get the steak and Cornish hen plate. Trust. Fresh salsa made in front of you. Delish! Mild was still spicy for me so beware if you are a light weight like me. My taste buds are too Americanized ha.
We were in Rosarito for a short getaway. We were fortunate to have found a beach house for the stay. Our good friend hooked us up with an amazing place! We tried Los Pelicanos for dinner. If you're the romantic type, this may be your place: good ambience, soft lighting, great service, and excellent location right in the beach. Ask for the front seating on the second floor to watch the sunset. Parking was secured and patrolled. (We were warned to not walk down the side road to the restaurant; so drive there or catch a cab.). The food was not spectacular and nothing to write home about. They brought us warm tortilla chips and salsa. The margaritas, on the hand, were AMAZINGLY delicious and refreshing. We would come back for the drinks for sure. Overall, good romantic place with decent food, great drinks and excellent service.

They start by bring you complimentary chips and salsa and if you go breakfast they add a homemade sweet potato jam with home baked bread.....simply amazing, My favorite dish for breakfast is eggs and nopales (cactus)..amazing. the breakfast also includes a home made potato pattie. I always get the bacon, very tasty. They offer quail eggs and venison from the owners farm. Most of the employees have been there for many years, all very nice and attentive. Lastly I need to mention that they are very fairly priced for the the quality of food they serve.

This place was something special! We went for the first time this week. We had a large party of 7 people and had no reservations but got seated right away. We were served drinks right away. We had quail appetizers that were very unique. The queso fundido was yummy. The guacamole and sala was impeccable. I ordered a fajita platter. The tortillas were amazing . Highly recommended!
Lovely restaurant with an incredible view. Breakfast on the north wing is a bit loud so I suggest holding out for a table by the water. Or waiting for late lunch. I've eaten here quite a few times and there was only one time where the food wasn't fabulous. It was still good but wasn't what we usually experience here. With the exception of busy brunch time on the weekends, the service is always excellent as well. The staff are very polite and professional, friendly and efficient. This is a beautiful place to have dinner at Sunset, with a view of the ocean. They also have quite a few ideal spots for photos around the restaurant. I highly recommend coming before sunset and snapping some photos before walking through the beautiful entryway and having a great dinner with a view.
Fantastic views and service. Our server both times was Luis and he's awesome. The table side Molé is delicious. We had salmon, tilapia, and marlin tacos. The marlin tacos are so good I was shocked. I didn't expect them to be prepared in such a way. I was expecting a basic fresh non seasoned fish in a taco but they do a special marinade or sauce that makes these tacos delicious. The salmon was great. I didn't have the tilapia but my wife says it was fantastic. We were able to have the table against the edge of the room with a straight view to the beach. That set a great ambiance and made the experience even better.
Food is delicious and treat you as a queen! I highly recommend this restaurant! The view is amazing!
We chose Los Pelicanos to line and prime our stomachs to avoid a bad hangover. After all, we came to Rosarito to check out the party scene and the nightlife it's most famous for! Los Pelicanos had everything I wanted - sizzling oven-grilled meats, the sunset, and staff that speaks English. I couldn't be happier. It was my birthday dinner and I loved it! The Place is beautiful Between rustic and modern. Wow the view to the beach is amazing. Service was great not adding the special treat if it's a special occasion. If you request birthday attention, ;you'll enjoy it. We were 3 guest 2 loved the food 1 said it was good. Overall we all loved it. Wow, thank you

Stopped in for an al fresco brunch with an ocean front view. There is nothing like eating a delicious and authentic meal with the sound of the ocean as your soundtrack. The flavors and textures of the classic meals served here are almost perfect. Their menu doesn't change, and it doesn't have to. They do what they do like a finely tuned machine. The chilaquiles are one of the best I've tried. The eggs are always cooked perfectly and always taste farm fresh. You even try quail eggs and venizon from their nearby ranch. The coffee with canela was delicious! The chile de molcajete was also super delicious. I had to ask for more, 3 times. The tortillas de arina hechas a mano were also the best! The were soft and yummy!! The pan frances was also good. I will definitely come back!!!! read more

The service was good and the food was delicious. I ordered the T-bone steak and it was so tender and cooked perfectly. Of course the view is right on the ocean so that adds to the experience. read more

Pretty basic the food, not much flavor on food. The handmade tortillas where good. Strawberry mojito on the top and mai tai on the bottom. Drinks were ok also. Will take my money somewhere else next time. Also was pricey and not good. read more

Cute breakfast/brunch restaurant. If you sit on the terrace, you'll get an ocean front view. The food is delicious, tasty & fresh. Las tortillas están hechas a mano and they are sooo good!! You will not regret this place. I definitely recommend. read more

The restaurant was a hidden gem, the view and location is so great, loved it! The food was Authentic Mexican (had a rib-eye with chilaquiles, so good) and the view was gorgeous, right on the beach. The service was excellent and they were so accommodating with our 2 toddlers. A must for brunch is their café de olla.. I can't wait to go again. read more

