He promised to come by at 730am and arrived on time! Wut?? Yup! Set up took 30 min (to haul everything up to the pool deck and put everything together) and ryan came back for the breakdown at the agreed time. Ultra professional, respectful, and reasonable. Did a 20 x 40 tent/canopy for a family party and got good service at a reasonable price and the setup guys were courteous and very careful. The setup was on a sealed stone paved pool deck that is easily scratched and our resident manager is very fastidious (a good thing!). I provided them with some material to cover the ends of the poles and they were very careful not to damage the deck or surroundings. I am the type of person that likes to talk to a person when I call a company and while I was a bit concerned with the the initial phone contact (had to leave messages most of the time) DO NOT let that deter you as they do follow up and follow through. My group was planning a small birthday party for my niece and were running into many obstacles! Our family reached out to Ryan and his awesome crew and they did above and beyond what we requested! Horrible, unreliable and inconsiderate! 15 minutes after our scheduled pick up time I called them and they said the driver was 15 to 20 minutes away which was already irritating. We waited almost TWO HOURS after the scheduled pick up time for them to pick up the tables. And they still weren't there. No answer from the delivery girl. NEVER AGAIN!! They were professional and came early to set items up. Price included set up and delivery. Ane was very friendly and professional on the phone while I made reservations. This was our first time renting at all. Yelp help make my decision especially with everyone review which does make a difference. Staff is great and very friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the hidden fees. I thought I paid everything. Then they charged me another fee for service. So please be aware. Even though you paying for the travel you still have to pay service fee. I had to change the time for earlier and they were friendly enough accommodate my request. Their employee Zach had the best customer service ever. Being by himself and helping set up everything. I would recommend them for rentals but make sure you ask for the whole total so you know what and how much you paying. read more

We needed to find a rental of 50 chairs, 10 tables, and a tent five days before a party. Other places were either booked or had some things but not all. We were lucky they could accommodate us in such a short notice. We didn't care too much about the price as we were in dire needed of supplies but according to their website the prices seem average in comparison to other places. We ended up not getting a tent and only tables and chairs. At our delivery, they did a great job of placing it to the side as we decided to do set up versus paying $50. They did however forget to give us 50 chairs instead we had 45. I gave them a call and they apologized and said the driver would come back with the 5. He did and Laura gave us a call back saying we could keep the supplies overnight as for their mistake of not giving 50 chairs. And overnight was an option for us but $99 fee was out of our budget. Overall, I would recommend them to family and friends knowing they take care of their customers. Special shoutout to Laura!! She is amazing at being flexible and accommodating for our constant changes through email and phone calls. read more

These guys saved the party! My wife and I were planning are own wedding reception and were on a major budget. Our plan was just a tent in an open field, some good food, and pandora playing on a bluetooth speaker. To our surprise her uncle went out and got us a DJ, only problem now is our reception is going to be way up at the top of Makakilo at the old Camp Timberline we are going to have great music playing and nowhere to dace! I did call a well known rental company and was turned down right away because it was to close to the date and they didn't want to take the job. At that point I thought the party was going to be a flop until a good friend told me to try this new company Honolulu Party Rentals. I called and told them the situation I was in and they said no problem! They can set up exactly what I needed, even with the short notice. These guys where able to bring up a 12 x 12 dance floor (bigger or smaller if i needed) all the way up to the very top of Makakilo and set it up in a grass field. This floor was solid!! It felt like this dance floor was installed on a concrete slab! I work construction and don't know how they got this thing so solid. Nobody needed to dance in the dirt or grass, I was so happy that I was able to have my first dance with my wife on a real floor even though it was a outdoor reception. Once that music started playing everyone was on the floor, I know this party would not have been the success that it was if Honolulu Party Rentals didn't come through like they did! On top of everything else these are great local guys with awesome attitudes. I had some callbacks from other rental companies with out of state numbers, lets keep the money here in Hawaii! Knowing what these guys offer they are going to totally change the way I throw parties, I don't need to shop around for anything, these guys are the only ones I'll be using for all future events. We got married on Oahu, our wedding had about 45 people. We came from out of state and Honolulu party rentals and Ryan were a life saver. Our prior rental company didn't follow through with all our requests and then rented all our requested items to someone else. We were in a bad position with our wedding being 3 days after we arrived. I cannot stress enough how much Ryan went so far over and above. Was able to get us things short notice and took care of several things we needed. He took great care of us and was considerate of the fact it was our wedding. For any couples planning a wedding make sure you lock your vendors down especially your rental items with lots of notice. We messed up partially and a big part was those other vendors didn't care and didn't bother to call or email to say all that we wanted wasn't available.
