I had an outdoor wedding and everything down to the wire was pretty much a lā carte. I met with several other tent companies but this one was the winner. The place looked a little sketch, even going into their office on the second floor above workers doing laundry of what must've been millions of table covers/napkins/etc. I had a strict budget and laid out everything I wanted. I don't recall her name but she helped give me options. Important details to have in mind before your appt: Venue date, place, budget and number of guests. Then she can help work her magic. After meeting a couple times, we finally decided on the layout of the venue based on the blue prints she conjured up. I was satisfied and ecstatic. Unfortunately I wasn't able to fit chandelier lights in my budget so I settled with a generic type, which I ended up regretting. Not living up to my name, I should've took a picture of the light that wasn't on during the whole wedding on one side of the tent and should've said something. But in the high of the moment, on our day, I ignored it.. I did a first preview before my big day and noticed the tables were "buss up," but hey, it did it's job and was covered anyways. Not too much gold options, specifically champagne gold was my main wedding color, but no bigs, I chose something similar. Overall, I'd recommend this company for your big event needs! Joni and Watanabe Floral were amazing to work with for our destination wedding. We were looking for a florist that was in our budget and they definitely were. Joni was very responsive via e-mail and through phone calls when e-mails were too tiring to write because I had so many questions. The bridal and bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful and they came out just like how I asked Joni for them. The ti leaf leis and orchid leis were all beautiful. For the reception, we repurposed the bridesmaids' bouquets and used them as the decoration for the sweetheart table and it was still beautiful. We also ordered monstera leaves and loose orchids for the reception tables. All of the flowers that we ordered for our wedding day were beautiful and fresh. I also ordered an all-white-flower haku lei for the reception which was beautiful. I read some reviews on here complaining that the ties Watanabe uses for the haku leis are plastic or something and not actual ribbons. No one even sees it--everyone focuses on the flowers. And my haku was beautiful. Watanabe was also very punctual when it came to delivering the flowers to where they needed to be; communication was excellent with them. They were also very patient when I had to constantly send them revision after revision. We would like to express our disappointment with the services that we have received from Accel Rentals. We are required to rent our wedding items from Accel Rentals because our venue, Sunset Ranch, has an exclusive partnership with them. We first started our wedding planning process back at the end of 2020. As we were aware that Accel would be our biggest ticket wedding vendor, we really wanted to get a quote from them right away so that we can plan around our wedding budget. Our wedding planner attempted to contact them at the beginning of 2021. However, we never got a response from them until late 2021/early 2022, which was about less than 5 months before our event date on 04/22/2022. We were honestly very concerned that we would be unable to secure them on our wedding day because we did not hear back from them during all this time. Throughout the process, communication with them was really difficult. We had some trouble submitting our payment, and we were put in a loop between the sales department and the customer service department because none of them were able to troubleshoot their payment system. After submitting our first deposit two months out before our wedding day (which is a super tight timeline), we had to reduce a lot of items on our rental list because our guest list was reduced. For some reason, each time they sent us a new adjusted quote, we would always catch a mistake in the new quote. Whether it would be charging us for extra tables and seven hundred more forks than we needed, or charging us different amounts of setup and breakdown fees for each table and chairs. Furthermore, each time we add/remove something in the rental order, something else in the quote would be messed up, and it didn't help that it takes them forever to respond. We have done our due diligence of reading every single line item on their invoices, and I really hope that other couples aren't affected by their lack of attention to detail. On the wedding day, our coordinator told us that a lot of items were not delivered to the venue. We didn't have enough plates or utensils for all of the guests, no high-chair for the infant of our guests who traveled all the way from Japan, different sized tables that were definitely too big for our tent size, and delivering the grill at 5 PM which delayed our entire dinner service and wedding timeline. Because of this, my husband and I didn't have enough time to eat our dinner, no dancing time or leisure time at Sunset Ranch as guests were restless and on edge from waiting for dinner to begin. The response from Accel Rentals to the mishaps of their service is that they would just give a refund and that many of the mistakes made were due to a "lack of staff". This demonstrates a severe lack of ownership for what has happened and just refunding guests does not solve the issues at hand. The setup and breakdown team from Accel Rental was not set up for success and that is due to poor leadership and communication. Proper systems in place would be able to mitigate the mishaps that we faced leading up to and on our wedding day and also for many other couples and coordinators that have to scramble last minute to make up for the inattentive care from the rental company. If you can avoid this company then do so at all costs. It is unfortunate for the venues that are locked to this rental company that offers such poor service. This rental company would definitely damage the reputation of the beautiful venues on Oahu. read more

