A special one they made for the birthday boy.

Where do I even start......Nathan and Chika Tanaka are 2 of the most nicest people and most patient people I had the pleasure to meet and hire for any event. I have used Candy Art Hawaii for 4 events now, and every time they show up and do their candy art, it amazes everyone. Kids and Adults are speechless watching them create this amazing lolipop you never want to eat. I give them a million stars if I could. They are well worth it to have at any event. The photo booth is great, and they have printed and digital copy right on the spot. You won't be disappointed ever with Nathan and company. Im a hard person to please, and Candy Art Hawaii is a grand slam.

Who said you need a birthday or wedding to call on Candy Art Hawaii? What a great idea and quite the form of entertainment. Amezaiku (translated "Candy Art") was a new find for me! The artist (we had Chika) will smartly craft a lollipop of your choice. The list is made up of animals and flowers and unicorns. I got a cat and a butterfly. The greatest joy was to watch a ball of sugar turn into these designs. While watching the lollipops take shape I was told they also have a photo booth. I was a guest at an event that hired Candy Art and was glad because I will definitely consider hiring them if an event coordination presents itself to me. 86/100 Yelp Review Challenge Los Angeles

Waiting for amezaiku (photo is from 2018)

I first worked with Candy Art for my daughter's first birthday party. Having them there was worth every penny! It kept everyone entertained - I think the adults were more excited about it than the kids. Fast forward five years, I contacted Candy Art to see if they'd be available for my daughter's birthday party. It was a last minute inquiry on my part, but the quick response was they were already booked for the day in question, but they offered their services via their favors side of the business. Chika was very communicative through the process of ordering the amezaiku favors. When I picked up the favors, since they are fragile, I was happy that they were packed so nicely to minimize damage in transit. While the party guests didn't get the expected of a live candy artist, they still loves the favors. Any future events I plan, i hope to be able to incorporate a Candy Artist into the event.

Candy Art Hawai'i was a huge hit at my daughter's party. They make amezaiku (Japanese candy making) in the form of a lollipop. Guests come up and pick from a list and watch the artist color, shape and mold a piece of melted sugar candy into a delightful design of their choice. Just go on the website and check it out. They offer a variety of packages that include photo booth and balloon making. The booking process was quite easy via email. For my daughter's party I got the photo booth/candy making package. I was able to secure the photo booth design prior to the party via email. They arrived before the party started and everything was quickly set up. They were quite popular and had a line throughout the party. Nathan was the candy artist and because I was so busy I wasn't able to visit the booth. Before he left, he gave me three lollipops, one with my daughter's party theme. Very kind and thoughtful, an appreciated gesture. If you're planning a party, definitely consider Candy Art Hawai'i!

    Custom lollipops!

This was a lot of fun and all my guests enjoyed watching the shapes being made. As i was the hostess, i was busy most of my party and wasn't able to enjoy my own vendor. He was gracious enough to make me my own set of lollipops so i could have them to take home. I would definitely hire this service again. He arrived early, set up and went straight to work.

Oh em gee, I love love love Candy Art Hawaii! My hubby and I had our destination wedding in Honolulu and for the 130 guests that flew in for our big day from all parts of the world, we wanted to provide them with something out of the ordinary that would make them talk about it years from now. That's when Candy Art Hawaii came into place. We hired Ben & Maila to provide live music for our cocktail hour before our dinner reception, but we also had 25 children under the age of 12 that were a part of our wedding day that needed something to do while the grown ups enjoyed the adult beverages at the bar. Thanks to Yelp, I found Nathan and Chika as the perfect entertainment for our wedding day. When I submitted my on-line inquiry on their website, I was delighted to get a quick reply back from Nathan letting me know that they were available for August 5th, woo hoo! I think the adults had a lot more fun than the kids with their art work, everyone was simply amazed by their talent to see a clump of super hot sugar turned into cute unicorns, frogs, monkeys, fish and whatever else you requested that was within their capabilities. Once dinner began, Nathan and Chika walked up to our sweetheart table in the ballroom letting us know they were heading out, but they also presented me with the cutest Hello Kitty bride that replicated the Precious Moments Hello Kitty figurine I had at the reception table out in the foyer. I LOVED it and was amazed by their talent. My only bummer was that my hubby and I didn't get to see them make any of these awesome lollipops up close since we were too busy getting our couple photos done with our photographer out on the beach during cocktail hour. If you're planning a party, wedding or whatever it may be that you need some awesome entertainment for, I highly recommend you hire Candy Art Hawaii, they are incredibly talented and they're so easy to work with! Mahalo Nathan & Chika for adding some wow factor on our wedding day!

