Tessa and her team are the best! We did partial planning and felt like we had support w/ vendor recommendations and answers to all our questions every step of the way. They will give it to you straight and are very honest in their opinions. On the day of our wedding, we didn't have to worry about anything and trusted Tessa to ensure everything ran smoothly. Tessa even helped to bring my wedding bouquet early for photos and her team figured out a last minute after party location for us when our original plans fell through. We're so happy we had Fred + Kate as our wedding planning team! read more

We hired Fred and Kate Events for our wedding at Lanikuhonua since the venue requires a licensed wedding planner. We chose their full-service package as this package included sourcing vendors for us, but hiring them turned out to be the biggest mistake of our wedding. 1. Subpar vendor sourcing The vendor recommendations were completely misaligned with our vibe and significantly overpriced. They provided only a single option per category with zero room for comparison. We ended up having to research, vet, and book almost all the other vendors ourselves to get the vibe we wanted at a much more affordable price point. 2. Day-of logistics & communication failure Despite asking for our bus driver's contact details in advance, the team did not coordinate with him. Our driver had to repeatedly call us directly on our wedding day while we were trying to get ready and enjoy the moment. When we brought this up to the team, the excuse given was simply, "Oh yeah, we have never worked with him before." As professional planners, coordinating with new vendors is the bare minimum expectation. 3. Rude and unprofessional attitude on the day A wedding planner should keep the atmosphere calm and positive. Instead, Tessa created unnecessary stress and hostility: a. Disrespectful to Our Officiant: Our officiant, a close friend who walked us through marriage preparation and flew all the way to Hawaii, politely asked Tessa a logistical question and was bluntly told, "Now is not the time to be asking these questions." Right before our march-in, she was openly talking rudely about him in front of our entire bridal party, killing the excitement and making everyone feel uncomfortable. b. Aggressive tone with groomsmen: During the groomsmen photoshoot, she snapped at one of the groomsmen for chewing gum, aggressively telling him: "Is that gum? You either spit it out or you swallow it." 4. Zero Accountability We hesitated to write a public review and reached out privately via email first to share our experience. Their response did not include a single apology or acknowledgment of their shortcomings. Every single external vendor we sourced and hired on our own was fantastic, but Fred and Kate Events consistently added tension, failed on coordination, and treated our closest friends and family with disrespect. Would totally look elsewhere for wedding coordination. read more

We rarely post reviews--unless something is truly awful (buyer beware) or absolutely exceptional. In the case of Fred and Kate Events, our experience was nothing short of exceptional--and that's putting it mildly. From start to finish, Tessa and her team made our wedding unforgettable. It's been seven months since our big day (February 23, 2025), and my wife, myself, our friends, and family still talk about it constantly. We laughed, cried, ate, drank, danced, socialized, and snapped countless photos. Most importantly, we were able to relax and truly enjoy ourselves. Fred and Kate Events had everything under control. The only thing we had to focus on was getting married--which is exactly how it should be. Tessa is phenomenal, and her staff is top-tier: professional, attentive, and kind. If you try to step in, they'll gently remind you to let them handle it--and trust me, you'll be glad you did. We can't thank them enough for managing every detail so we could stay present in the moment. That gift alone was priceless. read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Fred and Kate! From the very beginning, they were organized, easy to communicate with, and always made us feel heard and supported. We worked with Tessa and Maya from Fred and Kate Events to plan our wedding at Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch. From the moment we had our first call with Tessa, the owner, we knew we were in good hands. We had interviewed five other planning companies and ultimately decided to go with Tessa because of the connection we felt with her. Everyone else was qualified, but in an industry that can often feel very commercialized, where you're treated more like a price tag than a couple, it was important to us to have planners who truly cared about us and our vision. Over the course of a year and a half, we worked closely with Tessa and Maya, and they consistently exceeded our expectations. They were thoughtful, communicative, and always had our best interests and vision at heart. Every step of the process, from vendor recommendations to design details to the endless logistics, was handled with professionalism and genuine care. On the day of our wedding, the Fred and Kate Events team went above and beyond. We had a large wedding (126 people) with a lot of moving parts, and they managed it all seamlessly, coordinating vendors (25 of them!), keeping the timeline on track, and handling challenges behind the scenes so that we could stay fully present (you never think things will go off plan, but they do!). Special shoutout to Henry, who managed myself (the bride) and all the bridesmaids. He was outstanding - thinking of everything before we even realized we needed it. From helping pose us for photos, to making sure we always had water, to anticipating little details, he made us feel so cared for. And Midori was equally wonderful with the groomsmen, making sure they were on time, organized, and taken care of throughout the day. Together, they brought a level of calm and support that made the whole experience so much smoother. We are incredibly grateful to Tessa, Maya, Henry, Midori, Lauren and the entire Fred and Kate Events team for helping us create the wedding of our dreams. If you're looking for planners who are not only highly skilled but also genuinely invested in you as a couple, we cannot recommend them enough. read more

