This is the second time I've come through the drive-thru and my order has been completely wrong. Items are either missing, rung up incorrectly, or I'm handed an entirely different order. Each time, I've had to stop and check every single item before leaving because there's no confidence that the order is accurate. As a customer using the drive-thru for convenience, this defeats the purpose. It turns what should be a quick stop into a stressful process of double-checking everything before pulling away. I hope the team can improve their order accuracy because the repeated mistakes make it difficult to rely on this location.

We don't come here as often as we once did, but El Real is still one of our favorite Mexican…read morerestaurants anywhere. I have been a fan of their carnitas since my very first visit almost 10 years ago and it's still the dish I will order 80% of the time... either as a meal or as a bowl. My wife almost always gets a veggie burrito or chimichanga and we definitely ALWAYS get their chicken taquitos either by themselves or as part of the sampler plate. They've had a few fails over the year, like a few occasions when the taquitos were served cold in the center or when the carnitas over a bed of onions came out waaaay too overcooked and dry. But by and large they have always given us an excellent, clean and consistent dining experience with wonderful servers. To their credit, I don't think we've ever had an issue with any server in all of the years we've been patrons. NOTE: The times they got it wrong were always corrected when I spoke up. The sweet tea here is some of my favorite in all the south (except for this last visit) and also their frozen piña colada is my third favorite ever, with the first being one I had on a random beach in Costa Rica many years ago and the second favorite being at Pepper's Cantina in Panama City, Florida. I don't personally believe their current 3.7 rating is accurate (should be higher), but then again my loyalty might be making my opinion bias. However, any local will tell you this location is packed regularly and is almost impossible to get in on weekends without a significant wait time. Get the carnitas, burrito, sampler, three way cheese dip and a frozen piña colada or sweet tea.

Come for the papusas!…read more Came by for lunch to try some menu items thinking it'll be quick as advertised. I would say the foods are pretty authentic though I would question the "fast". I had a 45 min break and the food took a good 30 minutes. We got the chicharron and cheese pupusas. Ordered 1 and ended up with 4, there's a small language barrier, pork tamales, and a burrito plate. I would probably only go back for the papusas. They were hot and fresh. Came with the pickled veges and sauce. Burrito was good and came covered with yummy cheese but left a bit to be desired. Located in a gas station you place your order at the counter and pay at the gas station register. There's one table but it was covered with merchandise. The gas station interior has always been very tight so definitely something they need to work on. You wouldn't be able to eat in comfortably.

So I decided that something with Tequila was going to be imbibed. Recently my oldest son (yes he is of drinking age), who works in the spirit industry introduced me to the Paloma. I prefer mine with a reposado and that is how Las Margaritias makes theirs. As usual I was promptly served and always with a smile. The owner came by and said hello, even though the place was crowded. In case you are wandering, a medium sized Paloma, consumed with only a modicum of food, was enough to drag me out of the blues. I still thoroughly enjoy this place and the vibe it contains.

As it being our first time, we were a little confused if we needed to wait for someone to seat us or not. There was no workers around..Then I saw a sign pointing to where we needed to order. (No table service, Smokey Gringo is counter service). We ordered 2 kids meal chicken quesadillas, 4 tacos, 2 empanadas, a side of corn, and 2 additional fountain drinks. My total was about $80. The tacos were ok, they were lacking flavor. When I picked up my carne asada taco there was so much liquid dripping onto my tray, but sadly it tasted a little overcooked. The empanadas were huge but dry, even though there was sauce drizzled all over it. The chips were nice and crispy. ** Street parking is available. There was also a small parking lot across the street. Smokey Gringo offers both outdoor and indoor seating. We choose to sit inside. Their prices are pretty high for the little amount of food you get.
