I haven't yelped in a while, but I felt compelled to leave a brief review about my experience at the Louis Vuitton store located on the famous Champs-Élysées. I know enough people come to this location, and they don't need any sort of reviews, but one sales associate in particular helped make my trip to Paris a memorable one. I was visiting Paris with my students as an educational field trip. I personally have spent much time in Paris and feel as though it is a second home. I was happy to share the city with my current history students from the New York City area. Unfortunately, we were with a tour group and we didn't get enough time to do the things we truly wanted to do. Several students' parents gave them money to purchase particular items from Louis Vuitton. Our tour guide gave us about 30 minutes total to walk around the shops of Champs-Élysées...which...how is that even possible? Especially for an avid shopper such as myself. I ran with my students to the Louis Vuitton store. We waited on the line outside and made it in rather quickly. We had just visited the Palace of Versailles earlier in the day, and I wanted to see if any such object could capture the day for me. I browsed around quickly and a beautiful bracelet with rays of a golden sun captured my attention. (Louis XIV, the Sun King, Palace of Versailles...there's your mini history lesson) My students left to go downstairs by the small leather goods as I stayed to inquire about the bracelet. My sales associate's name was Noémi. She was kind-hearted and warm and was happy to help me right away. I didn't have to go looking for an SA, I was approached by different people in the store. She was helpful and informative, giving me a quick lesson on the history and inspiration behind the bracelet as well. I told her it reminded me of Louis XIV, she concurred, we chatted, it was the perfect token of my trip, and boom. I knew I wanted it. What I loved about this location is...I was dressed like a complete schlub. Jeans. Sneakers. Ragged shirt. Frizzy hair and no makeup. Just a plain tote bag. There was not a single thing about me that made me stand out as a luxury lover even though I am a luxury fiend. Schlubbiness didn't seem to matter; I received the same level of service as anyone else. (It should be like this everywhere, but as you know, that isn't always the case.) Here's where the awesomeness comes in: I told Noémi that I was in a rush and had less than 10 minutes to get back to my tour group. Explained I was a teacher with my students, etc. etc. And guess what? She was still so happy to help! There was one bracelet left in the back and she rushed to get it. I'm talking, I got incredible service, and with a smile she assured me she would have everything wrapped and ready to go in less than 10 minutes. And she did. I don't know how she did it, but the transaction took less than 8 minutes. And I still received that special treatment one only receives at a luxury retailer. My students, on the other hand, had a different experience. Because of the time crunch, sales associates on the other floors said they couldn't help them because there wasn't enough time. They ended up leaving empty handed. All that to say, my five stars go to Noémi. I'm sure my students would say otherwise about the sales associates that failed to help them. But my experience was perfect. And I'm so happy to have something so simple yet meaningful from this world-famous luxury destination. (Just an FYI for anyone planning a visit: Bring your passport to be tax exempt! Do not forget it.) read more

I came here with my mom during the end of February 2017. It was cold and sprinkling. But it was worth the wait. We only had 2hr to shop so we ran off the tour bus with other people from the tour group. There was maybe a 15-30min wait. It is indeed the flagship store and it was super packed of fellow tourist. There were a lot of employees on duty that day, but I feel like what most other reviewers have mentioned they pick and choose who to assist. But I did my research and I knew how to approach some of the CA's. I knew exactly what I was looking for so, I asked them directly was brought upstairs to the belt. I think from our overall trip I visited about 5 Louis Vuitton stores in my 13 city tour across Europe. And I feel like this flagship store is really really busy, but I recommended doing your rescearch and make a list of what you want, and don't be afraid to ask for someone once you enter. And I will say be prepared to wait to have your account created if it's your first time making a purchase. And paying and wrapping your items is a bit long of a wait as well. Expect about 15-20 min for registerating, and 30-45 mins to pay and gift wrap. But overall, nice experience. The line is probably quicker than the Louis Vuitton store in the layfette galleria. read more

