Lovely restaurant. Very open and well lit. Nice bar. Welcoming atmosphere and team effort with regard to taking your order and serving the food. We enjoyed the blossom drink, a nice bottle of red wine, shared the Mediterranean salad. We each for the salmon dinner and it was one of the best salmon dinners we have had in a long time. The wife and I had dinner here while staying at the Marriott resort. The food was pretty good overall. She had the spaghetti carbonara (excellent) and I had the spaghetti with prawns (good). Pasta was a little overcooked but most likely on purpose due to American expectations. The price was moderate and the service was excellent. We came on a Wednesday-Spanish night. 4 1/2 stars. Located at the Marriot Vacation Club. We stayed here for two nights and the last night I figured it would be less hassle to dine in since it was late. We didn't have reservations but we were gracefully accommodated- there was no issue getting a table. The restaurant offers alfresco dining which faces the ocean and has a glass wind wall to obstruct the elements of wind but still enjoy the view. For starters, we were brought rolls and olives along which went great with olive oil. For my main entree, I went with the fresh fish which included veggies, potatoes and it was delicious. I also sampled prawns and it was fresh, large and seasoned perfectly. We ended our last dinner in Marbella with soufflé & ice cream which was blissful. Overall, I was impressed with our ocean view meal and convenience of dining onsite - just steps from our villa. read more

After we checked into the beautiful Marriott Marbella Beach resort hotel we decided to check out the environment near our room by the beach. It was a lovely day, sunny but windy and chilly, so outdoor activities were limited. This restaurant was open and served buffet lunch for 16 euros per person. It provided the usual selections of eggs, bacon, ham potato, baked beans, bread, cheese and cold cuts as well as cereals and juices. Nothing spectacular. Well there's a chilled bottle of Brut champagne (flat!) with the juices. They made fried eggs on requests. The food quality was decent but not well presented. The buffet looked like a bunch of people, most likely kids, just went through and not replenished or tidied up after. Seemed like they were closing and we were the last customers left to forage on our own. read more

After a long day in Morocco, we chose to stay at the resort for dinner so we decided to try Elmed. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere situated above the beach with nice views of the Mediterranean. The menu has some interesting choices with mostly Mediterranean fare and several Sou Vide meat dishes. First, the service was quite slow and it was obvious that the staff was in the weeds from the moment that we sat until we left. We ordered our dinner and a second round of drinks and it took a good 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and only after we asked the manager. Dinner as as follows. I had the Salmorejo (a variant of gazpacho) as my app. The soup was quite thick and came with chopped eggs and jamon. It had a flavor that was off putting almost like the jamon was rancid. I also asked to have it with prawns (an option on the menu) but the prawns didn't arrive. My wife had the gambas Andalusian style which was ok. We've had this dish at several other restaurants and this one was not nearly as good as the others. Of course we had to ask for the rolls that we ordered (Elmed, like many restaurants in the area, charge for rolls) as they didn't arrive with our apps. For dinner I chose the pork cheeks in a red curry and coconut sauce. The pork was good (I believe that it was Sou Vide) with a taste of curry and a creaminess of coconut milk. It included French fries and veggies. The veggies were about 90 percent grilled peppers and about 10 percent grilled squash. My wife had the penne pasta with prawns. Hers was tasty but the prawns were small and there was a lot of garlic in the dish. By the end of the meal the large tables were getting a bit rowdy (throwing rolls across the table at each other) and the service slowed even more. I could tell that we were not alone as I watched another couple sitting for long periods of time until one of them got up to talk to the manager. And finally, while this may seem petty, my wife chose her app because it was 25% off when selected with an entree (a special listed on the menu). Of course when the bill arrived, the 25% was not deducted from the bill. I pointed it out to to the manager and he was going to have it subtracted from the bill. Overall, the food was average and not worth trying as there are other better options near the property. The service was sub-par and the prices are typical high hotel prices. Opt out of Elmed and walk to one of the nearby beach front restaurants... read more

Meh. Waitress said Paella would take 25-30 minutes. we waited 1 1/2 hours for it to arrive, and it was not even as warm as it should be. Probably sat around for awhile. In addition, the quality was only so-so compared to other paellas we had. After paying the bill, I asked why it took so long and the waitress said 30+ minutes is typical (huh?) - this took 1.5 hrs. So she gave us a voucher for a glass of wine for our next visit - which isn't going to happen. Also, very pricey. read more

Fantastic views and wonderful all around experience. Very tasty and interesting options. Very friendly toward our (sometimes worn out & grumpy) 4-year old. The only thing is you must pay attention to the charges on the bill...mistakes on each of 5 checks so far! Note the bread appetizer is a ridiculous 2,50€ each piece before you say yes!!! read more

Really enjoyed our food and service here. The staff was very kind, we were seated and served even though we arrived close to closing time. Curried bull cheeks was very good especially considering it is not a Thai restaurant. Spanish custard for dessert is delicious. This restaurant has a great view of the sea as well. read more
