They also did intricate designs like lifted trucks with big wheels and unicorns, and some even had blinking lights. They were fantastic with the kids and kept them completely entertained. We booked just the balloon twisting & it was amazing! The iPad with sample photos was so helpful with giving kids options to choose from. And even if people requested options not shown, Balloon Twisters was able to make it happen. This is not just your simple balloon animals copied from a book or beginner tutorial. They add blinking lights to crowns and decor for eyes/whiskers/etc to bring their creations to life. When planning a party, make sure there is an available table for them to set up at. I don't even know where to start with this review. We hired Richard and his company Balloon Twisters Hawaii to provide MC, entertainment, and DJ services for my daughter's graduation party. It was a year and half long endeavor from planning the event to the actual night of the event itself. I was familiar with Balloon Twisters Hawaii because they also provided the entertainment for my niece's 1 year old party many years ago, in addition to that I've attended other events where Balloon Twisters Hawaii provided the entertainment. I just have to say from the beginning, through the middle, and until the end Richard was a consummate professional. He replied right away to my request for a booking, and although we booked him very early he kept in touch with us every step of the way. He was always responsive to my phone calls, texts, and emails. He went over the program with me so that I knew exactly what was going to take place during our event from beginning to end. We got to choose the type of games that our guests would participate in, he tested our slide show to make sure it worked on his system, and most of all when it came time for the event Richard was a natural on stage. He was funny, entertaining, and made everyone feel comfortable with his act, his jokes, and his genuine personality. You can tell Richard loves his job and cares about his customers. He gives a thousand percent effort to make sure he will put on a good show for everyone, whether you are a 1 year old kid or a 100 year old kid Richard will make sure you will have fun and have lots of laughs at any event he is a part of. On the day of the party Richard took care of setting up his equipment, and knew exactly where to position his crew so that they wouldn't get in the way of the guests and the caterers. The pace of the show was perfect, not too long and not too short. Just a little background of what went through "A DAY" before our actual event. The supposed to be venue for our kids 1st and 14th birthday was caught on fire (totally not there fault and I'm praying that they get back on their feet as soon as they can). Anyhow, with that being said, our event got cancelled out and we were left with no place to go but Thank God I chose not good but great vendors for our event and one of them is Kuya Richard Bautista from Balloon Twisters Hawaii. As soon as I told him what happened, in few minutes, he sent me a list of possible venues that would meet our budget, our vendors schedule and our situation at that time. He also adjusted his service schedule despite of him being busy to meet our changed plan. We also run behind due to we only have limited capacity in setting up our venue and for additional tasks we have to do and take care due to the sudden change that my husband and I have to leave the venue to get ready so he took care of almost everything while we were out. He run the event perfectly, entertained the guests and a really good friend of mine told me that he even drove away flies from our appetizer table. He's entertaining and kind to both adults and children. He helps capture my 1 yr old daughter's attention whenever our photographer trying to take pictures of us. His magic show amazed and captures everybodys attention. Nobody left disappointed. His humor, games and shows are totally family friendly. He made sure that the event's highlight will be the celebrants. The games were fun and made my guests engaged. I booked Balloon Twisters Hawaii services through their website, signed their online contract for balloon twisting and face painting for 2 hours. Paid our deposit back in march via Venmo. Day of the party comes and I pay the remaining balance by Venmo. Balloon Twisters Hawaii ended up originally being a no show to my daughter's 1st birthday. After leaving voicemail and texts Richard texted back saying "We apologize for the inconvenience. According to our records, we did not record the Venmo payment on 3/1/2024 thus your event was archived and not officially scheduled. We have noticed your remaining balance payment made today via Venmo. We are unable to schedule staffing at this time." When I received this text I was so disappointed as they were the main entertainment for the kids at the party. I sent screen shot showing my Venmo payment had in fact went through. I had signed their contact and everything looked fine through their website portal of the event. I called Richard again and he was then able to get a face painter to come last minute and he drove over from Ewa to Kaneohe to still provide the service for the party. I appreciated that he dropped everything realizing their error and still were able to be a hit for the kids for last 2 hours of the party. The face painting was beautiful, the balloons were fun! Richard said in text they would refund me and willing to provide a credit for future event, will I end up getting this? not sure I haven't received anything yet. My advice to save yourself stress is do not pay by Venmo and have good communication multiple times ahead of the event to confirm they are booked/coming. I attended a baby's first birthday party and Balloon Twisters were there along with face painting and cotton candy machine. Richard is one of a kind. He's sooo funny, energetic, attentive to detail, and very entertaining. Eric was the emcee and Richard was multi-tasking with making balloon animals and responding to Eric's announcements. That's talent! Richard provided samples of his work on an iPad (or maybe a touch screen computer - I'm not sure). It gave the guests an idea of what they wanted. From animals and mickey mouse ears to guns and big rattles. You'd have to see it to believe it. I asked for yellow Minnie Mouse ears (to be different) and a cute wand. My cousin in the picture did the same as well. Richard is very open to what you want him to make. He can make anything (I believe!!). Very talented person. Richard also performed a magic show that involved the kids and adults. Rare to see this type of performance. Every one had a great time. Lots of laughs. Lots of new memories. The most important thing is that my cousins had a great time (parents of the birthday girl). Eric and Richard were patient with our large families and with the program.