We were very lucky to have F&K facilitate our wedding. Tessa and her team are very well organized, and I like how straight forward Tessa is. She does not jump around the bush, she will tell you her opinions. The entire team at F&K are very responsive at keeping you informed. The day of our wedding was very smooth sailing. I love the details that Henry and Midori pay close attention to. Tessa's assistant, Ashley, who I met the day of my wedding was exceptional. She was very calm, extremely helpful, organized, and such a sweetheart. I wish I had met Ashley sooner during the planning phase because she is someone that could be your friend! Our evening was so fun, and we are so grateful that F&K could be a part of our day. read more

We did a lot of research with our wedding vendors, and the planner was one of the most important. I wasn't able to make the initial meeting, so my partner talked with Tessa initially and she was nice enough to schedule a call with me separately to make sure they would be a good fit. The extra consideration really showed me that they cared. We chose them a little over a year before our wedding and Tessa was amazing in answering our emails and meeting with us once a month to make sure we were on track. When vendors fell through, Tessa was able to recommend others, and by the end we had the best group of vendors to make our wedding dreams come through. It's clear that they have a lot of experience and knowledge about the various vendors on island, and because of this we had no issues or worries about vendors showing up on time on our wedding day. Over a hundred emails later, our wedding day came! Henry was with me in the bridal suite as Tessa and her team handled the arrangements at the venue next door (Lanikuhonua). Start to finish, I didn't have to worry about a thing. I had a really dry throat from talking so much during all our pre-wedding activities, and the team had so many different lozenges to choose from, and they were nice enough to share so that I didn't have a coughing fit during my vows. Midori, Maya, and Lauren were also great in escorting me during the various transitions, bringing refreshments to me while I took photos, and making sure I made the shuttle back to Waikiki at the end of the night. They were an absolutely amazing team, and so fun to hang out with. Highly recommend them and couldn't have asked for a better team. P.S. They have a podcast "Unveiling Paradise" which was a great way to stay up to date with the latest wedding trends, get some FAQs answered, and get to know some of the other vendors. Exceptional Wedding Planners - Tessa, Maya, and the Fred & Kate Team Tessa Gomes and Maya Kawano from the Fred & Kate wedding planning team are truly exceptional. I had a travel-themed wedding, and they were instrumental in bringing that vision to life. From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation -- professional, thoughtful, highly organized, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Leading up to the wedding, we held numerous Zoom meetings to plan every detail. Because of the travel theme, there were many moving parts, and yet no detail was too small for them to manage. They were always available when I had questions, and their calm, confident approach helped ease any stress I had throughout the planning process. A few weeks before the big day, we encountered a major challenge: our original ceremony venue was still under construction. I was incredibly stressed about having to find a new venue at the last minute -- but Tessa stepped in with her industry experience and strong network, and helped us secure an even better venue that could comfortably accommodate our 170 guests. What could have been a nightmare turned into one of the best decisions of the entire wedding! Tessa and Maya are masters of organization. Do yourself a favor and hire Fred + Kate Events to plan and coordinate your wedding! I had heard about Tessa and her team from a friend of mine who had nothing but great things to say about F+K events. We also listened to the Tessa's Unveiling Paradise podcast which was extremely helpful. My now husband and I are from the Mainland, so it was crucial that we hired a wedding planner/coordinator that knew their stuff. We got the partial planning and coordination package and it definitely was worth the money! Tessa helped guide us in all things planning by helping us narrowing down our priorities based on our budget. Tessa helped give excellent suggestions a variety of vendors and even had suggestions for kind of niche ones as well. We really appreciate that she gave us suggestions that ranged from budget to more on the high end depending on how much the particular aspect ranked on our priority list. In addition to that, her and her team are excellent in responding back to emails in a timely manner which did wondering for a very worried bride like myself. I honestly kind of worried for nothing because the F+K team did a fantastic job of handling things, especially as the big day drew near! From reaching out to confirm details with vendors to creating a whole venue layout. They had it all taken care of! A huge shout out to Henry, Maya, and Justin who we had the pleasure of meeting and working with throughout our wedding planning process as well as on the day of. On the day of, it was so easy to be present and just enjoy because we knew that everything was handled and we had full trust in Tessa and her team. They were incredibly professional, made us feel at ease, were so kind, and were extremely helpful! We really could not have had our dream wedding without the help of the Fred and Kate Team! read more

