Very good. Traditional Mexican food great selection and reasonable prices. Food was great and quick. I'm definitely coming back for breakfast.

Super yummy food and they have two locations. I went to the Old Town location which was small and great. The food felt homemade and the service was friendly. I do with their vegetarian options were a little more expensive - it's always hard with Mexican places. I also never eat the beans because refried beans are usually made with lard. But the guacamole and salsa were great and the eggs I had with the potatoes were delicious.

Service and staff were great! Very kind and quick! Small joint w/ no liquor license, fyi! We were looking to get a margarita and unfortunately had to get 2 cokes instead. We got: Tostado plate: 8/10 (bonus points bc I have a sensitive stomach and had no issues) American Tacos: 8/10 Quesadilla: 8/10 (not pictured)

Upon entering, the greeter was unfortunately quite dismissive and tossed the menus onto the table without much acknowledgment. Thankfully, the waiter more than made up for it, he was kind, attentive, and accommodating throughout the meal. I ordered the chicken enchiladas plate with green sauce and a ground beef tostada. The chicken enchiladas were absolutely delicious, the chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The tortillas were tender without being too soft, and the balance of queso fresco and green sauce brought the whole dish together beautifully. The ground beef tostada was equally impressive. The beef was flavorful and juicy, the refried beans had an ideal consistency, not too thick, not too runny, and the crisp lettuce and fresh cheese added a refreshing crunch. Every bite was a delight, clearly made with care and attention to detail. I ate every last bit with genuine enjoyment! Food: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Atmosphere: 8/10

Lansing actually has a decent food scene here, with many options to choose from. I was famished and needed something to eat, and after scouring restaurants in the area, this place came up. I liked that they served breakfast, lunch AND dinner, so off I went! Parking here's decent, but if you want to park in the public lots to do stuff and walk around the area, you have to download some app to pay. Being that I was irrationally hungry, I didn't feel like downloading anything, and I actually got a better parking spot parking on the street and right in front of Pablo's. Walking in, the place isn't huge, but there's enough room for up to a party of 4 to dine in. I grabbed a booth and reviewed the menu to see what offerings they had. They did start me off with chips and salsa, and the chips were great. Salsa was good, but could have used a little more pep to it. I went with the Huervos Mexicana, which was absolutely fabulous. It's basically scrambled eggs with tons of good stuff in it, rice and refried beans. My only concern was I told my waitress to go easy on the Jalapenos, but I think she must have heard "no jalapenos" because I didn't notice any in my dish when she brought it out. Food was excellent, and the refried beans were DELICIOUS. (some places have very bland refried beans. I don't know why this is a thing for me. Weird.) Prices here are spot on, and the whole thing cost me $10 plus tip. Server was fabulous and she was really super nice. Even for a random weekday morning, the place seems to be a busy spot, which is a good sign. For a solid quick meal, check this place out. Legit Mexican food for an excellent price. You won't be disappointed!

    Good food

The food was good and the service was good but my mom gave our servicer a 7.58 tip on her card but the next day they charge and extra 1.99

This place gets the stamp of approval from two california locals (one norcal, one socal, both latin american). Those saying the salsa is watery have probably only ever had pico de gallo. It's classic, traditional salsa. I had the tacos mexicana with chicken. Simple, classic tacos. Meat, onions, cilantro, lime, in corn tortillas. My friend had the enchiladas with chicken--she said they were good. The jamaica and horchata were both good. Very refreshing on a hot humid day. Both dinner plates came with rice and beans. I'd come again if I'm ever back in town. Probably the best mexican food you'll find in Lansing.

1st time here. Sunday afternoon and this place is packed. Great atmosphere. I'm having marjarro (fried tilapia) and my wife is having sopa alpastor (roasted pork with pineapple). Both were fantastic We also ordered guacamole which was one of the best we've had. We'll definitely be back!

In my travels across the Midwest for work, I have encountered Mexican food that has ranged from really bad to just average. To say I was pleasantly shocked tonight with my visit to Pablo's is an understatement. First, the service was pretty incredible. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were also greeted with chips and salsa, which is always a lovely start. They were warm and the salsa was spot on. Upon looking over the menu, I was kind of shocked with how reasonably priced everything was. And because everything was on the cheaper side and items could be ordered a la cart, I obviously indulged more than I should have. I tried the gorditos with ground beef (clearly homemade and incredible)- they were everything I hoped they would be. These come 3/$9- I did have to add the rice and beans, but the fee was minimal. I also added a Chile relleno (I couldn't pass on this for $3). This was a delight. The sauce on top was filled with warm spices and was unique. Finally, I added a mini carnitas burrito ($5.50). It certainly wasn't mini at all. I now have leftovers for days and a strong urge to return again; next time, I will definitely be trying the posole (one of my favorites dishes on this planet) or maybe a tamale or perhaps a torta. Heck, I'll try it all, since there's no shame in the leftovers game. Pablo's, thanks for being a Michigan gem!

My husband and I decided to try this place since we drive by it all the time while in Old Town. Not only is it a perfect spot for Pokémon GO players, it also has unbelievably delicious food. It is the best chimichanga I have ever had. Flaky, soft, and so goooood! The avocado was also very tasty. My husband was also impressed. Can't wait to take our son here, who is also a Mexican foodie. A big plus during COVID-19, we were able to pay by scanning the QR code on our receipt. Easy peasy. We'll be back!

Delicious tacos and friendly service. If you're visiting a kiddo at MSU, do yourself a favor and head over to Old Town Lansing and try the tacos here. You won't be sorry.

Same people; same menu; same unique take on classic Tex-Mex favorites. The sign out front now says Catalinas. Don't ask me why.

Breakfast burrito was $16 each for takeout! Definitely not tipping. It seemed like a small restaurant. The food was average.

SERVICE: Service was good, server was very nice with any questions we had. *** What we didn't appreciate was when it was time to pay the bill, the server brings out the handheld payment tool (like a lot of restaurants use now), server holds the tool so my husband can see and stares at the tool, watching my husband choose what tip amount etc. It automatically defaults to a 20% tip and then increases from there for tip choices!! We felt very pressured and awkward with this. We like to take our time and figure out how much we want to leave based on service not feel "pushed" into choosing one of the pre chosen percentage amounts (especially if they default to a minimum of 20%)!!! The server needs to leave the tool at the table walk away or stand farther back so the customer can privately pay. Let me explain. The place is conveniently located downtown Charlotte with plenty of parking. If there's no street side parking out front, there's a big lot out back too. It's a good size restaurant with lots of seating inside, but there's also an outdoor patio if that's your thing. The menu has just about anything you would typically want from a sit down Mexican restaurant, and a sizable drink menu also. The place is relatively clean and the restrooms are usually kept up. I've never had a meal or bad service. Sounds like everything you'd want in a restaurant. But honestly, that's how things are supposed to be. I expect the place to be clean. I expect the staff to be polite. I expect the food be good. These are all standard things. A 3 star review is just that, standard. Anything higher would be above and beyond. I just don't think this place or the food is above and beyond. There's a couple other Mexican restaurants nearby, so I'd figure they'd step their game up a notch. Unfortunately I don't see it. I'll eat here again, because I like it. They are in fact better than the other places. But the other places lessor reviews don't automatically add stars to this one. Do average, get average.
