On this particular day the store was very busy so we had to wait a little bit before someone could help us. My wife already knew what she wanted and so all she had to do was show Vincent, the person assigned to help us. Vincent politely told us that they sold out on what she wanted. Never did I think I'd actually wait in line to shop in any store but when all over the entirety of Europe did we see lines to get into Louis Vuitton, I knew what was coming And being a flagship store right on Champs Elysees, yup, big huge line. But the difference here was that I knew a bag I was hunting was only at this store so Mr & I had to get inside so we waited......for 20 min outside And I make the distinction of outside because we also waited another 20 min inside to be assisted.....and this was after placing our names on a waiting list. I will make it a point to purchase something from this LV store every time I go to Paris. I went in a couple of times the first time I was in Paris and again my second time. Each experience was wonderful and smooth. Sure, there are lines but it's never too long. When it's raining, they will provide people in line with an umbrella. I think this small gesture is very considerate! Once inside, you may have to wait as the sales associate assist the clients one on one. They have a great inventory and nothing that I've ever wanted has been out of stock (except the inverted pochette metis!) They will offer you drinks (champagne, coffee, water, juice etc.) while you shop and it's served on a cute little tray. The sales associate are not snobby at all (even when I walked in wearing a red flannel, short shorts and flip flops)! After standing in a 5 min line to enter the store, we browsed for browsing sake then set to the task at hand- the items on my list. The sales people are extremely busy as this location is bursting with sales, and they honestly dont have time for you to have a Bfast in Tiffanys moment browsing and asking to see every bag. Once I approved the items, he took them to be wrapped and started working on my VAT tax forms. It's a long line to get in due to the high demand and limited personal shoppers but it's worth the wait if you do decide to shop here for an item. They have everything you'd ever imagine. I noticed more clothes and accessories than your regular LV store. It's about 4-5 levels of just everything. We did indeed buy something and it was the grand prize. My fiancée bought their only XXL City Steamer travel bag. We sipped champagne while waiting and toasted to our buy. The customer service was amazing, the staff were courteous, the selection was large, the building is two floors, elegant and nicely decorated. Marc was delightful... looked up what stock he had that I wanted... -didnt rush me.. we looked at 10-15 pieces -he offered some pink champs as we we waited for him to track down a new piece I was looking for. Ended up getting a few things. -VAT paperwork was a breeze, offered free monogram which I declined. -he also offered to send my items via delivery service to our hotel (we ended up just calling an uber so we didnt stick out). Uber is super easy here and for the time savings to get picked up or dropped off anywhere its a huge plus! The Louis Vuitton location at the Champs Elysees is the flagship location of this store in the world. When protests hit Paris this store was targeted for a reason. It's literally mobbed with tourists looking to get a hand on one of their thousands of products in the store. We were staying a couple of minutes from this store and I am glad we weren't far away as it took at least 8 visits for Rabia J to finally get what she wanted. They special ordered a purse for her and it ended up taking 2 days and several delays for it to arrive. In the meantime we were able to experience luxury at its finest and by the time we made our last visit we were regulars at this store and everyone pretty much knew who we were. Loved shopping at the original LV store! It was quite busy when we came, and there was a line at the door but it went quickly. Got offered champagne when they realized I wanted to buy something and wasn't just browsing, and picked up the Neverfull I wanted. I was worried it would be out of stock, but they were stocked pretty well! It is cheaper to buy it in Paris than the US for me, but check your prices and your exchange rate (can go to LV France website and your country's website and compare.) Bring your passport if you're eligible for detax! The LV customer service lady was so nice and helped with the form. Scan and drop off form at the airport, pretty easy. I could choose between getting ~10% back in cash or ~12% back on my credit card. I chose credit card for ease, and I'm glad I did because the line to get cash at CDG was long. My friend and I went to another LV at the Lafayette mall, and after 30 mins, the line didn't move so we ended up just leaving. I would definitely check this LV first. Mélina is absolutely amazing. She was extremely patient with my friend and I, showing us all options from small key chain wallets to big bags. She spent over two hours ensuring we got the right products / colors. Additionally, we didn't know we needed our passports, so she