We loved working with Tessa and Maya for our wedding at the Four Seasons Ko Olina. From the very beginning, the team was organized and thoughtful. We met monthly leading up to the big day and they had great recommendations, insights on timeline and vendor connections. They have amazing relationships with so many of the top vendors on the island and knew our venue inside and out, which made planning feel smooth. Where they really shined was on the day of the wedding. We didn't have to worry about a single thing truly! There was always someone by my side every hour of the day, so I never once had to wonder what was next or where I needed to be. They thought of every little detail: seamlessly transitioning us from getting ready to the first look to portraits, holding my purse and phone all day, bringing my outfit change dress down right on time, steaming our outfits that morning, and even packing up all of our wedding items beautifully so it was effortless to take everything home the next day. Their deep knowledge of the Four Seasons was such a game-changer. When we needed an alternate elevator or quick access to another part of the property, they coordinated with the staff instantly. Every single moment ran perfectly because of them. We were so impressed by their professionalism, calm energy and care. They truly went above and beyond and allowed us to be fully present on the best day of our lives. Could not recommend them more! read more

TL;DR: We'd give Tessa and her team all the stars in the sky for their rating if we could. Not only are they immaculate professionals, but they're fun, wonderful people--easily some of the best we got to meet during our wedding planning adventure--who truly care about their couples. The Long Review: When my husband and I first started wedding planning, one of our main priorities was getting a top tier wedding coordinator. Tessa was one of the first we interviewed, and we immediately knew that there was something special about her. She had a great sense of humor, and when we mentioned our dream venue alongside our preferred budget, she very kindly adjusted our expectations and provided us with not just a realistic overview of what weddings typically cost at that venue but also creative ways to approach things from a budget. Her ability to keep things real with us, yet do so in a manner that was still fun, caring, and creative was something we instantly gravitated towards. After bringing her on for partial planning, we worked closely as a team for a year and a half. Note that when Tessa's packages say unlimited communication, she means UNLIMITED communication. We exchanged so many emails and calls to ensure that we were on track with our plans and keeping in line with our priorities. Her professional expertise and experience in the industry helped us choose the best of the best vendors for our vision. Also, Midori and Lauren, who stepped in to help in the last few months before the wedding, were awesome at getting those final details in place when things got the most hectic. One week before the big day, we found out that an unusually late Kona low would bring heavy rain all across Oʻahu for the entire week. As someone who grew up on the leeward side of the island (a.k.a. the dry side), I had always envisioned sunny skies for our outdoor May wedding. So needless to say, I was super bummed. Tessa immediately sensed that we needed