While on my travels to Spain, local recommendations led me here to TORO. Amazing food and local wines bring it all together with fantastic water front views. Highly recommend stopping by here, especially if you love sea bass! The service was beyond stellar, as wine was poured and poured often.

Jamón and cheese. Also, tostadas con tomates.

Great spot with wonderful views. This restaurant sits among many and has to be one of the better places to eat in the port. I've been there twice and have had very good dishes. Today I went with the 5 course tasting meal with wine pairings and it was great. A lot of food and wine for 40€ per person. Everything was cooked right and seasoned well. I would say the king prawns with garlic and chili sauce were the best of the meal (even though they were not king prawns). I was happy I didn't have to peel them because they sauce was boiling hot. The one problem here, and I've seen it on other reviews is that our server was pretty bad. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and she spent more time conversing with another waiter than she did thinking about our table. She even forgot to bring the wine during one of our pairings. Then she just left for the day without even bothering to let us know. I was not at all impressed because I got the feeling she would have rather we not showed up. As a result a 5 star experience became 4.

Iberian ham and regional cheeses (with cubes of quince jelly). Bread with tomatoes served with it.

Skip it. Food was terrible. Touristy. Overcooked everything. Only thing good was the cheese platter.

Picture in your head what a stereotype tapas place should look like and I'm pretty sure something…read moreclose to this is what most would imagine. I love this place. Service is slightly slow because of the amount of people that they serve at any given time. So yes understandably, you will probably have to flag your waiter/waitress if you want anything after your initial order is taken because it can seem a little chaotic. The place is total old school Andalusia. How about the food? The food is just as authentic as the look of this place, which is always packed. I had the typical tomato salad with fish which is always delicious because the basic ingredients are always so fresh. Tomatoes stand out here because they are soo good. I enjoyed patatas bravas, salpicon, gildas, jamon, olives and croquetas de toro. What better to wash it all down with than a cup of Jerez amontillado and a glass of tinto de verano. Those that have left mediocre reveiws probably don't know what to expect or have no idea what to order, which, will probably end in an unfavorable experience. If you want a genuine experience of Malaga, then this place should be on your list of places to eat.

Highly Recommended by the Front desk young lady at our hotel…read more Usually packed. Got a table and Javi from Sevilla is taking awesome care of us. Javi made great recommendations. Vermut and several small plates. Order from the Lola Specialties; they are truly different and delicious. However, the whole experience was ruined by two customers smoking strong foul smell Camels at a table. WHERE IS MANAGEMENT...? So Sad. I started coughing and had to leave without dessert and coffee.
