I posted a review on this business yesterday and decided to remove it and rewrite it. The owner wasn't happy with it and understandably so due to the one star rating. My OPINION is that I feel I wasn't given new balloons for my order. The balloons I received looked EXACTLY like the three that were on display when I first went in which were becoming deflated. I won't go into details as to why I feel the way I do, however the 2 of 3 were under filled with the helium... it looked and felt too soft. I get it that it can't be filled to the max to prevent popping in hot weather but they were not (in my OPINION) filled enough. So will I go back? Obviously not and my one star rating unfortunately stands! read more

I heard good things about this place and brought (my own) two large number balloons to be filled with helium. No customers were in the store at the time so I was helped right away, and told it would cost $9 for helium per balloon. I was a little surprised with the price as $9 for helium seemed pretty expensive, outweighing the cost of the balloons itself. I didn't check other places to compare prices, which I probably should have. I agreed to do it since I was already there and the entire time the lady was complaining about how these were cheap balloons and made in China. She asked where I got them from and I told her online, which is not uncommon these days for party supplies. She commented twice on how the hole for the helium was too small, initially saying it was "broken" and "definitely made in China". She also said the "2" balloon was not the same in appearance as the "2" they sell. She seemed offended that I didn't buy the balloons from her store. She didn't seem to have any problems filling the balloons, and they look perfect to me, despite all her comments about them being cheap and from China. I'm sure there are products in their store made in China as well. Nothing wrong with made in China! read more

I was planning my cousin and his wife's baby shower. I needed to rent an air tank to blow up balloons. This place saved my life! Parking: they don't have parking so you have to result to street parking in front of the store. I actually parked at Ace...not supposed to but I was gonna be quick, so I did. Store: It's a small store. It has some decorations, balloons, etc. It had different size of air tanks to rent as well. Customer Service: Since the baby shower was all the way at Swanzy Beach Park, I had to pick the tank up on Friday morning. I was supposed to return it the next day (day of baby shower). I explained to them that I was going to be on the other side of the island. The lady accommodated me and let me return it on Sunday before they closed. She's awesome! Is definitely be back for party needs. read more

I do not recommend this store product. Because I purchased 5 balloon and next day 3 balloons had hole and it couldn't use those 3 balloons. I have to go buy new balloons at the another place because this store was close on holiday. I went back this store again and asked if I can claim for refund, but store owner says only store credit.... They didn't apologize. I don't want to go back this store anymore!! This shop owner has no sense of customer service. He sold the abused balloon to me. I returned the way he sold the balloons and it had holes !!! But shop owner do not believe me!!!! I have been searching the whole island looking for helium. Party city & party pizzazz is pretty much it. Party city does not sell the tank or regulator, only rent. Air gas does but is really pricey. The owner is really knowledgeable. He answered any questions I had and even went the extra mile to email me links associated with my purchase. He is most definitely the guy for purchasing helium. I am happy that the small shops like party pizzazz are able to be still in business doing unprecedented times like this. Support local! read more

Wide selection of items and excellent, courteous service! Needed a guest sign-in book and it had exactly what I needed.

I had my son's 1st Birthday Party, water themed and had Party Pizzazz help me make it great! The gal I spoke to was helpful and knowledgeable. They delivered the balloons on time with minimal delivery charge. I would definitely go there again instead of the big box competitor. Mainly, because you can't get service the way Party Pizzazz gives service! The outcome was so beautiful with blues, lime green and white balloons as well as about 10 mylar ocean animals. Plus I ordered a small sculpture and it was so cute! I wish the weight was heavy enough that I could've left it outside. It was colorful and bright! My guests loved the lobster and octopus mylars especially. I just wish I had time to take pictures of the final look. Thank you Party Pizzazz! read more

Overall highly recommended. Balloons is something I've been stressing about for my baby shower, and I requested a quote via Yelp and got a reply within an hour. I decided to go ahead and place my order and tell them how I wanted everything set up. They had everything covered as far as balloons, setting up the balloons, and delivering them. They had set them up so fast that by the time I got to the venue, no one was there but everything was all set up perfectly. They put things exactly where I had asked, there was no confusion. I am VERY pleased at what an amazing job they did. Their prices were great, and I will definitely be returning for my sons 1st birthday needs! I would also recommend coming here to grab balloons for smaller events like birthdays of friends and family! They have a great selection on birthday balloons for all ages. read more

