Party Pizzazz (Diana) was so helpful and amazing to work with. I needed last minute balloon bouquets at various locations over the island and not only did Diana help advise me on the balloons themselves but she personally delivered every bouquet and gave us tips on how to reuse. Diana was knowledgeable, friendly and I'll definitely be working with her again for all my future balloon needs! read more

Party Pizzazz is such a wonderful little local business! I bought my son's birthday balloons here, and I was so impressed with everything. The store may be small, but the selection is unique, stylish, and beautifully put together. You can tell that the owner, Diana, has an amazing eye for design and great taste. Whatever you're looking for, you can trust that it's going to look beautiful at your party. I love supporting small local businesses like this, and I will definitely be back for our next celebration! read more

We saw a lot of hoops and hurdles in 2024 so when it came time to ring in the New Year, we headed to our local party store to prepare for our family celebration. It seems small from the outside but my goodness, this store has a wide selection of party elements for sale. They have themed decorations for every occasion. I made it just in time before all the fun New Year's deco sold out. Fantastic customer service and great variety of party elements. If you don't use all your purchased items, bring your receipt and inquire about their store exchange policy. Looking forward to shopping for our next party :) read more

Great little store! We needed a bunch of fun balloons at the last minute and these folks delivered!

Are you looking for balloons? Cute paper plates with matching napkins? Party decorations? Well, look no further. Come check out Party Pizzazz located on 3390 Waialae Avenue right across Kaimuki Auto Repair. I first stopped at Party City but they didn't have any graduation balloons! Sadly since it's not graduation season. It was a blessing in disguise when I used Yelp and found Party Pizzazz. Diane helped me find the perfect graduation balloons for our youngest brother. She's super friendly and helpful! I also found some cute gingerbread house party boxes. I forgot to take a picture and I already gave them away lol. Trust me I say, the boxes were cute. It's small but fit a good size of chocolates, tea or coffee single pack and a small hand sanitizer. Anyways, I really want to share that it was my first time here and I felt at home with her. The store is small and cute but has a lot of varieties that I'm sure you'll find useful for your next party event - whether it's for a birthday, graduation, or wedding event. Thank you for reading my review. Have a blessed weekend! read more

I bought 3 set of colorful mini Pom party hats ea set had 8 hats and 2 set of good fortune party blowers ea set had 12. She told me the party hats were $13 per set but I was charged $15 and I was quoted $8 for the blowers but was charged $13.50 for a total of $72 ($75.39) w tax. I was in a rush cause my party surprise was the next day and I needed to give it to a friend to bring it to the party. Anyway I think it was incredibly expensive in the first quote but I was in a rush and I was charged an amount that was not quoted to me which made it a rip off. See pictures attached pics read more

I visited party pizazz to pick up some balloons for a friends birthday. This place has been a staple in the Kaimuki neighborhood forever. It is one of the only balloon stores. The owner is new, she purchased the store. She is super friendly and helpful. She made my decision making easy. I loved that they had so many cute party items. Many of them are unique and things that I have never seen in stores before. Prices are comparable to other party stores. However, support local! Parking is street parking. Credit accepted. read more

We had an awesome experience working with Diana for a surprise baby shower some close friends threw for my wife. She handled all the materials and the full setup -- and absolutely nailed it. She was reliable, professional, and executed everything she said she was going to do. The setup looked great, the details were on point, and it made the entire event feel special. If you're planning something important and want someone you can truly count on, Diana is the person you want in your corner. She helped create a moment we'll never forget. Highly recommend. read more

Diana is awesome! For my daughter's first and second birthday I went to Party Pizzazz for balloons and it turned out perfect. I came with design themes in mind and she helped me pick the perfect colors and selection of balloons. I added the delivery fee option and it was so worth it. She positioned the balloons throughout the room to work with the party while I finished the other last minute party details. I appreciate her wonderful customer service, design eye, and attention to detail. read more

Love the owner! Balloons were so unique & beautiful! Thanks for helping to make my wife's birthday extra special!

