By some miracle he cleared a day, found a new unit and all the parts and was back to do the work in 24 hours. I checked up on the prices he quoted for the unit, parts, etc and everything was by the book. No markups or hidden fees, a totally fair a reasonable cost for the job. And he was very nice and happy to explain everything along the way.

I called them about 2 years ago to clear a…read moreclogged pipe and install a new toilet and had a very satisfying experience (see my previous review), so when we had yet another clog, I called them again. Our plumbing tech, Drew Smith, cleared the clog but found that the sewer line was deteriorating. He conferred with his manager at length to determine the best options available for me. We decided to do the least invasive fix, one that would avoid having to tear up my basement, ( which we use as additional living space), to get to the pipe. Expensive? Yes, but it's the sewer pipe folks - not something we can do without. Henco staff worked with me on the financing and I approved an epoxy coating for the existing pipe. Scott Printz Phil Skaggs, (the expert installers), came out and dug up the back yard to expose the pipe, descaled it and ran the camera to prep for the epoxy. No can do - pipe is in such bad shape that epoxy would be a very expensive, useless option. They immediately notified Henco management & Drew. Drew came back out on Monday with possible options. He'd shared ALL the info & videos provided by Scott & Phil with management, as well as my concerns about cost. It's now Thursday and Scott & Phil are back to insert a special liner (actually a pipe within the existing pipe) that will, to all intents & purposes replace the old pipe without having to dig up my basement & pierce the foundation. This is still an expensive option, but considerably less money than tearing up the basement. Bottom line, these folks have been personable, efficient, and have produced the results they promised. The work, when completed correctly, is good, but their communication sucks…read more We had the opportunity to buy into their annual plan for a fraction of its retail value. It's normally $250 and they gave it to us for our first year for $50. This all started when we needed duct cleaning and contacted them about duct cleaning and as part of a welcome to Henco, we got that maintenance plan at 20% of what the retail value is listed as. Unfortunately, the only thing that has been hitch. Free was the duct cleaning that we had done originally but everything else along the way has been some of the shittiest communication I've ever run into. The second job that we had done is that we had our hot water heater replaced, and here's where the communication stuff started to faulter. The plumber showed up with the wrong hot water heater. They had to go get another hot water heater, and while they got the other hot water heater in a decent timeframe because they found one locally, the idea that they didn't measure for the space before they showed up to the house is absolutely ridiculous. Then we had an HVAC order to where we were getting an air handler completely replaced because when the guys came out and cleaned it, they didn't tell us about a ball bearing in the fan that was going bad and when they completed that cleaning job, the AC failed. This was unfortunately on the hottest weekend of the year so far and so we went an entire weekend without air-conditioning. So when we finally got this scheduled for the air handler to be replaced, it was supposed to replace both the fan and the condenser unit per multiple conversations on site about that. Both are bad. Along the ways of getting this complete was a myriad of poor communication scheduling screw ups and miss quoted product lines which caused our expectations to be reset. At this point with everything included, we spent well over $15,000 with these guys and the communication is absolutely some of the worst communication I've ever experienced with a professional service company.

The contractor who was doing the flooring work highly recommended them to handle the task as well as to replace a deep sink in our laundry room. Both plumbers were polite, professional and very competent. When the time came to replace the pump after the tiling work was finished, they repositioned it into a much better configuration with the new PEX plumbing lines and connections neat, orderly and clean. Also, during the flooring job, a toilet that had been removed for the tiling work was no longer functional when it was replaced. Devin and Fred quickly diagnosed the issue and later acquired the correct parts to properly re-attach and repair the issues that had arisen. They worked late and insisted upon making sure everything was in perfect working order before leaving our house. I would highly recommend Fred and Devin of Advanced Plumbing to anyone needing plumbing work and would definitely use their services again in the future.

He communicated very well, was forthright, and dependable. Could this job be found for less money? Maybe. But it's hard to beat someone who specializes in repiping a house. We found the overall package and guarantee desirable. If ever there is a problem with the job, one phone call to this company with a good Better Business Bureau rating will resolve it. Their strong relationship with the pex pipe manufacturer just another plus. And the new bath and shower fixtures that had to be installed were very satisfactory. No buyers remorse here- I would not hesitate to use them again. What about the crew that came to do the actual job? There were a number of aspects of Jason and his crew worth noting. They showed up on time with a crew of five: Jason, Tim, Mike, Kira and Caleb. That assured me they would complete the job in a timely manner which they did-- finishing in one day by 3:00pm. It also assured that no one person one the crew would be overly taxed, which typically can translate to better quality of workmanship and greater capacity to give attention to detail. It was clear when I met them, as with Alvin, they had a quiet confidence about them- they do repipes day in and day out. They knew exactly what they were doing- it was obvious they were not going to be surprised by anything. They got to work, moving systematically through each phase the job, each team member off to care for their assigned task. UPDATE: Owner cares about his company and makes the effort to resolve these sorts of issues…read more Additionally, the individual plumber, Joel, who performed the work no longer works at Wolcott, and so I feel its right to isolate my experience to him and not hold Wolcott as a whole responsible for what were his unethical choices. . . . My sink was spitting up black flecks of rubber. Joel the plumber insisted it was the angle stops, not the hose. I paid $675 for those angle stops. The problem persisted. They told me to wait and see if the issue resolved over the weekend. When it didnt, they said they needed to "rebuilt" the faucet with a Delta Diamond cartridge for $345. At this point I was suspicious, so I researched what "rebuilding" a faucet means. It is a 5 minute job. One allen key. You take out the previous Delta Diamond cartridge and easily place in a new one. Parts are $40 at Home Depot. With the trip to Home Depot it is a 25 minute job. So I did it myself. When the issue still persisted, I took a harder look at the hose. Guess what? It was the hose. Its even a common issue, and talked about endlessly in the reviews of the replacement hose on amazon. Joel lied to my face, and I'm glad he no longer is associated with this company.

Our home is over 30 years old, and John was clearly experienced -- he explained what could potentially be behind the wall and what needed to be done. We had originally planned on a ball valve faucet, but John explained that it wouldn't hold up well in freezing weather and wouldn't be up to code if we ever decide to sell the house. He suggested a better alternative and had the part on hand, so there was no delay. I learned a lot from John throughout the process. His communication was great, and his pricing was very competitive.