Does "size" really matter? Not to me, not since Party Pizzazz proved that "good things" really do "come in small packages" (or stores in this case). Here's my story: I'm so great at procrastinating that I waited till HOURS BEFORE my boyfriend's birthday party to think-up and buy the party decorations. I was not about to drive all the way to Waikele on a SUNDAY to wander around Party City, where I'm sure I would've been overwhelmed with birthday party decorations... Instead, I turned to friend and fellow Yelper kelly k. She suggested Party Pizzazz and had agreed to drive. Okay well, it turns out that I live UBER close to Party Pizzazz... I had no idea this place even existed. She literally drove a block and a half away, or maybe two. Two and a half? ...Point is, we could have walked. Anyway, this place is tiny and very easily missed, which could account for the fact that I had never seen it. I was a bit discouraged when I first saw how small this store was. I wasn't expecting Costco or anything, but I had envisioned it with a little more "pizzazz" and more uhhh...stuff. After walking around a bit, I found the PERFECT "Happy Birthday" sign. Just my luck... it was the display and I couldn't find any others like it. (boo) Fortunately, the party lady was SOOOOOOOOOO unbelievably nice that she let me have it for FREE! Yes, free. And after scanning through the plates, cups, napkins, etc., Kelly and I finally set the party theme: JUNGLE! Haha. I bought the whole jungle set, including the matching balloons and tablecloths (yay). I also picked up some confetti. :) The party decorations were a great success thanks to the help of kelly k. and that wonderful party lady. BTW, Party Pizzazz has all kinds of decorations for retirement, baby showers, and all kinds of special occasions. This is definitely some place to check out the next time you need some party things or balloons. (They have lots of balloons.) read more

Thanks Yelp for helping me discover this little gem. I recently was planning a small birthday dinner for a good friend of mine & wanted to pick up a small arrangement of balloons. My first thought of course was Party City but I jumped on Yelp & searched for party supplies & lo & behold, Yelp pulled up this spot which is located WAY closer to home for me than Party City. I live in Palolo Valley so this was less than a 10 minute drive for me. It was also a Sunday morning when I came in so finding parking was easy. I could see it being difficult during peak hours though as there is only street parking in this immediate area. I expected more party supplies like decorations & things for favors but was fairly impressed with their balloon selection (which, after all, was my main objective anyway). I picked out 3 printed balloons & then had 3 additional pearlized latex balloons added in. They also create huge balloon displays for large parties & centerpieces which is really cool. read more

I may have found the perfect party hack! BALLOONS! Decorations can get super pricey, especially if you are planning to decorate a large facility. I looked into Party Pizzazz to rent a helium tank after finding out prices for inflated balloons from Party City, wayy cheaper to do your own. Ordered flat balloons online (Amazon or Ebay folks!) and ordered the corresponding helium tank at the shop. Felt a little cheated, because the lady that was working convinced me to get the 27cf tank (sizes start at 14cf to 250cf) based on the number of balloons I had ordered, on party day, I had a lot of helium left in the tank, boo. And because they are day rentals, I couldn't find another use for compressed helium that wasn't dangerous or didn't border the line of illegal activity, so I just returned the remaining gas to the shop. Party Pizzazz offers your basic party supplies, like cups, paperware, birthday banners, balloon weights, ribbon and flat balloons. However, dont expect any good range of colors or themes, as they are a small store. read more

Went in to purchase balloons for my husband's birthday. My 3 year old was with me so she insisted we get the huge $13 Olaf balloon. The sales Kady grabbed the one out of the window and said she had just blown it up. By the next day it was losing air. I called to tell them and she kept questioning if I had put a hole in it. I told her it wasn't all the way flat it was just like an old balloon losing air. After a few minutes of a conversation of her Q's me of doing something wrong, she said that I could bring it in so that she could see what happened to the balloon. I have attached a pic of the balloon on day 3. Just beware if you go in to get balloons, have them blow him up in front of you. read more