We just spent over $10k and was shopping there for almost 3 hrs. After drinking their free champagne, water and juice we asked to use the bathroom and they said they don't have any for the public, but 5 mins later I see them letting another lady use their bathroom! What a joke! Chanel purses cost more & they let you use their bathroom! You would think from the amount of $$ we just dropped you would have let us use it. Plus, being a flagship store they had a lot of items that were out of stock. SMH. The other LV a couple of blocks away has better service, friendlier staff and no line. We had the best time here at the flagship store. The store itself is beautiful. Our sales associate Elisee was fantastic and so helpful. She helped us find just what we were looking for. She got my husband's wallet hot stamped upstairs on the 4th floor and we were able to see Champs-Elysees from up high, it was beautiful. Our sales associate was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the VAT refund process. She even monogrammed our perfume and cologne bottles! We went in October and maybe waited in line for 5 minutes to enter the store. We had to wait a few minutes to get a sales associate to assist us, but once we did, she was with us exclusively. We were treated very nicely when we were there, they offered us champagne several times. We left with two large bags! This was honestly one of our favorite things we did in Paris! read more

Was helped by Ambre. She never smiled didn't seem interested in helping me. I bought a couple of shoes and I asked her if she could fix the lace and she said no bc we have to fix it to our like long. I just wanted her to lace it so I try it on properly. Anyways, I went back a second time for purses and men's shoes and belt. There was a guy causing a scene in the men's department so the whole attention was directed to him. Lines weren't moving. I messaged Ambre for an appointment and she never responded. I messaged her again, her response was "Sorry". They can honestly hire monkeys who would get better service. Back home I will tell ppl to skip Louis Vuitton and do Chanel. TIPS: 1. Take your passport with you when shopping. They will enter all the information to make getting your rebate/refund a one-click process at the airport. 2. Ask for champagne. They cannot offer it to you, but they will give champagne upon request. 3. Ask about incentives...we were able to get free in-house monograms because we purchased 2 bags. 4. If you're getting your bag monogrammed and they tell you it'll be 20 minutes, just plan to be there an hour longer. It seems the customer service floor kept telling each customer it would be 20 minutes instead of an hour and half. Hubbalicious and I were going to wait for our trip to Toronto to splurge because we thought the dollar conversion rate is better than the Pound or Euro. A group of friends convinced us that the best deal would be to purchase in Paris and THEY WERE RIGHT!!! We purchased the Speedy 30 Bandouliere and the KeepAll Bandouliere 45. These would've ran us $3000 in the US, but with included tax, conversion rate, and refund at the airport we saved $1000. There's usually a healthy line around the store, but when we went on a Sunday, just before closing, there were only 10ish people in line. The security came to the back of the line and asked if my husband, mom, and I were together. After we told him yes, he let us bypass the line and enter the store. When we left, we circled back towards the front to head to our hotel. The same security guard smiled at us and said he knew we were going to make purchases. We walked around the store, until we spotted what we were looking for. The staff, for the most part was friendly. We were offered water or juice while deciding. Our sales associate wasn't the friendliest, but every other staff member was super friendly to us. When we made our final purchase, we were escorted out an exit with a security guard. read more

I love this place! I spent hours on end in the store trying to select what item I wanted to treat myself to for my 30th birthday. The staff was so friendly. They even gave me time to think on what I wanted. I left and came back and decided on my bag. They rolled out the red carpet when it was time for me to make my purchase. The climax of our Paris trip was supposed to have been taking my Louis Vuitton-loving partner to their flagship store on the Champs Elysees to buy her whatever bag she wanted as the ultimate souvenir. This store is a complete madhouse. When you go to a LV store in the states, you get the same experience as buying a Mercedes at a Mercedes dealership. Hell, they even usually put on white gloves before they touch their products. The Champs Elysees LV store, comparatively, is a complete madhouse. We waited in line a half hour to get in (which I guess is normal?) but once we got inside, it was like a Walmart on Black Friday. There's way more people allowed in the store than there are people to help them, and what I was hoping was going to be a really special experience turned into us doing laps around the store trying to find literally anyone who wanted to take my money. We eventually found someone who told us to go sit somewhere, we waited a good twenty minutes, another person came around to ask if we were being helped, and eventually returned ten minutes later with an iPad to pick out what we wanted. There wasn't any kind of personalized experience, no assistance from staff, just a "Here's what we have what do you want?" ...Except they never even returned to see what we wanted. After another fifteen minutes or so we just said screw it and left. We ended up buying a bag from the store near The Louvre, which was more in line with what we'd expect from the LV experience and was staffed by people who were actually interested in taking our money. I'm still blown away how bad this location was, as in the US, LV is a borderline exotically luxurious brand. On the Champs Elysees, it's like shopping at Kohls with a few zeroes added to the price of everything. How strange. read more