Okay this is a legitimate review which is long overdue. I booked Accel to setup chairs with sashes and an arch with drapery for my destination beach wedding. I called and spoke to someone to setup the arrangements and payment and they emailed my invoice. On my wedding day, riding the limo to the ceremony, I get a call from family and the videographer that they can't find any wedding chairs setup at the ceremony site. I'm in panic mode and call Accel and get an answering machine, then my maid of honor calls too. STILL NOTHING. At least the officiant was at the ceremony site. It may not have turned out how I imagined it to be, but we made it work at the last minute. Literally. The following day we went to Accel to get our refund. We got an apology from one of the girls that said she felt terrible. When I asked for an explanation she told me that one of the new girls that took my order entered the WRONG YEAR for the reservation. My wedding date is pretty easy...it's 1-7-17... My guests stood throughout my ceremony and I didn't say my vows with the arch. Sad this unexpected issue happened on my wedding day. It's done and I'm married and despite it all it was still the best day ever. I just want to review to prevent this type of stupid mistake from happening again. read more

We rented the clear tent, chairs, tables, and white dance floor for an outdoor wedding. For the most part everything turned out great. My only concern was the white dance floor. I was surprised to see condition and installation of the floor. There were lifted corners in some areas which concerned me. It wasn't the polished dance floor we were expecting which we originally requested the white floor covering. Unfortunately we were told close to the wedding date it was not available for rental which I believe would have made a big difference in the aesthetics. read more

We did a DIY wedding (really it was an elopement disguised as a seaside dinner party!). I felt like the entire set up was straight out of Pinterest! I was so happy with the rental items. They set up EVERYTHING on their own (including stringing cafe lights and running electrical to the lights) which took all the stress of set up off me. We had delivery around 10 a.m. (for a 4 p.m. wedding), and then they came back the next day to take it all down. Set-up took about 2 hours (we had plenty of time). PRO: They have everything you need, including linens, coffee cups & all the little things you would easily forget about. They are a big enough company that you know they will have the quantities you need in competition with everyone else on Oahu throwing a party the day of the event. (Another rental company I called for a quote said they were fully booked). They set up EVERYTHING (including stringing up cafe lights from palm trees) & come take it all down the next day. They are a 24-hour operation so if you need same-day take down they can manage it. I thought the bill would have been more expensive, so I was surprised at how reasonable the costs were. The website shows all the catalogue options, but you can always ask if they have something in a different metal or color. You can tinker with your order (add, subtract) items right up to the day before. My event was WAY out in the middle of nowhere & they didn't bat an eye about delivery to the location. They offer a military discount (initially I didn't get it so they credited it back to me after the event). CON: Not too many, honestly! The warehouse packed the wrong silverware (they sent silver, we ordered rose gold) on the truck & I didn't figure it out until the guys were halfway through stringing up the lights. Thankfully I had budgeted enough time that one of them went back to the warehouse to get the right set! We rented a more expensive farm table, with the intent to keep it "naked" (no tablecloth). One of the tables had a HUGE deep white scratch down it that was very noticeable on the dark wood. Since they had to get the right silverware I asked to change out the tables & they happily did. The initial email quote for my event took a little more response time than I thought (like a week before they responded to me), but after calling to check on it they got back to me right away. After the quote was in the system it was easy to add items & had great timely responses. On Oahu you often don't have a lot of options. Accel was awesome & I'm thrilled with the customer service both in the planning & the guys on site who did the set up/take down. read more

