Los Tony's Chiringuito was our favorite place in Marbella to dine. We found Los Tony's before ever leaving the US by doing some research on our own for good paella/ seafood with local yet fresh flavor and someplace that was on the beach , or 'open air' , as the definition of ' chiringuito' means, also near our hotel. We found Los Tony's on our first night in Marbella and we ate here twice. It was amazing both times. The ambience is incredible, as it's right on the ocean with a direct view from any table in the restaurant. The seafood is local & as fresh as it gets. You are presented with the daily catches after you sit. The paellas are also plenty and incredible. There is also a great selection of tapas & sangrias. The first night we had a fresh hake that was oven grilled with a wine sauce over oven potatoes and fresh vegetables. The second time we came we had the sea bass baked in salt & potatoes bravas. Our daughters shared a lobster paella on night one and had a lot of leftovers : We started with croquettas and an Iberian cheese board the first night and the 'crispy gambas' the second. One thing : if you don't want the bread, which is a surcharge of about 1.90€ , say it before it's placed on your table.. it will be charged pp on your bill. Our sangria was the best we had in Spain --and we visited 6 places. I had a small 'jug' of Sangria cava and my husband had the small 'jug' of Sangria tinto (red). Dessert is more than listed on the menu -- it will be shown on a large tray; because I struggle with so many allergies and my Spanish is limited, I decided it was best to stick to what I know .. and it was also amazing. Our service was outstanding each time we came here. There are great restaurants along this beach up and down and Los Tony's is one of the best on Nikki Beach .. make a reservation and get a window table. You won't be sorry. I loved the service, energy and food at Los Tony's. It's not Michelin star good, but its' family and large portions type good. The fish is fresh, it's personalized selections from the chef who comes out and interacts with you. You have the beautiful ocean view, friendly, family atmosphere, and their wine pairing selection was top notch! Had a great time, and also ate and drank well! Gracias los Tony's! read more

Our airbnb was right up the road from Los Tony's so after we got checked in we walked straight down for a little light afternoon lunch. Most people were sitting outside, but the beach in Spain in late December isn't my idea of warm lol, so we grabbed a table inside with a gorgeous water view. We figured we had later dinner plans, so we opted to just get a few appetizers and make it into a tapas style lunch. The service was pretty good, but at times it was hard to get a hold of anyone for drink refills. Trevor and I decided to share some Jamon (of course), some garlic prawns, some pimiento peppers, boquerones and an avocado with shrimp, which probably was our least favorite just because it was a bit too unimaginative. The rest of the menu featured much larger dishes and all of the typical Spanish staples. This is definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for a meal on the beach. read more

Our first night in Marbella and decided to try it since it was next to Don Carlos Resort just past Nikki Beach Club. The best sunset restaurant on the beach without a doubt. Reasonable prices for the location and the food. Our meal for two with wine and dessert was almost the same as eating a salad for 2 at Don Carlos Resort for lunch. They're seafood oriented and everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. They served a lot of a fish dish with the fish baked in a salt crust. Also, a lot of paella ( yes I know I'm not supposed to use that term unless I'm in Valencia). Service is typical for Spain but in their defense they were very busy. Rafa and his son Simon worked very hard to meet our needs. Overall experience is 5 stars. We have already made a reservation for our last night in Marbella and I already know I'm getting the patatas bravas, tempura langostinos, the seafood paella with a bottle of cava ending with strawberries and ice cream. The sunset makes everything wonderful. read more

Don't bother. Food was over cooked and over priced. And beware of the bread and chicken drumettes that they bring which you assume are complimentary...they are NOT. And when we received the bill for the 3 tiny drumettes it was nearly 12€, as much as a salad entree. Crazy! The desserts were topped with what looked like cherries; but no, they were not really cherries at all - it was a cherry flavored/shaped candy. Ick. read more

Outdoor seating was nice but service was awful. Plastic table cloths that seemed kinda cheap. Our friends enjoyed there paella but couldn't get the waiter back to order wine with dinner. We got a chicken dish that was dry and basically tasteless. Would not go back. Other better places to eat on the beach. read more

Food is outstanding, service was great and you can't beat the view. The patio is on the oceanfront with awesome views. We ordered the mixed pallea, calamari and a few drinks. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I will definitely go back before the end of this trip! read more