extra emotional support and went above and beyond to check in with us throughout the week. As the rain continued to pour in the lead-up, she and her team busted their butts behind the scenes to work on rain contingencies, from negotiating with our rentals vendor for a larger tent to entirely rearranging the venue layout. The morning of the wedding, the sky was dumping buckets. But even after I had given up hope, the Fred + Kate team moved forward like a well-oiled machine. Tessa, Midori, and Lauren executed their contingencies at the venue while it was pouring. Henry, bride handler extraordinaire, looked after my every need. The team's unwavering belief in my husband and me kept us going throughout that entire day, and miraculously, the rain not only let up during the ceremony but also gave us one of most beautiful sunsets the west side has seen for a while (with a bonus rainbow)! Even if the rain hadn't let up, though, the care that Tessa and her team showed us was more than enough to make the day as special as it was. They helped us focus on truly enjoying our wedding instead of sweating the details, and that is something we'll forever be grateful for. Thank you, Tessa and the Fred + Kate team! It was an honor and privilege to have you supporting us during our big day. P.S. Check out Tessa's wedding podcast, Unveiling Paradise! My husband and I were featured on Episode 69 to talk all about our wedding stressors before our big day :) read more

Five stars is nowhere near enough. Hire Fred and Kate Events! My husband and I got married at Lanikuhonua on Oahu and F&K exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding. From our very first conversation, Tessa, Maya and the entire F&K team impressed us with their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. They took the time to understand our vision and priorities, never making us feel like just another client. What truly set them apart was their incredible flexibility and willingness to accommodate last-minute requests--we initially thought we didn't care what our wedding looked like, and when we came in with a list of demands for our bespoke dance floor / DJ set up, Tessa and Maya didn't hesitate. They sent us multiple videos from the venue walking us through our layout options and created a completely custom dance floor atmosphere with disco balls and foliage that transformed the night into the beach club of our last-minute dreams. Every step of the planning process felt seamless thanks to their expert guidance and genuine care - every vendor they recommended was equally as professional as attentive! On the day of the wedding, Fred and Kate Events orchestrated everything with impeccable precision - F&K sent team members to each location where my husband and I were separately getting ready (complete with secret service ear pieces for coordination). Their team was so organized and calm under pressure that we were able to relax and fully enjoy each moment. Maya was a godsend, ensuring every element--from the ceremony setup to the flow of the reception--ran without a hitch. Guests raved not only about the beauty of the event (and the cocktails, hire Stir Beverage), but also how smoothly everything unfolded. Without a doubt, Fred and Kate Events are the best wedding planners on Oahu. If you're planning a wedding on Oahu, you won't find a more capable, thoughtful, or talented team. read more