Bitter sweet when dealing with accel for my destination wedding PROS: Super nice over the phone. Spoke with a rep named Kim the day of our wedding for last minute requests. I called multiple times and she called me back every time to figure something out. She was polite and professional and actually did what we asked for. workers onsite were nice and they did a beautiful job with the ceiling drapes and the archway for the ceremony. The also came on time which is a big deal CONS: some of the table covers we rented were different sizes, one had a hole in the middle, and 2 were different textures of table clothes which did not match with the rest. I was planning my daughter's 1st birthday party for an intimate party of 40 at our home. I reached out to Accel Party Rentals & Design to see if they were available for our date and if they would site our home to see what would work best. Angel was our point of contact through the entire process and she was an absolute angel! Angel visited our home (how awesome!!) and we confirmed our rentals. She was fast, quick and very efficient. She was very accommodating and worked within our budget. Day prior, Accel delivered the tent, white resin folding chairs, banquet rounds, buffet tables, and keiki table and chairs (yes! they have tables and chairs specifically for the keiki!!) They were on time, polite and efficient. I originally had my pick up time for the rental equipment after the party concluded, same day, at 2:30pm, but I literally called them at 12:30pm (while the party was happening) to push the time back to 5:00pm - with no hassle! The rental items were all in great condition and even better than some other rental companies we've worked with. The staff from beginning to end always treated me with respect and graciousness - never pushy, never rude, and always accommodating. Had about 3-4 experiences with Accel Rentals within the last year half and I was not satisfied with all of them. Firstly, if you plan to rent tables (6' x 30" banquet table to be exact) for your event be sure to ask for plastic. The picture they list on their website is what they will provide you by default but the age of the tables are so old that the top is really ugly, and is full of splinters. Some of the table legs didn't even stay locked in place. Asking for plastic tables is better worth for your money and will save you time from trying to remove splinters from your hands. If you want pictures, scroll down and look for Christine E.'s review where she posted pictures of the tables or directly look at Accel's photo gallery. Secondly, the workers who came to set up the rentals were not friendly at all, especially this last experience this past Friday. They called me at 9:30 AM saying they were already on site (we told them specifically 10:30 AM) and the person I spoke to on the phone was nice to me. When I spoke to the same guy in person, he disrespected me thinking that I looked too young and didn't know what I was doing. When I explained where to set up the tents and where not to put it, all he did was stare at me and didn't respond. He then said "I'm just going to go speak to the janitor" and only listened to what the janitor said (I told him the exact same thing). I was so upset because he should have been coordinating with me since I was the one who planned the event and paid for the rental. Like every other reviewer, "you get what you pay for" is really the case for Accel. I had multiple experiences where they were either really late or really early on delivery and pick up times. They are never just on time. They also moved really slow just to set up one tent. Personally, I'm never going to go through Accel again because of the experience I got from that one guy. They're discriminating, disrespectful, unprofessional, and no customer should get treated like that for a service they're paying for. Setting up and taking down an event has never been easier! Heather was extremely patient and flexible with our last minute changes! We were changing our order up to the day before the event and not a lick of attitude thrown our way (much appreciated). I can't even begin to explain how quickly the Accel team moved in and out of our event. Their team was NOT understaffed and got the work done ASAP. With just a few short instructions, they placed down over 30 tents, 100+ chairs, and 50+ tables at lightning speeds. Additionally, the team was professional and respectful of our time and space. I've been doing events for about 14 years and if there is one thing that will ruin it for me it would be the care of the items that you rent. This is not the first time things were in bad shape but it's my first review about your company. It doesn't make sense to me to work so hard to beautifully decorate your party and the chairs, tables, linen are filthy with holes and stains. We had no time to wipe things down or cover holes and stains on the tablecloths when there is so much more other things that needed to be done. Many halls in Hawaii only give you a small window of time to set up. I was tempted to give each guest a baby wipes to clean their own chair. It was so bad. I have a few suggestions: 1. That each table cloth is inspected after washed for hole and stains BEFORE being rented out again 2. That individual covers are made for the chairs that are delivered and the renters can remove and replace the covers after done 3. That items are scrubbed, clean