Stopped by the shop after work around 430. Found a great spot right out front. Put $0.30 in the meter and got 12 min. The guy working behind the counter greeted me and since I was the only one there, he was able to help me figure out what to get. I wanted 4 balloons that would last a day (24 hours) outside. He recommended Mylar balloons. Told him I needed specific colors and the only ones he had were stars. That worked out great since I didn't need specific shapes or sizes. Each balloon was $7 so it came out to almost $30. Great service! The store is very mom and pop like. Found some cute birthday balloons and crowns. If you need a quick stop, definitely recommend this place. Masks are required still so make sure you have one handy. And sanitize before touching items. read more

Excellent Customer Service by Diana! We had planned on ordering 40 balloons to do a hotel room surprise for my friend's bday. However our plans changed during the planning phase. When I get the chance to order form Diana, I will! Thanks so much for going above and beyond in showing me the diff balloon colors via email! Can't wait to come back! read more

The balloons here were cheaper than party city! Diana was so sweet and even helped me load my 20 balloons in my car, and when two popped in the process she replaced them. She was super welcoming and kind. When I previously went to party city they were rude and uncaring. I would definitely go here over party city! read more

The proprietors of this store are so friendly and helpful. Both times I have gone they have suggestions and just chat and seem like genuinely nice people. I've only bought balloons from here. I think balloons are so festive but also they are so hard to manage inside the car. One popped during transport and scared the living daylights out of me. They do have some party supplies but not much. I would come here doe the service bc they are so personable. But if you need a lots of theme type party supplies, you prolly should go to party city. Come here when you need to get balloons and you'd like to support a neighborhood store with very solicitous owners. Parking is on the street but not usually hard to find a metered spot. read more

Diana is the best! I needed last minute party supplies for a themed celebration, and Diana really saved the day with just a couple of hours notice! I knew party city has been lacking, and saw party pizzazz was right up the road from where I was, so I gave her a call and she gave me detailed info on their inventory, and even sent pictures to me of the items I might be interested in. We made our way over and she helped us decide what worked best for our theme, and set us up really quickly. They are a small but mighty store- you'd be surprised at how much variety they have. Party Pizazz has a lot of balloons wether you're looking for foil or latex. The guy who works and I assume owns it is always nice whenever I had questions. Party Pizzazz has been around on Waialae for as long as I remember. It's a small locally owned shop that sells balloons and party supplies. It was my husband's birthday and my daughter wanted to buy him some balloons. And since my husband is a Star Wars fan, my daughter requested that he get Star Wars balloons. Well, there's no that many places that sell specialized balloons so I turned to the first place I could think of, Party City. It was quite overwhelming in there. Aisles and aisles of party stuff. I just wanted to get two Star Wars balloons. They had a whole display of balloons but when I asked the clerk for more Star Wars, she pointed me to the Star Wars pack with five balloons. She said it was $25.00. I decided not to get it. Then I remembered about Party City. It's pretty much down the road from my parent's house. I called ahead to see if they sell Star Wars balloons. The guy was very helpful and friendly and said that he did have two types. He even explained what the balloons looked like. So we went to check it out. Service was fast and they made our balloons quick. One tip is that you can't use your credit card without making a $10 transaction. My balloons were less than $10 so I bought a Moana balloon for my daughter. They don't really have a lot of party supplies there but they're very helpful. read more

