to be the only person I would trust to bring my flower vision to life, AND SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! I sent her my Pinterest and inspiration, we discussed flowers, colors, and my overall vision for the space, and I left it up to her creative mind to do the rest! She worked with my wedding planner Carly through the finances and smaller details, but I honestly have no words to express just how THANKFUL I am to have met her!! And a HUGE shoutout to Leila @Kualoa Ranch who referred me to her! WHAT A BLESSING! Because our venue was remote, the first time I would see everything, including the altar, my bouquet and my flower crown, was at the venue... and OMG, I was speechless. I was in love and over the moon with EVERYTHING her and her team touched!!! The monstera leafs, the large dahlias, and of course, THE KING PROTEAS, my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES!! I was practically in tears with how overjoyed I was. FLOWERS MAKE SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE on a wedding day!!! My bouquet was so perfectly unique and beautiful. It was wrapped in ribbon and it was romantic and bold all in one. I was SO excited post-ceremony to switch from my veil to my FLOWER CROWN which matched my bouquet perfectly!! It was absolutely stunning. I felt like a queen all night!! Overall, from initial reach out and partnership with our wedding planner Carly, to planning, prep, execution and even follow up afterwards, our experience with Vanessa and the La Flor Team, was EXCEPTIONAL! I would 100% recommend!!! My only regret, is not being able to bring ALL of my florals back to the mainland with me. I had to leave them on Oahu, and that was heartbreaking!! VANESSA WE LOVE YOU!!!! The flowers on the arch were arranged and designed so perfectly, the bouquet literally made my wife cry when she saw it, and all the floral decorations on the tables and around the tent were gorgeous. Vanessa was an ABSOLUTE JOY to work with! Throughout our entire process she was thoughtful, transparent, and extremely responsive. We shared our vision and budget and she went above and beyond. We spoke with other florists and no one came close to our experience with Vanessa and La Flor. We had requested flowers that we're at the cusp of being out of season. Other florists shied away from our ask, but not Vanessa! She reassured us that she'd be able to source the flowers and wow did she deliver! The day of our wedding: She arrive at our venue with a huge smile and her vehicle full of the most gorgeous, fragrant, lush flowers. The seasonal flowers we specially requested were GORGEOUS! We were pretty meticulous and specific about my wife's bouquet and Vanessa absolutely NAILED IT. All the details were done perfectly. We had requested a flower crown for a horse we had at our wedding and it was delicate and elegantly done. While other florists had concerns of their flowers wilting in the Hawaiian heat, Vanessa was absolutely positive her flowers would be fine. I'm now certain it's because is the quality of her florals!! Vanessa and the La Flor team - THANK YOU for being such a huge part of our special day!! We had our wedding at Sunset Ranch and the flower arrangements were absolutely beautiful and stunning! They repurposed and decorated our reception with the same flowers from our ceremony. Major props and kudos to the event planner and designers. Due to a sudden date change, our original flowers were no longer available, but La Flor came through with excellent alternatives that made our special day beautiful. STUNNING! I can't rave about Vanessa enough! The setup was amazing and our guests are still talking about it! The flowers were prettier than I could have even dreamed! It was absolutely perfect in every way, it was my absolute favorite part of my wedding day (aside from marrying my husband!) As background, our wedding just a little over a month ago. My husband and I hired a full service wedding planned. She was essentially supposed to support us with all aspects of the wedding because am in grad school. And frankly, no one has a life in grad school or time. Vanessa was kind and cordial to us before we hired her. However, once we signed the contract it was another story. She seemed unprofessional and really uninterested in hearing any of my or my (now) husband's ideas concerning our own wedding. She told how she normally does things, and if I had an opinion, would tell me I do not know what I am talking about. She was so rude to my parents on multiple occassions that they basically stopped participating in the planning because they were tired of being berated by her. I sent her a few emails asking to do what a friend had done, she would simply not be responding because she does not follow what "non-professionals" do. My bridesmaids also shared, and even my great aunt, that she was rude to guests during the wedding. Her profiles on The Knot was great but now I have to wonder if they were fake. I am disappointed with her for making what should have been a memorable time for me planning my wedding so stressful. I feel a real obligation to let other brides know how she is. read more

Vanessa has been nothing but helpful the entire process of our wedding planning. She is very fast at email and has the most beautiful designs. She understood my design and my dream for our wedding, even though we had only exchanged a few emails. She is super easy to work with and I love her creativity. Our wedding was to be on 6/1/2020, but due to the world wide crisis corona virus, we had to cancel our wedding. Vanessa was so kind and understood that canceling a wedding that was planned over a year in advance was so stressful on us.
