I'm not sure if it's just me but I think there should be a minimum three day response time. If that's not doable, I may accept one week but definitely not two. And there's more... Finally got a response so I go over the package and call them back with questions for all these "extra charges." Getting married outside of Honolulu? There's a charge for that. Having the ceremony and reception at different locations? There's a charge for that. Having it at the same place? There's a charge for that too. More than 75 guests? You guessed it!!! There's a charge for that too! Paying with a credit card so you can earn miles? Yes, there's a charge for that. 3.5% processing fee to be exact! But with all those extra charges, I was still going to book them because of their reputation. I mean look at their reviews! So, I told them to send me the contract and it never came. Two weeks later, I get a email apologizing for the delay and asking me where my venue was again. Are you serious? I need an organized coordinator that I can trust! I sent them an email saying I will no longer need their services. Guess how many emails I got after that? Like five in a row with more apologies and excuses of how busy they were and how they're working on hiring and training someone to make the contracts. Whatever, I don't care. You can't handle the volume of your business, that's your problem. I need someone that can handle. I'm so happy I didn't go with them. I now have a coordinator that responds to all my emails and there are no extra fees. One that I trust and that is something so vital for one of the most important days of your life!

Beyond worrying about our budget, we were torn on whether we could logistically execute something so elaborate being so far away....until that fateful Monday morning back in 2024, when Yanicke called me out of the blue. She quickly introduced herself, mentioning how she had received our inquiry, and immediately dove into her ideas for our special day. I just loved that she took the initiative to do that, especially given the crazy, 6-hour time difference! She explained how she had worked with a venue that could double as accommodations for us and our immediate family, something we knew would be one of the best ways to actually host and easily organize the wedding weekend of both Indian and Polish wedding festivities. For us, Yanicke REALLY shined when it came to tapping her vast network of vendors and and managing our budget. She advised us on what we should prioritize and invest in, and what we could do without, while still maintaining the overall vision and vibe we wanted to create for ourselves and our guests on the the big day. She was EQUALLY impressive on both our rehearsal and wedding days. She suggested we rehearse not just the Catholic, but the and Hindu ceremony as well, which was so worth it given the many rituals and parent involvement. The timeline she had started putting together months before our wedding, plus the finalized version accounting for vendor arrivals, additional notes and moments we needed to incorporate, was exactly what we envisioned and needed the most, and everyone was locked in and delivered once the big day came. On our wedding day, Yanicke managed every vendor, navigated any delays with grace, and even helped with family drama all while keeping us perfectly on track. We felt supported, celebrated, and completely stress-free with her by our side. For starters, Janice told us that she had another wedding the same day in the morning AFTER she had my then fiancé & I sign her contract. There were issues in Janice not coordinating clearance for my 91-year-old flower girl & her caregiver to drive up the special utility road for the rehearsal AND wedding day; resulting in my flower girl & her caregiver driving 40+ minutes TWO DAYS in a row, just to be turned around by security. The result was that I had NO flower girl on my wedding day & my officiant announced to my seated guests if anyone had seen ______ (my flower girl's name). Causing confusion and frustration to my guests, bridal party, my parents, and the groom, & myself. My mom was talking on the phone with my flower girl's caregiver trying to figure out what was happening & why security turned them around, while also trying to rush back to get her makeup touch-up. My mom tried to call Janice's phone to ask for help in coordinating my flower girl's arrival, however, Janice did not pick up. Later Janice said something along the lines of I don't keep my phone on me when I go to the ceremony area.....I couldn't help but think, "You're the VERY ONE who SHOULD have your phone on you in case anything happens or we need help. During the Reception, she was in the back by the DJ the whole time and when I was thinking that the DJ forgot a special family dance song...I, the bride had to get up from the sweetheart table at the front and walk across the side of the dance floor to flag Janice down (twice because there was an interruption) to ask her if they skipped/forgot about the special family dance. Her team also did not set up the game supplies to be under the sweetheart table, so I had to walk over to a maid-of honor and ask her to get the box at the pavilion labeled "reception." Since Janice had a wedding in the morning when my bridal party arrived to Kualoa Ranch, her sister and significant other came to help set things up. The makeup artist's scheduled time on the itinerary was off from what was communicated to the makeup artist...so we thought the makeup artist was late. The sister didn't know much about how to help set up things and even said she was tired and hungry...so I, the bride gave her a banana to snack on. I honestly could go on...but will just say that I would NOT recommend this company for your special wedding day.