put our items on hold, made us an appointment to come back, and even saw an item we wanted later in the day, and put it on hold since it was the last one (without even asking). We were greeted and a salesperson came to assist us right the way and offered drinks. And there were a lot of people. It was a cold snowy blustery day in February in Paris, France. Walking down Champs Elysee I see a 2 story LV store. I thought what's the harm in browsing. I'm NOT buying. Before you enter you walk on the red carpet and pass through a security check. Lucky me in the harsh weather - no one was in line. The store is beautifully laid out. They don't display all the goods. You have to ask for it & they wear gloves when handling the purses. Some of the staff are bilingual and quite helpful. There's no pressure to buy. As I was walking around the store I was texting my friend in California who was in Paris a few years prior. She was encouraging me to get a purse as she found it to be cheaper in Paris than in the US less VAT. Hard to believe. Louis Vuitton & cheap, an oxymoron. Great to be able to google anything anywhere so I started comparing US vs. Paris pricing and found that my friend was correct indeed. Converting Euros to US$, less VAT, It was cheaper in Paris. As I was looking at purses Phillipe a nice Frenchman offered me some Champagne, a powerful sales tool, hypnotic effect made me choose one I really liked a Croisette. As I was ready to buy I asked for the Valued Added Tax (VAT) refund document & learned that it's common & can be easily produced. You must present your passport to prove you're a visitor. Important tip: the VAT refund doc requires a Customs stamp when you exit the EU country. You must have the unused item with you to show Customs. Also look up EU VAT online for more info. Make sure you have enough time before your flight. Before I got on my flight home from London I got my docs stamped & was able to drop the stamped envelope at a post office box (Poste) in the airport. Cool thing happened. As I was looking for the Poste to mail my document I asked an employee at Gatwick where it was. Ahhhh Paris, what a beautiful place! When one wants to purchase a Louis Vuitton bag, the place to do so is at the original flagship LV store at the Avenue de Champs-Elysees in Paris. What an amazing experience that I will never forget. Even better is the fact that I saved $500 purchasing my handbag here rather than just purchasing it back home (word of advice: make your purchase in euros, not USD to maximize your savings). Upon arrival to the store, I noticed that there was a short line down the block filled with tourists and a bunch of teenagers who I'm sure weren't going to purchase anything. Once they accepted that they weren't planning on purchasing anything, they moved out of the line, and I was in the door in about five minutes.I'll admit that I read the reviews for this store and set my expectations accordingly, so I conceded that I was going to have to wait a few minutes to be approached by a sales associate, but once I did, he was mine and mine only for the full two hours that I was there. The store itself is beautiful. About eight huge floors total, with me actually estimating about five floors full of actual merchandise. One floor seemed to be like a lounge, another floor was for customer relations (in which I received my initials custom tailored on my bag for free). And lastly, the top floor consists of a museum in dedication to Mr Louis. The store was also filled with many books and magazines related to both art and fashion, which apparently was very important to Mr Louis Vuitton. My sales associate was extremely sweet, and also very attractive. He spoke Spanish, Italian, English and of course, French. He told me that most of the associates that work there speak about four or so languages, with English being the most important. He asked me what I was interested in and carefully walked me around the whole entire store, picking out things he thought I would like. He also emphasized for me to take my time and not rush into a decision. Oh yeah, and during this time, I was supplied with several glasses of champagne, Veuve Clicquot to be exact. I suppose they thought that getting me tipsy would make me spend more money, but I pretty much had my eyes on one specific bag. The icing on the cake was that they let me pick out some designs and color to get my initials on my bag for free. I am so happy with my purchase and I have already determined to buy another bag on my return trip to Paris. It's definitely worth saving up to come here to make your LV purchases. The only thing I wish I had on my bag was a tag that indicated that I bought it at the Champs Elysees store. Also, it was really helpful that they filled all of the VAT paperwork out at the store, so the process was quick and painless once I got to the airport. read more