"Pizzazz "is defined as an attractive coordination of vitality and glamour. And no, it has nothing to do with pizza. So back in 1986, this husband and wife team of Bennett and Theresa Chan, who loved to decorate parties with colorful balloons, started their two party supply stores called "Party Pizzazz." Theresa manages the Kaimuki location, and Bennett managed the Kailua location, but moved everything over to Kaimuki in Oct. 2018 so that he and Theresa could take turns managing this store so that they could spend more time with their young grandkids. Party Pizzazz is a party supply store for kids and adults. While they have party tableware, banners, ribbons, party favors, stuffed animals, and piñatas, their emphasis is on balloon decorating. They can do simple and elaborate balloon arches, towers and centerpieces of different colors. They carry different kinds of balloons (latex, mylar, character) that are of varying colors and prints (dotted). In planning my granddaughter's 3rd birthday party, my party planner suggested Party Pizzazz for party decorations. Knowing nothing about what was needed to decorate a birthday party with a Mickey Mouse theme, I walked into Party Pizzazz and met Theresa. She was very personable and accommodating, as well as being so patient in explaining to me the different options I had. Her expertise was well heeded: * I would need more balloon centerpieces than I had estimated because the restaurant was using 6-foot rectangular tables (2 centerpieces) instead of round tables (1 centerpiece). * Each centerpiece of bottled candies would be weighted down by three balloons of Mickey or Minnie mylar, solid color latex, and dotted color latex with matching colored ribbons. * Having a movable 17 ft. x 8 ft. high gold "Kayla" name balloon arch with single colored latex balloons on each side. * A 7-balloon bouquet (1 mylar, 3 dotted latex, 3 solid latex) for the registration table. * Invitation and color samples of the napkins, favors, and cake were provided so that Theresa could match them with the balloon colors. It was so pleasant coordinating with Theresa, as she wanted me to be satisfied with my order and removed any doubts that I had. Having done this for so many years, she knew what worked and what didn't work. What great customer service that this company has! And because she, herself, has young grandkids, we had a common interest and could place herself in my shoes. What a lifesaver! And it didn't stop with the ordering. With an affordable delivery fee, she arrives at the restaurant early in the morning, before the restaurant even opened its doors. She had her van filled with some 130 helium-filled balloons, all ready to be taken out and assembled and tied to the centerpieces. She helped us get into the rhythm of tying the right balloons for each centerpiece, and even replaced some when a few popped when escaped and touched the ceiling. After we completed assembling the centerpieces, the colorful party room was awed by everyone as to how colorful and amazing the venue was! The multitude of colors and balloons put everyone into the spirit of celebrating a child's birthday party! Plus, it was a touch of elegance seeing Kayla's name spelled out in gold balloon letters and starting and ending with colored solid balloons! I know I could not have come up with such creativeness and thank Party Pizzazz for their personal touch and expertise in making in happen! Party Pizzazz also rents out helium tanks if you want to blow up your own balloons. These balloons supposedly last longer than the small helium tanks that you can buy from department stores. It's a relatively small store that stocks party things, so it's a one-stop shop for those last-minute things you'll need for a party. They also have done the giant and colorful balloon arch for the finish line at the Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure at Kapiolani Park for some 18 years in a row. Party Pizzazz is so visible in a number of community events, and yet they don't need to advertise, as their balloon displays act as referrals for their excellence in balloon displays. Party Pizzazz is located on Waialae Ave. between 7th Ave. and 8th Ave., next to Kaimuki Ace Hardware. Open Mon. to Fri. 10a to 6p, Sat. 10a to 5p, and Sun. 10a to 2p; closed on holidays. Metered street parking only. It's a small store, so if you blink, you'll miss it. (Going to Party Pizzazz allowed me to "accidently" find Breadshop around the corner, which I got hooked onto their European-style breads.) I look forward to going back to Party Pizzazz for my balloon needs, whether it is for a party or for a single balloon. Thank you, Bennett and Theresa Chan, for making Kayla's 3rd birthday a memorable one! read more

I was invited to my friends kids 18th birthday party and I HAD to do something over the top for him. SO I called up Party Pizzazz to see what they could do with a DAY's notice. The lady who answered is just WORLD CLASS in her knowledge, customer service and amazing personality! She immediately said that she has HUGE number balloons and she could do a 1 8 arrangement that would really dazzle. I was a little bit leary at first but she was confident in her recommendation and said she could deliver them as well. WOW! Save me a trip to town? Sign me up! When I got them it was better than I had imagined - they were vibrant and had cute blue weights to hold them down. When the birthday boy picked me up for dinner, I was waiting outside with my balloons and cake in tow! He was smiling from ear to ear the whole car ride. That was all the validation I needed!! AMAZING SERVICE! I called in to ask about renting a few helium tanks to fill 450 balloons for my daughter's first birthday (yup super crazy). They even had precut ribbons for purchase which saved me A TON of hassle! Their larger tanks were light enough for me to easily transport. It's so awesome that they offer a variety of sizes because you don't end up paying for more than you need.
