Really liked it! I got the most economical lunch special: Speedy Gonzales. 5 things I learned from ordering the speedy: 1. 7.49 good price for nicely decorated sit down + free chips and salsa 2. Not all refried beans are created equal, these are some of the best I have ever tasted. 3. I should take photos of my food before inhaling it - it was so good. 4. I can't believe your still reading. 5. The shredded chicken is a great option. read more

Not a fan of this location! This is the closest Los Tres Amigos location to me and I stopped going to this one altogether. The service isn't horrible, not great but not enough to really make the rating as low as it is. They usually are pretty attentive and get your order out in a timely manner. Ambiance isn't bad at this place either, bright and lively but I will say the bathrooms and floors could use more regular cleaning. Overall, my score is low because of the quality in how the food is prepared. I can go to the location in Holt and order the exact same thing and have it taste more fresh, hotter and have the presentation be better too. read more

Cute enough place but less than mediocre food. Margaritas are sub par even when I asked for top shelf. Just the same old mix. I had shrimp tacos. Shrimp with some bagged cabbage on top. Nothing that was extraordinary. My friends said theirs was ok. read more

Ordered a beef tip chimichanga for take out, but they used ground beef. They don't give enough salsa for chips either.

Went here for my 21st birthday. I've been a few times before, and the food never disappoints! The service was good, and I adore the hand painted style of the seats/tables. Good margaritas too! I'll definitely be back again soon! :) read more

I was here for dinner yesterday, and Fransico U was the server, and total of 6 people that the service was slow. The good part that they weren't rushing for orders to be placed, but still for over 20 minutes for all the food to be brought out , and they have all sorts of mexican food, to tacos. And I ordered traditional tacos, which comes with your choice of chicken or ground beef, along with hard or soft shells. read more

Very nice ambiance! Fresh hot tortilla chips with salsa! Excellent margaritas! Food came out hot and fresh and had a really nice authentic Mexican flavor! Staff were attentive and did a great job! read more

Los Tres Amigos in Mason just scammed me! Took my $230 for a catering order, with no care to make things right. Order was placed on Grubhub for the wrong date. I called Los Tres (as the order confirmation email told me to do) and informed them that my order was not for today, but for 2 days later. The guy on the phone repeated the correct date three times. They then proceeded to make the food for today, charged my card & Grubhub picked it up and tried to deliver it to a place that was closed (cuz the order was for two days later). When I called Los Tres to ask why they still made the order the phone rang forever and I then got a weird verizon message. I had to call back 8 more times before someone answered. They then proceeded to give me the run around, acting like they did not know what I was talking about. I will never ever give my business to Tres Amigos. read more

What a turn around! I was reluctantly convinced to give Los Tres in Mason another try and I'm so glad I did. Service was great. Drinks were prompt and tasty and the food was fresh and delicious. I'm so glad to be able to add Los Tres back into the roster of places to eat in Mason. Nice work! read more

Food is outstanding. Service is always great and the servers our friendly. Been there often and always look forward to going back.

I really wanted to be over joyed with this experience. Sadly, it was FAR from that. Sadly small portion of guacamole with the chips and guacamole I ordered. three chips took all of it. The Nachos Amigos was straight up gross. 1) it was about half of the portion size of ordered in the store 2) it was more like SOUP than nachos. I'm not convinced that whoever made it didn't ladle a whole scoop of chicken broth onto it. Not. A. Single. Crispy. Chip. And it's not like we waited a long time. We were consuming this 10 minutes after we picked it up. The dogs ate it. The fajitas didn't come with any tortillas or cheese? The meat/veggies were tasty, but WAY too many veggies to meat proportionally. I won't be back. Good tastes okay, not the best I've ever eaten (what was edible), and overall disappointing experience. read more

Went here for lunch on 5/10/23; was charged more than the menu prices for all items! Free hair included in food though! AVOID this dump!

Great spot in our little town. Sometimes service isn't speedy, but ya gotta be understanding in these weird times. Freakin delicious food and good margaritas! Super friendly servers too. The birria tacos will change your life read more

Always quality service, great food, and the best margaritas - they get stronger as you go!

The staff here are super friendly and the food is amazing! Would definitely recommend to try this location out!

Despite having a disgusting dinner here a few months ago, I thought maybe it was just an "off day" for the restaurant. It happens. We decided to give it another go for a late lunch on Friday. That was a mistake!! I spent the entire night in the bathroom after eating the absolute worst taco salad I've ever had in my life! I left most of it on my plate as the ground beef was so soupy it just made everything else turn to flavorless mush! I'm so sorry to post this because I really love Mexican food, I just don't love this place, although it's nicely decorated. Our server took my order, asked if I wanted "just one?" taco salad...I said yes & she walked away! I called her back & said "doesn't my husband get to order his dinner??" She said "oh, I thought you wanted just one salad". I said "YES! FOR ME! he wants to order his own meal!" WTH???? read more

