Lots of room for big parties. We were seated right away. Chips and salsa came out, which were great. My burrito was delicious and came out super fast. Service was great too! read more

Los Ranchos - Mexican Near Me - South Haven, Michigan

Los Ranchos was fantastic. The place was modern and clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. We were a family of six and service was still fast even though the place was busy. The food came out hot and tasted great, everything was fresh and flavorful. Prices were fair for what you got, and the portions were huge, we left stuffed. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want a solid meal without breaking the bank read more

Los Ranchos - Specials - Mexican Near Me - South Haven, Michigan

Wound up at Los Ranchos after discovering long waits at restaurants on Phoenix. Glad our party of 4 could just walk in. Keep an eye on lunch or dinner specials. We got the dinner combo #2 - choice of two and went with two different quesadillas. We also got the El Moreno Special - shrimp tostadas with avocado and lots of fresh shrimp. The small guacamole dip we got for $7 was probably not worth it. Chips with salsa come to the table anyways. It's a big menu, so take your time and look for where your gems are.. read more

Food is always delicious, especially fajitas! The frozen mango margaritas are about the only alcohol I drink...so yummy! Service is good. Only complaint is the queso is thin. read more

We got seated right away and the server got our drink order in a timely manner. We both got the Tuesday special combination. We both had the burrito , I had the chalupa and my wife had an enchilada. The issue was the food had no flavor.. just extremely bland. Not impressed at all.. We will try the other mexican establishments in the future. read more

Great service and food was very good!! Had the fajitas with the chicken shrimp and steak. We shared it between two of us and still had leftovers. read more

We ate here while staying in town for vacation. The food is disgusting. The queso is liquid. The chicken isn't seasoned at all. I ordered the enchiladas suizas that looked like someone vomited on the plate. The meat smelled off, so I only ate the cheese enchiladas underneath. The rice was pale with no flavor and the beans were liquid and unseasoned. The worst part of this is the price. For 4 people, the bill was $100! I would rather spend $10 at Taco Bell and eat something resembling food. Do not go here even if it is a short wait! Disgusting and overpriced! read more

Pretty good food cool environment I ordered the chimichanga and a glass bottle of Coke to go, but I sat down with family who wanted to eat their food in the store and they were from out of town. The staff were really friendly and helpful. read more

First off, the online menu is horrifically incorrect and does not describe food accurately at all - including pricing. Secondly, the food is disgusting. I ordered a burrito - that was nowhere listed as a wet burrito - and what I got looks like slop in a bowl. Also, when I called to place the order, the person on the phone was very rude and short and I shouldn't have even continued with my order. Even a wet burrito looks like...something. This looks like soup with a tortilla under it and it has no taste. First and last experience for this restaurant. If I could give no stars, I would. read more

Large menu, daily specials, good drinks, fast service, short wait times. No reservations needed

Back after last year's great experience and Los Ranchos again was top notch! We sat at the bar and our server was Francisco. He was great. Food was great, beer was great, chips & salsa weee great. Huge menu and reasonable prices. One of the best places in South Haven. read more

Ok let's start with the service it was fast I'll give them that, food from 1 to 10 I'll give it a 7 we had a few items like quesabirria tacos and ok but the meat had lots of fat which can't be appetizing then we also camarones a la diabla they where alright but would eat them again next we had tacos de asada they where ok also next we had breaded shrimp they where also ok and last I had the grilled chicken breast platter the chicken was good rice ehh ok beans also ehh ok. Now drinks agua de melon was good horchata also good but but! One thing we noticed way too much Ice so we asked for another horchata with out ice and they mentioned to us that it will be extra cost which was the same size as the first horchata we had ordered and that was the thing that left me like seriously? Wow I guess, but that would keep Coustomer's from not coming back some hot g small like that trust me. So you guys need to keep that in mind that's all. read more

Food was better than usual but the waiter had a hard time understanding English. Over all very good.

Very good Mexican food options and very well prepared. The fajitas are excellent. A must try is the shrimp cocktail . The servers do a fine job getting your food orders in and out of the kitchen quickly . Missing is a mariachi band to complete your being in Mexico feeling! read more

The food was not good at all the meat was unseasoned and tasteless I wouldn't recommend this spot for Mexican food. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was due to the service they were quick and friendly. The atmosphere was nice a little loud bit all together a nice atmosphere. read more

Just went there, like 10 minutes ago. Lady who answered phone said order was ready in 5 minutes. She was right. Ordered nachos supreme. They are horrible, unless you like stew. The chips were not soggy. Way beyond that. Added chips from chips and salsa bag, always good, right, didn't work. $20 wasted. Not again. Those aren't nachos read more

Food comes out FAST! Even for a large group. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The servers were kind and helpful.

Great service, great food & great atmosphere. I definitely will be coming back in the future.

Easy to get in at 4:15 pm, ordered vodka and lemonade, $10.99 and couldn't taste the alcohol and that was well vodka in a short glass! Ordered a double and barely tasted alcohol, in a short glass and was charged $15. Love their chips and salsa. One person ordered steak & chicken fajitas, almost no steak. My steak taco was good, steak sope was mostly beans, not enough meat and very small for $5.75, cheese enchilada was boring. Staff barely speaks English. They'll do fine during tourist season because almost everywhere else is on a wait. If I did go back, I'd get tacos only, no alcoholic beverages. Pretty boring and expensive for what you get. Thumbs down. read more

Es uno de los restaurantes más limpios y bonitos que eh conocido, la comida esta rica y tienen un buen servio. Recomendado!!

Very bad service and bad appetizers. The waiter also took a long time to take our orders.