Beyond disappointed!!! All I look forward to when I came to Paris was to be able to purchase a Louis purse directly from the store. It is beyond me how a place that sells a product so expensive has lines outside the door. I walked over an hour to get to this location to let me turn down stating they close the line 30 minutes prior to closing time. Very upset and very disappointed... None the less leaving empty handed. I went to Paris with my mom and sister so this place was a must visit on our list. This one is apparently the flagship store. It's in the heart of Champs Elysees and is very noticeable. So it is hard to miss. There's usually a line outside but there wasn't any when we decide to go in. It was raining so that could've been the reason. There's security who checks your bags and etc. And if you're planning on taking pictures or filming then they will kindly tell you not to. The whole store is a bit overwhelming for me. There's just so much stuff to choose from. But the store does a good job of providing assistance. Everyone was happy to help and accommodate you. Most of the store are for women but there's a nice space for men's stuff. My mom and sis ended up buying two purses. They said it was much cheaper in Paris than in the US. The lady who helped us went through all the process & paperwork and explained to us how we can get the taxes refunded. Bring your passport! Overall, it was a fun experience. If I ever decide to buy anything Louis Vuitton, I'll probably hold up til the next time I visit this place. read more

You have to love the flagship store! I was like a kid in a lego store. I didnt know which floor to start but shortly upon entering a host asked if i needed help. With a stroller, the elevator made it really easy to get me to the 2nd floor or was it 3? Shoes! I ended up standing around while i was obviously trying on the sample shoes. Finally somebody, Ivan came by and helped me out. Even then i had to ask for a drink for my son and mom even tho every purchaser was being served. I ended up with the cutest high tops. They helped with tax info and how to get it back once leaving the airport. This store has every collection from clothing to scarves. Must come if you are a fan. By far one of the BEST shopping experiences ever! My first time in Paris and I was a tad hesitant to come in to Louis Vuitton. Why? Prior to visiting I came from Hermés and Chanel and the customer service wasn't very great at those fashion houses. They just had that vibe that they could treat you a certain way because they knew they could get away with it since their product has such a high demand (such as the much coveted Birkin and Kelly, they make you "work" for those). Thus, I was scared I'd receive the same treatment at Louis. That was not the case! I received EXCELLENT Customer Service here. Upon entering, I immediately went to the mens section just to browse the items on my wish list. I was greeted by Arshad (who will be my SA when I go back to Paris one day) and he was training Sharit (Not sure if I spelled her name right). I just want to say they offered the best customer service ever! They offered me coffee, water and even champagne when I told them I was shopping for my belated 30th birthday gift. I mean how awesome is that? I've never been offered that at the Westfield Valley Fair Mall location in San Jose/Santa Clara, CA (USA). Perhaps it's because it the mothership Flagship store? Anyways, Arshad and Sharit were super patient with me going through my wish list. As of this writing, November 2016 - Louis Vuitton came out with a new canvas: Monogram Eclipse. This to me is a more masculine version of the much seen "LV" purses you'll see woman carrying but in a fresh, NEW black and grey (or white? Basically the same colors as the Damier Graphite). I ended up purchasing a Briefcase Explorer, Pocket Organizer and a LV Initiales belt. However, before I checked out I also really wanted a practical bag: the Michael backpack. But with two finishes to choose from, I was torn. Did I want Damier Graphite Canvas or did I want Damier Infini Leather? Ultimately, I was sold on the all leather, Damier Inifini Leather Bag. I figured why not? I'm in Paris and if you're not familiar, the bags are MUCH cheaper here AND you get a VAT refund on top of the prices you see. So what would cost $3600+Tax, the backpack was around $2400. That's how much the Canvas one costs in the US NOT including tax! So I bit the bullet and got the leather one (Plus I LOVE the gun metal hardware vs. the shiny silver hardware). Overall, I had a pleasant experience coming to Louis Vuitton, Paris. While I know expensive luxury brands don't appeal to everyone, it's FASHION and you're paying for the craftsmanship of the product. While okay, it may not be like Hermés where an artisan "supposedly" makes every single piece by hand, BUT I do think they still make things by hand to a certain extent which makes it worth it. This by far was the best shopping experience of my life! I showed up on a Sunday morning 10min before they opened and there was a line forming already. I've been to Paris several times before and seen the Louis Vuitton store several times, but didn't want to mess with the crowd attempting to go in. This time I went a different route and went at the opening. Soon as the store opened I was greeted by one of the lovely staff members who took me to the department I was looking for. The sales clerk was extremely knowledgable on the brand and took pride in working there. This store is fantastic. From the towering outside facade to the beautiful inside floors, I was impressed. Each floor/room has a different feel to it. It's fun to just walk around the floors and inspect all the decor and items they have showcased as well as their collection of books. The first floor/entry is always ridiculously packed full of people and the SAs try their best to help everyone there but it's very cutthroat. If you come here, just go on to the higher floors; most of them have the same merchandise (and others you wouldn't see on the 1st) and they are FAR less busy. Your SA will help you with what you want anyway, so they can get you items from anywhere in the store. I came in knowing exactly what I was going to buy (Joey Monogram Mulitcolore wallet), and the SA was very friendly and quick about getting it out. She gave me time to look at it and inspect and then escorted me to the counter and while waiting in line to pay we had a nice chat. She made sure I had all the VAT forms set, and when they charged my card they gave me the option to charge in Euros or USD (Hint: just charge Euros, your CC's exchange rate is cheaper). They wrapped up all my receipts, filled out the VAT form for me, handed me my bag and I was done. Amazing experience. My sister and mom went in not knowing what they wanted and their SA helped them for a good hour to find exactly what they wanted, and they came out very happy as well. I specifically waited to go to Paris to buy an LV item because of the price differential from those in the US. In California the Joey wallet I bought was $905 + 9.5% tax which would be around $1,000. In Paris, partially thanks to the depreciating Euro, the total came to be $706, and I got $61 back from my VAT refund, so the total cost was $645. Saving ~$350 was well worth waiting. For VAT refund options, you have two: Credit card refund, which is 12% back but takes several weeks - 2 months. Cash refund, which is 10.8% back. Now, for those wanting cash and leaving out of the UK (which I did), you have to go to the VAT refund office (3rd floor if in Heathrow T4, look for the large red sign). This is run by Travelex and as a result they will take a commission from your total VAT, which is about 2.8 pounds per item. There's not much other option, so I just bit the bullet. read more

