The free breakfast that's included. The red salsa is delicious.

Booked a one night stay at this resort. Easy booking through Booking.com easy to find about 20 miles from TJ. Love that they were able to check me in before time. When it came to checking into my room, I was told I only had one bed when I booked two I even had confirmation and showed front desk personnel, and they did nothing to accommodate. I had to pay the upgraded charge out-of-pocket. On the plus side love that their pools are heated, great free breakfast, I think all rooms have that great ocean view, overall great customer service. Rooms have no heater or AC but you do get a fan in the closet. Make sure to plug your TV in so that it works.

The location is beautiful! The rooms are a bit old, and musky but not too bad. The view is amazing!! The walk on the beach was exactly what I needed.

The bigger more expensive rooms are really great. The smaller less expensive one are ok though. No matter what room you have, you will have a wonderful diner at thier restaurant. Great chef obviously. The American breakfast was also good. We have stayed there 5 times now and the food and drink is consistently wonderful.

Their staff is incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. The grounds beautifully landscaped and well maintained. We got tickets for complimentary breakfast and it was delicious and generous portions. The coffee kept coming without having to hunt around for servers. Dinner was grilled octopus with roasted potatoes and another veggie also good. Local wine was semi dry and a perfect accompaniment. The next day we ordered the non-complimentary breakfast: chilaquiles with a side of scrambled eggs and beans topped by Mexican cheese and a whole sliced avocado. Also really good! Luis tended bar Friday night and had my sister and I in stitches with his jokes and hearty laugh--always appropriate and respectful yet warm and friendly. The mattresses were unfortunately, on the hard side otherwise I'd say this stay was perfect.

    Great room with awesome view!

Perla was amazing and took really great care of us. We all clicked with her right away and she made sure we got the VIP treatment. Great stay for the value -- same as it was 24 years ago but better with Perla.

Avoid the 4th floor! In winter when the fireplaces are going, you can be bombarded by carbon monoxide chimney exhaust because the exhaust vents RIGHT ONTO THE BALCONY!!! This is unacceptable and truly dangerous. Other than that we actually loved this place. HOT jacuzzi, 2pools, restaurant, and beautiful grounds. Centrally located between Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo (lobster village). And we will come back because it's a great price. Just be aware that there is NO A/C or heat (to my knowledge). So pack accordingly.

I remember entering the double doors of Las Rocas entrance area to lobby ... it was getting chilly and some winds blowing around. Lots of parking to choose from but I'm pretty sure during peak seasons, this place gets packed. My partner and I were looking for an over-nighter during the weekday as we wanted to eat dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant that's on the outskirts of Rosario - Splash. We also wanted to get a few drinks afterwards and hangout at the resort. Las Rocas fit the bill, literally. Our resort bill was half what they normally charge for rooms. We were also given a nice upgrade. Unfortunately, our stay was just for the night. I didn't like that there was no elevator to get to our room on the third floor but it was ok as we didn't have much to lug around. As I've previously mentioned, it was just an over night stay at Las Rocas. However, should we have stayed longer, I would have preferred the bottom floor. The bartender that evening was friendly, engaging and very attentive. Mind you, we were the only ones around and another gentleman. I am pretty sure though, we would have received the same treatment had there been a full house at the bar. Darn, I can't remember his name (Luis?), but I do recall him telling us he's been around for 27 years. Such a dedicated bartender and one can see, he loves his job even 27 years later. Staff at front desk were hospitable and accommodating. The following morning, before our departure, back to San Diego, we had requested to view other rooms. Looking into future stay with our family and friends during summer months. Instantly, I liked the other rooms. They had kitchenettes, an extra room that led to back patio and poolside area, sleeper sofa, and decor had a modernness feel to it compared to that of our room. We had complimentary breakfast. I must say, for being "complimentary" I expected basic, plain and nothing fancy. Surprisingly, it was more than I expected, both in taste and its presentation. The cook won our hearts. We had a good breakfast along with a very attentive and friendly waitress. Also forgot her name. Side note. There was some mini construction like thing going on the front steps section of the resort, that led to the rooms stairway. It was taped off. Nothing to cause alarm or seem as safety issue but hoping it would get fixed when peak season comes around. It's also an eyesore. Our plan is to return again in the summer as we already got a favorably glimpsed of Las Rocas Resort. Overall experience was great- no complaints

This is a nice getaway spot if you live in Southern California. It's about an hour or 2 from the border. It's a quaint place with large rooms that overlook the ocean. They have morning yoga classes and free breakfast coupons. A couple pools and jacuzzis, beer on tap and a couple bars. There's a pool table and karaoke. It's small but if you are looking for a low key spot, this is it. Ensenada is an hour drive south for a nice day trip, and several restaurants about 15 min drive north. Free parking on-site. Nothing really in walking distance. Jesus statue located right across the street.

