    The ocean sounds beautifully furious
    Monica E.

I made a reservation through Airbnb and highly recommend that route. The general going price for a direct booking through the resort, however, is $300 for a two bedroom and $400 for a three bedroom condo. To the details. This was such an enjoyable stay, and I genuinely look forward to a revisit. I will hit the highlights: THE GROUNDS Who was the master mind who built the attached garage? I mean, thank goodness for it, but it is nearly impossible to make it up without having to back your car up at the curve of each level because whoever designed this thing obviously either rode a motorcycle or drives a Mazda Miata. I know the whole reason you are even here is to relax and take care of your frayed nerves, but you will need a bit of patience just getting to your room. You will find security throughout. They check your vehicle in when you arrive and let you out of the gate each time you leave. They will be checking your wristband when you head out to the pool and jacuzzi areas, and on foot monitoring behaviors. Overall, I felt safe and secure here and had not a single issue. There are several pools, two of them heated. And there are pools for children and adults only, which is a boon. You will also find more than a half dozen jacuzzis facing the open ocean, which is insanely romantic and quite relaxing. The only issues, as others have mentioned, is that the temperatures are off and they are not always clean. We tried four different jacuzzis and they were lukewarm. The warmest one, which was mildly hit, had a problem with the jets. In fact, there appears to be a problem with all of the jets. Instead of shooting out, they shoot up. As far as cleanliness, this is in an area built to look like the tropics, in some parts. Lots of trees and brush, and also a sand mount. Unfortunately, when the wind picks up -- which is often -- all of that results in debris clouding the pools and jacuzzis. It happened multiple times during our stay. And even though we saw the team members working late and in the mornings to try and clean the water, there was often some level of debris present in the water. THE CONDO Love. Love. Love. The first thing you see when you open the door is the wide open ocean behind floor to ceiling glass. Each of the units faces the ocean head on, and we had the good fortune of being on the 18th floor. What a joy and a treat. We never fully closed the sliding doors the entire visit, allowing the roar of the ocean lift in throughout the condo. I am a water baby. I felt I was transported to my home land with such beautiful views and sounds from the ocean. Our rental had just about everything we needed. Again, rented through Airbnb, so if you are renting direct, you may have a different experience. In addition to a full kitchen that was partially stocked (the owner even provided welcome beers, some canned goods, cocoa, coffee and tea), we had two television sets, two portable fans, a one-unit washer and dryer, access to a surf board and a grill on the massively large balcony (outfitted with comfortable lounge chairs and an outdoor sofa), among many other perks. Note: Las Olas has strict rules for visitors, including limits on how many people can stay in your condo and the noise level. I respect and appreciate these limits because it results in an overall family and couples vibe and less of a party vibe (at least it appeared that way during our time of visit -- not certain what it is like during spring break and the summer months). LOCATION While the drive to Ensenada will be about 1.5 hours (a little under, actually), you are right in the armpit of Rosarito. It's about 15 minutes away. That means you have easy access to all the city has to offer only a short drive away. Taxis are quite popular if you don't have a ride, though I am not certain the costs from the hotel. Also, there is no sandy beach directly off of Las Olas. If you want a beach day with the family where you bring out the blankets, umbrellas and boards, you should head back up north or a bit further south. It's all rocky terrain and right into an ocean full of seaweed here. OVERALL COST It is pricey for the area. That's the undeniable truth. You can easily find a beautiful home or room to rent in the $100 per night range. The amenities, location and views make Las Olas. This location has a ton to offer, including a sauna and exercise room with ocean views and also a restaurant on site. They also have several fire pits lining the back of the property, overlooking the ocean swells, as well as a tennis court and a half basketball court, both painted blue. However, the COVID-19 pandemic means that few of those amenities will be accessible to you and, indeed, those wonderful perks that make up for the steep costs were not open during our visit and will likely not be open for some time.

I made reservations through Airbnb for Thanksgiving. The place looked awesome, great views, nice large and modern condo, was really looking forward to our trip and then a week before the trip, I thought I'd check out the reviews on Yelp. Wow, not too many nice things were said about this place and it was too late to cancel. Well, other than it raining 90% of the time, the place was great! The condo had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay including Netflix. Parking was secure, all the people I came in contact with in the complex were very nice. All said, we had a great stay and the host was very helpful. We will try this place again in the summer time to enjoy all there pools. We rented directly from the owner of the condo but It looks like the complex also rents out units like a hotel, likely where the bad reviews originate from. This place is next to the old Calafia hotel which looks like it's gone to hell in the last 20 years.

