We hired Isle Media for our wedding, drawn by their attention to detail in response to our original email as we vetted vendors and their beautiful portfolio shared with us in a following meeting. The photos we received for our wedding turned out wonderfully -- our families were so happy with them, and we were grateful to have those memories captured. But sadly, we're now past 8 months since our wedding, and we still haven't received our highlight or full video, despite following up several times. We also asked for a few specific/missing photos (a large group reception shot and a portrait of the bride with her immediate family) that still haven't been delivered. What's been most disappointing is the lack of transparency and communication. We've been incredibly patient, giving space for the creative process and trying not to rush the team. But after so many months and repeated follow-ups, we're left feeling anxious and in the dark. We've just repeatedly been told "next week" for months and now we've reached a point that we've been entirely ghosted. We trusted Isle Media to preserve the emotional essence of a once-in-a-lifetime day -- and now we're afraid we may never get to relive it the way we had hoped. For a service of this cost and significance, this level of delay and silence is deeply disheartening. If/when our remaining photos and videos are delivered at the high-quality standard you would expect from Isle Media, I'll gladly update this review -- but as it stands, I wouldn't want another couple to go through this and therefore can't recommend their services to anyone looking for an event photographer/ videographer. read more

I've seen a lot of wedding videos, from the grainy VHS 80s stuff to the present day and I am blown away by this most of all. The wedding video was one of the most creative and beautiful I've ever seen Alan used black and white photography for the opening, coupled with the best music to add to the mood. As a huge fan of palindrome numbers, for my 888th review, I wanted to highlight an amazing vendor who beautifully captured a cherished moment of our lives. Isle Media was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator, and Alan was very quick and prompt in communications. Justin and Josh worked tirelessly with us on the day of, and was incredibly professional and courteous despite a grueling, nearly full day of shooting. They worked closely and in sync with our photographers throughout the day to capture everything from pre-wedding attire changes throughout different parts of the hotel grounds and the beach, the tea ceremony, the actual ceremony, and all the way through until the end of the reception. And were very knowledgeable in providing guidance and instructions throughout the day. Just a quick 2-days after our wedding day, we received a short clip from Justin with highlights of our wedding day that we were able to share with our friends and family on social media. It's hard to pick the perfect videographer for your special project or for your special day. For us, we wanted to do something different for our wedding and shopped around to find the right company to work with. Isle Media was the first company we met with and Mink was sold. She wanted to work with Alan after seeing some of his work and after she found out he's Thai. So the process began. Alan corresponded with us via text and email. We had an initial meeting with him and he followed up with an email summarizing what was discussed. Shortly after, he drafted a contract and emailed it to us. We reviewed it and asked for a small revision then submitted our deposit to lock in the date. As we approached the date, we contacted him again to prepare for the shoot. He's a busy guy and got back to us as he could with tips to prep us for the shoot. The day of the shoot arrived! 5am and it was pouring rain at the first location. This was disappointing but what made the situation more stressful was that the weather made it unsafe for us to go out to shoot on the boat. We really wanted the boat and Diamond Head/Waikiki Beach in the video. Plan B? We only had moments to think and Alan suggested going East to shoot the sunrise hoping it wasn't raining there. We were in luck and got quite a bit of footage there before the next location. Alan and his team forgot something so they had to go back to grab it before the next location. There was plenty of time so we agreed to meet by the airport at 8:45 to make the scheduled 9:00 plane scene. We arrived at 8:43 and waited but they were stuck in traffic. No biggie because it wasn't raining so we thought we would get some good footage here. They arrived by 9:20 or so and we rushed to the location. It started pouring once we parked! We were disappointed again and prayed for the weather to clear. My friend who was lending us the plane had an appointment to keep and since we were late, we had limited time to shoot. We had limited footage and weren't able to film the plane taking off with aerial footage as we hoped. So far we weren't having much luck with anything. We did what we could with the time that we had. Off to the next location... Luckily our last location was indoors so weather played very little