My boyfriend and I spent one night here in a Gaviotas suite for our anniversary and had an amazing time. Our package included two 30 minute massages which were lovely, a credit toward dinner which was delicious (lots of fresh seafood choices), a credit toward breakfast which was also very fresh and tasty, and a free bottle of wine with dinner. We spent some time in the infinity pool, had some drinks at the bar, and enjoyed the incredible views of the ocean. The service was fantastic-- everyone was so kind and attentive. Highly recommend!

We have been here multiple times and we have never been in a room that was filthy like the one we had. Apparently the rooms on the right side of the resort are the "basic" rooms. We have always stayed on the left side "suites" and have always had a good experience. Extremely disappointed with the experience.

    Another terrible sunset. :P

Overall the best, most authentic resort hotel to stay while in Rosarito Beach. Not downtown with all of the congestion but only a 7 min drive if you wish to go into town. I have been a guest of this resort for over 24 years and can tell you the deal. Hands down coolest place. Best views from every room. Fantastic bars and restaurants on site. Friendly staff. Spa services. Package deals. We got married here as well. No brainer. Willy is the wedding and event coordinator that is a sweet man with professional attention to detail. The property is stunning. 2 pools next to the ocean, 3 hot tubs, large grass areas, access to a private beach, volleyball, outdoor games like beer pong and corn hole, palapa bar and restaurant seaside. Large banquet hall and many events hosted year round. Kareoke and Pool table in the inside bar. Secured parking. Walking distance to a very popular surf break. K38! Being honest I will tell you that you may have a light bulb out occasionally and if you are looking for a big US hotel chain aesthetic it will not be found here. Las Rocas is appreciated for its authentic Mexican design and decor. Clean and stylish with saltillo tiles, fresh Mediterráneo white paint and palm trees. Each room has a patio! Most of the staff have been there since I discovered Las Rocas and I am proud to call all of them my friends and look forward to seeing them. Luis, Roberto, Memo and Jonathon at the bar. Alfredo and Sergio at the front desk. Maria and all of the housekeeping ladies. Mario and all of the security guys. Cesar the GM. To name a few. If you are lucky, you might run into Dave and his sweet dog or along with any of the other owners. Absolutely a joy to spend time with these people that have produced and have maintained the best spot in Baja. And even I just might be there as self-appointed pool table and customer service hostess. ;) It's very easy to find Las Rocas and it is a mirror 2 1/2 hours from LA if you drive early in the morning. ALSO, I SUGGEST PARKING YOUR CAR IN THE SECURE, PARKING AND HIRE A TAXI CAB TO GET AROUND. SAFEST WAY WHILE VISITING MEXICO. ASK FOR JIMMY. HE IS A LONGTIME DRIVER AND QUITE A CHARACTER. While visiting Las Rocas, you may want to walk up to the highway and go to the right to find some of the best street tacos at K38 taco stand as well as there is a nice little convenience market and surf shop. Also, there is a pharmacy and some of the best coffee as well as a brewery with great food and live music. I could go on but it's best that you just book a room and go down and see for yourself. It is so close, but you really feel worlds away. Enjoy.

Beautiful views, decent food and wonderful staff. The room was basic and outdated. However, at the low price point I did not expect luxury. There's a palapa bar, infinity pool, laid back lounge and a restaurant. It's slow paced and relaxing. It's away from the craziness of Rosarito. I would come back!

    Great view!

It was my first little trip to Mexico and my husband took charge of planning. I was so pleasantly surprised with how well he did choosing Las Rocas! Every room has an ocean view and the food at both Ursula's and the cafe were delicious. Would definitely come again!

While the ocean view was beautiful, that's honestly where the positives end. The room was very pricey (almost $400 for one night). The couch was extremely uncomfortable hard, worn out, and you could literally feel the metal underneath. The main reason I booked this hotel was to relax and get some work done, so before booking I specifically asked the front desk if the room had WiFi access. I was told yes, so I booked. After checking in, we went out to dinner. When we returned and put the kids to bed, I tried to work there was NO WiFi. I went downstairs to the front desk (in another building), and they handed me a paper with nearby WiFi networks. None of them worked. I called the front desk again and was told they would check with whoever was in charge and call me back. They never did. The next morning, I called again and was finally told that there is no router and no internet in that room. At that point, I felt completely misled like they told me whatever they needed to just to get me to book the room. Their solution? * Work in the main lobby in another building (not possible I have 3 kids and can't leave them alone), or * Use another room only for WiFi, but I wasn't allowed to sit on the beds, use the restroom, or really do anything except sit there. I chose the second option, but it was a huge inconvenience. The room they gave me was 16 rooms away, on the other side. I had to take all my kids with me. At one point, my youngest needed to use the restroom, so we walked all the way back to our room only to find that my key no longer worked. We had to walk all the way back to the lobby again to reset the key just to get into our room. Overall, this was a stressful, frustrating experience. The lack of honesty, poor communication, and total inconvenience showed a real lack of care for guests especially families. I would not stay here again. Después de hacer check-in salimos a cenar. No volvería a hospedarme aquí.