When we decided to have our wedding in Waikiki, our friends referred us to Tessa and company, as they had an amazing experience working with them. Over the next 12 months, we worked closely with Tessa and her team to plan our ideal wedding. Going with the full wedding package, Tessa provided us vendors recommendations for every aspect of the wedding such as venues, flowers, music, photo/video. For vendors we found on our own, the team was able to do additional research and provide us with their opinions. As the wedding date got closer, we received plenty of checklists from Tessa and our vendors, but the team made sure to coordinate across all the checklists to make sure they knew everything that would happen on the day of the wedding. On the actual wedding day, everything went smoothly! The team was able to adjust our schedule to account for a tea ceremony, various photoshoots and even some breathing time to practice our first dance - all before 5pm. The entire time we were always with one of Tessa's crew so they could help us with whatever we needed. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch, and if there were any issues during the day, Tessa's team definitely handled it without worrying us. We also greatly appreciated how the team was able to pack up extra food and cake for us after the entire day was done. The Fred and Kate Events team was fantastic to work with. They are truly wedding planning experts and made our dream wedding a reality. We live on the mainland so we really wanted a good wedding planner to help us plan a destination wedding. We interviewed several wedding planners and Tessa was the one that stood out to us the most. She was professional yet approachable and was very receptive to all of our questions. She helped us establish a good budget and gave us a lot of recommendations for vendors. As we got closer to the date Lauren helped reach out to our vendors and construct our timeline. Everyone on the team was very responsive and quick to answer any questions. On the day of the wedding Maya arrived early in the morning to help with any outstanding tasks. She was so sweet and kept us company while we were getting ready. Henry arrived later and was with me for the rest of the day. He is a true gem and the superstar of the day! He made sure that everything was on track throughout the day and went above and beyond to make sure that I ate enough food and even packed us to-go boxes of food for the next day. Overall the entire Fred and Kate team did such a great job at facilitating the flow of the wedding. There were no hiccups and at times we were even ahead of schedule. At the end of the night they helped us clean up as well and saw us out of the venue. We received a lot of feedback from guests that they thought the wedding was very organized and ran super smoothly, which is a testament to the team's efficiency and expertise. Tessa and her team were so amazing, 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for a wedding planner on the island! read more

We chose Fred and Kate as our wedding coordinator and it was one of the best decisions we made. From the beginning, Tessa was there every step of the way and answered the millions of questions I had. She also recommended our DJ (Spectrum Entertainment) who turned out to be the perfect fit for me and my EDM loving husband. Planning a destination wedding can be difficult, however Tessa made the whole process go smoothly. On the day of the wedding, Maya arrived early to help with whatever I needed. I asked her if she could help steam my dress and she said yes. To my pleasant surprise, she ended up steaming all of the bridesmaid dresses and the mother of the bride/groom dresses. We were not expecting her to do all of that, but it allowed us all to fully relax until the ceremony. I am also very grateful for Jeannette, she helped put my veil on, helped me go to the bathroom, and other miscellaneous things like fixing my hair before a picture. Finally, Midori helped guide everyone to where they needed to be without rushing us. I appreciated this because my wedding day was truly the least stressful day. Tessa and her whole team did an amazing job with putting together our timeline, as well as making sure we all were cared for on the day of the wedding. I would highly recommend Fred and Kate events to anyone getting married in Oahu! read more

After getting engaged, I dreaded looking for a wedding planner and coordinator. I wanted someone that would mesh with my now husband and my own personalities. Finding Fred + Kate Events at the Spring Bridal Fair was destiny. Aunty Tessa had me hooked on our consultation phone call. Like, literally, she had me in tears when she recounted the story of how Fred + Kate came to be. That's when I knew, Tessa Gomes was it for me. Working with Tessa and getting to know her for a little over a year, she's seen me and heard me at my best and worst. She is always available to talk, through email, calls, or text. She was also incredibly patient with jokes and silly antics. She even was part of our jokes on her podcast co-host Joseph. Please listen to their Unveiling Paradise Podcast for planning your own wedding, wedding advice, and hilarious insanity. It is very insightful! Tessa and her team made our wedding planning journey fun-filled and less stressful! I highly recommend Tessa and her team. If you're looking for someone who is going to keep you on schedule, listen to your worries, uplift you on your rough days, look no further. Tessa Gomes and Fred + Kate Events is it. Tessa will be with you 100% through the process. She will be your friend through the process and become your Aunty once it's all over. Tessa, you the real MVP. read more