We were at the restaurant on a Saturday at 5pm, they were not busy. Waited 40 minutes for our food. There were six of us but two were kids that only ordered beans and a cheese quesadilla. Our waiter never came to check on us except to bring us the bill. And refilled chips after they'd already sat empty for at least 15 minutes. My husbands burrito was cold by the time it arrived. Everyone else's food was mediocre at best. read more

I really like the food here....and they have an extensive menu with many authentic dishes as well basics like nachos, burritos, steak etc...The have fish and pork, mole sauce dishes. Mild to beyond spicy. Good in house chips and salsa. Prices are reasonable and the menu fun to explore and tempts one to try new or unusual dishes. Located right off my home towns downtown square where we like to shop before and after dining. They also have a full bar and good specials. My only complaint ...and it's not enough to stop me from returning. ..the waitstaff seems disinterested. ..or not happy to be there? So, I don't go expecting very pleasant service...and I'm never disappointed....lol ! read more

Given all of the strains on restaurants during the pandemic, Los Tres Amigos continues to give excellent service and outstanding food. I took our son there for dinner last evening, and we had Burrito Amigos and Big Burrito Amigos. Both were excellent. Service was also notable. Our server kept in touch with us throughout our meal, and provided drinks with a smile. Five stars for an admirable eatery! read more

Found that all of the Los Tres in the area have poor service. I find the wait staff rude, and the food greasy at times. The place can be loud if there is a game but that is to be expected. Haven't been in quite a while because of these reasons. read more

Haven't been to a los Tres amigos that I haven't liked! Convenient location in Mason next to my girl's place.

I went here with a group of friends. I had a big burrito amigo. It was delicious! The service was almost flawless! The only thing is that our server brought out one of our drinks quite late, but it's okay we still had a great time. This is an awesome place to go with your friends when you want to have a good time. 9/10 I will be returning to this place! read more

The restaurant was ok but the waitress was pretty rude you can tell she didnt want us to be there because of the way she talked to us and the way that she treated us. She kept arguing with me about my order and then brought out and with an attitude said there is only chicken and cheese on that. The food was good though. The restaurant is not clean at all it is very gross there. Not pleased with service or presentation but taste bumps them up to a 3 read more

Wow. Even in the age of Covid and a shortage of employees, there is a difference between slow service and BAD SERVICE. We had to beg to have our order taken. We had to beg for our bill. We had to beg for the rest of our order. Everyone was rude and the food was just ok, if not cold. read more

PLEASE READ THIS: Eat there at ur own risk! Last night was by far the worst experience I've ever had regarding carry out food! In fact, I'm up at 3am writing this review bc my tooth hurts so freaking bad from a STONE that was in my salsa. There was one other little one that my daughter bit into, as well. But, this rock was quite big and VERY sharp! About the size of an adult molar.. Anyway, it wouldn't have been so bad had they just taken responsibility, apologized and refunded our money but they did NONE of those things! Well, they did say that they would credit our card back but that was only bc I told them they would. I called there very angry, which is something I don't ever do! I worked in the business for 10 years and I know how things can happen. I'm also just about the most understanding person u could meet but, I will admit to having a temper and after biting into that sharp stone.. Holy crap, it hurt! Now, I can't help to think that maybe someone put them in their on purpose.. bc I was a bit of a difficult customer to deal with on the phone. I ordered my husbands food and when I mentioned the (3) tacos for 5.00 (listed on their website that I checked minutes before) they informed me that they were actually now 7.99!?! What the crap is that? So, I said I needed to talk to my husband and call back. I called back and ended up still ordering one order of the tacos anyway. At the end, I asked how many salsas that would come with (we had the complimentary bag of chips/small salsa) but, anything after that you're charged for. The guy could tell I was confused and unhappy so he says that he will "just throw in" a second one for free and then I purchased a third small salsa. Well, seems to me that they "THREW IN" a couple of stones, as well! Seriously though. What the hell is it with these people being so damn CHEAP!? Every time we have gone there it's horrible service, first of all. And they get SOOO annoyed if u ask for more chips and/or salsa! Don't offer the chips and salsa then if ur gonna be pissed that we eat it!! Duh. Now, with that being said.. When I called to speak to someone (the first person that answered) I didn't even think to ask for a manager at that point cuz I was so upset. I just started bitchin'.. I told them that I wanted to know WHY there was a stone in my salsa. And this dude just played dumb.. made excuses.. talked to someone there with his hand over the phone.. and offered me absolutely NOTHING as compensation! So, I told him that they WOULD be refunding my money. He had an attitude like that just wasn't Gonna happen and got his manager. (Here I'm thinking, omg is this really happening!? I would never have even had to ask my boss permission to tell the customer to come back in and get their money back AND get them all new meals!) So, in comes the manager with the SAME story!! I had calmed a bit and started off by (what was about to happen and) apologizing for being so upset and rude but I really wanted to know why there was a rock in my salsa. U wouldn't freaking believe it! He had the nerve to tell me that there WAS NO stone in my salsa!! Haha. I'm pretty sure there WAS considering that I just; spit it out of my mouth, didn't finish dinner and called u to complain! I told him that "fine, I trust u. I believe u didn't do it on purpose then.." (I was giving him the benefit of the doubt here.) ".. but, regardless, it happened and now I may have to have a tooth repaired.." Still nothing.. no "sorry".. no offer to refund my money. So, then I told him that he WOULD be refunding my money.. well, that plan didn't jive with him, I guess. I had to get real mean then and let him know that yes, he would bc I have photos of it here and I'm about to start posting all over the Internet.. he THEN changed his mind about the refund! And if it's not on the card in 48 hours.. they are in some serious trouble. I may report them anyway but if it's not there, I will for sure be reporting this! So, after all that.. if u still decide to take ur chances and eat at the Mason Los Tres Amigos.. DO NOT PISS THEM OFF IN ANY WAY! That means: don't ask questions about the menu. don't ask for more salsa. don't ask for anything special. Bc if u do.. u might be the one laying in bed all night awake with pain, writing the next bad review and waiting to call the dentist for an emergency appointment in the moring! It saddens me so much, too, bc my girls love going there to eat.. :( read more