    Quiet evenings

I recently rented a 2 bedroom from a private owner via Airbnb and so glad I didn't cancel after reading some of the bad reviews on Yelp. We travelled midweek from CA for 2 nights and loved it. No issues at all. It was very quiet with very few cars parked in the garage. I left my Mercedes convertible in the garage with no issues for our entire trip. I didn't use the amenities but everything looked nice and I could see constantly maintained by staff on site. The location was extremely safe as well. I wasn't allowed access to the gym as it's for residents only which was a bit of a bummer but not a deal breaker. And the restaurant was also closed which would have made our stay perfect. 4 stars because the location is a bit far from restaurants and stores. We were able to get an Uber to Puerto Nuevo but couldn't get one back to the resort and had to overpay for a taxi. I would for sure stay here again to explore more areas. Beautiful area with amazing ocean views.

Probably my favorite place in Baja Beach. Great apartments, fabulous pools and Jacuzzis, the Restaurant is actually good, with a delicious brunch on Sundays. Stunning views, gym, sand areas, basketball & volleyball courts, lots of security and parking space. And last but not least you can "buy" actually some of the condos or the complex, so that is a plus. My only "but" it's that such a beautiful place needs maintenance and they are not doing the work. The floor wood looks pretty old, the gym equipment needs to have a little "update" the Sauna didn't work and it's not etiquette code for the pool areas, so it's most of the time not very suitable to have Children's there : ( Very lousy during the weekends, people drinking and playing music so loud that actually invade your own space. Hopefully the administration will work in this issues because this place is a little gem!

This place is beautiful! However plan and pack accordingly . Pack some food to store in your room because the restaurant has no available dining service due to covid. We had to step out for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day to purchase something and the restaurants/ super markets are not very close . Other than that the resort it's self was great. The gym equipment needs some revamping but the sauna was one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. Highly recommend you check that amenity out . There were also plenty of jacuzzis and pools none of which were ever too busy , I would definitely come here again, just plan more efficiently.

    Horrible service

People from USA don't fall for the pictures in the website this hotel is terrible, nothing u see on the website is real the place was empty no wonder why employees are assholes service is trashy the pool and even the hot tubs are cold and far away from the rooms , limited services , the elevators are not in service , the access to the pools and restaurant is confusing .. This people are fkn THIEVES they check the room before the check out to charge u $$$ with any excuse for damages , I was with my kids this weekend and my baby accidentally stained the bedsheets with ketchup from the food I ordered from their kitchen I know is totally washable, but they still charged me $80 dollars for an stupid flat sheet .!

This place exceeded our expectations. The views... The amenities... The room layouts are all exceptional. Feels like a place like this would be in Malibu, not Rosarito.. Three huge infinity pools, 8 jacuzzis(some private), Oceanside workout room.. it's just gorgeous. The only thing I would have liked is if there was direct beach access. But overall an amazing place. We'll def be back.

While the ocean view was beautiful, that's honestly where the positives end. The room was very pricey (almost $400 for one night). The couch was extremely uncomfortable hard, worn out, and you could literally feel the metal underneath. The main reason I booked this hotel was to relax and get some work done, so before booking I specifically asked the front desk if the room had WiFi access. I was told yes, so I booked. After checking in, we went out to dinner. When we returned and put the kids to bed, I tried to work there was NO WiFi. I went downstairs to the front desk (in another building), and they handed me a paper with nearby WiFi networks. None of them worked. I called the front desk again and was told they would check with whoever was in charge and call me back. They never did. The next morning, I called again and was finally told that there is no router and no internet in that room. At that point, I felt completely misled like they told me whatever they needed to just to get me to book the room. Their solution? * Work in the main lobby in another building (not possible I have 3 kids and can't leave them alone), or * Use another room only for WiFi, but I wasn't allowed to sit on the beds, use the restroom, or really do anything except sit there. I chose the second option, but it was a huge inconvenience. The room they gave me was 16 rooms away, on the other side. I had to take all my kids with me. At one point, my youngest needed to use the restroom, so we walked all the way back to our room only to find that my key no longer worked. We had to walk all the way back to the lobby again to reset the key just to get into our room. Overall, this was a stressful, frustrating experience. The lack of honesty, poor communication, and total inconvenience showed a real lack of care for guests especially families. I would not stay here again. Después de hacer check-in salimos a cenar. No volvería a hospedarme aquí.