factor in shooting. With the way the day was going, we joked that it wouldn't be raining at the last location. Guess what? It wasn't raining! Oh well...that's how it is sometimes. We shot there and concluded the shoot. Alan did offer to shoot again with the boat if there wasn't enough footage but more than likely they had enough footage. Once the weather improved, we asked about shooting again on the boat but Alan said he would have to charge a fee. We were under the assumption that it would be included since we didn't shoot the full entire time on the original day of shooting. Since we went way over budget on the wedding, we had to decide not to shoot the boat scenes. It was a tough decision but one we had to make. Time passed and it got closer to our departure date for our Thailand ceremony. We contacted Alan again and he replied promptly with a link to our video. He suggested we review it, notate scenes that we would like changed and reply back to the email. During this process, we worked with Rafael on editing. After the first edit, we requested for additional changes and Rafael did a great job at getting back to us quickly. We only did two edits before finalizing the video. Rafael and Alan included our slideshow into the final DVD so that our slideshow would play first and smoothly transition to our video. We thought that was very nice of them to do. The video wasn't exactly what we envisioned from the beginning but it came out better than expected due to the circumstances. Everyone enjoyed the video. They are great to work with, have very creative ideas and are reasonably priced. We recommend them for weddings and special projects. read more

We hired Isle Media just for video for our day of, Alan is so communicative, especially with the difficulties we faced with COVID. When the day finally came, his team there was so great. They were respectful of the surroundings and made sure not to stay in the background but also had a lot of fun with everyone there. My husband and I got married at Turtle Bay Resort last October of 2017. We did a lot of research and found Isle Media. Since we are from Los Angeles, we wouldn't get a chance to meet our videographers/photographers in person until we arrived. To be honest, we were a little nervous at first but that quickly went away after we finally met the team. After a few introductions to our wedding party, they quickly started to set up and before I even realized it, they were already recording and taking photos! Lester and Jeremiah had really great direction. I typically feel awkward posing for photos but they were able to make it feel a lot more natural with their direction. They took into consideration any requests we had and were professional and respectful throughout the whole event. There were so many amazing memories throughout the day and I can honestly say they captured every single one of them. One of the things that caught our attention on Isle Media's website was the drone. A lot of the videos on there featured a drone and the shots looked epic. We knew we had to have one, especially because we were having our wedding on a beautiful island. When the day arrived, the videographers had warned us that the drone might not happen since there were a lot of safety restrictions now. To our surprise, they were able to use it and get these awesome shots of our wedding party and these gorgeous sunset shots of my husband and I walking onto the rocky point behind Turtle Bay Resort! Our videographers, Zach and Travis, were just amazing. They had had really great attention to detail and made our videos look so good on screen. We had a crazy dance competition at one point and they really captured everything from there! Near the end of the night, the team had surprised our guests with a Same Day Edit they had made and it was just perfect! It topped off the night and our friends and family are still talking about how it was such a surprise and delight. The photos, the Same Day Edit, the near 1-hour video...everything was perfect. We had the chance after our wedding to meet the owner of Isle Media, Alan, and we were just so thankful we had chosen them. Let's start with the logistics: Alan, Matt and the team at Isle Media have been so great to work with and have made this entire process very easy from our emails and questions to the actual shots taken at the wedding. They have competitive pricing and came highly recommended from our coordinators. This was a destination wedding for us and we basically needed to hand over our trust to them to capture all of our special moments. I never told them this, but our family has a handful of professional photographers and videographers who were guests in attendance but we did not want them to work our wedding and they were blown away with their work! Let's talk about our wedding day. From the start they captured getting ready shots. They knew all the poses and angles and directed us on what to do. You could tell they knew exactly the shots to take and to also make it come across candid. Both Alan and Matt have personalities to where you can connect with them easily. You could tell this wasn't just a job to them, this is their passion and they fully