Here in Honolulu for work and needed some helium balloons for an event I was throwing. I had actually forgotten about needing balloons and called the morning of my event. The woman who helped me was super nice. I described exactly what I wanted over the phone and when I arrived at the store they were ready and perfect. Balloons are a little more expensive here than in LA, but isn't everything a little more expensive in Hawaii? A dozen regular balloons were about $20, I wanted the pearl-kind so mine were around $22. There is metered parking in front of the store, and this area seemed to have lots of parking. It's close enough to Waikiki to be convenient, but far enough away to avoid the craziness that is Waikiki. I will definitely come back if I do another event here that needs balloons. read more

I was planning a Mardi Gras party and needed to find some decorations for the event, and I tried all over the area and couldn't find anywhere that had much. I then found the Party Pizzazz website and they said they had masks, beads and other decorations so I stopped in. As I was coming in, a man was leaving with a beautiful display of balloons for a Mardi Gras party and they had a whole table dedicated to Mardi Gras decorations. I was very impressed with their selection. Much greater than the party sections you'll find at Wal-Mart, Long's, Foodland, etc. They had a great selection of decorations for ever sort of event. I did, however, take off a star because of the price. The same masks they were selling for $1.29 were also on sale at other websites online for $0.20. Though, once you consider the cost of shipping, the time it takes to be delivered and the fact that Party Pizzazz has the widest selection of party supplies I've come across on the island, I think it's worth the increase in price. I would certainly think of them again for the next event I plan. read more

Good customer service. Very helpful and knowledgeable. We rented a helium tank for a reasonable price and they made the process easy.

Very pleased with level of service and products from Party Pizzazz! I used them for balloons to attach to the centerpieces of my daughter's first birthday. I started corresponding with Bennett via Yelp! Message and he was very responsive. I did not have to wait long for an answer at any time. I placed my order, 96 balloons in five different colors, each with different color ribbon. This odd request was no problem at all and they had the exact colors I wanted. A week to the party, I needed to add 30 more balloons. (The girl who I spoke with on the phone was not very helpful. She could not find my order and said she would call me back but never did. The owner was on vacation. She did give him the message though to call me back, which is why I didn't deduct any stars.). I added on 30 more balloons three days to the party with no problem! Might want to take note that my party was on a Sunday and I had a hard time finding a business that could deliver balloons on a Sunday and at 8am. There was a delivery charge of $20 which is reasonable, but in my case, this was downright awesome, because there was no way I was going to be able to blow up, string, and then tie over a hundred balloons to centerpieces in the amount of time we had to decorate. The balloons were delivered before 8am! I was the first to the venue and saw Bennett tying each set of balloons to chairs so we could easily pull them off. Everything from start to finish went so smoothly!! Would definitely recommend them to others and use them again for our next event!! read more

Baby loves balloons! His word for balloons sounds like "BLUE" every time we're at the check-out stands and he looks up with a BIG SMILE to all the mylar balloons on display. So while planning for his first birthday, I had to include balloons as part of the decor. How? The easiest was to use as centerpieces. Next, did I want to blow up almost 50 balloons and put them together and then pass out because every last breath went into blowing those balloons? Sure, there's the helium tank I can rent instead of blowing the balloons but where's the love in that? Okay, so being realistic, I decided to use the services of Party Pizzazz as they had the mylar balloons available in my son's birthday theme and more. I ordered and they put together centerpieces for 6 tables, a check-in balloon arrangement as well as a balloon arch with my son's name. No additional set up fee but you do pay for delivery. They did a great job except I was expecting a fuller spiral like instead of single balloons on the arch for the price quoted. 23 of 31 Yelp 31 Day Challenge read more