I have extended family in Mason, so have eaten here a few times while visiting. The food is good; not spectacular, but good. The service, however, is VERY good. Last time we had a large group of approximately 15-20, and our waiter was great. Above average overall; definitely a great option. read more

Los Tres Amigos is a Duffy family favorite. We have lunch or dinner here at least once a month and we have never had a bad experience. Whenever we have company in from out of town, we bring them to Los Tres. The wait staff is fantastic. Always friendly and accommodating. They keep the chips and salsa flowing until the food arrives. The food is fantastic and the portion are substantial. I always slip the Nachos Amigos (chicken, beef and beans) with one of my kids. Los Tres Amigos - muy bueno! read more

Great experience and food‼ Menu is extensive, even during COVID. Wait staff is exceptional.

This los tres is not like the other stores we wouldn't return server was rude it was dirty and when we asked for are food to be done like at the other stores they acted so put out. I would say go to any of there other stores read more

Prices up, service down. The Mason Los Tres Amigos was a favorite whenever my son was in town. After our last meal there we aren't so sure anymore. Much like other places, a new menu design = higher prices. The higher prices coupled with the fact that our server wasn't around much (I had to go find someone for a refill) left us feeling we could have done better elsewhere. read more

Building was cool, food was okay, waitress was terrible. It was a Sunday evening, and there were not many people in the place, but somehow we were there for almost 2 hours. Our waitress obviously forgot to put in our order seeing as two tables that came after us, got their food way before we did. Had to then hunt her down for silverware. And water. Then when it was time to pay our bill, she didn't come and grab it for about 15 minutes and then she disappeared and we had to hunt down our credit card, taking about another 15 minutes. All while our food was still sitting in front of us because no one cleared off the table. Would have this experience been different (almost better) had we had a different waitress? Probably. So eat at your own risk. read more

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants to eat at in the Lansing area. The food is always fresh and made pretty quick. I love the fajita burrito with steak! It never disappoints! There is a great outdoor patio to on during the summer. read more

Our server didn't seem overly interested in her job duties. She mastered a pivot move that does not allow the customer to respond to her question. I recently ventured to this restaurant with my friends. We came on "taco night", where tacos are $.99 each. The only problem is that the deal only applies to hard shell tacos. I personally enjoy soft shell tacos, so I ordered soft shell anyways. Now on to the chips. They tasted stale and they hurt the roof of my mouth. If I'm being honest, I think they are very stingy with they're chips and salsa. You have to ask to get more, and even after that the take a long time to finally give it to you. The food came out decently fast, and it tasted pretty good actually. Overall, this restaurant has pretty good food, but the waiters/management is a hit or miss. read more

Carne asada is good now! It is actually skirt steak. The best dish is the carnitas..but you have to have the tomatilla salsa with it. Yum!

Place has dropped many notches in these eyes. Might be an off day however stale taco shells are never acceptable at a Mexican joint. Too bad this used to be a monthly stop while in Mason. read more

A nice place for lunch or dinner. I go during slow times so it's quiter and the service is more personal. I would call it more tex-mex than Mexican. I like to try something new each time I go. My latest most favorite is the mahi mahi. Large serving of fish covered in a white sauce with mushrooms spinach and shrimp. It's to die for. The weight staff is friendly snd very tantative to me and know my name. read more

My family has eaten at this restaurant several times because Mexican food is my absolute favorite! I've eaten at the restaurants in Lansing and enjoyed them, but the Mason branch just doesn't have very good food. Once I received old tortillas that were stale. Another time, I asked for no lettuce and got it anyway. Another time, they had buckets all over the place because of leaks in the ceiling. The waiters hover over you. I like when they refill my cup, but they seem to be bored and just waiting for you to need them. Last time we went, my whole family complained of stomach aches. We won't go there again... read more
