I assisted a young cousin from the mainland now stationed at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base plan his elopement with less than 24 hours notice. He doesn't know much about the island except he wanted the ceremony at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Field. I immediately though of the beautiful beaches and locations at Hickam. He and his fiancée immediately selected Foster's Point for the beauty and indescribable aquamarine color of the ocean. We had a quick ceremony under a tree at the point. The photographs were lovely, it's a very special place that will provide them with memories for many years to come.

Bag policy - leave your bags in the car or home. You cannot enter with anything bigger than a small wallet. They will make you check it and pay. Better to not bring at all. Very strict. Tickets - Pearl Harbor itself to enter is free. You cannot pay $1 online to prebook the USS Arizona memorial boat tour in advance or just sign up as soon as you get there and it's free. Each time I've just done the latter and it usually gets me on the boat within an hour. They seem to always have standby but I've only gone in the afternoon. The tickets for everything else, you should look online in advance to include the bowfin and battleship. Those you should book online. Time - if you're not doing any paid additional tours, I would recommend 2-3 hours. There are 2 smaller museum areas to walk through, a walking path outside along the water, a 20+ minute video and the boat tour. You can definitely pair this visit with other activities throughout your day Food - there is a snack shop inside. Bathrooms - at least 2 available on each end Staff - some of the park rangers could be nicer. I've been a few times and one of them, they seemed on a grumpy or angry side. Not because anyone was doing anything they shouldn't be, that's just the way their attitude was but it could have just been a bad day. The memorial is open 7am to 5pm.

The exhibits are well done, especially the historical footage and displays that help you understand the scale of it all. I also liked being able to walk through the submarine, even though it's now docked above water, it still gives you a sense of what life was like inside. It's not exactly a "fun" attraction, but it's an important one and worth visiting for the history and perspective it gives.

I believe I selected the 2nd earliest slot. When you get to Pearl Harbor, there's 2 main exhibits that give a good summary of the history surrounding the events at Pearl Harbor. Those are free and don't require any sort of ticket. I can see it getting fairly busy later in the day, and it might be harder to get up close to some of the displays. Before getting to the USS Arizona, there's a short film and one of the employees emphasized that the USS Arizona is a burial site, so we should be respectful. Afterwards, it was a short boat ride to the USS Arizona. Immediately at the USS Arizona memorial, the mood was very solemn. Over 2 thousand people lost their lives from the attack on Pearl Harbor, and obviously that's a lot of people, but it's hard to imagine/visualize. But at the memorial, all their names are displayed on the wall. It's very emotional to see all those names and to think about what their families and friends must have gone through to learn about what happened to their loved one. It seemed like everyone there was respectful, including children. The memorial itself is not very large, so you can really take your time to look around and read before the next group disembarks and you can take that boat back. There are many other exhibits at the Pearl Harbor site, but as far as I know, they require some sort of entry fee/reservation. History buffs would love this and could easily spend hours looking at everything. Unfortunately I didn't have too much time, so I only went to the USS Arizona but I still enjoyed it and I thought it was very well done.

What sparked our interest in choosing ABC was how genuine their team was, they really made us feel comfortable and we instantly knew we could trust them. HUGE shoutout to Sammy Nishiyama - we don't have enough kind words to say about her. Sammy made the most stressful time in our lives become not so stressful and gave us a sense of calming. She detailed everything out from Vendor communication, picture taking coordination, time of arrival for both grooms and bridal parties for particular events, all the way down to when she was going to come in and pin flowers on the groomsmen's suites. Sammy was extremely detailed and thorough through the entire planning process, she gave us the ability to not have to think about anything. 100/10 would recommend to everyone planning a wedding.

Planning a wedding from California could have been overwhelming, but the Aloha Bridal Company team made the entire process seamless. From our first conversation with Lauren and Mackenzie, we felt confident we were in the right hands and were working with the right wedding planning team in Hawaii. They helped us choose a package that fit our needs perfectly. Throughout the planning process, Mackenzie and Jamie kept everything organized with great communication and helped bring our vision to life beautifully. Anytime we had questions or needed help with finding a vendor, the entire ACB team was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding us what we were looking for. When we were introduced to Sammy, our Lead Coordinator, we knew we were in amazing hands. She was absolutely incredible and wouldn't have wanted anyone but her with us on our day. She was incredibly detail-oriented, organized, responsive, and made everything run smoothly -- from our rehearsal to our Four Seasons Hawaii wedding day itself. ABC also brought their content creator, Jessica, who captured amazing behind-the-scenes moments and shared them with us afterward, which was such a thoughtful bonus. Because of Sammy, Jamie and the entire Aloha Bridal Company team, we were able to truly relax and enjoy every moment of our destination wedding day because the ABC team had everything handled behind the scenes. They even made sure we stayed hydrated and had time to eat -- the little things that make such a difference. If you're looking for a wedding planner in Hawaii, we cannot recommend Aloha Bridal Company enough. Their professionalism, organization, and genuine care truly gave us the wedding of our dreams in a place that means so much to us. We're so grateful for this team and genuinely miss working with them. We hope to see Sammy and the ABC team again the next time we return to Hawaii
