It's not always easy, because some companies required atleast 2 weeks in advance and had turned me down, or they just wasn't really interested in specialized small orders. I reached out to balloon creations on Facebook msger. And within an appropriate time, a response was made. I posted a picture of what I wanted and they went straight to work to see what they could offer me equivalent to what I wanted. Communication was excellent and also the customer service. I wanted a certain heart balloon, and it wasn't available at the time.so they offered something of equal value and balance. When everything was finalized. They still continued to look for the balloon I specifically wanted. They delivered to the hotel I stayed at so I didn't have to deal with the hassle of having balloons shoved in my car and in my face while I was driving. They don't answer their phone and only communicate via email, which makes planning time consuming and difficult. They said to send inspiration photos and that they'd send a few mock designs. After sending photos and a clear explanation of what I wanted, 3 days passed with no response. As the date of my event was getting closer I sent an email to follow up. I got an email immediately with one design, that was not the nicest but fitting with the colors that I asked for. It definitely looked rushed and careless. I then asked for a few changes and if they had any other designs that would match the theme of our event. They sent a few designs that they felt would "look very cute" with our design. The designs and colors were completely unrelated to anything I've sent them. The theme of our event and what I asked for had been completely disregarded. I just didn't feel comfortable with the way the design would turn out. I ended up finding another balloon company at the last minute who got back to me quickly. I'm really happy i had found balloon creations...after calling all these other balloon places i was pretty much over it..some weren't available on my party date (understandable) and some couldn't do what i asked from them or maybe i should say didn't want to do, and one wasn't accommodating... ...i found a balloon person who wanted me to pick up my own balloon garland and assemble it myself, really wanted to support her with her son being autistic and such but she was not accommodating at all especially with delivery, i mean who has a car big enough to transport a balloon garland, number bouquet, and name display...on top of bringing other things for the party...then wanted me to assemble it myself (mind you i have no experience putting balloon garlands together, so what takes them 5 min would probably take me over 10min to do) on top of that, she wanted to charge me almost the same price as Tony ...i wanted someone who could deliver and assemble it, one less thing for me to worry about on my party day.... super glad those people didn't work out because working with Tony was fantastic!!!!! I live in the mainland and wasn't able to visit family in Hawaii for Thanksgiving due to the pandemic so I decided to send some balloons their way to share some holiday spirit. I reached out to Balloon Creations Hawaii via Instagram (IG) a week in advance and submitted my order request through IG Messenger using one of their IG photos as an example of what I wanted. I ordered two orchid balloon arrangements and requested a turkey as well (The turkey was my favorite). They had a variety of colors for the orchids and sent some visual samples for me to choose from. After we sorted out the details they emailed me an invoice where I was able to submit my payment via PayPal. The terms and conditions on the invoice were very clear and the payment process was simple. On delivery day they notified me of their ETA, which was perfect because I got to video chat with my mom during that time and watch her initial reaction. The balloons were so much more than I expected and I was so glad I got to see it in real time even through video chat. I also appreciated how Tony and Tiani practiced guidelines regarding Covid-19, such as wearing masks, during their delivery time. From other reviews and the pictures, I'm sure Balloon Creations does great work, however, my experience with their customer service was not ideal. I contacted them on Wed, 12/1 to inquire about decor for my birthday party on Mon, 12/6. I sent a request via their website and received an email stating they are "currently available to help with a balloon installation on Mon, 12/6". I responded to the email giving them pictures and ideas for the decor, but no response. I tried calling and got their voicemail message instructing to contact them via email. So I sent another email and received the same response that they are "currently available to help with a balloon installation on Mon, 12/6". However, I never got to speak to anyone about the details. I called and left a voicemail the following day and sent another email on Friday requesting for someone to call me. By Saturday, I haven't heard anything, so I sent another email and left another voicemail. Finally by Saturday afternoon, I received a text from them saying they will contact me later that evening to follow up with my event. They said they would double check with their vendors to do a rush order for the decor. At this point, it still sounded like they were going to fulfill my request. I didn't receive any further communication until the next morning on Sunday - 1 day before my event - that they are not able to fulfill any orders at the moment!! :( They said they have a 2 week advance notice to order materials. Although I understand this rule, why didn't they tell me this on Wed, Dec 1, so I have enough time to find another vendor?? They basically left me scrambling to figure out another solution 1 day before my event instead of letting me know right away they can't fulfill the request to give me 5 days to prepare for something else. I sent them an email letting them know this was poor customer service and that I would have hired them for future events, but now I will look for other vendors. So if you decide to go with this vendor, be sure to book them with a 2 week advance notice and be aware they may not respond within the 5 hour timeframe listed on their Yelp page. read more