A Coordinator is someone who coordinates and is responsible to get things in order and help alleviate the stress that happens at an event. I understand it's a difficult job, but it's your profession nonetheless. Janice was like a deer in headlights and seemed like she had no idea what was happening at all. Her commitment to her job was almost non existent. She's was supposed to be at our rehearsal at the church, but apparently didn't plan her day well as she was only half present during our rehearsal. She agreed ahead of time to be there and changed it up because she "forgot" she had another event to be at. It is your job to get your stuff together. If you can't make it, say you can't! Don't agree to it and cancel and assume you have a handle on the wedding when you obviously don't. She was also late on the day of the wedding because of her alarm! Oh my goodness! All our vendors ended up contacting the bride because Janice wasn't available! Worse yet, she asked the bridesmaid and groomsmen to do her duties because she wasn't there. The ceremony didn't go as planned, but we improvised. Poor execution on her part since she wasn't at the entirety of our rehearsal! Reception was also dismal! Information was given to her prior, but was never checked out to account for errors or changes, as we had to, again, improvise on our own! I've worked in the wedding industry as a photographer and videographer and have with many Coordinators over the years. Wedding Planner 808 (Janice) is one I DO NOT recommend as there is no consistency, zero punctuality and no integrity to her craft. As with any profession, it can be difficult, but at least show up to do it. Save your hard earned money and look elsewhere!

We interviewed with 3 different planners, and ABC ended up being ultimately the perfect fit for us. We loved all the work we saw on the website/social media, and knew that we needed a comprehensive package of some sort since we were busy healthcare professionals working in NYC. We had our initial consultation call with Mackenzie, who was so great, eased our minds, and laid out everything we needed to know to help us make our decision. We made a decision before the end of the week, as we felt the involvement of ABC and their ability to both help design and contact vendors on our behalf with us being so busy would be helpful (and it really was!). We chose the elite planning package - we basically had bi-weekly video calls where we went over specific talking points and their orderliness and helpful input really helped us round out our tough decisions. Whenever we needed something more urgently, we were even able to text Mackenzie and Sammy and they were always so willing to assist. Sammy eventually came on to become one of our lead coordinators and we could not rave about her more! Even when we ran into some challenges in the months leading up to the wedding (unexpected vendor changes, inclement weather, etc) Sammy was always 10 steps ahead and really ensured that we had the best outcome possible even before we knew what was happening. We were being photographed outside by the water on the NORTH SHORE with a storm approaching (IYKYK) and Sammy was by our side with a platter of pupu's and cocktails ready to be blown away! Even with Tropical Storm Lala literally making headway for our wedding, Sammy (along with Natalie & Autumn) helped make our wedding perfect. We are so grateful and could not recommend them more. :)

She is very competitively priced for the responsibilities she will be doing for us. We also hired Jill to take care of all of the floral on the big day. We hosted our wedding at the Ko'olau Ballroom with about 122 guests that were mainly all from out of state. My wife could tell that Jill was experienced when she sent her photos and details of what she envisioned that the wedding was going to be like after our first initial conversation. She was on point and guided us throughout the process. She had great suggestions and advised on details on the wedding. We wanted to make the wedding a great time since we want to make it an unforgettable experience for us, our family, and all of our guests since they are all coming out of their way to travel to Hawaii to attend. Jill gave us wonderful referrals to our photographer, videographer, EMCEE, DJ, and many vendors. We hired the All-Star Cast and they delivered! All of our guests and family reached out to us and told us how much fun they had. The wedding went so smoothly besides one small hiccup on a vendor, but Jill got the situation handled! She worked within my budget and thoughtfully suggested ways to repurpose ceremony arrangements for the reception, which helped us save money. One challenge I experienced was at the start of our time working together. When I requested a few edits to the contract, it was initially difficult to get in touch with her or her team. As someone who is very Type A, the contract details were extremely important to me, and I felt hesitant signing before those revisions were made. Unfortunately, it took nearly two months to receive a response, and I had to follow up multiple times via email and text before hearing back. Additionally, her quote was presented as one full price rather than itemized. Other florists I spoke with provided itemized breakdowns, which I personally appreciated in case I needed to remove or adjust specific pieces. That said, for the price we paid, her work was truly beautiful and well worth it!