Excellent service, good food, good drinks, decent price. We enjoyed Los Rancheros, which has an extensive menu, including plenty of vegetation options. We shared a couple of orders of guacamole, which was delicious. Shared a picture of margaritas and enjoyed that immensely. In short, this is a great place to stop for a bite to eat when you're in the mood for Mexican read more

I really like this place. It's exactly what you'd expect of a Mexican restaurant! Baskets of chips with salsa to start and don't forget a margarita! Try the mango frozen margarita- yum! Hubby had the chicken quesadilla-it was two large flour tortillas loaded with onions and peppers with cheese and chicken then grilled . I did get a bite -but obit one ! It was that good! I had the fajitas pina-I loved the addition of big chucks of pineapple with the traditional fajitas blend of steak chicken and shrimp. I couldn't finish it there's enough for a couple of meals! And there was something so wonderful about their flour tortillas. Warm and tender and very soft. The atmosphere is cheerful and open. We were able to be seated immediately during tourist season and were socially distanced even though it is no longer a requirement for business. We will be back! Hasta la vista! read more

Hit the spot. After a busy morning at the beach, my sons and I were famished. We checked out the 5-hour wait at Clementine's and wandered on to see what we could eat within a reasonable timeframe. Los Ranchos was seating immediately. We went in, ordered, and got some well-prepared and tasty Mexican American food. It hit the spot, was timely, and the service was good. Nothing to complain about and a pleasant experience. read more

Yelp says two stars = could've been better. About right. Overall quite disappointed. My first try at take out. Sunday night on-line order via their web site. Food came out 12 minutes later than website email response. Steak and cheese burrito was very disappointing. Vastly overcooked steak was very dry and tough. Thin cheese sauce did not add anything to the party. Rice is okay. Two quesadillas were okay; nothing special. Finally, the order process did not show $1.50 On-line fee for placing the order; this is a very questionable business practice. Seems like I should not be charged extra if I go on line and do all the work to submit the order. read more

The size, set up and friendliness of staff is what allowed me to give Los Ranchos one star. I am a Mexican food consumer......and unfortunately this is 2nd on my list now of the blandest, least flavorful Mexican meal I've ever had. The additional salsa I requested didn't even in help. Treating my family here for dinner wasn't a waste, but we were all still hungry by when we got home and I needed to brush my teeth immediately to get the "non taste" taste out of my mouth. Unfortunately, won't be returning read more

Very nice and clean restaurant. We were quickly seated and our waitress was attentive. Food was good. Would definitely go back.

We were in town and decided to visit this restaurant and check out the food. For. Saturday night it wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly; the waiter came quickly to take our drink orders while another waiter brought chips and salsa. The restaurant has a small bar area and is decorated nicely; there is also seating for medium sized groups . The waiter gave us a few minutes to look over the menu and returned to take our order. Our food came out fast! We had our food at our table within maybe 10 minutes. We ordered Nachos Carbon, Chimichanga Vallarta and Hot & Spicy Burrito. The Nachos Carbon was a pretty good sized portion and was pretty tasty! The protein was all seasoned well and had enough cheese sauce and the right amount of toppings. The Chimichanga Vallarta was also tasty and well seasoned. I was expecting more protein in the tortilla shell and more cheese sauce on it as well, but it was good. It came with rice, beans and a little side salad (toppings for the chimichanga). The Hot & Spicy Burrito was also lacking some protein filling and some sauce. It actually could have been better with some cheese sauce instead of sour cream, but other than that, it was also good and had flavor. It is a bit on the pricier side for the amount we are used to getting at other Mexican restaurants we have been too, but we would definitely go there again to try other dishes. Their service was spectacular tonight and was much appreciated. read more

Very prompt service! Like drive thru! Aim to please! Pleasant and clean inside. Menu you had lots of choices! Good fresh food!

Usually get takeout at least once when we are in town. Food is familiar Mexican but tasty and they have a lot of variety.

The food was very bland. No seasoning at all. I got the Carne Asada Vallarta and the meat was flavorless and dry. The cactus was slimy and the black beans seemed to be microwaved as the were all busted open, dry and tasted burnt. The service was good. Our waiter got our food out quick. The ambiance was mediocre. Very loud. We sat next to a group of people that had been drinking and were very loud and obnoxious. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

This is the best, by a long shot place to get quality authentic Mexican food on Lake Michigan. Curb appeal does not do this restaurant justice, but once inside you are transformed into Mexico. Great service, with special care to dietary issues. The space is well designed with ample space between tables. This is also one of the cleanest spaces in the county. Oh, and the food is amazing, everything our party had was excellent. Do yourself a favor, stop, do not drive by, you will not be disappointed! read more

A very middling experience. Not terrible, but not good either. Food was bland and the prices had not been updated, so it ending up costing more than expected (but not a lot more). I don't bust the area often, but I won't be returning to this restaurant. read more

Horrible service, restaurant was nice and staff was hustling , not sure where the breakdown happened. We ordered and waited over half an hour then kids plates came out, from my meal I only received a plate of beans & rice and it was cold. Finally after another 20 min our food come out and my main dish was also cold. At this point kids were done eating and whining to go. Didn't bother sending my dish back because I didn't want to wait another half an hour. Waiter never checked on us, we had to flag him down every time. read more

Great menu selections. The fajitas served sizzling - a must have! The scrimp cocktail is a meal in itself. - a LOT of scrimp. Tacos are ok - a tad boring. Servers are great. Food is served hot . Good selection of Mexican beers; they are served nicely chilled. Definitely one of the better restaurants in South Haven. Good acoustics - you can easily have a conversation. Some Mexican music would make it a perfect evening dining experience, just a thought. read more
