When I asked how he arrived at that estimate, the response was simply, "I've been doing this for eighteen years." He stated that our sewer line could not be scoped and that the entire system would need to be overhauled, including excavating the front yard. That recommendation felt extreme given the lack of diagnostic evaluation. I'm very glad I sought a second opinion. The actual issue turned out to be a faulty switch on a grinder pump, and the repair was under $1,000. Additionally, contrary to what was stated, our sewer line had already been scoped when we purchased the home. This experience raised serious concerns for me regarding the accuracy of the assessment and overall integrity of the recommendation. I strongly encourage others to seek additional opinions before committing to major repairs.

I did give them my card and it was ran through right away. When my daughter got home she said I do not think so. Call them a cancel the service. Was given a call today stating to refund me my money will cost me $115.00. I will be disputing all this with my bank. But please do not use unless you get a couple of quotes. I think these people looked at my home and that I was an elderly lady and thought it was okay to overcharge and apply fees.

I called Mather which installed the pump in 2005 as I thought that the check valve was faulty. They sent a field man out and he checked the check valve and said the pump system was ok. My problem was that leaking 40 gals of water every 8 minutes will leave a real mess. I could not find a leak anywhere along the short run of line to the house and barn. I called them back after searching for the leak to ask some questions. After three days of talking to the receptionist and she telling me that someone would call and no one did, I called Leak Detectives. They came out and stated that the water was leaking back into the well through the pipe or check value, the outside lines where OK. I then called Mather's again as I had paid them 155.00 for the first call out. I was told by the receptionist stated that she would contact scheduling and get back to me. After a day and not hearing anything and with being out of water for almost a week I called another pump service. They were on the property within an hour and two hours later fixed the problem at a fraction of the price quoted by Mather. Poor, poor, poor service.

I was impressed to see the large selection of brand-name softeners, parts, filters, filter housings, and specialized cleaning products available. If you need filters, pure cleaning products, or parts, Water & Air Works seems to be a great place to go. While the person at the counter was very friendly, they were not able to answer my specific softener questions (such as uplift tube diameters, control valve waterway diameters, brands of resin tanks, etc.), so they kindly took down all of my contact information, and told me that they'd have Aron call or e-mail me with answers to my questions, pricing, etc. A week and a day elapsed, and I'd not heard back at all so I called again. The same employee who helped me in the store remembered me and said they'd have Aron contact me, which he did, the following Monday. Aron was able to answer all of my questions, and explained that their business model is that they do not sell water softener systems directly to end customers. If I were to purchase from them, they require the installation to be done by them as well. Aron explained that they do so because they're feel responsible for any issues or questions with direct purchases, but if they didn't install it, they may be having to support something that they had nothing to do with. Their pricing for an installed system was higher than most of the bids I received, but part of this is because their system includes a sedimentary pre-filter and an activated carbon filter upstream from the softener. While this makes sense for well water, which is what most of their business appears to focus on, I don't think I need either because I'm on city water. Water & Air Works is a great place to get filters and parts, as well as to visit if you have well water and need a complete treatment system installed. If this is your need, Water & Air Works offers a one-stop shopping experience.

A travel fee, a diagnostic fee, a flat rate for a hour if services are done. You could really get lost trying to figure out how much they charge for a service. Pilot Plumbing saved me from all the chaos. I see some negative reviews on their page. This was not my experience. They were honest and forthright. Keith K. was the service person who came and did the work. The space underneath the sink was very tight. He spent quite a bit of time and energy tightening the faucet base underneath. He said he would give a fair price. I signed off on this. Months and months came by and no final bill was sent to me. This service was done in March 2025. Pilot Plumbing with Keith K. did the work and did not charge me a penny for it. After losing my dad to cancer and my brother to a tumor, this project became more than a remodel; it was about giving our family stability again. When repairs began, everything that could go wrong did. Plumbing was unsafe, the water heater was failing, and most contractors treated our project like it wasn't worth their time. Then we found Pilot Plumbing. From the first call, everything changed. Their team was kind, patient, and genuinely listened. They understood our situation and made our family feel heard -- something rare when you're overwhelmed and on a tight budget. Pilot Plumbing didn't just fix our needs; they reminded us that people like this still exist. The Service Visit: Expertise When they arrived on time with friendly smiles & can-do attitude. it was clear they were professionals who took pride in their work. They examined our old water heater and quickly confirmed what we suspected: it was installed unsafely and needed to be replaced. But what really impressed me was how they handled it. There was no judgment, no pressure, and no sales pitch -- just honesty and clear communication. They carefully explained what was wrong, what needed to be done, and how they could make the system safer for our family. They even recommended moving the water heater to a better, more secure location and took care of everything with attention to detail. They strapped it, sealed everything properly, and left the area spotless. The installation looked better than anything we'd ever had before. When they were done, they didn't just pack up and leave -- they stayed to test the system, make sure everything worked perfectly, and explain how to maintain it. It wasn't just a service call; it was an experience that restored our trust in professionals. Above and Beyond: True Integrity When Cati spotted a toilet on a soft floor that could cause major damage, she didn't push a sale. She explained the problem, showed us what to watch for, and gave safe options. Pilot Plumbing cares about your home's long-term health, not just today's bill -- a rare team that takes true ownership of their work.