understand how to make you feel comfortable and special on your big day. After our ceremony Matt and Alan expressed to us how our vows moved them. That in itself was so sweet to hear because it's been a lot getting to this point and for them to recognize that was touching. They had video camera set up in different angles along with Alan and his handheld and capturing everything. We even had a conch shell blower before the bridal entrance (a favorite highlight of mine) and they got it all. Matt took every picture during our vows along with all the pictures I listed with my families and guests afterwards. During dinner time Matt took us around the venue and knew all the fun candid shots to take. He had really cute and fun ideas, you could tell he had a vision he wanted to come to life. Just the sneak peaks he sent over was STUNNNINGGG!!! You know those pictures you see on Pinterest and you're like "I love that and I want those kinds of photos" yeah...he accomplished all of that on his own and DAMN HE DID GOOD! We didn't know we could look like that in a photo. We really felt like you can see our love through his photographs! Alan captured our first dance (which was a surprise choreographed dance) along with our guests' reactions. We even surprised all of our guests with a hula and fire dance show and he made sure to get the best videos of the performers and guests' reactions. One of our absolute favorite parts was when Alan played a same day edit for us and all of our guests to see. I mean, we were sitting there on our wedding day watching our wedding day. It was well put together, seamless, and full of emotion. I highly recommend every couple to do a same day edit because everyone was blown away and it leaves such an impression and everlasting memory for everyone! Isle Media was our engagement and wedding photographer and videographer. They were also the the photographer/videographer for my brother's wedding. From that experience, we knew we had to have them for our wedding. They were one of our first vendors that we booked. Engagement Shoot: Matt from Isle Media shot our engagement photos. The shoot was very easy going and Matt provided a very comfortable environment. It actually rained out on us the first time. Matt was so cool about it and fit us in his schedule within the week. Alan from Isle Media recorded our Love Story. The video itself was great. My stuttering through the whole process, not so much. However, Alan was able to cut and edit my recordings such that it made it 100x better and was able to get through all at once. The drone shots that he took were also amazing!!!! Wedding Day: They were prompt and very professional. Because of Covid restrictions, we had asked them to work with a smaller team so we can meet the max number of guests/vendors and they were able to accommodate. Even with a smaller team, they were able to produce such high quality photos and videos. They have so much experience such that they know what types of photos they should take like wedding detail photos, getting ready photos, etc. Alan (videographer) had a theme/vision since the start of the day, so just remember that everything that they do or ask (poses, locations, etc.) is with that in mind. We did a first look shot and they took us to a bunch of different locations for change in background. The Same Day Edit (SDE) is the knockout/elevator pitch/one-liner that all of our guests loved! It's been a little over a month since our wedding and I swear we've watched it over a hundred times. Remember what I wrote above about Alan's theme/vision. Yeah- this is it! Could not ask for a better feature for our wedding. It's something that we could easily share with all of our guests that could not make it. Post-Wedding: Alan and Matt (Isle Media Team) had an extremely fast turn around for all of our wedding photos and videos. Our family of 17 did a week vacation in Hawaii in honor of my mom's 60th birthday. My husband and I got married at the Halekulani Hotel December 2016, and we received all our final products mid March 2017. I am so impressed with the level of professionalism and the quality of our photos and videos from both our engagement session and wedding. For our engagement session, Lester did an amazing job with our photos. He had so many different cameras with him and took us to various locations on Tantalus. My husband and I are probably the most camera-shy people, and Lester made us feel comfortable (even when we were running late) & we had a great time with him! We used the photos for our wedding site and even showed some to our guests during the reception. We had a different photographer on the day of our wedding (which was slightly disappointing at the time, but Kay was just as awesome). Kay worked so hard throughout the entirety of our wedding from the time I was getting makeup to our final speech. I was in awe of her work ethic, and it showed from the beautiful photos she took. Kay even sent me some photo highlights a couple days after my wedding. I had taken 0 photos that day, so I was happy to see some so soon! Ryan, our second photographer, also did an amazing job capturing moments that we missed. For instance, I didn't get a