LATEX BALLOONS - only last 10hr or more. I did not know this when I purchased 6 latex balloons the night before my daughter's 1st birthday party. I couldn't purchase them the day of because her party was at 10 and the store opens at 10. The morning of the party the balloons were laying on the floor and considerably smaller. It was the 4th of July so there was nothing I could do. Monday morning I called and they told me that it was unfortunate that I did not see the sign saying that latex balloons last approx. 10 hours. The most that they could do was give me 6 more balloons. Since my daughter's party was done and over, this was not helpful at all. I was able to speak to the manager who again offered 6 balloons. He said he was not sure what more he could do. I suggested that perhaps his employees could tell people purchasing latex balloons that they last ~10 hours. Finally, he offered my money back. I returned to the store and they gave me half of my money back. I took pictures of the very small sign (a strip of paper) posted saying how long latex balloons last. The manager mentioned that this is also noted on their website, but I checked and did not see anything as of 7/6/15. This is probably my fourth time purchasing balloons from this place. Two times I bought the foil balloons and twice latex. I am satisfied that in the end the manager did meet me halfway with giving me half of my money back, and hope that this review helps others looking to purchase latex from them, as well as possibly prompt the company to inform their customers of the life expectancy of their latex balloons upon purchase so that this does not have to happen to anyone else. Will still purchase from them in the future. read more

I need to say that I love Party Pizzazz! I have lived near Kaimuki all my life growing up and can say I never have actually stepped inside the store. My mother has been here and I have driven by, but this was my first time doing business with them. I called Friday looking to see if I could get helium for balloons I had purchased for a party. The woman on the phone was so nice and explained to me that because my balloons are latex that it would be better to get them filled Saturday morning so they would stay inflated. I appreciated this because I was having a big party for a football game the next day and wanted everything to be perfect. Saturday morning I strolled in and the same woman who spoke with my over the phone was there in the store. She looked at my balloons and told me how much it would cost etc. She filled them up, matched the string to the colors of our football team and even matched the balloon weight. From start to finish she was helpful, genuine and informative. Everything that a successful small business owner should be! I give Party Pizzazz 5 out of 5! I hope they are here for a long, long time! read more

I was referred to this place by a co-worker. The process of scheduling delivery seemed quite cumbersome. After paying for my order of balloons for delivery, the delivery time kept fluctuating from our agreed upon time. At times it was a stress that was unneeded and undesired. They did amazing job on the balloon arch they did for my son's 1st Birthday Celebration 08/05/18 10 am - 2pm. It was already setup before I could even get there. The balloon arch was setup on stage and the other balloons were in the bundle tied to the high chairs on the right side of the stage. I was the one who tied it to all the pineapples. But I'm glad they setup before we got there and gave us space. The balloons and arch is cheaper than other balloon stores and the delivery fee is not that bad consider they are located in the other side of the island. I was worry that since they are that far from Okinawa Center and I had a lunch time party, I thought they were going to be late but they beat me to it and setup really early. Bennett who took my order over the phone did an amazing job with customer service. I'm just really happy how the arch turned out and how the balloons colors and design really go together. I'm definitely gotta give them a call again for future parties! read more

I guess, it's because it's October...so planning a 21st Mardi Gras theme party is quite a challenge because I'm stressing out on where to get decorations. I went to Party Pizzazz after reading the previous yelper. But I was a little disappointed to find little to no party supplies at all for Mardi Gras. But the lady at the shop made up for it. She was nice and helpful. I emailed Party Pizzaz Honolulu around 10pm that same day and here comes Bennett to save the day! He was so quick to reply back to my emails I thought we were on Instant Messenger. This was my first time using Party Pizzazz for an event and I was super happy! I had my assistant call to get a quote and then I dropped off my balloons to the store. I wanted to get 100 Yelp balloons blown up for a big event and knew that I sure didn't want to do that by hand myself. It ended up being $2.25 per balloon to get them inflated with helium and a $25 delivery charge. If your balloons pop because they're old you'll still be charged because the helium is still being used and that's what you're paying for. I also ordered six giant letters in gold which ended up costing about $20 each. You designate a two hour delivery window before your event and everything was delivered right on time. The balloons totally made my event feel way more festive. If you want to save a little bit of money and go DIY you can also rent helium tents as well! I'll definitely be back the next time I have an event where I need large quantities of decorative balloons. read more