Candy Art Hawaii is perfect for entertaining guests at any event, party, or wedding. Awesome for kids too! What they do is called Amezaiku. Basically, they entertain guests with their fancy schmancy Japanese candy sculpting; they carefully and quickly mold temperature-hot candy into animal candy art right before your eyes. The hot, pliable candy is secured onto a lollipop stick, molded, pulled, pinched, cut, and sculpted (by the artists' fingers and a small scissors) into the animal / shape of choice. These handcrafted lollipops are incredibly cute and great for people of all ages. A sure hit for any party. Top 10 requested lollipops: rabbit, dolphin, penguin, elephant, turtle, flower, tiger, dog, frog, butterfly http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/0jvp8NDdNyYt4ueSWfT3Og?select=wPKIjKuKAHtXp8OQGO5f1g I requested a tiger for the bf and a panda for me. They were almost too cute to eat. Almost. Tiger: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/0jvp8NDdNyYt4ueSWfT3Og?select=a0WegMMwIlJXZluGyNZYIw Panda: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/0jvp8NDdNyYt4ueSWfT3Og?userid=U-7EVbeRf1wlSZfHW_gujQ And what I really liked about the candy was that it wasn't ridiculously sweet. :) Watching these skillful candy artists in action is really neat. I must have been standing in front of them for at least 10-15 minutes. I was completely mesmerized. The price for 1 candy artist for a 2 hour minimum is $250. And it's $50 for each additional 30 minutes. Sounds a bit pricey, but consider what you're getting... Unique, entertaining, and delicious handcrafted animal lollipops! Having these guys at your party would definitely give you extra "cool points." And one of the candy artists told me that it took her about 2 years to learn and perfect her traditional Japanese art-of-candy-sculpting skills. Wow. I can see why the price is what it is... This is definitely an art. Skeptical? Check them out on YouTube and browse through their gallery on their website www.candyarthawaii.com To book these guys at your next party you can visit their website and follow their instructions on emailing them details about your event. This sure beats hiring a clown. Yelp 365 - #043/365

Simply amazing! Great party entertainment for guests of ALL ages! The lollipops are not sugary sweet and very enjoyable, if you can bear to eat such a work of art! The balloon guy was also very impressive and made some very intricate things!

Candy Art Hawaii was a big hit at our son's birthday party. We ended up booking them for the candy art, photo booth, and balloon twisting and everything was awesome! Our guests couldn't get enough of the lollipops. There was always a line at their station as people watched candy being twisted and molded into various animals, such as unicorns, dragons, octopus, pigs, and many more. So many people came up to us asking where we found them. It's definitely a unique and fun option for any party. Their photo booth was also great. They design the photo printouts to match your party theme and the photos develop pretty quickly. They also provide a nice variety of fun props to pose with. The balloon twisting was also great. They were able to create just about anything the kids asked for. The overall pricing for everything was also very reasonable. It was easy to book them, but it's best to book them well in advance to secure your date. We would definitely hire them again and we recommend them for any event.

Hungry Caterpillar to match our birthday party theme

Candy art is AMAZING! Saw them at a party once and when it was time to plan for our daughter's first birthday party I changed the date so we could book them. I'm so glad we did! Everyone had fun watching and getting theirs made. Even the Grandmas and Tweens loved it. Unfortunately for Nathan he never had a break!! He was so nice too. He made us a special Hungry Caterpillar to match our theme.