My review will be limited because as I have never bought anything at a Louis Vuitton, I do not tend to flag down its sales associates. Still, I will tell you why you, the average tourist, should check this place out. First of all, the building is extremely impressive. It towers on a busy corner of Champs-Elysees, and it couldn't be more ostentatious if it were a hot air balloon shaped like the Pope. It has huge display windows and massive gold letters spelling out LOUIS VUITTON on every available surface. Once you go in, you'll find the store is as massive as it looks. The main floor carries the accessories, naturally, and you can look at the pretty clothes upstairs. The clothes, I will say, are gorgeous, with museum quality construction and prices. The entire store is mobbed with tourists, and especially with Asians. It's true, my people are total incorrigible label whores. In fact, one of the prime tourist attractions of the Louis Vuitton store is the Asian tourist presence itself. I was once told that on many days you can see a line of Asians out the door of the Louis Vuitton Paris shop. I've only seen it once, but it was there clear as day. To be honest, the crowd was more mixed than I expected, but it was still a fun sight. I went that many times not because I have a shopping addiction (or maybe I do), but because I was on a hunt for a purse for my sister. We were there early on Friday morning so there was no line but when you get inside we had to wait to get helped. Asked someone standing around to get you a sale associate because approaching one won't work (for the most part). The line to get inside the store is so long on the weekend, but once you get inside the wait is long too. I'd avoid shopping here on the weekend if I can. It was slow on Monday so I got helped easily. This is the flagship store in Paris so it's huge and more inventory. Make sure to bring your passport to claim VAT return which was simple and quick. This will save you additional 12% on top of low prices already. You probably come out a total of 25-35% cheaper than the States depend on the type of bags you get. read more

This store has prime location...across the street from Arc de Triomphe in Champs Elysee. It has multi-floors of shoes, bags, belts, clothes, accessories, etc. They have the latest styles. I started shopping mid-day and got 2 purses. My family and I were on a mission to get our dog a collar which was difficult to find - not because it's rare but because the sales associates weren't sure where they keep dog collars. We asked 3 different sales associates who gave us wrong information. We were ready to give up after an hour of searching but the extremely long line of people outside waiting to get in the store motivated us to stay in the store - we were rewarded. Thankfully, I came in on a rainy day and there was NO WAIT! AMAZING and very lucky, Jesus wanted me to buy something! Going to the Flagship store is not just a shopping trip is it an EXPERIENCE! I came in to look at a couple pieces, possibly a wallet as I had just purchased a purse at the LV store in Charleston before I left home. A lovely new friend was shopping next to me with her husband and adorable children and she just finished looking at a wallet which was just released. She said that she just finished a large vacation and was deciding on a bag and passed the wallet to me! I FEEL in LOVE! The SA did not pressure me, she was very patience, offered me some champagne and my new friend encouraged me to take it home and I DID! Two years later, I am still in love with the wallet and I use it every day and it looks just as good as the day I bought it. The SA asked if I would like it personalized and where they were able to execute my initials. We then promptly and easily finalized my purchase and she very clearly explained how I would handle the VAT tax as I still had to travel back to Germany. I wish I remembered her name but she was lovely. Lastly, I was escorted to an elevator which took me to a higher floor where the personalization was completed on site. The Personalization suite is simply exquisite, there are vintage luggage pieces up there which are amazingly fabulous. I was so disappointed in this store. We were right beside another LV store in Paris earlier in the day, but I told my boyfriend everyone loved this location more so we should take an Uber here. That was my mistake one lol. Next, when we arrived we had to stand in line, which I knew was a possibility because the store is so popular. None the less, I was so excited to go into this store and dreamed of buying my first LV in Paris, then having it hot stamped while I waited. I'm not sure what went wrong here, but I can only guess I was judged by the staff. I was not in sloppy sweats or a t shirt, but I was wearing tennis shoes from walking around the Louvre all day. I looked very presentable in my opinion, and I couldn't even get staff to assist me. They had people sitting at the counter showing them bags, but I couldn't even get anyone to look at me. I ended up searching out a woman salesperson and asked her if she spoke English. She said "of course, we all speak English in this store". I thought, oh great, they're all ignoring me lol. Anyway when I asked her for help and for the bags I was interested in, she acted as if I was a burden. I was very snubbed and not cared for at all. I actually walked out of the store upset with my boyfriend. Terrible, borderline humiliating. I decided not to visit any more LV stores in the city because I didn't want to go through a repeat of that mess. Then, on the way back from my trip, I saw a location in the airport. I walked in, was treated like an actual guest, and walked out with a bag that I never intended to purchase, but fell in love with. Purely design-wise, the Louis Vuitton flagship is GORGEOUS. Truly a LV lover's dream. It's very easy to get lost in here {VERY easy}, as the store kind of spirals around itself instead of having clearly separate floors. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you. ;) That being said, I was disappointed with the quality of service I received. I arrived to the store slightly before it opened for the day, and was among one of the first in the store. I was greeted with the typical "bonjour madame," but was not offered any sort of help. Instead I ran around the store trying desperately to find help, however just kept getting directed to other departments in the store by groups of sales associates chatting with each other. Overall, I felt very dismissed and as if I wasn't taken seriously or respected as a customer. It felt very condescending. I've encountered this before at a Louis Vuitton store in the US Midwest, however I wasn't expecting that to be the case at the flagship. I understand that I'm likely younger than the majority of Louis Vuitton customers {under 21}, however I didn't come in wearing a sweatsuit or some sort of wildly inappropriate outfit. Even if I did, I still should've been treated with the same respect as everyone else. I was genuinely trying to shop. I had several items in mind, and kept having to go up to a different SA every single time to ask if they had it. They would give me a "oui" or a "non," then turn away, or they would point me to another section of the store entirely to ask someone there. I finally did manage to find a willing sales associate who was very friendly and willing to work with me, instead of just answer a singular question. She was really nice and very helpful. While visiting, keep in mind that this will likely be longer than your typical LV visit. This store is really very big and SAs are constantly having to run up and down to track down whichever pieces you're looking for. Between the exchange rate and VAT refund, you can end up getting some good prices for LV! The three stars are mostly for the beautiful design and atmosphere of the store and the one sales associate I did find to help me. If the store wasn't so gorgeous, it would probably just be one or two, because the quality of the service just wasn't "there" for me. read more

So organized, people lining up like any other places here in Paris, the supervisor assigned you a salesperson... Toured you the shop, got mom a latte, 2, 3 lattes later... So you can't just browsing here, you are almost obligated to buy! Because you feel as you are taking their time, and you feel bad, and even you can't afford it, you had to buy! (I'm the broke ass one! If it wasn't for mom, I looked at the bags, and calculating how many Michelin Stars dinners and Grand Cru wines I miss! It's an overwhelming feeling! I just can't, I simply can't!) How many Louis Vuitton does a girl really need? For mom, never enough! Upstairs was a nice and fashionable selection of bags that only offers in Paris! So chic! Dad shook his head, enjoy Paris fresh air after the rain. Happily carried mom's shopping bags. Shopped around a little more. Got on Métro 13, to go home with grandma. Shopping at the LV on Champs de Elysées...my dream desire came true. We obviously made this our first stop since I was in search of the Graceful bag and if this location didn't have it then I'd know to boost the other LV locations around the city. There was a short line to get in but it moved very quick. The line was mainly for the security officer to check guests bags, so be prepared to open your shopping bags and purses and any other bags you're carrying. This store is HUGE!!! Multiple floors of purses, clothing, luggage, shoes, jewelry, perfume and colognes WOW! They also have an on-site stamping service where you can get your item stamped with your initials ... or anything... for me, I purchased the Graceful bag (still in awe of how beautiful she is) and had it stamped with the LV Eiffel Tower. Service here was great! I mean the store is so busy so it was originally difficult to find some help but when we did it was great. We approached a representative of course by greeting her in French "bonjour" and asking if she spoke English to which she did. She was VERY nice. I showed her the picture of the bag I wanted to which she checked inventory on her phone and put me in queue for service. The wait was about 10 minutes. It was in the 40s outside so being in here felt nice even though my family complained that the store was so hot and stuffy. Which I will admit that it was a bit warm. When my turn was up, the lady walked over with a sales representative and were greeted by her. She was also very friendly. I showed her the picture of the purse and she went and grabbed it, presented it to me and explained it was the last in stock which I already knew from my conversation with the other representative. This baby was MINE. I shook my head and told her I'd take it