and inspected before being rented out again It's not fair to all of us who pay a lot of money for these things and i believe its not hard to make it right. People come to me all the time for referrals. I sadly can't refer this company unless i'm certain the goods will be great. We chose them for our wedding based on the Yelp reviews and our wedding planner recommendation but it has been such a pain to deal with them. It was very very difficult to communicate with them. Emails took forever, impossible to chat over the phone, never any excuse and more importantly not trustworthy at all. They kept on trying to rent us more expensive items and making mistakes in the quote that were always in their favor. They increased some prices without notice too. Party planning can be a really tough gig sometimes especially when you're working with a small budget! I was working on putting together Yelp Helps at Pacific Home for 450+ guests and as they're a furniture store there's no bar area. So that meant I needed to figure out all the things you take for granted at a ready made venue such as ice and trash cans. Well that's where Accel came into the picture. I looked up their website and I was really impressed because everything that they had was listed with prices and photos. Hallelujah! Someone who understands that people are busy and we just want to know what we're getting. After figuring out what I wanted to order I called up Accel and put in my order with Kathy. She's a total sweetheart and is very good about getting back to you if she misses your phone call. I ended up renting three giant coolers and ten 33 gallon trash cans from Accel for my event and this was definitely the way to go! $25 for the big 160 quart coolers and $5 per trash can. Much cheaper than buying them individually and I wouldn't have to worry about where I was going to store everything afterwards. I also paid $60 for delivery (drop-off & pick-up) of everything. At first I had to think about if it made sense to spend $60 but then I thought about how busy I was and how tired I'd be after the event and it ended up being money well spent. The service was great but one of my coolers didn't have a plug and it leaked water all over the place before we realized it. And my BF who set-up the coolers said that he thought they had a mildew smell and he had to scrub them out. I emailed Kathy about the broken plug and she gladly took off one of the coolers from my invoice. Even though my coolers weren't perfect I did appreciate that the delivery was made right on time and that Kathy is extremely professional to deal with. I'll definitely be using Accel again next time I've got a big par-tay to throw for the awesome Yelp community! read more

DON'T EVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I was so glad finding Accel Party Rental because the previous company I booked when out of business. I was first satisfied of how they were able to accommodate my needs being one month away from our wedding. The personnel I was working with was Kim and she was helpful. I requested for ALL WHITE DANCEFLOOR and noticed she would not reply to my email. With that being said, I called them several times to confirm my rentals and pick up/drop off time. Everything seem to be running smoothly. About 1 or 2 weeks before the wedding, I added background draping. Again, I did not get a reply from Kim so I decided to call and confirm. I ever called a week prior to confirm my two reservation. Comes my wedding day, I walked into my empty reception ballroom and noticed a BLACK and WHITE dancefloor. I was furious as I never wanted or requested a black and white dancefloor. And the draping?, there was no draping!!! I immediately got them on the phone and spoke to the President, Scott. He claims he did not know there was a draping with the order and it say we requested for Black and white. He even scrolled down to my emails claiming I asked for a black and white dancefloor. I did not want to look stupid so I let it go and wanted to deal with it once I get back to work. They couldn't do anything with the dancefloor because they had none available. But the draping? I've worked with other rental companies before for other events and all they want to do is tack on additional fees or tell you what you can't do. That's why I'm so thankful that I found Accel Party Rentals. For work I plan a lot of events for other companies/buildings/etc. and I'm always needing to rent tables, chairs, linens, podiums.... you name it. In the heat of planning these events, sometimes we forget things or need to wait for a final count to order things accordingly and Accel has always accommodated my last minute changes or orders. I have called in an order for tables, chairs, and linens at 9am in the morning and it will be delivered to me by 1pm the same day. The turn around and customer services is outstanding. Their staff is very accommodating, they work hard, and are always trying to work with you as a client. We are all human, so sometimes an item will be missing, but if this does happen, they will do everything they can to correct it. Sometimes the linens have creases (but as an event person... you always have a steamer on hand) or the chairs are a little dusty (wet rag will do the job) but these are all minor considering how much they help you out in the big picture. read more
