Recently spent a leisurely afternoon at this Korean day spa, which is small compared to those in other cities but the largest one in San Diego. The gender-specific wet areas (nekkid-only ;) and co-ed jjimjilbang (spa uniform required) cover the basics well, but the lack of an on-site restaurant is a bummer. There's only a minimal snack bar, but at least it's free! Suggested order of operations: book a body scrub + massage combo so your spa admission is included, arrive minimum 30 minutes ahead of time to utilize the bathhouse, and afterwards hop between the Red Clay, Himalayan Salt, Ice, and Relaxation Rooms for up to 2 additional hours. Your mind, body, and spirit will thank you!

Didn't make a reservation online but did a walk in for a group of 5. Was helped promptly and gave basic information that sent a waiver to our phone to sign. Did the $55 spa entrance and jimjilbang. Got our clothes and went in. Spa was nice. Hot and cold tub and saunas. Jimjilbang was ok. The ice room was closed so there was only two salt rooms, one was too hot for us all. We didn't really use the JJB much. Common area has free snacks - biscotti, mini chocolate, tea/water, pineapple, Chex mix etc. this place doesn't have food options. Overall nice experience but a little small compared to the other ones I've been to.

This Korean spa is affordable for all that you get! They've changed the snacks to more American snacks and the hot tub was broken when I went which was disappointing. However, they gave us a discount since we wouldn't be getting the full experience! The price is $45pp excluding any scrubs and massages. This gives you access to the hot tub, cold plunge, wet and dry saunas, salt room, red light room, cold room, and jimjilbang (common area). No phones allowed in the locker/sauna/hot tub areas but I snagged a photo in the common area!

Love coming here! I come 1-3 times a month Just don't recommend getting a scrub in the last 2 hours of them closing. They will rush your scrub & not do as thorough of a job As long as you know this, this place is great

I've been to a Korean Spa in the past but not specifically this one. This was my first time and I enjoyed my quality time with my mom and sisters. This place is great if you purchase the services because the entry is included! If you're from LA or OC, this does not compare to the Korean Spas from OC/LA , as this one is very small in comparison and does not offer as much in the jjimjilbang (only 1 salt room, 1 clay room, 1 cold room). $50 for entry fee for 3 hours Upon arrival, we made appointments for the body scrub and oil massage to treat my mom and ourselves for my mom's birthday. They give you your 2 towels (1 small for sweating and 1 larger one for showers) along with your uniform in the basket and the wristband with lock to your locker. The common room (both genders) had free various snacks/fruit as well as hot barley tea and lemon water for refreshments, probably to make up for the lack of food court. I'm happy they offered it. The common room also had couches to rest for their guests. Personally, I like to check out the jjimjilbang first and then use the only female hot sauna/steam room and hot tub and then enjoy my service. Some do it the other way around though, just based on preference! I rated it 4 due to cleanliness as there was just a little spots in the bathroom that needed more deep cleaning, other than that they did a great job at cleaning the baskets and trash! I mainly came for the body scrub& oil massage (60mins) which offers a hair wash and collagen facial and cleansing milk. Hanna worked on me and she did amazing!!! They basically flip you over on a massage table like a baby seal and scrub every inch of your body, then they massage you with oil. After the body scrub my body was as soft as a baby's butt HAHA. So smooth and the cleansing milk really rejuvenated my skin and made it feel plump. My facial was so relaxing as well and I love when people play/ wash my hair. I'm pretty used to be nude around my mom and sisters so it's not out of my comfort zone to walk around naked in the female section. I feel like Yu Spa is a great first time Korean spa, for those who want to embrace this relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend coming here, but only for the services as the entry fee is just too expensive to my liking. This place is great to treat a friend or even a family member.

This was my first Korean spa experience so I did not have much to base off on. But l was more-so anxious about being fully nude in the gender separated areas (male/female spa & locker sections) which is their requirement. Staff & front desk was professional, friendly and informative. Any and all questions were answered without judgement which I appreciated a lot considering I was very skeptical and nervous. Cleanliness of the facilities looked standard and nothing felt out of the ordinary. I constantly saw staff clearing out laundry baskets and cleaning the bathrooms probably every 20 mins or so. Locker rooms felt clean as well as showers. The women's hot sauna, jacuzzi and cold plunge felt very clean. Gender neutral areas were upkept well and provided some snacks and few beverage options. Luckily it was not very busy when I went around 3 pm on a weekday. And prices felt very decent and fair. I felt that this was a very good introduction to Korean style spas if you are a first timer and unfamiliar with the traditional way of how they operate.

I would recommend calling to get the current rate for when you plan to visit.

We did the 90 min which was 100$ but was charged an extra 5$ for using a card. During our massage, our massage therapists chatted and giggled a good amount of our time which was a disappointment as we came in expecting to relax. Towards the half point of our massage, we were freezing after they wiped us down with a towel but didn't dry us off and the AC was on. I was at a point where I felt myself shivering. They supposedly turned the AC off but it did not help. After our massage, we met our massage therapists at the front counter. My friend and I decided to leave a $15 tip each even after our experience. The lady thought we said 50$ and I corrected her and told her 15$ and she seemed offended and stated we should tip more and we should tip 30$ each. I found it ridiculous that we were bargaining over how much we should tip. We settled with 25$ each after feeling pressured and it was already late in the night. At the point we just wanted to get out of there. I enjoy getting massages regularly but I have never been asked to tip more. Due to the over all experience, I personally won't be returning.