and also asked if I could get it stamped. She explained where the stamping would go and confirmed with the stamper that it was possible to place the LV Eiffel Tower where I wanted it. She took me over to the stamping station and had me pick out the color that I wanted and made a suggestion of gold which goes really well with the purse coloring. She checked us out and since we didn't bring our passport she gave me the receipt and told me to come back with my passport so that she can fill out the VAT paperwork for me. Top notch service exceeded expectations as Louis Vuitton's flagship store. There is a queue for a reason. Staff were very attentive. Definitely had a personalized experience like no other when shopping here. I was offered water, orange juice, espresso, champagne, and wine during intermittent wait times as my sales representative prepared the paperwork and gift wrapping. The sales representative was very patient with me and provided me her two cents on what to look for based on my descriptions of the personalities of the people I bought these souvenirs for, which she nailed, as the receptors of these gifts were impressed. She even gave me a large white bag to place my items in when she found out I was taking public transportation back to my hotel for safety reasons, while warning me of the prevalence of pickpockets. Let's just say visiting this flag site was a must. Security staff were easy to work with to get customers in line and staff inside were very warm and welcoming. Not too standoffish like other LV or Chanel stores I've experienced in the past. DELPHINE was our personal shopping LV connoisseur and we were truly lucky to have been paired with her. She was genuinely friendly and extremely patience and helpful throughout our two days shopping at LV(wehadto come back and look for her since she wasso delightful to work with). Answered every little bit of question we had, searched for everything we were looking for( kinda relieved lots of items had been purchased out of stock). She made sure our glasses were topped throughout our mission to purchase extravagant luxury items at Thai store and surprised us with some edible macaroons on our last day! We were kind enough to share with another little girl with her family :). Who knows. We may come back tomorrow for one more day with Delphine before we leave Paris. . Mr. Louis Vuitton himself would be disappointed to hear about my experience. I came in at opening when there was no line and I walked in to wait for someone to check out wallets. Nobody would help me or even try to find someone to help me. Yet, there were associates in the store yapping away with each other and completely ignored me. I totally understand the Parisian behavior, but to be treated this way at a "luxury store," especially one that should be catering to tourists is disgusting. I walked over to Hermès instead and the place was absolutely packed. I thought there was no way I was going to get help, but someone immediately greeted me and gave me 1:1 help straightaway. I bought a beautiful epsom wallet there and they were very helpful in walking through the process to claim VAT. So yes, even in Paris, customer service exists, just not at LV. Because of this terrible experience at LV I vowed to myself never to buy any LVMH branded stuff. I was looking at picking up a Zenith watch, but once I found out they were part of the LVMH "family" it immediately got thrown out of consideration. read more

I've told my bf that he needed an upgrade for his wallet. I decided I would get him an LV wallet once we get to Paris. The employees there are very friendly and they offer refreshments while you wait to be helped. I think we waited about 30-40 minutes before someone was available to help us. We knew what kind of wallet we wanted and asked to see the different designs. Once we settled on the perfect wallet for him, we were offered champagne while we wait for papers to receive our refund (since we brought our passport) and receipt. My bf wanted to get the complimentary engraving inside his new wallet. During this process, you get to choose 2-3 letters, the size and color of font. It was an awesome experience to watch them do the engraving. The bf got to leave Paris with a nice souvenir personalized with his last name. read more

It's a large store but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Your luxury experience begins with a line and a trip through security. After that you can wander around while more security watches at you. Eventually you will find the section you're looking for, but you may have to stand around and wait, unacknowledged, if the clerks are busy (I understand if a clerk is busy assisting another customer but I failed to understand why we didn't even warrant a friendly greeting and "I will be with you shortly). Then, if you're lucky, you will have a sales clerk disinterestedly showing you merchandise, as if they doubt you can afford it. Not all of us get offered the champagne while we shop. Their merchandise selection isn't even great; we saw options over at Printempts that were not available at the main store. All in all, a beautiful store with a very disappointing customer experience. read more
