Worth a visit for the ambiance alone! But the food is thoughtfully prepared and presented. I especially enjoyed the traditional sardines. Service was also friendly and they were able to point me towards gluten free items.

Good experience at this beach bar! I really enjoyed the gambones el fuego (pictured). We also ordered the fried eggplant with honey and the fried red snapper. The snapper could have had more flavor but overall glad we picked this place. I would return to try the prawns again, they were outstanding!

Calamari - great flavour and delicious!

Beach side, ocean view and good vibes, doesn't get much better than this! We ordered fried sardines and calamari, both were fresh and very tasty. Sardines in particular were well seasoned and not too heavy. The calamari came on a bed of salad which really added to the dish. The service was great and very helpful. A glass of sangria in hand and it was one of the best afternoons ever spent.

Stayed at near by hotel and had lunch here a few times. The food was excellent every time. Fresh seafood prepared in front of you on open fire. Friendly and helpful staff. Very decent prices for the area and food quality. Definitely check it out if you are I the neighborhood.

Sardinas cooked over an open fire on the beach are the best and I can't recommend them enough.

we went to the one with a light blue banner. to get a spot, you have to loiter around the bar…read moreawkwardly until someone leaves and snatch the spot. It's all standing space and the guy at the counter won't pay any attention to you unless you shout "perdon" and have your order ready. the seafood was so fresh. in the case of the gooseneck clams, they tasted a little too fresh and from the ocean (if u know what i mean). the grilled razor clams and grilled padron peppers were phenomenal. the bread and herb aoli was a surprising smash hit, only 1€ and a meal in and of itself. the paella was delicious as well, replete with a variety of different seafoods (including the plumpest of mussels) but it was too salty to enjoy without a beer and ranks second in terms of seafood flavor to the paella from bar santa cruz in se. i did avail myself with glee to the large juicy slice of lemon that came with every plate though.

This was our last stop to visit on our list today. Many bars and restaurants. Fresh produce, seafood, meats, etc. Ambiance - Decent size market. And plenty of surrounding businesses. A nice architecture. It would have been nice if I had more time to visit, too jam-packed of a day. Well half a day, but you know that because you are following. Several entrances. Open 6 days a week from 8am to 2pm or 3pm or when they sell out. Closed Sundays. The fish market is also closed on Mondays. Service - Good, busy. Both locals and tourists here. Price - Competitive market, so very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of foods. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since the 14th century. 1870 when made into a market. 1979 - Refurbished.

Words cannot describe how much we loved and enjoyed this charming tapas place…read more Our stay in Malaga was extremely short, and we had desperately searched for a great lunch spot. Catedral Del Pascaito is simply magnificent. It was one of my top 3 meals during our recent trip to France and Spain. 1) Seafood is incredibly fresh. Everything is literally alive. Yes, alive, that fresh. 2) Great service. Amazing chef/owner. My Spanish is terrible, and I had to communicate with him via google translator. Still, he was super patient, and explained everything on the menu with a huge smile on his face. LOVED the guy. 3) Unbelievable food. Yes, I mentioned that the ingredients were fresh, but everything was prepped to perfection. I highly recommend this tiny clam called Coquinas (12 euros). Simmered in buttery sauce with parsley, these tiny clam lookalike coquinas tasted marvelous. We also had fried fresh white anchovy (Boquerones), which tasted crazy good. It was lightly fried, and the texture was almost fluffy soft. And for only 5 euros, how could I ever find faults with this wonderful dish?!?! We ordered 5 tapas and 3 glasses of wine, and the total bill came down to 42.50 euros. I LOVE SPAIN. The owner seems to love Hollywood movies, as the restaurant was decorated with pictures of famous Hollywood actors, actresses and movies. I really wanted to tell him that his food was better than any tapas I had in NY and DC, but he was too busy, so I couldn't. Next time we return to Malaga, we will surely visit this place again, and we will order everything off the menu.
