However, you get over that very quickly as everyone around you is doing the same thing. Hanna was the one who did my body scrub and she is one of the best that I've had. She was super gentle but really got in there and gave me a nice scrub. They have two different areas separated by men and women with a common area that we both share while wearing their provided uniform. They have a privates wet area that is separated by women and men. That's the area where you can shower and enjoy the Jacuzzi or the cold Plunge pool while being completely naked and getting the body scrubs. In the common area, they have a lounge where it's dimly lit calm and peaceful and you can just chill on the sofas. They also have 3 different saunas in the common area. They have light snacks, candy, water, and tea available. But would love to see more fresh fruits. Even though they share a large parking lot with the other businesses around them, it's very hard to find close parking nearby since they only have a few in front of their facility. Highly recommend getting there at least 30 minutes to an hour prior to your massage or body scrub time so that you can enjoy the wet area with the sauna and the Jacuzzis prior to getting your body scrub. I spent a good 3 hours there and I felt so relaxed after I was done.

Lots of parking, so I never had an issue with that. The room she uses is nice, clean, and relaxing. Pleasant scents, nothing too overbearing. She doesn't use steam, which I'm fine with. Custom facials include microdermabrasion, which I feel is awesome. The care she gives your skin is with long-term treatment in mind to prep your skin for deeper peels, which I appreciated. So she started gentle with me, before leading into the peels. I never left with irritated skin, my skin was never left peeling or overly dry. I would just have soft, bright, glowing skin whenever I'd leave. And she uses pumpkin enzyme stuff that just smells amazing. I loved it. She also has a great deal where you can get 3 custom facials for $240.

The waiting room is really nice and quiet and I didn't wait long as Kristy grabbed me right away. The studio was top notch. Nicely decorated with all of the soothing sights and sounds you'd expect. Very relaxing. The facial itself was amazing. Kristy definitely knows how to pamper and deliver a great service. The hour flew by in no time and I was frankly amazed at the results. I did the anti-aging treatment and loved every minute of it. The pumpkin treatment smelled great too and left my skin feeling so clean and smooth! In all this was a great experience, and I'll be back for sure. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed!

Julie is incredibly professional and takes the time to understand exactly what's bothering you before she even starts. We talked through the areas where I was dealing with chronic tension and pain, and she explained how she'd approach the session. The massage was exactly what I needed. She worked out knots and tight muscles that have been bothering me for a long time, but somehow managed to keep the entire experience relaxing from beginning to end. Great pressure, amazing technique, and a smooth flow that never felt choppy or clinical. I signed up for the monthly membership before I left because it honestly offers a lot for the price. The gratuity is already included, you get a complimentary enhancement every month, and seeing the same therapist regularly just makes sense if you're serious about feeling better. I also asked about using my HSA. While they're still looking into accepting HSA payments directly, they were more than happy to provide a detailed invoice for reimbursement, and I appreciated that the owner immediately started researching it after I asked. Julie only sees a handful of clients each day so she can give everyone her full attention. Do yourself a favor and book ahead because I don't think openings will last long. If you're a first time massage client, you'll also get 15% off your first appointment. Highly recommend.

Starting with booking, so much care was taken to ensure I had the opportunity to communicate what I like and don't like, tailoring the session to make sure I got the exact experience I was looking for. Peel is boutique, calm, and incredibly relaxing, featuring one of the most comfortable massage tables I've ever experienced. Julie's massage is highly intuitive, striking the perfect balance between long, flowing strokes and targeted, expert attention where I needed it. Her pressure was perfect. Knowing she recently returned to San Diego from Esalen, I couldn't be more excited to welcome her back to the neighborhood. I've already booked my next appointment!

I visited Karma this past Monday with a friend after stumbling across it on TikTok, and I'm so glad…read moreI did! It looked like such a cool, unique place, and it was only a few minutes from my apartment. I loved it so much that I brought a friend back today for another massage, and he was very impressed by how great his massage was. Parking is street parking, so it can be a little tough to find a spot. However, there is a paid parking lot directly across from the spa, which is a convenient option. We each booked a 60-minute deep tissue massage. One thing I really loved is that after your service, you can pay an additional $50 per person to enjoy all of the amenities. If you don't book a service, the day pass is $100. From the moment you arrive, the experience feels different. They take your shoes and give you slippers to wear throughout the spa. They also give you a top and shorts to put on. You have a key to a locker that you wear on your wrist. It's super convenient where you just tap it against the lock. There's a heated wooden floor and a cozy lounge area upstairs, and they serve what might be the best tea I've ever had. I definitely lost count of how many cups I drank! The massages are downstairs, while all of the amenities and different wellness rooms are upstairs. Since it was our first visit, we did the "first-time focus" wellness journey, which allowed us to experience each room. They have two different formats for the curated wellness journey, one for visual learners and one that is written. I thought this was such a cool concept. It even tells you how long you should spend in each room, and each room has information explaining the physical, mental, and emotional benefits. There's also a guided wellness experience you can participate in. *Forest Room: This room is adorable. You choose a stone that you feel drawn to, and it guides you through focusing on an intention. *Cold Room: Unfortunately, this room wasn't as cold as it should have been. We were told it should drop to around 60°, but we arrived around 11 AM and by 1 PM it was still around 68°. The room itself is super cute and has a cloud-like atmosphere though. *Himalayan Salt Room: This was probably one of my favorites because it really helped my sinuses. There's also a massage chair where you can relax while enjoying the room. *Red Light Room: They provide protective glasses for your eyes, and there's a bin where you place them afterward so they can be cleaned and reused. There are also Mugwort and Mud Rooms, and I loved that the rooms have hourglasses with different time increments. It's such a simple detail, but it encourages you to put your phone away, stop checking the time, and actually be present. There's also a snack area stocked with individual packets of Asian snacks, Chex Mix, nuts, and lemon water. The dressing room area is also really nice. They have showers with multiple showerheads, which made for a very relaxing shower after the spa experience. They provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner along with toothbrushes, blow dryers, deodorant, and pretty much everything you need to get ready afterward. Another really unique feature is the intention wall. You can write something you want to manifest and post it on the wall. At the end of the month, they take the intentions down and hold a little ceremony of sorts to help manifest them. I thought that was such a beautiful touch. And the deep tissue massage was absolutely phenomenal. My therapist used great pressure and really focused on pressure points, leaving me feeling incredibly relaxed afterward. Overall, Karma was an incredible experience and such a perfect reset. From the thoughtful wellness journey and unique rooms to the amazing massage, tea, snacks, and relaxing atmosphere. There are so many little details that make this place special.