**PRIME TIME FLAG SHIP LOUIS VUITTON STORE IN PARIS** There was a line to get into this store. Yes, a f'ing line. But the staff was professional and courteous about the wait. PURCHASED: *ARTSY AURORE - leather handbag (1,830 EUR) *ROSSMORE AMARANTE - clutch (750 EUR) *NEO CARTES GRAPHITE - men's wallet (168 EUR) *CURIEUSE ARORE - matching wallet to leather handbag (495 EUR) Not sure if these were actually cheaper than US prices, but we were able to save with the TAX FREE shopping. The salesperson filled out the Global Blue forms. Remember to: (1) Bring a copy of your passport. (2) Get the forms stamped at the airport and then drop off the form AT the airport (designated postal boxes). A bit over crowded and touristy. 90% Asians, 10% other. The store earns 5 Stars because: + A 5 story building filled with every Louis Vuitton product imaginable + The store is neat & very organize + Although the place was packed, a friendly sales person immediately approached me for assistance + My sales person waited exclusively on me. She wouldn't answer questions from any other customers while she was assisting me. + I saved a little money on my 3 handbags becuz of the euro prices & VAT refund. + My sales person gave me the BEST tip - leave your light colored handle bag up against a window so that it is exposed to the sunlight & the handles will turn darker. I'm really not bougy, really! I think by being Asian, we are supposed to shop at Vuitton aren't we? I mean, there are so many Chinese women asking me to buy them two bags, trying to shove money at me to do it....hmmmmm. I know that there is an air of bougy when one carries Louis or any designer bag. There's a sense of pride walking down the street like some rapper hiphop star rocking your Vuitton. This flagship store is quite large and allows only a few people in at a time. The selection is like any back home in the states, but back in 2008 when we visited the first time, the bag we purchased actually ended up being cheaper than if we were to have purchased the bag in the states. The staff is helpful and speaks English, so don't be intimidated because the extent of your French ends with fries! If you are in to luxury hand bags, or just Louis Vuitton in general, there is absolutely no reason to give this place less than a perfect score. Why would you buy one in Beverly Hills, Santa Clara Valley Fair, or New York and give those stores a better rating then the freakin FLAG SHIP STORE WHERE IT ALL BEGAN?? HERE IN PARIS, FRANCE?!? Someone complained about no water, no luxury, no special shopping trip feeling? Never felt that in the other locations either, and we've been there too. Plenty of women.. and men, can brag or show off their LV items, but only a handful can say they actually got theirs IN PARIS, AT THE CHAMPS-ELYSEES store! And now we can be part of that group. Everyone we've encountered seemed to speak English very well, and knew all about the VAT refund and proper forms etc. Before anyone asks, yes you still get that signature box, and the bag also. I don't remember from our purchase in the USA, but yes the bag (not box but bag to put the box in) does say LV Paris. The bag we purchased ALSO is actually made in France and says so--check yours, a lot are not even made in France (doesn't mean it's fake or less of an actual LV, but don't it just feel nicer when the one you own is actually made in France?) After calculating the conversion, prices, VAT refund, etc, we do save a good amount. So if you were thinking of getting an LV bag/item from the USA, but planning on going to Paris soon, just wait and buy it here. I mean come on, LV IN PARIS! On my visit, there was no line to get in, they just let people in no problem. I was not afraid of being a tourist or clearly show I was a tourist and I was snapping pictures, and the gentlemen who just stand there did tell me "no foto" All good though, by the time they told me I've already taken plenty of "photos". Overall it was a great buying experience and I just wish we had more money to buy more haha. read more