Ok folks, you pay for what you get. It's clean, simple and inexpensive for an ocean front hotel. Pets are not allowed, smoke free rooms, no mini fridge, no AC (but not needed). I really enjoyed my stay, comfy firm mattress, medium firm pillows. Cash payment is preferred, you pay upon check in. Pool and jacuzzi were super clean. No room service! Fab views, hotel has own entrance to beach. Will definitely go again for a low key weekend. read more

If you're looking for a spot on the beach this is it. It's they sanitize and do temperature checks so if you're hot you won't be allowed in. But the view and the service is tier 1. Will definitely be back and recommend this place read more

The hotel was ok. Very bad service and rude. At first I thought food was ok but then I had a very disturbing experience. I was waiting for my breakfast forever but the waiters where eating their own breakfast right on top where they make fresh tortillas. Very disgusting they were chewing their food on top of the masa!! They were not very clean!! The coffee tasted good and it had a nice view. But overall experience just gross! read more

Stopped by for a late breakfast with a large group. This spot has incredible machaca and margaritas. I ordered the combo platter that came with machaca, chilaquiles, beans and papas. My meal was incredible. We also ordered a chorizo cheese as an appetizer which was truly sensational. If you're not a big chip and salsa fan, which all should be so shame on you, they serve bread with a sweet potato purée on the side. This restaurant is attached to a hotel located right on the beach. The service was great and the restaurant was beautiful, definitely want to come back! read more
Walk along the beach from the center of town, past all of the vendors and horses, until you stumble upon a beautiful oasis perched above the sand. This is Los Pelicanos Hotel and Restaurant. The lovely and exotic tables welcome you with the tiki umbrellas sheltering from the hot beach sun. Margaritas flow freely and beer comes to you in a frosted mug. A little out of the way, but truly one of the nicest stops in Rosarito. We didn't try any food, but it looked delicious and everyone around us was complimenting their choices. The wine was good and cheap, the beer was cold and cheap. The bartender was attentive and everyone on the floor was working hard. I highly recommend this stop if you want a nice place for some food and drink while traveling through the area. read more

My husband and I had dinner and stayed for a weekend at los pelicanos. The food was ok, but it was over priced. Just because the lights are dimmed, doesn't make the restaurant fancy. I give the restaurant a 3 out of 5. The hotel is a complete nightmare!! 1- the door didn't close well, we had to play with the doorknob to make sure it closed. 2- the room at best was a Motel 3- the room just like the restaurant was deprived of light. The room only had1 light bulb, and it had a cover on it. You weren't able to see much 4-the room didn't look to clean, the blinds were dirty and the sheets had spots in them. 5- the mattress had bed bugs!! Yes I said bed bugs! We didn't know until we saw all the bits on our body ( I will attach a picture) after all that I give this hotel a 0 out of 5. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. Mi esposo y yo cenamos y nos quedamos un fin de semana en los pelicanos. La comida estaba bien, pero era demasiado cara. El hecho de que las luces estén atenuadas no hace que el restaurante sea elegante. Le doy al restaurante un 3 de 5. ¡El hotel es una completa pesadilla! 1- la puerta no cerraba bien, tuvimos que jugar con el picaporte para asegurarnos de que cerraba. 2- la habitación en el mejor de los casos era un motel.3- la habitación al igual que el restaurante carecía de luz. La habitación solo tenía 1 foco. y estaba tapada. No se podía ver mucho 4: la habitación no parecía estar limpia, las persianas estaban sucias y las sábanas tenían manchas. 5- ¡el colchón tenía chinches! ¡Sí, dije chinches! No lo supimos hasta que vimos todas las partes de nuestro cuerpo (adjuntaré una foto) después de todo, le doy a este hotel un 0 de 5. NO RECOMIENDO este hotel. read more

I love coming to Los Pelicanos! The restaurant here is amazing. I've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The view at Los Pelicanos is epic and the vibe even more so. The hotel here is super cute and even has a beachfront pool & hammocks! I will keep coming here for sure! read more

What a special place this is. I called a few days before our group was to dine and found they do not take reservations but had 11 family members and wished to dine in the patio to watch the sunset. The patio was crowded and they wanted to seat us inside but we asked to wait. They miraculously started finding a table for four they then moved some chairs around then brought in two more tables and chairs. We were all seated and ready to enjoy the cuisine and margaritas. It took three pictures of Margaritas to satisfy the group's thirst. Humberto made fresh guacamole and salsa right at the table and it was absolutely delicious. Our food arrived and we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset that rosarito is known for. The various combination plates such as Mariscos mojo ajo and the one I had which was the Camarones Diablo we're just fabulous. Then we topped it all off with the fabulous flan, probably couldn't buy a better meal anywhere. i almost forgot to mention the fabulous flower tortillas why can't everyone make them that good.