chance to see our sign, the buffet line, or the guests at the ceremony/reception, and it was nice to have photos of what I missed. Jason, David, and James were our videographers/editors that day, and they captured and produced an amazing Same Day Edit for our reception. As we were saying our goodbyes at the end of the reception, so many guests came up to us and complimented us on the video. I watched the full version a month or so ago, and it is crazy how they were able to select the best moments for our Same Day Edit and within a couple of hours. This has been my second time using Isle Media They always provide excellent customer service and their videos are top notch quality. I had a few special requests of what I wanted them to capture during my daughters first birthday party and they catered to me. I also had no clue what type of music I wanted for my video and left it in their hands ‍ With that being said, they never cease to amaze me. IsleMedia was amazing at capturing all the highlights of our day. They were very organized and responsive to any questions we had throughout our 2-year planning and even up to the very last day. They sent us a questionnaire that we had to fill out in detail to help them figure out what our vision was for our Same Day Edit. We were able to choose the songs from the websites they provided (for copyright purposes). The day of our wedding, we worked with Kela, who shot all the footage, and Mikey, who developed our Same Day Edit. Kela was awesome because he was really efficient and made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera! Towards the end of the reception, they showed the SDE. They provided the projector and the screen for us, which was included in our package. The SDE was everything we asked for and more. It was PERFECT! There was not one dry eye at the reception after that video. We received so many compliments on it and people were so amazed at how fast they were able to piece the footage together; a lot of people have never heard of or seen a SDE before. This is the 2nd review I'm writing for Isle Media. I originally hired Alan as his team to do my wedding and they did an incredible job. No kidding, better than my highest expectations. Fast forward a year, and I needed someone to help me shoot a commercial for my company. The first name that came to mind was Isle Media. Alan and Ezra were available when I needed them, spent careful hours getting the perfect shots and provided really creative ideas and feedback for the shoot. The finished product came back the next week and it was exactly what I was hoping for. I told him they really need to start doing more commercials since the product they provide is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else you'll find in the state. If I could use Isle Media and Alan for all of our events, I would. That might mean I would have to find a side gig, but it would be worth every penny! We first contacted Alan six and a half years ago for videography for our destination wedding in St. Thomas through my best friend. Last minute we had to postpone our wedding a year and he was very understanding, especially since we had to move it to Dallas. The great thing about Isle Media is that they will literally travel anywhere to help your capture your event! Our wedding was captured beautifully and five years later, we still love watching our video with our two beautiful children. He really has a gift and really takes time to understand what you're wanting for your special event and makes accommodations when he can. Recently, we travelled to Maui and Oahu and contacted Alan to capture photos and videos, luckily he was available! He and his team were very helpful in assisting us choose a location and vendors for the special occasion. They were quick to respond and were able to make changes as needThis time it was for my parents plus my aunt and uncles 40th year anniversary and vow renewal. We had 8 families and lots of little children. They worked so well with each individual and family. Alan and Lester captured so many beautiful moments that will be cherished for years to come. I was lucky enough to get engaged and married to the man of my dreams. Immediately I knew that I wanted no one else but the Isle Media team to do my photos. I've been following them on Facebook for awhile and have always enjoyed their beautiful and stunning pictures. Once engaged I contacted Reese on the team and asked him if he could send me information on pricing. I always knew they were an amazing photography team but absolutely had no idea that they were a "one stop shop" for everything you'd need for any occasion! We were impressed with their packages and prices and found them to be extremely reasonable for the exceptional quality you get. We ended up with a package that included our engagement photo shoot, make up/hair trial, wedding day pictures, and hair/make up day of for myself as well as the moms and bridesmaids. My husband and I had a great time working with Reese and his team during our engagement shoot, they made it so fun! We got some amazing pictures downtown that really showcased our love for each other as well as how much fun we have together. His