If you're looking for a wedding planning/coordinating company that dots all their i's and crosses all their t's, look no further!!! As an operations manager, and since my partner is a designer, we both are extremely particular about logistics and aesthetics. We wanted things a certain way, but also wanted to stay within a particular budget. Tessa's firm, yet caring approach was perfect for us. She really helped us every step of the way, referred us to wonderful vendors, and helped us stay within budget. Her team is also to die for! On the day of the wedding, we really felt like Henry was our guardian angel. As someone who is very type A, I really felt like I was able to turn my brain off, and never once looked at the clock or timeline because it was so clear I was in good hands - they took care of use every step of way and went above and beyond in the details, such as making sure our bridal party had water waiting for them right after the ceremony walk out, or fixing our lei in pictures to make sure it was on point. 10/10 would work with them again. They made our wedding absolutely perfect and guests could not stop raving about Henry or how seamless everything was that day. We are beyond satisfied with these services!! It was the best, most stress free day of our lives thanks to Fred + Kate! We were actually able to enjoy every moment of the wedding because they took care of so much behind the scenes. WE LOVE YOU FOREVER, FRED + KATE ! read more

10/10 would recommend. I don't think we could've pulled off our wedding without Fred and Kate Events. Tessa & Henry were always quick to respond, even during late hours at night. The team was extremely thorough in helping us plan for the event, taking into account every possible variation and whim that we might have. By the time of the wedding, they prepared our timeline down to the minute and had all our preferences in mind. Tessa personally attended our rehearsal and walked us through every step of the process, reassuring us of the big day and fine-tuning the details to ensure everything ran smoothly. On the day of the wedding, Henry stopped by early in the morning to check in on us and made himself available all day. He broke no sweat even when unexpected problems arose and had to make changes on the fly. Henry and Lauren worked tirelessly throughout the wedding to ensure that everything went smoothly, from coordinating all our vendors to keeping us on track with events and photos planned for the day. Throughout the night, the team constantly checked in to ensure all our needs were being met, and the team stayed until the end to ensure everything was taken care of. The team was clearly well versed in weddings, as they had great rapport with all our vendors and hotel staff as well. I don't think our wedding would've been anywhere near as successful and enjoyable without their help, and we will always be grateful for that. Since then, I've been recommending these guys to all my friends who are getting married. These guys are worth every dollar, so don't hesitate to choose them as your wedding planner! read more

Tessa and her team (Lauren, Maya, Jeannette) are absolutely amazing! My husband and I got married this past Sunday and the day went by so perfectly because their team did an incredible job at keeping everyone on time and managing the chaos. Tessa kept in contact with us until the very last minute the night before our wedding to ensure the timeline was exactly how we wanted the day to go and making sure all the details we wanted were perfectly executed. Even caught the error on my behalf and found a last minute arch for our ceremony to rent the night before the ceremony! Lauren checked in with me the morning of the wedding, making sure the glam team had arrived and services had started. She took everything for the ceremony and reception and made sure it was in place. She also reminded me to relax, lol. Jeannette made sure I had everything I needed throughout the day. She made sure I drank enough water and took enough time before the ceremony to freshen up and rest. She also helped my bridesmaid with my bustle. Maya ran around with the guys and made she they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. She was with us during our sunset photos and she helped carry my bouquet. We received feedback from some of our guests that included: "I've never been to such an organized wedding", "Your wedding was so perfect", "it felt like i was in one of the weddings you see on tv", and I can't help but thank Tessa and her team for that!! read more

Fred and Kate was recommended to us by our wedding venue and we were so fortunate that Tessa and her team were available to be our partial planner/day-of coordinator for our wedding day (12/29/2021). Well, to paint a picture for you... COVID-19 lockdown #2 happened in HI right in the middle of our planning. To say that Tessa was the real MVP of our wedding experience is a great understatement. I am not the girly girl type who knows exactly what decor she wanted for her wedding. Tessa was extremely patient with me, went above and beyond her role to make sure I had vendors and that we had something magical with our pretty low budget. She did not judge that our budget was small. Tessa worked a miracle and everything looked extremely elegant and breathtakingly beautiful. Working with her through the planning, through the lockdown, through the highs and lows of whether or not the wedding would happen was always a joy. She was always very transparent and optimistic. Every time I had any kind of panic/anxiety regarding the wedding, Tessa would calm me down. She was always available and always had the perfect solution. On the day of our wedding, my nail art got messed up. Tessa was already there to start coordinating vendor set up, etc. She let me borrow her car so that I could go get my nail fixed!! ABOVE AND BEYOND. The entire ceremony and reception was perfect! Everything was on time and everyone had a great time. What's more, when we got to our room, Tessa had arranged for all kinds of goodies, but also added her own special touch with a gift of her own to us. My family has decided she is now part of us. We will always have memories of a great wedding celebration and I will forever be thankful to Tessa. She took my colors: Burgundy and Coral, and my slogan "Simple but Elegant and Fun", and brought it to life with a celebration beyond anything I could have ever imagined. You need Fred and Kate Events to plan and coordinate your event. The staff is very professional, they know what they're doing and you will be left very happy with the outcome of your event. read more

