This location is better than the one on the Eastside. Very clean and friendly staff. Tasty beans are brought out before you even order. I ordered the 5 mini fajita tacos that come with an avocado slice, onions and a grilled jalapeño. Very tender meat. Very good crispy tortilla with just the right amount of meat and cheese. My friend ordered the tostadas with chicken and it came with a small menudo that she said was delicious. Our waitress Katie took real good care of us and was very attentive. They have a great variety of items on the menu. Something for everyone. I will definitely comeback. Lots of parking. read more

We didn't feel like getting out so we DoorDashed our dinner. We tried the Special Trompo Tacos, Tlaquepaque tacos, and super nachos. The fajita beef was beautifully seasoned and tender. The nachos were sole of the best I've eaten. The queso on them was delicious! We loved everything we order, including their borracho beans. Try them out sometime!! read more

Man this place is awesome, stumbled upon it many many years ago. Great Mexican food, not Tex mex but some type of actual Mexican food. The tacos are awesome. I had breakfast this time. Always greeted with smiling waitresses. Very nice and polite. Love the salsa verde and the to go salad verde they sell you in their special bottle lol. I had chorizo and eggs and potato's and refried beans. Awesome warm homemade tortillas. The place is always clean and pleasant everytime I've been. Very nice place. Check it out read more

i come here for the burritos, they always hit the spot. i normally order the chicken fajita burrito and they give you a little cup of beans (delicious), green sauce (spicy but yummy), melty queso (my favorite part), and a jalapeño. the burritos have avocado, refried beans, sour cream, onions, lettuce, and the protein of your choice. i pay $11.12. honestly not a bad deal for me. it fills me up every time. only thing for me is that they charge you for chips and salsa, lame haha read more

Terrible food! Never going back again you should know when the food taste like you put it in the microwave!!!

This is a little hidden gem! I've lived in the area for about 2 years and I saw this restaurant often but it was closed. Now that it's open me and my husband decided to try it! From the outside it doesn't look like it would be an authentic Mexican restaurant but once you're inside it seems for taqueria-esq! The server greeted us as soon as we walked in and had us seated immediately. They weren't extremely busy but they weren't empty either so I thought it was impressive. She took our order and we got our food super quick! The food itself was so yummy! I got the 5 tacos and my husband got the torta. Both were so good! We will definitely be back. It's such a good food and affordable pricing. read more

Do not go this place! They gave us avocado and lemons that is going bad, they have no shame in their business. They overcharge yet the price does not match the quality. There are other better tacos place to visit! read more

Best mini tacos in Pasadena! They are consistently so good, fresh, not-greasy and flavorful. The service is always fast. They now have a new drink menu which is also SO good! read more

3.5 yelp doesn't use half numbers Idk if it was because it wasn't busy or... this how they always seat ppl. when i walked in the lady said you can seat yourself. I found a booth (not padded) and Immediately she came over with a menu asking if I wanted something to drink. I ordered water and asked for a drink menu. Idk why im saying all this lol i think my drink kicked in. Lol Anyways, After getting the drunk menu, I ordered a mango margarita with chomoy and Taijan on the rim in a large. Special steak tacos with rice and beans. While waiting for my food I noticed this place is really clean and even though she was moving slow; as soon as a table got up; she was on it. I also like their music, it was in Spanish, I had no idea what they were saying but it was a mixture and it sounded good! Got my food pretty quickly. When she brought my water earlier in the beginning... she also brought cilantro, onions, limes and a couple sauces. Now i know you're asking; Why only 3 stars???? Everything was good even the food after i seasoned it. The food was cooked perfect but it lacked seasoning. Had to add salt to everything except my drink; that was perfect. Im giving them a 3.5 They would've had a 4 if at leasthe meat was seasoned Would i come back for a second go? Yes! Ok byeeeee... read more

No estaba caliente. Así que fuimos a pagar salió a $53.89 dólares pero mi cuenta bancaria muestra que sacaron $64 $10 dólares por una advertencia así que cuando con su tarjeta ten cuidado que roban su dinero!!! Warning!! THEY STEAL!!! So I came here to eat with my family. And the food wasn't that good, I've had better. Service wasn't great we had another waitress help us out since are drinks we're low. A girl with blue hair was supposed to be our server. She hardly attended us. So point is we payed bill came out $53 and some change but as we were reviewing our bank statement they took out more than it showed! They are stealing from people who use their cards to pay. Ridiculous! And we left a tip on table for the horrible service we had. I don't think we are the 1 at this has happened to either. Place needs to get shut down!!!! Who steals!!! They don't care about service or the reviews definitely not customers!! read more

Was a mobile order, for breakfast tacos. They were okay, host was nice and food was fast

One of our places to eat after a long day from work or a late game. The food is delicious and recommended.

