From…read morethe months leading up to our wedding all the way through the big day, they put so much time, thought, and care into making everything perfect! Our wedding didn't follow a traditional timeline, and we had a lot of added logistics, vendors, and surprises planned for our guests throughout the day. There were so many moving pieces, and we are SO happy with how Jonah and her team brought everything together. Jonah was amazing to work with and guided us through every step, both leading up to the wedding and throughout the day itself. On our wedding day, everything flowed so seamlessly that we were able to just be present, enjoy ourselves, and not give a second thought to what was happening behind the scenes. Jonah, Chryssa, and the rest of the team were always one step ahead and made sure we knew exactly where we needed to be and what was happening next. We were truly able to just enjoy the day and trust that everything else was being taken care of. Sunset Ranch is already such a beautiful and special place, but having an incredible team there to bring everything we envisioned to life made it even better. Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more, and we'll always be so thankful to Jonah and the entire Sunset Ranch team for making it happen!! We truly couldn't recommend them enough.

Foster Point Peninsula on Hickam AFB is the absolute worst place for a picnic lunch! Please don't…read morego there. It is so ugly! It is surrounded on three sides by pristine azure waters... YUCK! You can see the skyline of Honolulu and the silhouette of Diamond Head... so horrific! Nearby sail boats gently rock to small waves on the aforementioned pristine azure waters... you do not want to see this! There is no comfortable place to sit and eat. There are only maybe a dozen clean tables from which to choose: some in the shade, some in the sun, and some are under a pavilion to use in the unlikely event it rains during your picnic... Don't take the chance! Today during lunch (well, for the first few minutes) I had to share the peninsula with one other picnicker. Sure he was like 40 yards away, but you shouldn't have to put up with this! And the wind! Today it was so blustery that it threatened to blow my napkin off the table... not once, but TWICE! Oh and it is so noisy... did I mention the sail boats and the waves? Well, they're not silent, ya know! They make this monotonous "lap-lap-lap" sound that might drive you crazy! And you'd be dining only a couple miles from the airport. So as you watch the lumbering jets lift off gracefully into the sky, you can actually hear them. .. It's horrendous! It so far out of the way! It takes minutes and minutes (maybe as many as five) to drive out there from the base proper.... Don't waste your valuable time! So in short, take my advice: Do not put up with ugliness, then uncomfortable conditions, the noisiness, and the long long ride out to Foster Point Peninsula for a picnic lunch! It's just not worth it. But if you do, you'll likely see me there enjoying my picnic lunch; and if you do, feel free to wave. But try to keep your 40 yards separation! ;-)