Aunty Tessa is amazing. My fiance and I engaged with Fred + Kate for our wedding planning and day of coordination. We spoke with several planners/coordinators, but Tessa's personality and humor really resonated with us. Wedding planning is stressful.  Tessa made planning our wedding less stressful.  We had our wedding ceremony and reception at an ourdoor venue; and as such we needed to rent everything and source all of vendors. Tessa's insights and expertise provided us with more options when it came to selecting our vendors.  It also did not hurt that most of our vendors gave us discounts because Tessa was our planner/coordinator. From vendor set up, to executing the day of plans, to transporting us back to our hotel, Tessa and her team made our wedding day seemless, and definitely worth ever penny. read more

We're from the mainland and were stressed about planning a destination wedding in Oahu. The best decision we made was to have Tessa Gomes at Fred and Kate Events coordinate our wedding. From beginning to end, Tessa and her team made us feel taken care of and helped bring our vision of the wedding to life. In the months leading up to the wedding, Tessa made the process as stress free and simple as possible. We even got ideas on how to make the days before and after the wedding more special from listening to her "Unveiling Paradise" podcast. They kept us organized, curated the best vendors and were always available to answer our questions and resolve any issues. A special and heartfelt mahalo to Henry Fang and Maya (who provided the veil). Henry was the "closer" and lead coordinator on our wedding day. He finalized all the details with our vendors and made sure we weren't being pulled in too many directions on the day of the wedding. My bride's veil somehow got misplaced and Maya saved the day by offering her sister's beautiful veil for us to use. Everything went seamlessly and we only have the most wonderful memories from the experience - I suppose that is the highest compliment we could give Tessa and her team. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Tessa as our wedding coordinator, and we cannot give her and the team praise enough. Having a destination wedding is amazing for guests to enjoy, but it should also be fun for the bride and groom. I was very nervous planning the event from afar, but with Tessa having years of experience, she reassured and guided us through the process. With all my rapid fire questions/emails and angst building up to the date of the wedding, Tessa and Henry kindly responded with poise and reassurance. We felt they were the honest friends that we needed to keep us on track. Tessa took the time to understand our vision and made sure every aspect of the wedding represented who we are as a couple. It was breathtaking to see the product of all the visions James and I had being executed to the tee on our wedding day. I even just want to throw a vow renewal celebration to go through the process with them and try a different venue- LOL. The team is made of wonderful and beautiful individuals. We wish we could give a million stars to Tessa and her team. They made turning our dream day into a reality so fun and easy. During the wedding planning process, friends/family would ask how planning was going. Our response was always the same, "It's so easy. We have Tessa." From the first meeting all the way up to and including our day, everything was so simple. They made us feel so special the entire time and we wouldn't have been able to do it without them. Problem solvers. Supportive. Kind. Experts. FUNNY. Thoughtful. Honest. Thorough. Dedicated. The Fred + Kate Events team was truly outstanding to work with for our destination wedding and I couldn't recommend this incredible team more! Tessa and her team are true professionals when it comes to supporting their couples throughout the wedding planning process from vendor management to day-of coordination and everything in between. Thanks to Tessa's relationships, we received discounts from vendors and her team did an incredible job ensuring every question we or our vendors had was answered. My husband and I planned our Hawaii wedding from Texas (sight unseen!) and throughout the process, Tessa and her team gave us great advice based on our budget and our vision so we didn't feel like we were compromising at any step along the way. We had monthly video calls to check-in with Tessa where we were able to brainstorm ideas and get our questions answered which made such a huge difference to our big day. Leading up to the wedding, while on one of our calls, I shared some of my stress about logistics and details trying to manage with our venue and without missing a beat, Tessa instantly reassured me that her team wouldn't drop a ball - and they didn't! Two weeks before the wedding, Tessa FaceTimed us to show another wedding that she and her team were working at our venue and shared they had a foolproof plan for our wedding day. As soon as Tessa, Henry, Jeanette, and Maya arrived for our wedding day, I was instantly put at ease as they seamlessly managed every single detail from our outside vendors to the hotel team to our families - I'm still in awe three weeks later! Both my husband and I have been to and in many weddings where we've seen many things go awry but Tessa and her team had every single minute and detail accounted for. Throughout our wedding day, my husband and I kept telling each other (as did our families and friends!) how SMOOTH the day went. We didn't stress about a single thing thanks to this resourceful, helpful, friendly, and amazing team. I could easily bust the Yelp word count with all of the great things there are to say about the Fred + Kate team so if you are looking for your wedding planner, I recommend Tessa and crew wholeheartedly. And if you're a podcast listener, you have to listen to Unveiling Paradise which Tessa and Joseph Esser (the photographer we hired!) host and share the BEST tips and tricks for planning a destination wedding. For one last example of Tessa's expertise, she helped us plan the sweetest surprise at the end of our wedding ceremony for my sister and brother-in-law - watch until the end! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45ry2j14cdg&t=16s read more

