This place is terrible. I spent 140 for a full set and pedicure. I went back the next day because my polish was bubbled and my nails were all uneven. They "fixed" them. I now have chipped GEL polish on every single finger 1 week later. Let's not talk about how uneven my toe nails were cut and how my feet were in the water for no more than 2 mins. I left the shop and went right to dollar tree 2 doors up for a file to reshape everything. read more

PThis is my second time at Lotus. I had a mani/pedi. It's been 2 weeks and I am laid up with cellulitis from my big toe that has traveled up into my leg, weakening my calf. Sure, they used all new instruments but I have zero knowledge how often the whirlpool bath is cleaned and honestly, never thought to ask. I learned from the doctor @ Patient First and Franklin Square ER nurses/ techs/ doctors that this happens too often to count as ppl never think about the whirlpool bath. If not cleaned properly, and your tech scratches you on accident, or digs deep in your toe...it's a recipe for disaster. I'm missing work...in a pandemic. And all this took was a little elbow grease and some sanitizer. The manicure....basic. Design....worse than basic. Had it redone in a day. read more

My husband and I went in for pedicures, it was our first time there. It was quite busy and they kept telling everyone 10-15 minutes. We went back fast but the pedicure was so rushed and so little was done, I would have rather been told to come back later. Start to finish was probably 14-15 mins. That included our feet soaking in the water. The absolute minimal was done and basically no massage. I was so disappointed because it is a convenient location and clean. I hope they start doing 30-45 minute pedicures like other places and not rush it. I went to my normal salon 3 days later and they said it looks like the only thing they did was cut my nails and paint them. read more

Went to get a pedicure which turned out pretty good. I was very pleased,but while I waited to get my nails done I Witness all the African Americans being told to come back in one hour and the Caucasians being told to take a seat and pick your color of polish. I asked the tech why are you turning away some people and she got very upset by my question so I asked a lady sitting in a chair did she noticed it and she said yes!!! she also wondered why? I have been supporting this business for years never seen this coming ,but I won't give my hard earned money to people that don't appreciate the customer who are paying their bills. read more

**BEFORE YOU READ THIS PLEASE KNOW ITS BASICALLY TWO REVIEWS IN ONE (I WANTED TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED** I was recommended here by my sister in-law & I was unable to find it so I went to another nail shop (Polished Nail on Merritt Blvd - Horrible btw) to get a gel fill-in on my nails & a regular pedicure. A few hours after I got my nails done I was getting ready for date night (took a shower) & four of my GEL nails started to peel. I went back & they fixed them (stating if they peel again to come back; NO THANKS). Needless to say, they did peel again. That's why I was determined to find this place. I found it & it's super close to my house AND THEY DO AN AMAZING JOB. I only got my gel nails re-painted & I also got gel on my toes & I love it. You can definitely tell that they use top-of-the-line polish and they take their time and they have good customer service. I will definitely be going here from here on out and would recommend them to anyone in the Dundalk, Sparrow's Point, Essex, or Edgemere area. read more

I'm torn whether to give this place 2 stars or 3. I don't know if my experience is normal or not. I was a walk-in today for a pedicure and manicure. I asked for gel on my toes and fingers. When the attendant started applying regular polish to my toes I just let it go. I figured gel on toe nails wasn't the norm and she misunderstood me. Other than the wrong polish and leaving polish all over my skin, the pedicure was good. I chose a glitter gel polish because it looked so good on the sample but on my nails it's awful. There are areas with zero glitter and unlike the sample you can see my nails through the polish in many places. There are big "bumps" in my nails where she tried to build up the glitter and the polish/top coat was again all over my skin. I had to separate my skin from my nails and file all the way around every nail to smooth the rough spikes of the gel polish. I know I should go back and ask for a different color gel bc this looks terrible, but I have anxiety and working up the courage to go in the first place took weeks. So now I'm trying to decide whether to just try and remove this myself or go to another place and get a different color. I know it could be the polishes fault but the tech seemed to have trouble with the glitter polish. If I had been warned that the end result would be Nothing like the sample I would have chose something else. The salon is clean and beautiful! The tech who did my pedicure and manicure wasn't very talkative to me but I'm a-ok with that because of my anxiety. The massage chair was nice, I just had to reset it twice bc it would freeze. Also the price for a manicure with gel polish and pedicure was $45 which seems like a good price to me. Maybe the lower price is why my nails are low quality. I tried to take pictures of my issues but I'm terrible at pictures and I had already filed the gel around all my nails when I decided to take picture. Here it goes. My mother loves this place for her eyebrows. Me not so much. Went with her and decided to give them a chance. The tech did mom's eyebrows and told me she would do mine after my pedicure. Ok, whatever. Took me to a chair, started the water put my feet in to soak while she finished her customer. Ok. As I'm sitting there with my feet soaking in the water a mother and daughter walk in and sit down next to me. They tell them what they need done. I thought that I was next since I had been sitting with my feet soaking for about 20 minutes. NOPE. They started on the mom and daughter. To say I was upset is an understatement. I waited a few more minutes thinking maybe someone else was going to help me. Again NO. I dried my feet, put on my sandals and walked out. They kept calling to me to come back. Not a chance. Now I understand that the mother and daughter may have had appointments and if I would have been told that they did I would have said ok I'll just come back. But nothing was said. Very disappointing. Went to this "spa" and had to wait three weeks before I could calmly write a fair review. I am not a newbie for gel manicures. With that being said here's my impression of the facility: PROS Clean New Bright CONS Technician did not listen to what I politely asked for regarding the gel color; three different times. There was a tremendous language barrier and I sincerely believe the only English word the tech knew was "honey"..... The very brief soak was in cold water and there was NO massage of hands with lotion. Why can't Dundalk get the right mix of fairly priced + clean = competence. Never will I go back. read more