Here is the thing about this store, and I can understand the mixed reviews that it gets from those who visit this place. First off, its a mad house when you have that many women in the store... and in particular when you have that many international asian women, which causes the employees to have to try to tame the wild masses. When we came in, it was impossible to get anyone to assist us. We literally stood in the center of the store looking around to see if someone could help us for almost 20 minutes. In addition, my wife was told not to get near one of the purses even though she wasn't touching it, but we were just waiting for help to purchase. I had to ask a manager for assistance, which he said someone would come to help us. So we waited... for a while... another 15 minutes. Just as we were about to walk out of the door, he brought someone to help us. By that time I was a little upset and my wife was perturbed. Once we did get someone, the personal assistant provided us with his total attention. Took care of us from the beginning to the end. He allowed my wife all the time in the world for her to make a decision as to what she wanted to get... went all over the store searching for different items to give her more options, and then brought us champagne to celebrate once she made the purchase. What you have to understand though is that people can be rude, especially in an international environment... and we had a couple Asian customers literally just take the purse out of my wife's hand so that they can look at it. Seriously??? Even the assistant looked at them and was like what?? Its because of this that I can see the staff having to put these crazy women in place because they can be vicious. Overall, after the initial debacle, I have to say we had a wonderful experience with our personal assistant. As long as my wife is happy... that's all that matters to me. read more

How can you not love going to the LV flagship store while in Paris?! I decided that if I was going to buy my first LV I was going to do in our a trip to Paris! The store is beautiful! The staff was so great and although it was busy, helped me out right away. I had such a great experience shopping at this flagship LV store, that I ended up buying 3 bags! It was a ten minute wait to get inside and I was amazed at the size of this store upon walking in. There were sales associates everywhere! But getting the attention of one was really difficult. Maybe because I look like an unassuming tourist, that had no intention to buy anything. I ended up having to grab the attention of an Asian lady and she look kinda impatient to help me. When I asked to see the Daumier print in the speedy 30, she told me that she didn't have it on the lower floor and sent me away! So off I went to the second floor, and I felt kinda lost, and was one minute away from writing a bad yelp review when I was greeted by Ethan freer who was originally from Pittsburgh US. He was so friendly, patient and helpful, giving me suggestions along the way, providing drinks (champagne included) and explaining the VAT refund process to me. It was overall a really positive experience. I felts like I was on a high after shopping knowing my hubby spent lots of money for my new babies but on the bright side they were at 40% off California prices. Luv it! read more