The entire Fred & Kate Event team surprised us with the most perfectly executed event I've ever been a part of! The team's kindness and attention to detail is incredible and inspires me to get more creative in the way I care for and serve my team and students. They all definitely make the world a better place with their love and joy! Our wedding was beyond our high expectations, every detail was perfect. Tessa is fabulous and Henry is the cherry on top! We had so much fun and they were uber prepared for every situation, from carrying scissors in his fanny pack to having lipgloss ready after the first kiss, then the fan he whipped out when we started sweating. Amazing! Everything up to the wedding felt like being in The Princess Diaries and the wedding was like the happiest Rom Com ending of all time. We just love you all and hope you continue to bring as much joy to your future clients as you have to us. read more

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin - there are SO MANY WONDERFUL things to say about Tessa and team. Before I write my novel, TL;DR is book them ASAP to coordinate your wedding - best decision we made after deciding to get married in the first place ;) Seriously. Alright so I guess I'll start from the beginning. We spoke with a few other wedding coordinators before we spoke with Tessa, and we knew right away she was the one for us. Tessa was exactly the right amount of "I'm gonna get sh*t done" but still be amazing and super fun to work with. So much so that I asked my husband after our wedding was over - "is it weird that I really miss talking to Tessa all the time?!" Tessa was incredibly helpful throughout our planning process giving us just the right amount of homework in between calls so we didn't get overwhelmed. She has amazing vendor recommendations at all price points, especially when it comes to food!, and she is careful to be conscious of your vision and your budget. Tessa also expertly helped us navigate through forever changing Covid restrictions and graciously, thoughtfully, and quickly helped us to reschedule by 3 months at the very last minute. It was insane.... I can honestly say the day of the wedding was the least stressful day out of the whole process for me because I knew whatever happened, Tessa would figure it out. She has a way of nicely but very commandingly getting people to do what they need to do when they need to do it, while still staying calm through everything. And I literally mean EVERYTHING. Forces of nature included! She serious went above and beyond and we could not have had our dream wedding without her and her team! My one regret: not getting a photo with Tessa and team on our wedding day! Brides - don't forget to add this to your photo list once you book Fred + Kate! :) read more