Stopped here to check it out. Friendly staff and a focused menu. I had the burrito which was more like a giant taco. It was just a foldeded flour tortilla not rolled like you would normally see. It was filled with to the top and somewhat difficult to manage. The flavor was ok but missing something. The biggest issue I had was the lack of chips. I was hoping for the common basket of chips to accompany my meal. They did not offer or bring any. I did see they had some on the menu for $5.50. Instead of chips I did get diced onions, cilantro, beans, and lime. These toppings are supplied to every table to dress your tacos. While this was nice it was not quite what I was expecting or hoping for. My bill was around $12 for a soda and the burrito. While the quality was adiquet I feel it was a touch to much. I would give this place 3.5 stars but will edge to 3. I would recommend, if you are looking to a more traditional taco experience. I will probley not return. read more

This was a great yelp find for a fun dinner - especially since I was craving Mexican food. The salsa wasn't my favorite and wasn't too flavorful. It almost tasted like a soup base. The salsa was not included and was an extra charge unlike most Mexican restaurants. The queso... way better than I was expecting. I will 100% order the queso again and not the salsa. The flautas were perfectly crispy and topped with sour cream, green sauce, and queso fresco. AMAZING!!! So much food for your buck. I was going to have the daily special, but you can't say no to flautas! Our waitress was very attentive and helped us with the menu as far as what to order (but she didn't prepare us for how large the salsa and queso were) leftovers were great! read more

This place is certified Bussin. Guacamole was heavenly and chips were made with something special that made them so savory and tasty. The appetizer bean soup was delicious as well. The service was quick and the ambience was chill. Tacos were some of the best tacos I've ever had. Enchiladas had a good sauce and it was all reasonably priced. Nachos had so much potential. I was so excited after a friend ordered them from a taco truck they have. Ordered them through door dash and had them delivered. The chips were so burnt that's all I could taste. No green salsa. As far as the taco truck goes : Tacos from the taco truck were more expensive and had nothing on them like the restaurant ones have. No cheese, no avocado, barely any sautéed onions and $10. Not sure if there has been changes there lately but this place used to be the bomb. Sad. read more

I was really craving tacos today and this really is the only actual taco place in the area. I didn't know what to expect, but here is what I found: Food: This place is definitely more mex-mex than tex-mex. And my tacos were really yummy. I had the Wednesday special which included 1 fajita taco on flour with cheese, 2 bistec tacos and 2 fajita meat tacos all on corn. The meat was really flavorful and tender. Also, they serve the table with salsas, beans, onions, lime and cilantro (plus we asked for sour cream, but I maybe wish I would have asked for some extra cheese too). I was craving tacos so that's all I really looked for on the menu, but I do know they at least also have quesadillas, tortas, flautas, tostados, enchiladas, dessert options and more! Atmosphere: A comfortable, clean and colorful place! They have tons of different size tables and we were able to seat ourselves. Service: Our server was very sweet! I could tell she was trying to find the right balance between being at our table too much or too little and she didn't always nail it, but she tried so I appreciate that! The manager was also very friendly which I always appreciate. The servers definitely speak both English and Spanish. You pay up front normally, but our server allowed us to pay at the table and split the check - love it! Value/Prices: Great! I ordered the Wednesday special and the value was exceptional. I got 5 good size, yummy tacos plus a soft drink for just 6 bucks! Overall: Four stars! A great Mexican food experience that I am so glad I now know about. I'll definitely be back and have already recommended it to my parents. read more

Tacos Del Julio - The Wednesday special! Came with a fajita taco, 2 bistec tacos and two steak tacos! Plus beans and a drink all for just $7.99! - Mexican Near Me - Pasadena, Texas

Tacos del Julio is my favorite sit down taco spot. I avoided this place for years because their storefront looks really Tex Mex. Not only do they not serve Tex Mex but they actually serve my favorite style of Mexican food, Norteña. I searched for so long for a place like this! My go to is the Tacos Especiales de Trompo. Delicious. A taco is not a taco without queso fresco, avocado and grilled onions and Tacos del Julio knows this. I'm not a fan of caldo but the Caldo Tlalpeño here is awesome. It has the right amount of spice and such good flavor. The Taquitos al Vapor, the Enchiladas del Julio. And on and on. The service is great and the staff is friendly. I have even had an event catered by them and they were super helpful. I'm only sorry I judged this delicious book by its misleading cover and didn't try it sooner. read more
