I ordered three tacos à la carte, al pastor style. They have a toppings station with various salsas, radish, jalapeño, cilantro, and limes you can add to your plate yourself. Instead of a fountain drink, I opted for the jamaica which was perfect. Local business has a car crash through the front of their restaurant. We decide to support them by ordering dinner for pickup the Friday night after the incident. (Not our regular Mexican food choice). My husband waits at the counter for an extended period without someone coming out. When she does, she is rude and acts put out. He orders a drink to go and she acts bothered by his request. He thanks her and she says nothing so he thanks her again. Still, she stands there looking irritated by his presence. Yeah, I don't think we will be returning. Maybe, the car crashed through on purpose. Poor customer service skills. Be thankful and gracious! There is always somewhere else. read more

There are few times in my life where I have had a Mexican dish that was life-changing. Where the flavor profile and complexity were so high that I didn't want to want the dish to end. Tacos were so greasy the tortillas could not even hold together because of it & the corn was so over cooked it was hard and just not good. Hijo la pistola! Ok, this place has been around a bit, but I wasn't able to go because of drama with the kid and her ex. Anyway, decided I was just gonna go. So glad I did. So, you order at the front and they bring your food out. We ordered the quesa birria tacos and elote. We also got the kids quesadilla and rice and beans. Start with the negative. Not sure what beans these are supposed to be, but they are pale white and runny. Not very good. Good news, that's the only thing we have found that we don't like! The quesa birria tacos are juicy, crunchy, and cheesey and packed full of flavor. Make sure to get onion, lime, cilantro, salsa and radishes from the condiment bar! The elote is also good. I think it is steamed or boiled as it doesn't have the char that the roasted elote would have. Still very good though! Excellent spot though. Will be going back for sure! read more

This was my first time trying Taco Madre. I ordered the birria tacos and the churro with caramel. I also had the cucumber and lime drink. Service was very quick. All flavors were delicious. You get to add your own toppings to your tacos. My churro was harder in texture than I typically prefer, but tasted good. I will definitely be back to try more options from the menu. read more

I found another hidden gem. Hidden to me anyway..... Delicious food! Flavorful Pastor, crispy cheesy Birria tacos. Creamy Street Corn with all that stinky sprinkled cheese goodness at the bottom of the cup. And a salsa bar!! Small comfy spot. Fast and all very Authentic. Friendly staff and simple menu. Absolutely love getting takeout from Taco Madre every time I'm in the area! The tacos are amazing and always come with red sauce, green sauce, limes, and a bag of onions/cilantro/radish. My favorites are definitely the carnitas, al pastor, and lengua. All 3 of these meats are always flavorful and tender without being over cooked while the carne asada has been too tough at times. The sides are also amazing here including the nachos, the seasoned street corn, and the nacho fries. The fries are always amazingly seasoned despite not being crunchy due to the ingredients within the bowl it always packs a flavorful punch. My only gripe about taco madre is the ever increasing prices, but what can you do in this economy? I will continue coming here on a monthly basis! read more

Pretty decent Mexican food with sub par service and high prices. Taco Madre has the walk up order and pay setup, and then you wait at the end of the bar for your order to be called out. The cashier could not have cared less about how a customer feels about their experience, which is pretty important when your standard burritos are $12 each. I feel good about going somewhere else in lieu of Taco Madre in the future. read more

Awesome spot!!! I took my dad here for his first birria tacos and it did not disappoint. I'm from the city and I've had a hard time finding birria tacos but this place is well worth the drive. The staff was so nice, service was quick despite the restaurant being pretty full, and the food was incredible. Typical order at the counter/take a number type place, but there was plenty of seating for those who want to eat there. Football on the tv. Not the best tacos but it could have been a bad day. I noticed that you get a free dessert with a 5 star review. That could explain all the 5 star reviews that led me here. I ordered steak tacos, carnitas tacos, and birria tacos. The steak taco was super salty and the meat was dried out. The pork taco had a weird taste I couldn't consume it. It tasted old and dried out as well. It could be that the food was from the previous date and reheated. The birria soup/dip had no flavor at all. I also ordered elote and I didn't enjoy that neither. The cheese gave Parmesan sprinkle cheese that goes on top of spaghetti. The inside is clean and the cashier was nice. read more

I have been to this place twice this week! I have tried the birria tacos which have a good crunch with flavor! The salsa's they have at self serve bar are all great! The corn has a nice sweet savory flavor. The nacho fries comes with everything guac and pico I had the carne asada ones and I enjoyed every bite! The people here work really hard and are super nice.
