It is located in the nice neighborhood of "Vieux Longueuil" and have an open terrasse in the front and a large "verrière" in the back which is wonderful with the changing climate here and create a space which seems larger. They have a formula where you can choose any entree and make it a set price menu by adding either soup and appetizer or appetizer and dessert. I opted for the former option. My first course was a cold potage which was wonderful and did put me in a summery mind set on a spring that seems to be just a long fade-out of winter. I followed it with a warm goat cheese salad and had a delicious and generous salmon tartar as the main course. They are also serving warm fresh bread (as much as you dare eat). Everything was perfectly executed and served in a very convivial and professional way. I will mention this little attention which made the experience even better; My friend (the one that brought me here and is responsible for this discovery) wanted to drink white wine (I drink red even with everything) and I was incline to have an apéritif before the meal but didn't want to drink to much. So, once we settled on a bottle of chardonnay, I asked the server if he could poor some cassis liquor in my first glass of wine (making it a kir) and he was very happy to obliged. That made for an excellent compromise! The kind of flexibility that is somewhat exceptional (but should not!) in the restaurant industry. "L'incredule" instantly became one of my favorite table in town and it totally worth it to make a short trip from downtown Montréal to Longueuil to experienced it!

They gave us extra bread too. - French onion soup 5/5 thick layer of cheese - lamb shank with polenta 5/5 - duck confit casserole with sausage, ham, beans 5/5 - apperol spritz 3/5 - sangria 4/5 with more alcohol than normal Service was nice since we were one of the first tables. They gave our dog a bucket of water used by other dogs. My dog does not like shared water lol. Definitely a great French dinner stop in Montreal. Next time, we need to get desserts but we were super full with 3 appetizers and 2 mains for 3 of us.

We ordered the Rabbit Confit in a Phyllo Dough in Red Wine Sauce; Mixed Green Salad with Balsamic Dressing, Pine Nuts and Shaved Parmesan; Bœuf à la bourguignonne; and a fruit tarte with ice cream. We would easily return the next time we are in the city.

I started with the soup du jour, a potato leek soup with a perfectly smooth texture and a wonderfully delicate flavor. The duck foie gras was the absolute favorite of the evening for both of us! My husband's rack of lamb was delicious, although the portion was disappointingly smaller than expected. My lobster salad, unfortunately, came with a vinaigrette dressing that was far too sour--and that's coming from someone who loves vinegar! What ultimately elevated this dining experience to four stars was the Grand Marnier soufflé we enjoyed for dessert. It was the perfect finale to our evening and left us with a wonderful last impression!

Our waitresses recommendations were fire. We enjoyed: Complementary bread: it was soft on inside and appropriately crunchy but not overly so on the outside. Plus two huge pieces cut into 4 pieces individually. Beef tartare: at 20 cad it was a little pricy for how much you got but the taste was great and I'm a fan of comte cheese. Plus it didn't have capers which imo overwhelms tartares. Duck with carrot: as a Chinese person I've had my share of duck but this might be the best duck I've ever had in my life. The texture and cook on it was awesome! First it came with three pieces of breast. It was the perfect cook, not over like most of the places I've had duck. Then the leg had the perfect crispy fatty skin to meat ratio. Yum yum this is a can't miss dish here Burger: husband got this. I took a bite. It had a nice smoke to it and was perfectly medium rare. I was too distracted by my duck to analyze it further. Raspberry jelly for dessert: as the waitress had mentioned, it was light and a perfect sweet but tart bite. Was great! Would come here again, we had l'express earlier in this trip and place carmin blows that place out of the water.

I chose the seafood entrée, which turned out to be a mistake. After speaking with several others who ordered the same dish, it seemed that we all had a similar experience. I ended up eating not much of my main course because of the seafood quality.
