Lena Teboul is the definition of exceptional. She is thorough, thoughtful, and resourceful. Her eye…read morefor style and use of design inspiration are excellent. And, her connections and understanding of people are well-suited for her profession. Without a doubt though, her standout strengths are her tenacity, assertiveness, and client-oriented advocacy. We hired Moana Belle and started planning an elaborate destination wedding nine months before the COVID-19 crisis. We selected a place with special meaning to us, and proceeded to invest time and money as we worked with Lena to carefully curate a once-in-a-lifetime experience for 64 of our friends and family. Throughout that time, Lena and Moana Belle were great. They understood our style and priorities. Their planning and personalized recommendations demonstrated a spot-on understanding of us, our venue, and of tasteful design. Their coordination with our venue and vendors was seamless. Their communication was well-balanced and organized. And as I later learned, Lena frequently went to bat for us behind the scenes. As we and our guests packed our bags and began traveling half-way around the world, uncertainty percolated surrounding COVID-19. Lena helped us promptly consult with our venues, vendors, and guests, and to seek counsel from government authorities. It was the worst possible timing. Just one day later, and things would've likely been entirely different. After us and most of our guests arrived in Hawaii, and after nine months of painstaking planning, panic began to grip the nation. Against a backdrop that shifted by the minute, we were forced to make impossible decisions. But Lena was there for us every second. She stood by our side as vendors and venues were all over the board; their decision-making ran the gamut from thoughtful and interactive to frantic and opaque--often changing by the hour. An event we had all spent months meticulously planning was entirely upended. And a significant sum of money was at risk of being completely lost. On the fly, Lena helped us plan an entirely new wedding--only to plan another one or two after that. I like to equate her work as that of a chess master crushing a game while the chessboard constantly moved and the pieces simultaneously transformed. She poured every ounce of herself into saving our wedding. Her ingenuity and perseverance were beyond remarkable. In the end, our wedding was more beautiful and more meaningful than we could have possibly imagined. We will forever be in her debt.

We were so happy with their vendors from the catering to the decor , everything was top notch quality. They also have so much experience and knowledge we felt so confident. Worth every penny ...in my daughters words " it was her perfect dream wedding !" We are forever grateful to you Moana Events !!

Jennifer responded to us in a timely manner and was able to answer all of our questions. She was very professional and so sweet when we met in person on the day of the wedding. We enjoyed working with her and appreciate all of her help! Overall, my husband and I did very little since Modern Elopement was able to take care of everything. We just took care of our attire, travel, and bringing certain documents for the marriage license agent. We got engaged in Feb 2022 and eloped in June 2022 during our trip to Hawaii. We chose the Four Seasons package and had 13 people in our group (including me and my husband). They provided several questionnaires to help us choose what we wanted from a selection of vendors they curated (ie. photographer, music, course menu, florals, type of wedding officiant, etc.). You just have to choose what you want, and they take care of the rest. Our photographer, videographer, officiant, hair/makeup artist, and everyone else involved with our wedding were all friendly and professional. They were also able to make accommodations such as adding a videographer to do a full ceremony video along with the included highlight clip, dietary restrictions, time changes, and more. Just ask! Highly recommend this company to plan your elopement/micro wedding. Give yourself some peace of mind and choose Modern Elopement.

I reached out to Halu Flowers starting August 2021 and up till our wedding in October 2022, she communicated with us the whole time. We ordered the arch flowers, 6 bouquets, 6 boutonniere, 4 lays, 2 small bouquet for the ceremony chairs/tossing flowers. We repurposed everything to be used again during the reception and her & her team did amazing!! All of our guests loved the flowers and I also preserved the bouquet flowers as well after the wedding (used Modern Bouquet Preservation btw). Takako gave me instructions on how to keep them fresh after the wedding as well up until giving the flowers to them. Takako is super knowledgeable and thoughtful and you can definitely see it through their work. With relatively limited input she managed to truly capture my girlfriend's personality in her floral work. Despite its size (the penthouse suite at the O'ahu Four Seasons), Fong's work made the location feel intimate and ours. We ended up using some of the flowers in our engagement shoot the next day (she said yes!), and they held up throughout our stay. Listen, Fong isn't cheap, but this is one of those "you get what you pay for" kind of deals. Beautiful craftsmanship with tons of initiative. If I wouldn't be getting married on the other side of the world I would have zero hesitation to partner with Fong again. I'm attaching some samples of Fong's work for us. Enjoy!

Besides meeting her once for our consultation she stayed in constant contact with me throughout the whole wedding process through phone or email. I really wanted to focus my time and energy on making the reception hall look magnificent and from the very beginning she just got my whole concept and executed things exactly the way I wanted. She had me send her examples of bouquets I liked, flowers I liked, flower colors, I sent her a sample of what I wanted my reception to look like and a sample of my invitation, everything possible so that she could really get my theme-- and boy did she get it! I gave her my budget and she worked with it and I got everything that I wanted (think calalillies, monzenita branches, philenopsis orchids, high vases, low vases, lots of bling, etc.). At the last minute I even said that I would like some sort of an arch for my ceremony and I told her I only had $500 for it and she said she could do it and in the end that was the best looking archway I've ever seen with monzenita branches with strands of white orchirds, strands of jewels, and strands with little glass ornaments with a single white orchid in them hanging down from the archway. EVERYONE, and I mean everyone, said that the floral arrangements were breathtaking and that everything looked so posh and luxuirous; that they've never been to a reception like ours before and I attribute this to her designs! At the end of everything I told her that I truly felt like she was my hanai mom and I meant it. She was a dream come true and anyone would be blessed to work her!