creativity on different shots were so perfect. We also had Reese and his team for our wedding day and he did such a great job capturing the most important day of our lives with our closest friends and family. He captured pictures of certain details, that I would have never thought of, but was so glad he did! Also, the hair and make up were exactly what I was looking for!! Zarah and her team did such a great job listening to me on what I had in mind for my hair and make up and it ended up perfect. I knew that Isle Media was the right team to contact for such a special occasion and I'm so glad that I did. They are so professional, really listen to what you want, and are always fast to respond to any inquiries you have. A bit late (sorry guys!) but they came under high recommendations from our wedding planner and boy are we glad we went with them. They were awesome and our pictures turned out AMAZING! Extremely professional and super easy to work with during our e-mail communications and even better when we met them in person! My husband and I got married last August and great photographers were at the top of our list, we are so blessed to have been able to work with Alan and Lester. They truly know how to work with a couple to help them relax and get the best shots (Just a little bit of background, my husband and I don't often photograph ourselves therefore coming off a bit awkward in most pictures). Even with impromptu family members running in to grab a shot with us and pushing our timeline a little too closely they were accommodating and never once rushed us. I cannot rave enough about Isle Media! I had a destination wedding (in Malaga, Spain) and Alan and his team were so awesome and easy to work with: Flexible, great communication, and super detail oriented. They were also professional while being a ton of fun! I'll be honest, at first I was only looking for a photographer and was hesitant about a video figuring I'd save money where I could. But I'm so glad I decided to get the video made because as the bride, you end up missing out on a lot (like my cute nephews walking down the aisle or our bridal party dancing into the reception) so it was great to see the video recordings after. But more than just any old video recording, what Alan created is above and beyond my expectations. It captured all the right moments, the full emotions of the day, and the love that my husband and I have for each other and for our beloved friends and family. I contracted with Isle Media to help me to compile a couple of short commercials on behalf of my workplace. I took a leap of faith as I know Isle mainly dealt with wedding videography and our budget was very tight. Isle Media's price point was very reasonable and considerably less than what a normal commercial agency would charge. Not to hate on the wedding industry but no joke, these guys should do more commercial work because I just got the product back and it is incredible! The video was beyond my expectations and given the fact that I did not give them much to work with, they created a piece that highlighted the best parts my business. I do expect a huge return on this and I really can't wait to do another video with them once this pandemic has passed. Part of me wants to keep them as my little secret but they really deserve all the credit for a job extremely well done! read more

My now husband and I got married on the North Shore of Oahu in March 2020, just before all heck broke loose. We managed to hold the wedding with all involved remaining healthy! I actually had a maternity shoot with Alan. We really didn't plan on having one but baby was being stubborn and didn't want to come out. So we figured if we took pictures of my belly she'd soon arrive. And she did! 2 days after my shoot!!! I wanted to get all glammed up so Alan suggested a hairstylist/makeup artist. Zairrah was sweet and did a great job with making me look and feel like a model (something very hard to do wen you're 40 weeks pregnant!) She asked me to send her pics of looks that I liked and she did a fantastic job! It also was a very early morning shoot which meant an earlier appt for hair and makeup! After getting dolled up we met up with Alan who was very accommodating. He also asked me to look at different maternity poses and find ones that I liked. We shot at Lanikuhonua on the west side. The weather was dreary. It rained and rained and rained during the shoot. So I was beginning to get a little discouraged with how the pictures would turn out. I had maybe 3 wardrobe changes. We had different shots at different areas of the beach. After we wrapped it up we went home and rested. Later that evening Alan called and told us that my pictures were ready! I was shocked at how fast it was for him to go through the pictures and edit. As soon as we got home from dinner, I popped in the DVD and almost cried! The pictures were AMAZING!!! Totally didn't think he would be able to capture a decent pic with the bad weather and all. I think he did a fantastic job, for his first maternity shoot! If you are thinking about doing maternity photos is def recommend isle media. They were totally professional and easy to work with! read more
