From my one experience: this place has friendly service, delicious food and great prices. I paid $8 (including tip) and I got a huge plate of General Tso's with fried rice, a spring roll and a cup of my choice of soup. Plus they bring out a 'chips and sauce' appetizer for everyone (at least at lunch). The soup was very good and the chicken was on point. I was definitely full by the time I left. I'm impressed by their fast service and always tasty food. I have been coming to Lotus Garden for about three years now and primarily order take-out. They are always quick to make the orders fresh and well. There has never been a problem and the food always tastes great! I do wish it was a bit easier to hear them, but that's my issue with hearing. read more

We used to go there for lunch a lot, something's different. The food is not as tasty as in the past, pre-Covid experiences. The last two visits were exceptionally tasteless, new owners, cook, I do not know. The original owner couple built the business on tasty, quality food at a very fair price and you always felt appreciated. read more

I previously rated this place 4 stars but after several in restaurant visits and ordering once using Doordash, I can assuredly say that the take out food is markedly WORSE. I spent $25 for food that I didn't even want to eat. The sesame chicken is literally just chicken with seeds thrown on it. It was also soggy and not at all crispy. The orange beef was unrecognizable in flavor an appearance to the previous times I ordered it. The perception is, if you send food out with a delivery service it doesn't matter how good it is because they won't likely return it. This food should have been thrown into the garbage but I am not made of money. Will not order again. read more

I ordered through door dash and this was unbelievable. She actually handed me the bag with the entire bottom full of sauce from both entrees. Great start with what was their version of chips and salsa. Warmed up with the egg drop soup but I feel like my girlfriends hot and sour soup was a little better. Honestly the best orange chicken I have had so far with a little kick to it. First Time at the Lotus Garden, OUTSTANDING! The table AND chairs were clean, the FLOOR was clean. As soon as we sat down, not one but two people were setting up our place mats and dishes. The server helped my wife with what to eat and was genuinely concerned if my wife was allergic to shrimp (the dish had shrimp, I got to eat it). They asked if everything was OK (not often asked at a Chinese Restaurant) Food was on the table fast, hot and Very Good. All the people were super nice and the price was good too. Lotus Garden is a pleasant surprise for a restaurant in a retail strip in AJ. We have eaten in once with family, and taken out several times. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The owner is always outwardly grateful for your business. The small eatery is always clean. We have enjoyed the fried rice, crab Rangoon, honey walnut shrimp, sweet & sour chicken and soups. The food was hot, fresh and plentiful. This style of American Chinese is what it is, but I enjoyed the quality of goods and services at Lotus Garden. read more

We love this place! The whole family enjoys the orange chicken. We have even purchased multiple orders to serve to visitors from time to time. Fried rice is plain, but tasty! Compliments any entree nicely. Personally, I like the egg drop soup. It is hands down the BEST egg drop soup I have EVER had! This was my second trip to Lotus Garden. The first time was really really good. This time we ordered take out. Moo Goo Gai Pan and Kung Pao Chicken. We started out with the spring rolls, crab puffs and some fried rice. So far so good. My spouse opened the Moo Goo Gai Pan and the first spoonful she saw a small dark hair. On further inspection we found another. As such we couldn't eat it. Not sure if the folks in the kitchen are wearing hair nets but if not they should be. My husband and I stopped in to the Lotus Garden for lunch today. It was our first visit to the restaurant. The decor is very nice and everything was very clean. The man and woman working couldn't have been any nicer. My husband and I both had the lunch special with Mongolian Beef. It was very good and I will be back to have it again for sure. I would have given a 5 star rating, but I also tried the won-ton soup and was not a fan. The won-tons were not soft enough for me. Usually, if I don't like something I will send it back, but the man who waited on us was so nice that I felt like it would have ruined his day if I said I didn't like it. Basic Chinese fare at a good price. Had lunch (entree, rice, egg roll and soup) and a refillable soda for $5.75 plus tax and tip. Don't expect anything extraordinary, but the food is good and so are the portions. You won't leave hungry. Had Kung Pao chicken and it was pretty much what I expected to get from a mom n pop Chinese restaurant. Plenty of veggies and chicken. We used to get really great, consistent Chinese food from here. The first few times the food was excellent. The last time we ate there, we ordered shrimp fried rice and potstickers. The rice was absolutely horrible. The shrimp was undercooked and the rice was bland and mushy. The potstickers were dripping with grease. I don't know if it was a bad night for them, but I don't plan on eating there again after that experience. read more