While walking down the Champs-Elysées, we come upon the flagship Louis Vuitton store and go inside. First of all, if you're a fashionista or know one, you'll know that LV is expensive, popular, and for whatever reason, a status symbol. But what you might not know is that the flagship store in Paris has an art gallery upstairs on the top floor. Originally, we just decided to shop around. Grace C. wanted to inquire about a purple bag she had seen online but was sold out. The associate even went so far as to check the inventory of all the other stores in Paris to see if one was available. No such luck. It must be popular. Anyway, I didn't need anything because I had already bought something at a different LV store in Verona. If I had known that I'd be at the flagship store in Paris, I might have waited. But I'm glad I didn't. This place is a mad house full of shoppers. The staff was incredibly nice and happy despite the onslaught of visitors. It was the weekend after New Years and this place was packed to the brim with women. There is a womens' floor, mens' floor, luggage floor, and on top a small art gallery. There are some items here that is not found anywhere else. Colors I've never seen on bags before and even a black and gray Damier print. Turns out I need to check their website more often because they do sell some of these items online. The elevator was padded and kept in complete darkness. It was the artist's idea to isolate his audience from sight, sound, and touch before entering the gallery. Interesting idea and the elevator attendant warned us so as to not freak anyone out. I imagine if you were claustrophobic or nyctophobic, you'd have a problem with this. However, it does prep you to be immersed in a completely different environment from which you came. During the time we were there, the art displayed was very contemporary. Some of the work was from 2013. It was nice and quiet and the store has great views of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the distance. It's a good place to visit if you're an LV fan, otherwise you can gawk as you pass by the windows. read more

I would love this place had it not been for the incredibly HORRIBLE service. There was this one lady helping me that had the most impatient personality on planet earth. I am an extremely easy person, but this person definitely lit my fire. She should not represent such a refined company. Louis Vuitton check your employees. first off all if your from US and have something you want to buy and purchase without forming a long lines outside ask for Ana Avagyan, she speak english and traveled US as well, it took me 3 weeks to put a review since my last paris trip from oct 25 to 31. Again u ask for Ana if you want a quich help and style in your mind that you like to buy. So my experience is not that good its lots of asian chinese/viet/european buying massive LV purse. I was just looking around and feeling givin up coz no one will help me and no one bother ask, Then boom Ana approach me and tell me what size i like would love to try on the belt, ( i am not feeling great at all coz too much people and so loud and i dont wait at all) But ana make my time worth it, she showed the sizes of belt and help me pick my size, the rest is history, i went overboard in my shopping without planning. We came here several times during our stay and service was great and got better and better each time. Don't believe it when they say the sales people are rude. They're not! During our last visit, they didn't have the bag I wanted but called and held it for me at the Montaigne location. They actually even gave me a VIP tour of all the fine jewelry and even showed me the LV diamond that comes in the shape of their logo. I didn't even know it existed but it was beautiful. They also gave us a tour of the bookshop within this store and said that most people don't even know it's there. To top it off, they gave us tickets to the LV foundation featuring Frank Gehry's works. We absolute loved the Great Service! Love this store. Love the bags, and loved all the great help. When you visit you will be greeted by two security guards who will check your bags. Once you are inside except to be assaulted with the the beauty of their products. You will notice books near the staircase. Scarves and near the front door and men's items are off to the right hand side. I was pleasantly surprised to find that most of the sales people spoke two to three three languages. They will slips there hands in to white gloves when they present you with their products. It is obvious that the staff is well trained in the art of the sale of high priced leather goods. read more

We had gone here with the intent to buy a rolling luggage bag/ Pegasus 55 but having walked around the place for over an hour we were acknowledged by only two individuals and they were acknowledging us in passing while waiting on other clients. I am usually not one to complain publicly but in my opinion the service was really really bad here and I choose who to patronize or not based on service. I stood back and observed the staff time and time again rush to help large groups of Asian clientele that had walked in while smaller group, especially we two, got ignored. We even say at one of the review desks for over 5 mins and opened the bag and discussed...still no one walked over to assist. There were several staffers just perched behind counters in pairs who never came out to greet us. Perhaps this is a Paris thing but our experience in the Frankfurt Germany location was hands down a better servicing experience. read more
