    Price of the tamales
    Alexa p.

The customer service wasn't the best . I felt rushed and wasn't met with a good attitude. I got the tamales and rice . Rice was pretty good but unfortunately the spicy chicken tamales were a little disappointing. Barely any meat more of the masa than anything . Tamales were too pricey for the quality .

Perfect hole in the wall with authentic and delicious food! Tamales are available by the half or full dozen and absolutely amazing. Order at the counter and the food comes out REALLY quickly! We came for breakfast and it was so filling I couldn't finish. These tamales have the perfect ratio of meat to masa, and the size makes it possible to try a few different kinds before you get full. Can't finish? Take home leftovers for later!

Huevo con machacado. It came with a small sope con queso. Salsa was not spicy at all!!! But really good

You order at the counter and then sit down. The restaurant is small but they still respect social distancing. Anything I get at this place I know it is going to be delicious! Their tortillas are homemade & their tacos are pretty big & they add a lot of meat into them. I have not tried their tamales yet. Food was good but the other dishes other people ordered did not have as much flavor. For example the chilaquiles rojos I would have preferred they were more crunchy and they ended up being more soggy.

Consistently very good food. Consistently very poor customer service: front counter staff needs training in food service etiquette, often get the orders incorrect, long waits to get food and often not what we ordered, short staffed and seem unwilling to hire more competent people. The quality of the food is the ONLY reason we come back.

Excellent quality Mexican food. Start with 1 taco; these things are large and loaded with the meat you choose. Been here maybe 6 times and it's always been 100% exceptional service & taste. Worth the money and you won't regret giving this place a shot.

problematic and rude lady that works there.

Everyone happy that we were eating there today. I ordered the chilaquiles plate. It was hands down the best ever! My wife ordered the huevos rancheros. She said the plate was perfect! We also ordered a couple of coffees. I wish they had more business. This is a great place in Pasadena, TX. I'll be back!

The restaurant doesn't feel new by any means, but lived in in the best way possible. There's colorful decor, plenty of seating, and a lovely overall vibe The menu offers your typical Tex-Mex dishes; tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, salads, etc. we ordered off their lunch menu You are given complimentary chips and salsa to start. It's a tasty red salsa (no green/verde). The staff were very professional and efficient. We got our orders taken in a timely manner, the food didn't take long, and our drinks were always filled Everything tasted great. The prices are typical for Tex-mex type restaurants. But the ambiance, service, and quality are worth a stop Some tips: The interior temperature was fairly cold, and I run hot. I'm not complaining at all, more warning those who get cold easily They open relatively early (10am) everyday, but they typically close before 9pm, except on Saturdays Cheers!

Not to mention, the salsas were incredible. Three different salsas, all with a little kick, but truly so delicious for very reasonable prices. The owner came out, greeted us, answered our questions about the menu, and the food came out very quickly. While this is more of a no-frills location with not much decoration, the food and value makes this easily a 5 star review for me. Can't recommend highly enough if you are looking for authentic Mexican food.

It's a small place, so it's not ideal for large gatherings and they're easy to miss. El Tostaco Regio does not serve typical Mexican cuisine. Their food is what you would find served on the streets of Mexico. So there's no refried beans, rice or a queso plate here. Most of their dishes comes with beans and a cup of broth. Their food is served fresh, but messy. Everything they make is packed with flavor, but not overpowered by spices. The tables have three complimentary sauces you can try with your dishes. If your other party is not in the mood for Mexican, El Tostaco Regio also have burgers and baked potatoes. Their menu is bilingual, thankfully. The staff are patient and kind. Prices are affordable. I will say that their AC system could've been better, considering we're in Summer now. They only have only bathroom. Aside from a TV playing Latino music, there's no decor inside at all. My major issue is that El Tostaco Regio is NOT wheelchair accessible. That's completely unacceptable!