My first time coming to this nail salon. I was very impressed when I walked in, the salon is so beautiful and extremely clean. They took me right away and were very friendly. I had my acrylics removed and a regular mani with gel. She gave me the best hand massage and my nails look and feel so much better! I most definitely recommend coming here! read more

I have been here a few times.. It is a beautiful shop but in need of more experienced technicians. I'm picky when it comes to my nails nothing out of the norm (i don't want polish on my cuticle​) I clip and file my nails before I arrive.. I have done nails for a living before so I know how a service should be. My partner in the other hand received terrible service... Cuticles not clipped properly and file job we had to fix when we got home. My partner does not even get polish just a mani pedi. So yea only worth 2 stars but I'm giving three because it's a new bussines..but my gel manicure only lasted 5 days. read more

Went and got a pedicure and a dip manicure. Pedicure was good. The technician clearly was unfamiliar with the dipping technique. She dipped my fingers right into the jars which is not proper technique. The manicure was super thick and peeling off at the sides 2 days later. Went back to get it fixed, the other technician tried to repair the peeling nails making them worse. I said I was unhappy and she gave me a gel manicure on the house. Here's the big issue: she used the rotary file on my natural nails. My nails were so thin they hurt. I told her that it was hurting me. Now about 4 weeks later, my nails are still red and sensitive where they were filled too thin. The gel manicure is embedded into my nail and I cannot remove it completely because the nail is so thin. Will NOT be returning. read more

The place is beautiful inside. They don't have many opi colors like other Salons fyi. I was pleased with my services until the price asked to pay was more than their pamphlet showed. I didn't have the pamphlet that I grabbed the day prior to show the lady who charged me extra. Make sure you ask what the total price will be or look at the pamphlet when you sit down otherwise expect for the price to be whatever they feel like charging you! read more

Love love love this shop! Ive had multiple techs and services (mani, pedi, eyebrow wax, and full set acrylic nails) and have always been happy. The staff is friendly, personable, and promt. The shop is decorated beautifully, bright and CLEAN. The newskin pedicure I had was amazing and my eyebrows were waxed perfectly (most shops do them thinner instead just the simple clean up that I ask for). I get the Pink and white ombre but they offer a huge selection of gel colors if that's your thing. Ive tried just about every shop in the area and could never find one that had both good customer service and quality work. Here, I get both and so much more. I would highly reccomend a visit and will be a customer for life. read more

Pretty standard pedicure here. Was very nice inside, brand new. Pedicure was rushed though, took about 20 minutes, barely no massage with the $20 pedicure. There was no wait which was nice. I have been going to Lotus since October of 2017 and have been very happy with service that I received. RACHEL does the BEST pedicures. I pay a few dollars more and get the deluxe pedicure. They use quality products. I had a full set of Gel nails put on and they lasted over 1 month. That's unheard of for me. The polish didn't chip either. The prices are fair and the salon is clean. Lee usually does my nails but this past weekend it was someone else. I could not understand what her name was. She was very rough with my nails and each one my finger tips has little cuts on them. She also waxed one brow much thinner then the other. My pinky finger is so crooked and it was noticed by several people of my daughter in laws baby shower.........all in good fun. I'm not going to change my 5 star review for one bad apple. I just wont go to anyone accept for Lee, RACHEL or a another young man who works there also. Also in my experience they have been willing to make sure that if I wasn't 100 percent satisfied they'd correct whatever changes I wanted before I left.......like color or length. I did not complain this past time because I was in a huge rush. It will stop back there today. I think they are the cleanest salon in a Dundalk! Unless there is a drastic change in the services that I receive there, I have found a salon that I love and will not leave there. read more

Found this place on yelp and went because the place I wanted to go to closed at 6:30 and Lotus closes at 8. The place was clean and nicely decorated. I felt the customer service was mediocre. The attention to detail was subpar and the guy got annoyed when I mentioned how i wanted my American manicure rounded a certain way. My feet were barely in the pedicure bowl for 5 min. I was surprised the service was so lax for a new business. read more
